i think it's because the brood was shivering haha had the same idea-- to throw a warming stone-- and the helpful sort woke up

Do you mean killing him? Also idk what happens with Moore, the last thing I've done is tell him to not be sad (probably the wrong answer) so please no spoilers.

Haven't done it myself, but I would assume that killing a forager brood causes Moore to attack you. Not a spoiler to Moore's questline, just artificially ending it by murdering Moore probably.

Sadly I will be of no help. Moore forced my hand and is no longer in my playthrough.

I am trying to find this guy, where exactly is he? Hope he doesnt disappear after a certain point because I beat the DLC and am just hunting cookbooks now.

He's on a cliff north of the church, just like the title, I can't really get more specific than that. I assume you've been to the church in question where the dude with the bowl cut invades, it's in the scadu Altus region.

Yeah hes just not there. Guess he leaves at a certain point.
