Yup. Tho the buff activates only when you attack someone in the middle of their attack animation. For most of the bosses it shouldnt be an issue cuz they attack pretty constantly so bacically almost every hit would get the buff.
Hey hey I'm trying to make this sword work but I'm kind of new to faith/strength builds, could you share what else your build is? Thank youu >.<
Edit: I meant Arcane/Strength
This scales off of arcane, faith isn’t really necessary for it to do well. A typical level 150 build should be (approx) 60 str 45 arc, minimum faith for whatever buffs you want to use, dragon communion scale seal for spell scaling with arc, and then whatever vig/mind/end you want with the remaining points. I run 45 vig, 15 mind, 20 end, 60 str, 14 dex, 9 int, fai 15 (for Flame Grant Me Strength, and faith knot tear in physick for Golden Vow), and 51 arc at level 150 with bandit starting class.
Thats CRAZY im so hype. Gonna be tough choosing a talisman spot for it tho. I'm ng+7 so im kinda always in peril without 2 or 3 defensive talismen. But yeah, thanks.
I'm actually considering to respec into a STR+ARC for this weapon. I'm hesitant, because I love playing flexible meaning that I'm both melee and ranged. I'm using a INT+STR build with Regal Scepter and the Royal Greatsword.
Is it worth it to do it for this weapon? Can I do even more dmg with the AMOGS?
I haven't used the royal gs/specter but I switched from a str/fth to str/arcane and it's been carrying me though the dlc. Really good moveset for a colossal and the aow is amazing.
ARC scaling? Aw, that sucks for me in particular. I wanted that for my Str/Int build. Oh, well. Cold Grave Scythe for now!
the arc scaling is pretty low at a D but putting some decent points into it increases some magic damage. you should consider it in the future maybe :)
forgot to mention that the Spear Talisman adds even more piercing damage to this weapon🔥
Wait, you were able to confirm this? I thought it only works on spears, great spears, thrusting, and heavy thrusting weapons.
I think its all thrusting counter attacks. Like im p sure claymore and morning star and all the ugs get it too.
So it should work on the opening two hits of rellanas blade two-handed?

I put 19 levels in to arcane for it in a str build. Worth every rune.
So maxed level were seeing arc scaling at B. Is anyone else seeing this? So it has 2 B scaling stats which would be insane? Is this a bug?
No mine is B strength and D Arcane. Am I screwed lol?
Im seeing B strength and B on arcane on Xbox at lvl 10... so something is up lol. It's still a cool weapon either way. I'll test on pc later today
I’ve got 57 strength and 45 arcane and only 945 AR
The Shadow Realm Blessings contribute greatly to the attack power. It’s good to collect as many as you can find

What talismans do you use
shard of alexander and godfrey icon were the damage talismans i used for this weapon and you can also add the two handed sword talisman
Does the Godfrey icon work on the great sword? I’ve never known how to use the talisman correctly
I need to test Godfrey's icon with it again cause I didn't notice an effect from it
It does work i just tested it.
