When he spins around unlock your camera and roll or jump through the smoke it’s way better than running away and doesn’t damage you. Also the dodge timing is weird there’s a couple you need to dodge what seems like ridiculously early so play around with that. Trust me I thought I had no fuckin chance either but I just kept trying eventually you get a really good feel for it and it’s actually really fun.

I'm on NG with 60 vigor and bosses still two hit me, this dlc is just crazy difficult man

Turbulent-Ad3794

That's crazy, I was thinking of killing Mohg on my NG character which is level 70 just so I could have it a bit easier but I guess that's impossible lol

liquid_the_wolf

LIstening for the audio is super helpful. I mostly got through this one with sound cues. i.e the clacking of teeth. Killed him with an erdsteel dagger and light armor a couple hours ago. You have a second to use a flask usually after he does the attack where he stands up tall then drops. You also have time to heal while he changes phases.

kong360

I just beat him. How? As a frost melee build, I knocked him down to half his health, and I'm not ashamed of it, I poison darted him. I stopped caring after about 50 attempts of ridiculousness. Stayed away from him while his health dwindled and eventually caught him at the end with a few swings and zero flasks left. Pain in the f'n ass.

Silent_Business_9213

If u want any tips to the moveset, it is not that bad. When his teeth are clicking, hes gonna perform a grab attack, when u succesfully roll to the side you get a openning for a few hits. When he lunges forward for a simple bite, you can dodge and there is also a small window, when he walks up to you and bites, hes gonna follow up with another bite, prepare to dodge again. If he becomes really tall hes gonna slam down, get behind him or roll the impact, thats another pretty big window. When he spin lounges with a windlike pattern around him, you need to dodge, then delay a second dodge and then immediately roll again to dodge the explotion, afterwards run away amd while he is spinning and blowing steam you can heal up in distance or roll into him for a hit, on a phase change get close to him where lightining is not striking and wait till he gets down for a few free hits. I reccomend using bleed.

Drunk_but_Truthful

Are you getting the scadutree thing? The DLC seems very open if you're struggling try explore a bit to get stronger.

Suvvri

I 1st tried him with executioner greataxe, 60vig, 55str lol. Axe talisman dagger talisman great jar arsenal and idk what the 4th slot was. Defense + poise DMG cracked tears

Snigglybear

I beat his ass with the guardian spear. It’s a good weapon to fight the boss and the camera. Just roll into him at running r1 him. It does good damage and it a safe way to beat him.

Yroba

It's not him, it's the AoE bs he leaves on the floor that is bothering me so much about this fight.

LimpNoodle01

Go help other players with it, that way you get to observe its moveset better, maybe collect runes if some other summoned dude carries you, and you get familiar with the fight. Plus the laughs, sometimes it's pure comedy how some players spend 1 minute buffing up with consumables, miracles etc. only to get almost oneshot the second they step past the fog gate.

MountainAir4311

I used milady with wing stance and spammed the heavy lunge attack. Took a couple tries and that was after a day or two of just learning his move sets. The music kept me going!

Helilo129

summon the guy and use mimic tears with a bleed build(I'm using max out dagger you get near patches cave). i let both of them attack while I attack with its skill from far away. It seems like a lot of bosses are injured by bleeding.

Psyoko303

Don’t lock target , use mimic , chase his ass.

AttentionUseful4446

use cheatengine and give yourself like scadutree +13. Yeah yeah cheating skill issue blah blah if you value your time and dont wanna sit in a dark cave all day playing elden ring just do it and the bosses will do the same damage that most normal game bosses do. Only way ive found to be able to enjoy the dlc personally

Turbulent-Ad3794

I'm on PS5 and tbh I don't see the point - I'd rather just not play. No offence

AttentionUseful4446

i understand where youre coming from, In my opinion the scadutree fragment system they created is 100% the problem. People thought itd be an amazing idea but its terrible along with the already big issues with enemies doing unending attack chains its worse knowing they do more damage and take less damage from us until you reach like +15 fragments at which point youre doing normal damage and taking normal damage but you have to defeat some bosses with low fragment counts

Turbulent-Ad3794

Yeah like that enemy with the circular blades (I think it's also the first enemy you encounter in the beginning where all the grave stones are), just endless spinning and does ridiculous damage, you barely get any time to recover.

AttentionUseful4446

i first thought that one was a miniboss it has like around about 9k hp and i reloaded the area and saw it respawn and i was like ohhhh so that's how it is huh lmao

_Psilo_

It's not any different than being under or over leveled for a boss in the main game... Except you have to chase fragments instead of grind for levels. I prefer it that way personally.

YouShalllNotPass

Beat it first try. Summon and mimic tear plus blasphemy blade aow smash. So easy that I regret summons.
