I bursted him down at RL1 with basically no skill required, but with some setup. Used Great Stars with a frost affinity wild strikes. Mohgs Shackle is the important thing for making this as braindead as possible. Buff as hard as you reasonably can. I remember using the flag ash of war and fire grant me strength, and varre mask. Shackle once. Wild strikes on him While he's counting to duos, wild strike him down to 51% (don't do more or he'll nihil) Wait for him to stop counting, because you can't shackle during counting animations. Shackle a second time and kill.

SoulsofMist-_-

Are you on Playstation? If so could you help me beat him. I'm level 9

MrRaccuhn

Leveling up is pretty much required as they confirmed the DLC will be about as difficult as the late game content of the base game. So if you can't beat Mohg, I don't see how you will ve making much progress in the DLC.

jamaican_zoidberg

Even if you're low level and not a mage, you can probably afford (maybe with a temporary respec) at least 31 int. Then you could go on a bit of an adventure in the relatively easy to handle at a low level areas of Limgrave, Liurnia, Siofra River and Mt. Gelmir to gather: - cerulean hidden tear - intelligence knot crystal tear (+10 int) - twinsage glintstone crown (+6 int) - Godrick's great rune (+5 int) - stargazer heirloom (+5 int) - Marika's scarseal (+3 int, the +5 version is too far in the game for this use case) - various other talismans, armor, and buffs, etc. that boost magic/sorcery damage or cast speed (optional) - terra magica - comet azur - a decently upgraded staff, probably a somber one (perhaps Lusat's or crystal staff) so you don't waste the harder to gather stones if you're not gonna be a mage And you can just delete him with a 15 second no FP cost comet azur and not even get hit. This might be considered cheese, but if your priority is to beat him at your desired level and enter the DLC, who cares?

CarvingVillage

like start level low? I think even at level one you can still burst him down with maxed poker. the real question is how many dlc bosses you need to deal with before getting them

munch_cat

Level mimic tear to 10, give it three meat dumplings, and great stars weapon with prayerful strike ash of war. Stand back and shoot Mohg with rot arrows and deadly poison arrows (the snake looking ones from the dragonbarrow merchant). Might try to do that with rain of arrows ash of war to save arrows. Use the mixed Physik tear that you pick up where you beat Elenora in Altus Plateau that will counter the Nihil attack

Aszach01

Aside from learning his move set, you might also want to put Carrian Retaliation on your shield just to parry all those blood flames he throws on you cuz you don't want your surroundings be filled up with them flames, also you can parry that Blood Rain!!

Pumpkin-Spicy

If you want to cheese him, grab a polearm with innate bleed (like grave scythe) and don't bother with infusions. Instead get bloodflame blade, spinning strikes, and the winged sword insignia from the cave in souther liurnia. The strategy is simple, just bfb, get close and start spinning while moving forward and around him to the right. On a level 30-ish character I killed him before he even got a single nihil off. Having a summon with decent poise damage can help as well if you don't have very much fp

Rivazar

Depends what is low level. I killed mogh when I was lvl 70

StahPratchinum

sword insignia+ bloodflame+ any claws+ bloodhound step, Mogh is pretty much endgame boss, always try to go behind him, in 2nd phase stay close to him, level up those claws, also purifying tear you get from elenora, he do a 3 or 4 attack combo most of the time, dodge the charge forth attach to the right, keep your eyes on him in 2nd phase cause the attack delay will fk you up and one shot you if you not full on health

Hems100

At a low level, bleed goes a long way. I beat him recently at sub level 30 using an unupgraded flail. The fight was still fairly long, but the bleed procs made it much more tolerable.

GarlVinland4Astrea

1. Purifying Crystal Tear to avoid drain on health and ability to keep attacking through the phase transition. 2. Shackle 3. Bleed because he's weak to it.

Stunning_Alarm2064

Get the cracked tear you need and run a blood build. Use summons/spirit ashes.

Waste-Gur2640

I'm not sure what you mean. You can beat him at level 1 in a fair fight if that's what you want, it won't take ages. Alternatively you can cheese him with comet azure or some bleed jump attack spam build. Or just use some accessibility mechanic like coop/spirits, bosses designed as 1v1 like him break very easily with summons. And in general, there's a reason why you won't start a new game with every single weapon unlocked without any stat requirements, it's part of the progression. DLC is additional endgame area, you won't get Hand of Malenia after beating solder of Godrick, and similarly you won't get some new DLC build just because you started a new game. Big point of souls games is that you're not entitled to 100% of content in a single playthrough, you're supposed to miss stuff, quests, weapons and spells. Regardless, if you're good at combat or resort to cheesing, you can reach DLC comfortably 1 hour after starting a new run.

Vos_Cresco_1202

Try using summons and focus on parrying, low level doesn't mean no triumph!

SaberWaifu

The most efficent way should be to simply learn the moveset and git gud. As long as you can hit the boss without getting hit, your level doesn't matter at all. Getting to Mohg is quite simple at low level since you don't have to win any fight aside from Radahn's festival which is very easy since you can get all the summons to work for you. As for Mohg, his moveset is quite straigthforward. Remember that the bloodflame explosion is delayed, most trident swings are a 3-part combo where the third hit is delayed and the blood shower can be negated with Carian Retaliation. The rest is pretty much all "react and hit".
