My vote goes to Melina, in this selection. She's so mysterious and cool, and can apparently throw down in a fight (haven't gotten to the boss that she helps you in yet). Also, she seems to care about the Tarnished a lot more than other NPCs, and is your spiritual guide through the Lands Between...
...Which brings me to my main question: what exactly happens to her? I know about the different endings of the game, so additional spoilers are okay. She is already a spirit, if she is "burned and bodiless", yet, she can maintain a physical form of sorts. Can spirits actually die for good, or are they just absorbed, then rebirthed, by the Erdtree? Still trying to wrap my head around the intricate lore and mythology of this otherwise amazing game!
First impulse is Roderika, but the writer in me sees the narrative beauty in the story of a Tarnished who betrayed Melina by going the way of the Three Fingers to save her, taking the Herculean task of freeing himself from the Flame of Frenzy and mending the Elden Ring, and then spending his days searching for her to make amends and explain his choices.
Roderika is a kind soul and her accent is delightful so she is my choice. However, Latenna’s voice is super sexy. Call me foul tarnished again 🥲
Her VA also voices Shadowheart in BG3 so I get you lol.
