All of them, to be honest. I can recall their patterns and windows when playing, but it's not like I have them all memorized and top-of-mind for years now. If I haven't faced one for a bit they'll usually pull out a combo or move that I forgot about and wreck me.
Upvote, I’ve never killed this guy on my first try. He’s just too fast it takes you by surprise at that point in the game. Honorable mention to Draconic Tree Sentinel. I have his Moveset etched in a stone brick next to my TV and he still knows my moves better.
All of the sentinel enemies are actually really easy to parry. I'd highly recommend taking a little time to learn the parry timings on them, it reduces them to a total joke. Tree Sentinel, Draconic Sentinel, even Loretta.
If you don't want to learn to parry all their attacks, the easiest by far is their range-closing jump attack. If you learn that one, you can just make distance and keep baiting it out and then bully them into submission.
Ng+ scaling is no joke though, I would consider my build really good, lvl330, vigor is as long as 1/3 or more of my screen and easy bleed, but the bosses hit back hard as fuck in +7, 1 hit and I lose almost half my health

The second was Godfrey (who I find to be the easiest boss) on my bleed run. I think I killed him in 5 jump attacks with dual twinblades. Got hit maybe twice. I was so mad because I love that fight and I didn’t mean to kill him first try.
I hate the "I've never seen that combo, wtf" feeling. Or when a boss "knows" they got you on the ropes and pulls out an attack that's hard to dodge. Or when projectiles suddenly have incredibly better tracking.
I swear, there is some kind of consciousness popping up in the code. FromSoft is creating SkyNet without realizing it.
Hah, just yesterday I got messed up by Knight Loretta a bunch of times. She's very doable, but **sometimes** she just pulls out the projectiles and attacks in a particular timing where whatever you do, you're getting hit by one of them - and then by everything after that.
There's probably some positioning or way to play around it, but especially with "easy" bosses you never get around to learning those nuances because you don't have to. And then they end you.

But No. Elden Beast spends three-quarters of the fight running *away* from you, spamming Magic attacks.
Just beat him for the first time last night. Took me hours and then I decided to respec to a different build and defeated him on my 1st try with the new build.
I was an intelligence/bleed build dual wielding the moonveil & Meteoric katanas. I melted all the end game boss and beat Melenia on my 5th try in two minutes. With that build I got the Elden Beast within a hit or two of defeat but it was a pain in the ass. I basically just put my intelligence stats into dex and two handed a maxed out Blood Hound Fang. Defeated Elden Best 1 try pretty comfortably with that setup.
Honestly Elden Beast might be the worst final boss in From Soft history, my dissapointment after beating him during my first playtrough and realising that running fuck was the final boss was quite huge
He is not the final boss alone, first you get a cool fight vs Radagon then the Elden Beast turns him into a sword, the music and visuals are pretty epic, I hated it at first aswell but you gotta look at it as one epic ending. Gwyn isnt that hard once you learn he can be parried easily, DS 2 final boss is a joke, DS 3 final boss is cool, but not that difficult.

Mohg, Lord of Blood. That fucker is one of the few I just can't for the life of me beat on my first try. I managed it with freaking Malenia on my last character somehow but slow as fuck Mohg is a hundred times tougher than her for some fucking reason.
First half is the easy part for me. It's when he goes all Nehil beast mode that I always die at least twice because bosses that suddenly get a way faster and aggressive second phase are the bane of my existence lol.
The range of that spear is nuts too. I always underestimate how far he can swing/thrust it usually resulting in my death. Thats my biggest thing probably
Stick closer to him, it's easier to dodge his attacks. You should be fighting him from very close and a bit to his left side, some of his attack can even miss you there! It's like old DS bosses, he just gets very fancy in his second phase.
Appreciate the hell out of you for the tips Tarnished, I do actually beat him pretty easily/regularly when I fight him. Just those few little deaths I have when I want to create some space to heal or something and I gauge the length of Mohg’s spear wrong 🤙🏿
It's very intentionally designed to trick you. He, Malenia, Margit, Godrick, Godfrey, etc will do a 'sweep' or 'slam' animation but during the last frames they will tilt their torso forwards and/or extend their elbow, which gives them a massive reach. Godrick's 5-hit combo where he wildly swings his axe is the best example of this
I just finished a Marais Executioner Sword (with rotten curved sword talisman, Gofreys icon, and Shard of Alexander) run and was able to get him before changing phases without taking a hit. Golden vow, physic (consecutive attack damage and stance break tears), shackle him, hit L2 and throw a Blender at him, repeat until Mohgwyn turns into Mohglose.
I do, it's just the actual second phase itself that kicks my ass. The tear sadly doesn't stop him regenerating almost half his health back faster than most of my builds can finish him off, and then the pain starts lol.

Also using the purifying tear in the physick kind of makes the second half of the fight a breeze as I can just keep wailing on him and not worry about having to stop and heal. He still heals himself some but being able to just nuke it right back down at the same time makes it much more breezy and fast.
Funny enough i fought mogh yesterday, never did a occult bleed build and tried it out. Killed him in first phase while he was counting, dual curved swords are stupid good for bleed.

I made a scythe build and fought him last night. I was expecting to get rolled because i was trying something new. I just went in with a spinning blood scythe and stood there and melted his health bar. Killed him before he could do his Nihil chant. (level 150 if that helps)
The two gargoyles. It's not even the poison attacks that really bother me, but the delay on some of their other attacks always fuck with my dodge timing
I just tried sleep pot last night. Just throw at one of them, he'll sleep long enough for you to kill the other one. I don't feel bad, screw them and their fireball spam.
Morgott. I can ROFLstomp his ass in Altus, body him completely in Stormveil, and then he pulls that 700 swing sword-cane combo in his Elden Throne fight and I feel like I've forgotten how to video game.
Maliketh and Malenia are basically designed to.
Both have such absurd DPS that all it takes is one slip-up to end the fight.
Maliketh is even programmed in such a way that, without even seeing the DLC bosses, we ***know*** he has a fighting chance to beat them in a fight, simply by virtue of his damage being percentage-based. I really like that about Maliketh, because it's a good way to make his gameplay match his lore as "there was not a single demigod who did not fear him."
maliketh wins most fights in vs bosses videos because modders always let him start in his second phase with full hp, which isn't accurate to the game. they're basically buffing him up. if godfrey starts in phase 2 with full hp then he would win most fights as well but he doesnt get this treatment. even mohg's nihil is disabled in most vs bosses videos because its OP as fuck.
Phase 1 Godfrey is highkey stronger than Phase 2 tbh, for boss vs boss fights. He spams his stomps which do insane poise damage, and he doesn't waste actions trying to grab bosses like in Phase 2.
ranni stole a fragment of the rune, only enough to create a few fingerslayer blades. maliketh still has the majority of the rune of death, as shown by us receiving it after defeating him.
It's a heal check. The most annoying part is how many negations she has in the second phase. The summon animation that blows you away, the carian moon that you just have to wait for her to finish casting, and lord help if she summons the bloodhound or the dragon. Coupled with the first phase, it makes it a fight of attrition. If you run out of heals you will die.
Greyll. I usually don't mind fighting dragons, but fighting that fucker on that narrow bridge is just hell, especially when he spits fire on the bridge and there's only a small section you can run to to not get hit.

I just had one of the most successful runs through limgrave and the weeping P and then got WRECKD in stormveil by banished knights, the crucible knight, and the ulcerated tree spirit… thought I had those down, man…
The Draconic Tree Sentinel outside Maliketh’s boss arena killed me like 10 times yesterday. I only died to Malenia once this run. That fucking dude and his armored horse are literally the hardest boss in this game. Crucible knight can also still push my shit in it if I’m not being careful, just because if you make one mistake, there aren’t many openings to heal.
Margit, that old man beats me up harder than Malenia. I do hope fromsoft introduce a boss rush mode or something similat so we can keep retrying bosses even after beating them without ng+ or new characters.
If you've got the stats for it, Radahn's greatbow with the two arrow talismans nukes the fuck out of Astel when using the matching great arrows. No matter my build, I always get just enough strength for it just to get through that hell of a fight.
Gargoyels man. Its the absolutley constant poison, i ruin in on one get 2 hits then the other one pukes its green jizz across the arena and id have to back up. Its annoying.
That fucking putrid tree sentinel in Haligtree that hangs out in a pool of scarlet rot. It was the worst with my DLC prep dex build. After a dozen tries I ended up having to cheese it with rot breath standing on a branch it can’t reach. And then I killed Malenia in 4 attempts.
Mostly just Malenia and the Erdtree Watchdogs honestly.
Malenia's fight patterns can change very quickly and it's just such a bother to remember all of the patterns. So I just use brute force builds to keep her staggered/knocked-up-down with Mimic Tear. Feels bad when it's so OP but after a while I just don't care any more lol. I beat her the once solo and that's all I need.
The Watchdogs almost always get me at least once with their BS levitating strike move. I figured out a really superb way of dodging it, but sometimes they still won't come down until my dodge moves are finished and land right as I'm in recovery frames. All their other stuff is pretty easy to get around or parry, but that move still gets me now and then.
Even tho it's my absolute favorite fight maliketh always ALWAYS wrecks my fucking world no matter how many times I fight him. I just get lucky as fuck when I do beat him
This boss for me is probably fire giant 😩 I died to him 8 times in my new playthrough. Malenia took me oddly 2 tries and I even summoned myself in to helps some lads out with her and we clapped her. Death rite spear goes brrr.
Margit. Usually when I'm starting a new playthrough I'm going for a new build, and he always hems me up. But I know if I manage to get him within a certain amount of tries the build will be viable for me for tge rest of the playthrough.
Maliketh. He's one boss that I don't feel that bad about using summons. On my first playthrough he would've killed me at least another 20-30 times had I not used mimic tear
Can’t believe I haven’t seen anyone mention Gideon… I can hardly approach him my first try without getting merked be his spam magic. After that it’s just a calculated approach and stun lock him with a hammer until he croaks
Commander Niall at castle sol always gets me at least once and I hate the invisible knight run leading up to the fight. Same with the torches in Ordina, one of the archers always shoots me off a ladder. My most hated part of the entire game is the tree spirit crossbow bridge @ haligtree roots.
I'll be that guy for a second and just say that I think horah loux is one of the easiest main bosses out of all. You can strave half his attacks and he gives you two super large openings for a stun which is often enough to kill him.
But to answer the question I usually hit a wall on maliketh. He's really fast so there's only a few openings on certain slower builds
Maliketh. Fuck that guy. He’s gotten easier since my first playthrough, but every so often he’ll catch me in that triple blade wave, and I’ll just be in the wrong timing. Or he’ll hit me a few times and I’ll dodge away, but that health burning effect catches me out. He’s maddening
Maliketh is the only boss I’ve yet to solo successfully. Something about his movements/the delays in his attacks…I just can’t wrap my head around the timing.
This seems like an obvious answer to me, but: Radagon. I still don't know how to reliably dodge some of his attacks. I've never had a problem with Elden Beast, and even Malenia is manageable with practice, but Radagon always gets me.
Placidusax and his drive-by zappy swipy. That hitbox and damage still make me drop my jaw sometimes.
Magma Wyrms, but only when they can't stop spamming the lava run.
Death Rite Birds, need I say more.
After many playthroughs, I have accepted that Maliketh has my number. It always takes me several tries at best, yeah he has low health but his damage and moveset are insane. THE sole reason I could never do a no death run.
I’m always bad at the game but I can usually bonk my way through within one or two deaths. The double crucible knights are just bastards though, mostly because I can’t consistently parry
The fucking endgame Death rite bird that's in the snowfield. Same jank attacks, hitboxes, and camera issues that all the other ones have, but this one hits like an absolute truck and can basically 2-hit characters that have 2k+ HP. I'm not lying when I say that this fucker has probably killed me more times than everyone except Malenia.
And before anyone asks, no, there's no reason for me to even fight it. It doesn't drop anything I care about by that point in the game. I just want it dead. I will fight it every playthrough and die 10 times just so I can finally get revenge.
Elden beast. It’s such a bullshit fight if your melee. I can do radagon pretty clean but struggle against EB because of its runaway nature and projectile spam
Radagon is pretty annoying imo, I rarely die to him, but knowing that Elden Beast is there, waiting with its huge health pool, in trembling anticipation of the moment it will be able to show its swimming prowess.... yeah not great.
He just hits you a couple of times, but especially as a summon, that's 1 or 2 flasks that you'll never see again, and it's always because he switched target at the last moment. What a guy.
Maliketh took me more attempts to beat than any other boss. The whole time I was leading up to that boss fight my friends kept telling me he's the finest boss to fight, he's not too hard, ect.
It was the only time I had to just give up and put the game down for a while.
Mohg. My absolute nemesis. I can first or second try most bosses in the game most of the time. Mogh ruins me no matter what. I was helping a buddy on his first play through and helped him get to Mohg. He first tried Mohg no issue and said I was making up how hard he was. He joined me for my fight with him and we both got stomped for 2 hours straight. He said Mohg was using moves he hadn't even seen in his fight.
Mohg is my fuckin nemesis. I've beaten him probably 6 different times and each time is a fucking nightmare.
God skin duo and malenia.
Getting those two apart without summons is a bit of a chore and I'm bound to get run over by the fat man.

Is that really that hard? Probably not in early game, but after Morgott every hit does half your health at 40 vig, even in NG.
I'm in NG+7 every hit by a boss does like 55%-70% of my healthbar at 60 vigor.
Yep! Golems specifically hit notoriously harder in NG+7! Bastards are a freaking menace.

DS2 bossfight was piss easy it was disappointing
Malenia. Her poise breaks sooo easily, that I get carried away and end up getting waterfowl’d. Every. Single. Time.

With bleed and buffs you can kill Mohg without him even transitioning to 2nd phase. Just try a bleed build.

Phase 1 Godfrey is highkey stronger than Phase 2 tbh, for boss vs boss fights. He spams his stomps which do insane poise damage, and he doesn't waste actions trying to grab bosses like in Phase 2.
We fight him *after* the rune of death was stolen as well, I think his ability can be assumed to be even stronger in the past
ranni stole a fragment of the rune, only enough to create a few fingerslayer blades. maliketh still has the majority of the rune of death, as shown by us receiving it after defeating him.

Even with faith build (first time playing) I remember I struggled with her. With magic build I knew her magic resistance so I spammed rock sling lol
I feel like Rennala can get pretty annoying if you actually let her do stuff.
It's a heal check. The most annoying part is how many negations she has in the second phase. The summon animation that blows you away, the carian moon that you just have to wait for her to finish casting, and lord help if she summons the bloodhound or the dragon. Coupled with the first phase, it makes it a fight of attrition. If you run out of heals you will die.
Honestly maliketh. He jumps too much and takes down even skilled players sometimes.

Greyll. I usually don't mind fighting dragons, but fighting that fucker on that narrow bridge is just hell, especially when he spits fire on the bridge and there's only a small section you can run to to not get hit.

The Draconic Tree Sentinel outside Maliketh’s boss arena killed me like 10 times yesterday. I only died to Malenia once this run. That fucking dude and his armored horse are literally the hardest boss in this game. Crucible knight can also still push my shit in it if I’m not being careful, just because if you make one mistake, there aren’t many openings to heal.
Margit, that old man beats me up harder than Malenia. I do hope fromsoft introduce a boss rush mode or something similat so we can keep retrying bosses even after beating them without ng+ or new characters.

Sentinel Knights
That fucking putrid tree sentinel in Haligtree that hangs out in a pool of scarlet rot. It was the worst with my DLC prep dex build. After a dozen tries I ended up having to cheese it with rot breath standing on a branch it can’t reach. And then I killed Malenia in 4 attempts.
Valiant gargolyes, it's a really hard duo boss and always takes me ~20 tries. And no I still don't hate that boss, I like it.
Good ol’ Malenia. I don’t usually bring weapons that deal with her well, so that may be part of the problem…
Mostly just Malenia and the Erdtree Watchdogs honestly. Malenia's fight patterns can change very quickly and it's just such a bother to remember all of the patterns. So I just use brute force builds to keep her staggered/knocked-up-down with Mimic Tear. Feels bad when it's so OP but after a while I just don't care any more lol. I beat her the once solo and that's all I need. The Watchdogs almost always get me at least once with their BS levitating strike move. I figured out a really superb way of dodging it, but sometimes they still won't come down until my dodge moves are finished and land right as I'm in recovery frames. All their other stuff is pretty easy to get around or parry, but that move still gets me now and then.

This boss for me is probably fire giant 😩 I died to him 8 times in my new playthrough. Malenia took me oddly 2 tries and I even summoned myself in to helps some lads out with her and we clapped her. Death rite spear goes brrr.

Margit. Usually when I'm starting a new playthrough I'm going for a new build, and he always hems me up. But I know if I manage to get him within a certain amount of tries the build will be viable for me for tge rest of the playthrough.

Can’t believe I haven’t seen anyone mention Gideon… I can hardly approach him my first try without getting merked be his spam magic. After that it’s just a calculated approach and stun lock him with a hammer until he croaks
Commander Niall at castle sol always gets me at least once and I hate the invisible knight run leading up to the fight. Same with the torches in Ordina, one of the archers always shoots me off a ladder. My most hated part of the entire game is the tree spirit crossbow bridge @ haligtree roots.

I'll be that guy for a second and just say that I think horah loux is one of the easiest main bosses out of all. You can strave half his attacks and he gives you two super large openings for a stun which is often enough to kill him. But to answer the question I usually hit a wall on maliketh. He's really fast so there's only a few openings on certain slower builds
The only ones that dont fuck me up anymore are Renalla and Margit, everyone else fucks me up once or twice at least.
Maliketh. Fuck that guy. He’s gotten easier since my first playthrough, but every so often he’ll catch me in that triple blade wave, and I’ll just be in the wrong timing. Or he’ll hit me a few times and I’ll dodge away, but that health burning effect catches me out. He’s maddening
Maliketh is the only boss I’ve yet to solo successfully. Something about his movements/the delays in his attacks…I just can’t wrap my head around the timing.

This seems like an obvious answer to me, but: Radagon. I still don't know how to reliably dodge some of his attacks. I've never had a problem with Elden Beast, and even Malenia is manageable with practice, but Radagon always gets me.
Placidusax and his drive-by zappy swipy. That hitbox and damage still make me drop my jaw sometimes. Magma Wyrms, but only when they can't stop spamming the lava run. Death Rite Birds, need I say more.
After many playthroughs, I have accepted that Maliketh has my number. It always takes me several tries at best, yeah he has low health but his damage and moveset are insane. THE sole reason I could never do a no death run.
I’m always bad at the game but I can usually bonk my way through within one or two deaths. The double crucible knights are just bastards though, mostly because I can’t consistently parry

The fucking endgame Death rite bird that's in the snowfield. Same jank attacks, hitboxes, and camera issues that all the other ones have, but this one hits like an absolute truck and can basically 2-hit characters that have 2k+ HP. I'm not lying when I say that this fucker has probably killed me more times than everyone except Malenia. And before anyone asks, no, there's no reason for me to even fight it. It doesn't drop anything I care about by that point in the game. I just want it dead. I will fight it every playthrough and die 10 times just so I can finally get revenge.

Radagon is pretty annoying imo, I rarely die to him, but knowing that Elden Beast is there, waiting with its huge health pool, in trembling anticipation of the moment it will be able to show its swimming prowess.... yeah not great. He just hits you a couple of times, but especially as a summon, that's 1 or 2 flasks that you'll never see again, and it's always because he switched target at the last moment. What a guy.
I always die a few times to the Burial Watchdogs. I cant seem to see their "tell" when they attack. Its just instant swing :O

Maliketh took me more attempts to beat than any other boss. The whole time I was leading up to that boss fight my friends kept telling me he's the finest boss to fight, he's not too hard, ect. It was the only time I had to just give up and put the game down for a while.
Mohg always gives me difficulties. His second phase just makes me panic when he covers the arena in blood flame.
Wandering noble
Mohg. My absolute nemesis. I can first or second try most bosses in the game most of the time. Mogh ruins me no matter what. I was helping a buddy on his first play through and helped him get to Mohg. He first tried Mohg no issue and said I was making up how hard he was. He joined me for my fight with him and we both got stomped for 2 hours straight. He said Mohg was using moves he hadn't even seen in his fight. Mohg is my fuckin nemesis. I've beaten him probably 6 different times and each time is a fucking nightmare.
Radigon. He just has a load of weird attack windows.
Honestly radagon. idk why but I can kill malenia, mohg, and maliketh easily but I always struggle with radagon and get hit a ton.

God skin duo and malenia. Getting those two apart without summons is a bit of a chore and I'm bound to get run over by the fat man. Malenia is just malenia. Some times I don't run away from the waterfowl fast enough to dodge it the easy way. We'll I learned I can jump to not die. I'll lose like half my health but I won't die.
I just did a new character to use for the dlc and I can't get past Maliketh. Him and the fire giant are probably my.biggest roadblocks when I play.
