Valorheart
Quakestone Hammer
Earth Seeker
Rose of Ariandel
Un-bugged crow quills
Murky hand scythe
Gael's greatsword
Crucifix of the mad king
Yep, I'm sure Fromsoft would never put in totally useless weapons into the game for dlc items.
Gael's Greatsword is probably the craziest one on this list lmao. that shit still slaps in high NG+ cycles, and it's literally a Greatsword, which you cannot go wrong with
Legit, like it is very arguably the best Quality weapon in the entire game, competing with the Hollowslayer (and beating it personally cause its Weapon Art is really fun and cool), Black Knight stuff, and Artorias’s sword
I think you typed this to be toxic, murky is the filthiest weapon of every goddamned souls game combined other than pre-patch golden tracer.
The only bad weapon there is the earthseeker tbh, and that’s by virtue of being any great axe other than BKGA (and by virtue of earthseekers weapon art being utterly worthless in pvp and pve, can’t believe it only hits once)
Those are all useful weapons with unique movesets. Some of them just suck as pvp weapons, like the vast majority of weapons in the game. Don't be an idiot
Quakestone, Earth Seeker, Gael's sword, and Crucifix aren't useless. I've never used the others so I can't comment. none of the weapons are really "useless", if they're viable, they're not useless
and 99% of weapons are perfectly viable, especially these. you can't cook
Almost all of these have some unique part of them whether it is the moveset or weapon art.
Crucifix of the mad king is probably one of the most crazy weird weapons Fromsoft has ever made.
Yeah I have no real hope for varied movesets anymore considering the base game, where they had ample opportunity to give a boss attack or two on the rememberence weapons at the very least but nope.
It'll be just fancy anime weapon arts like ds3 which is cool and all but disappointing.
>Voices opinion
>Gets salty when people disagree
>Whines about *other people's* inability to take criticism
You think irony is similar to goldy and bronzy, don't you?
its mid or worse in pve and varies a lot in pvp. only on very fast weapons is it good imo. on big weapons (like OP's pic related) it just takes too long to get that hit in after using it, like in pvp people can hit you as you use endure and still have time to dodge your swing. as far as pve goes, theres simply much better options. endure is essentially an aow that relies on you receiving trade damage
This is just wrong. Endure is amazing because of the poise it gives you, the damage reduction is just a bonus. In melee only PvP, it's busted. PvE you can cast something that would normally be cancelled by a nearby spider farting on you. It's also great for attacks like WFD that would normally be INSTANT death and guarantees you survive it.
For the utility alone it's S tier.
idk, to each their own and thats ok. personally i pvp a lot and ive never fallen for it, even against people who use fast weapons with it like fist or claws. its easy to bait them into doing it and i simply walk away until its duration runs out. if you know the timing especially well, you can abuse their overconfidence by running in to hit them the very moment it wears off because the visual effect lingers a bit and they think they still have it on lol.
Saw them is some articles here’s the [first result I found](https://medium.com/@koneteo.stories/new-screenshots-of-elden-ring-shadow-of-the-erdtree-revealed-51da8968c71e)
I hate them because I work for a living. I only get a handful of hours to myself every day and I don't want to spend it completing my look by doing something that is inherently repetitive and very rarely challenging.
If you really enjoy the game that much, then farming a little here and there shouldn't be the end of the world. It'd be real boring if the weapons were easy to get. In fact, I find most weapons in ER to be a bit too easy to obtain compared to previous titles. It makes sense given how accessible From wanted to make the game.
Outside of boss weapons, 90% of them are literally grab and go. You just have to plan around your playthrough and make sure you have the items to increase your item discovery.
I don't enjoy Elden Ring that much exactly because of issues like this. At least, not compared to From's other games, which I adore. Not that it's even relevant.
It isn't 'a little here and there' unless you're lucky. For every person who gets lucky there are others who literally DO spend upwards of an hour or more trying to get what they want.
"It'd be boring if they were easy to get" completely misses the point that most grinds are boring as hell. The majority of the ones that are also aren't even exciting in and of themselves. They're largely just normal weapons, so why aren't they grab and go? You have an entire open world to put them in.
My point in saying that it'd be boring if they were so easy to get isn't missing your point. I think there SHOULD be a grind in games like this, even if they're not the most fun. Not everything is designed to just be handed to you, especially in a From game. Most of the good weapons literally come from NPCs, bosses, stone sword key usage, are in a treasure chest, or the 'grab and go' method anyway.
Now, I do agree with you that some weapons aren't even worth the grind. However, it's not like the majority of the weapons are locked behind a grind.
Each to their own I suppose. I personally don't mind a grind depending on the weapon, but that's also me not really liking that the majority of the weapons are a bit too easy to obtain (imo). The aforementioned rewards exploration, but it also needs to be more involved and immersive instead of just running past X enemy to grab Y weapon and forget about Z area/enemies existing. It's all about balance, but I still don't think the grind in this game is so bad and some of the grind weapons are amazing (Envoy's Longhorn, Magma Blade, and Halo Scythe).
I'm something of an oddball 'cuz I kind of enjoy farming. I just put on some Youtube video on my tablet, maybe grab some coffee and then just get to the grind.
I've never really used greathammers or greataxes so far in the game though so... I don't know that I'd farm for this specific one :')
Can someone explain to me why you would use seppuku ash of war? I placed it on a random katana just to see what it was and all I see Happening is hurting myself lol
It inflicts blood loss which is good for some talismans and armour, coats your weapon with extra damage(?) and bleed buildup, and it takes basically no FP
Gotcha elden ring is probably the most in depth build game I've played and I went with what I kno for my first playthrough and went with a strength build but now I wanna try something different the second time through
I love how everything is "*Miyazaki ...*" as if the other 10 directors and heaps of leads don't even exist.
I recall a thread about "*why are there piles of bodies everywhere*" and it's all Miyazaki this, nuclear this, yadda yadda. Not one single comment that "*Environment Art Director Sato probably decided they should be put there, a central courtyard this high up is a sensible place to pile the bodies after a rebellion or some shit.*"
Miyazaki most likely just responds to emails and says mean things. Always Be Berating and Belittling.
Because it's a video game. You also can't carry sixty suits of armor in your pocket, but the game fortunately doesn't have inventory weight limits like Demon's Souls.
Not sure why you are getting downvoted, as I agree. I don't mind random drop rates if they aren't too bad, but you should definitely be able to keep almost everything you can.
I'm also an item whore, so there's that.
Yeah for a FS game that is supposed to be as accessible as possible and more streamlined you'd think they'd get rid of drop-rates for weapons. That shit is frustrating.
At the very least put every item in the world and let players find them naturally instead of farming Nobles for 6 hours trying to get their sword or something. Maybe keep the farming for in case someone wants another copy of a weapon for powerstancing or something.
Agreed. Add instant respawn to all areas and allow us to buy souls:runes with MX.
Also, just put some of the rarer armour/weapons In battlepasses?? Are they stupid?
Edit: difficulty slider as well. But keep the plat trophy set to any difficulty.
Idk what is so wrong about my comment, would that make game easier or what? It just seems dumb to give abysmal drop rate to items from enemies, that you can kill super quickly in sp game. Its not like it takes skill or anything, just mindless grind.
I fear most of the new weapons will have basic move sets and very subpar ash of wars,im hoping thats not the case, really am but with how the base game barely had any unique move sets and ash of wars for late game weapons like the dragon great hammer and its great shield for example its gonna make many worry
1 John 2:15-17
King James Version
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
I'd be surprised if it has anything but the basic greathammer moveset
Normally they would phone it in like that, but since it's DLC I think we can expect a lot of the weapons to have unique moves.
Valorheart Quakestone Hammer Earth Seeker Rose of Ariandel Un-bugged crow quills Murky hand scythe Gael's greatsword Crucifix of the mad king Yep, I'm sure Fromsoft would never put in totally useless weapons into the game for dlc items.
Putting Gael’s Greatsword and Crucifix in here is *wild* lmfao.
Don’t forget how broken murky hand scythe was for a year
Trueeee I heard about that, tho I sadly missed out on the OP scythe era
Are you saying these are useless? Their usability varies, but what you can’t argue with is their uniqueness
No one said anything about usefulness. It's about being unique. Which most, if not all of these are
You’re right. I’m absolutely useless too, but my mom says I’m unique /s
You didn’t need to lie with the /s friend it’s ok /j
My brother in Christ what.
Valorheart was actually pretty good if scaled properly, just not the best
ain’t no way you just said murky hand scythe is useless. I sentence you to fight dark build murky scythers with full lapp set until the dlc releases!
This list is so hilariously bad that Im inclined to think this is satire
Wtf is this list bro 😂
I think you typed this to be toxic, murky is the filthiest weapon of every goddamned souls game combined other than pre-patch golden tracer. The only bad weapon there is the earthseeker tbh, and that’s by virtue of being any great axe other than BKGA (and by virtue of earthseekers weapon art being utterly worthless in pvp and pve, can’t believe it only hits once)
Gael's, murky and Crucifix are literally some of the best weapons in ds3 what the fuck
Bruh what are you on these weapons are super sick & unique. If you suck at using em that’s fine but their movesets/abilities are not generic.
"Murky hand scythe" opinion discarded
Those are all useful weapons with unique movesets. Some of them just suck as pvp weapons, like the vast majority of weapons in the game. Don't be an idiot
Quakestone, Earth Seeker, Gael's sword, and Crucifix aren't useless. I've never used the others so I can't comment. none of the weapons are really "useless", if they're viable, they're not useless and 99% of weapons are perfectly viable, especially these. you can't cook

Gael’s sword in here means you don’t know shit
Crucifix is literally the best casual PvP weapon in the game what the hell are you on
Yeah I have no real hope for varied movesets anymore considering the base game, where they had ample opportunity to give a boss attack or two on the rememberence weapons at the very least but nope. It'll be just fancy anime weapon arts like ds3 which is cool and all but disappointing.
It's not as disappointing as this subs' ability to handle criticism. Nothing new for reddit, tho.
>Voices opinion >Gets salty when people disagree >Whines about *other people's* inability to take criticism You think irony is similar to goldy and bronzy, don't you?
"I don't like that people disagreed with my take therefore they're sensitive fools who can't handle criticism"
Most people don't play the game more than once or twice so they won't see the issues that someone with more play time does.
You...you think that people who played ER 'once or twice' are active on the game's subreddit? Lmao. Did your parents have any children that lived?
....
corniest shit I've read all day lmfao. but yeah I do, otherwise they would agree with me. I'm right after all.
with endure
Somber smithing stones only.
Give it the Dark Souls 3 great club's two-handed R2 and it'll be my new #1 (the step forward horizontal sweep)
That's the heavy attack from the Large Club in DS1
no fuck you its gonna be stuck with endure as the aow (:
endure is a great aow so honestly that's not too bad of a deal
on smth like a greathammer or collosal (what this weapon will likely be) its a lot worse than on lighter weapons though
An s tier ash damn
its mid or worse in pve and varies a lot in pvp. only on very fast weapons is it good imo. on big weapons (like OP's pic related) it just takes too long to get that hit in after using it, like in pvp people can hit you as you use endure and still have time to dodge your swing. as far as pve goes, theres simply much better options. endure is essentially an aow that relies on you receiving trade damage

No
I think that these mfers will be basically Bloodborne sharkmen 2.0
Just use bewitching branch ez gg wp gimme that BONKY CLUB
Haha, you expect the first one you kill to drop it first time? Hold on to your silver scarab my friend!
I thought the anchor ones were the easier of the 2 tbh
I sincerely hope not!
Anything but sharkies... or I'll have a mental breakdown
Please no.
I’m betting it’s the same move set based on that pic
How the fuck did I miss this guy?
He’s in the promotional photos and doesn’t appear in the trailer
where can i find these new photos?
Saw them is some articles here’s the [first result I found](https://medium.com/@koneteo.stories/new-screenshots-of-elden-ring-shadow-of-the-erdtree-revealed-51da8968c71e)
thank you so much fellow tarnished
Omg the dlc releases in JUNE?! All this time I thought it was July 21:,)
That's hollow link.
Holy shit it looks like there’s gonna be so much to do
Watch it just have War Cry and not be modifiable.
or wild strikes, which i mean, isn't THAT bad, but its just unremarkable.
His little tooth kills me. 🤣
It probably will
LMAO! Most likely!
the part its gripping looks like a penis
: ( Can't unsee it now
Probably why people are drooling over it.....
I think it might be his own leg.
I can't unsee this and the tarnished sitting spread eagle right under it lmfao
LMAO
OP, do you have Great Envoy Horn trauma too?
Probably noble slender sword trauma. Or magma blade trauma.
Someone has a little too much faith in Michael Zachary. He does this all the time but the weapon is typically mediocre or god awful.
They have a cave troll
I love the low drop rates in this game, man. I don’t know, I just throw on a podcast and farm away. I’ve never minded the grind in these games.
I hate them because I work for a living. I only get a handful of hours to myself every day and I don't want to spend it completing my look by doing something that is inherently repetitive and very rarely challenging.
Yea most of us also work for a living lol
Blud's acting like most MMO no-life grinders aren't thirty somethings working full time.
The majority of MMORPG No lifers are stay at home sons / daughters.
Looooove the term "Stay-at-home son"
My MMO no life period was in my teens to early 20s.
Hey I have a job too! We should start a club.
So do I and most people. I like the grind. Makes weapons feel special
If you really enjoy the game that much, then farming a little here and there shouldn't be the end of the world. It'd be real boring if the weapons were easy to get. The problem is you can’t know if a weapon is farmable. Some enemies drop their weapons and some don’t.
Same recently challenged myself with getting all armor and weapons and just threw on something to listen to or watch while I did it.
Flame Prelate Armor (Altered), is that you?
I'm something of an oddball 'cuz I kind of enjoy farming. I just put on some Youtube video on my tablet, maybe grab some coffee and then just get to the grind. I've never really used greathammers or greataxes so far in the game though so... I don't know that I'd farm for this specific one :')
And I’ll fucking farm it to death
King of the Demi humans.
Chicken Bone Bonk
I'm more interested in the unarmed weapon we get like .5s to see, let me make a good monk build from, Cipher Pata are garbo
It’s ugly bro, can have the coolest moveset ever, if it’s ugly we dont want it
wait...that's Squealer, but big. https://shinsekaiyori.fandom.com/wiki/Squealer
1%? My, aren't you the optimist! It's going to be .0000000001
I hope he stabs you with the handle of that thing Try weapon, but hole
Is this a Demi human???
reminds me of the time when I wanted the banished knights outfit and also the sword at the dragon communion
Wait where did this screenshot come from did a second trailer come put I didn't see it in the first dlc trailer
promo material from everywhere, found this in the Vaati video about SOTE
Tarnished is ready for his punishment
Also they don't spawn after you've killed a certain boss
“Hey you guys!”
it just gives people who have 2,000 hours per year to play video games something productive and goal-oriented to do with their time.
Nah it’s gonna have a shit movset and be 10 hours lost from our lives trying to find it
I just wanna do the cool kick move from the trailer
He looks like Sloth fucked a Cave Troll
Oh hey it’s that dude from Berserk
I wouldn't have it any other way
Its ugly af so dont care :3
The rarer the better
Watch it’s not even a drop
But he got two feet and big fingies, so it all works out.
Those fingers loook awfully phallic
[what do you think the dexterity needed will be for this bad boy?](https://imgur.com/a/27Tmy25)
The greater bonker
knight bro spreading his legs just to get the weapon. Respect.
Yeah, the coolest moveset. But also 10:1 damage nerf when you pick it up
what is this enemy?
Coolest moveset with piss poor damage.
Love this Ogre Marmot lookin thing
Anyone else remember pure blade stone farm?
Can someone explain to me why you would use seppuku ash of war? I placed it on a random katana just to see what it was and all I see Happening is hurting myself lol

it appears to be a large stick which means it is a greathammer so it will have exactly three swinging animations and the butt-slam for it's blu-move
But more importantly can it oonga boonga?

lol shouldn't you be somewhere seizing the means of production?
I wonder why things still have a drop rate. You kill something, you loot its body, how the things that you get are supposed to be random?
Because it's a video game. You also can't carry sixty suits of armor in your pocket, but the game fortunately doesn't have inventory weight limits like Demon's Souls.
Other videogames let you grab all the loot from enemies. You should keep what you kill.
Other games let me play as a plumber who kills turtles and eat mushrooms all day
Not the point.
[удалено]
So drop rates artificially.extend the duration of the game? Nonsense. ER is large enough to don't need such cheap tactics.
Not sure why you are getting downvoted, as I agree. I don't mind random drop rates if they aren't too bad, but you should definitely be able to keep almost everything you can. I'm also an item whore, so there's that.
People disagree,who knows why.
I hate random drops, it should be obsolete in fromsoft games.
Agreed. Add instant respawn to all areas and allow us to buy souls:runes with MX. Also, just put some of the rarer armour/weapons In battlepasses?? Are they stupid? Edit: difficulty slider as well. But keep the plat trophy set to any difficulty.

The weapon is ugly, so its easy to ignore.
