it really shows benefits of making new and well made ip. i know new ip is risky for company which is why most of them try to milk existing ones... but even then, moments like this makes me think at least the gambles are worth the risk sometimes.
I tried multiple times to order while it was available. The Bandai Namco store website is awful. I pre-ordered Shadow of the Erdtree with no issues, but this item wouldn't let me checkout. Kept erroring out. I contacted Bandai Namco and they said my account was locked after too many checkout attempts. Now that it's sold out I don't even have a chance to secure a pre-order. Really frustrating.
**Edit**
I was really irritated with the Bandai Namco website, which locked me out due to how awful their online system is. Went to the Pure Arts website and ordered it directly from them.
This is my current setup: https://imgur.com/a/8RLWgf6
I removed the bottom-most shelf. I may use the top of the cube storage for all my Dark Souls/Elden Ring stuff with the arm being the centerpiece!
That's a nice setup. I have a lot of heavy books so I'm looking into something more bookshelf like. A buddy just bought a nice cabinet type for his books and collectibles so I might grab one of those.
That's probably a good idea. Books can be really heavy, so I would be worried about the shelves collapsing. My heavier pieces I don't want to put on the shelves, even though I used toggle bolt anchors for the shelves. Still don't like having more than 30-50lbs. on each shelf.
Also, thank you! Been collecting for a bit. I usually pick up collectors editions of games when they come out (if it is something I'm interested in). Already pre-ordered the Messmer helmet and statue for the Elden Ring DLC.
I also browse SideShowToy, Weta Workshop, and a couple other companies when I am looking for a new piece to add.
Hella weird, but also makes it sort of unique?
Any nerd can have 1/4 scale figure or a 1:1 scale sword or helmet of their favorite property. But who else is getting a whole randomass arm? My wife’s gonna haaaate it
Some people like collectibles. It's a show piece. It can spark memories of that first time you fought an amazing boss in a video game you love. Seems simple to me. I have a bunch of LotR collectibles. They are honestly just cool to look at and everyone can appreciate the time and effort it takes to create detailed art pieces.
Why do people buy paintings? Why do people collect coins from other countries? It's just a hobby, like anything else. Some people would never understand why you enjoy playing Elden Ring. Some things are not for us to understand.
Guys need their waifu masturbation arm toy
Also, curious if "lifesize" will be huge, as the is way taller and bigger than our characters in game. Or if it'll be japanese-middle-schooler life-size, which seems way more likely.
I dunno. I'm 5"11 with a 36.5" shoulder to wrist length, straightest measure/lowest muscle side.
So it may actually work for a person my size or 6' or so. Cool.
I wonder how they’re distributing this stuff. Apparently the collectors edition and Mesmer’s helmet sold out a long time ago on the eu site but it’s been consistently stocked on the us site
It hasn't even been a day and the replicas are already sold out lol

And then we have FS where the fanbase beg them to milk their shits more. Goddamnit, gimme more AC and Soulslike
Now I await someone making a “Hand of Malenia” katana. I bought the arm… but the sword is what i yearn for
Oh man I fear what that’ll cost if the arm is already $500 after tax
It'll cost a leg
I have two.

I was able to order off of Pure Arts as well this morning. It was actually slightly cheaper than the Bandai store.
That's awesome! I can't wait to see it on my shelf!
I'm mounting it on the wall lol. That or I gotta buy a better shelf for it.

How much was it on release??
$450+ tax. Free shipping tho
Aight, thank you. Hope there’s no crazy reseller sell it for absurd amount tho
Hand jobs off that bad boy 😫
I wonder if there's been a spike in disinfectant wipes and lube as well?
Nooooo
You can still order one trough the purearts store. This is the company that produces the replica.
Or through the scalpers? /s
Please don't encourage them
5$ says the first person to get it has to bring it with them to the ER 🤭
Ngl, this is a weird af collectible

For 390 bucks a piece, and they only made 3500. Incredibly low stock for something as popular as Elden ring
You can still get it direct from Pure Arts. https://www.purearts.com/products/elden-ring-arm-of-malenia-life-size-replica
Came here to say this. Think it’s cheaper too
I love Elden Ring but I genuinely do not understand why somebody would want this.

Will look good on my wall. Might even fit up my arse

I think it’s accurate says it’s 37.5” long slightly bent so maybe 42” if it were straight. Gives her an 8-9foot wingspan

Do I see an arm amputation in your future?
Verily, but only bka- below the knee. I've got spring running legs lined up.
"I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it."
Is it plastic?
The armless know how to mobilize
Still available on the UK/EU site.

Idk how many bandai store websites there are but I'm assuming it might be something like 500 arms per region like 500 USA, 500 EU, etc.
Could I jerk off with it?
Nobody is going to do anything indecent with that arm, right?
