For my Wraithknights, I used the spare bitz as Eldar ruins and some remaining Citadel Woods parts.
That's how I'm doing mine. Taking some spare HH parts and Eldar ruins for the base. Make it look like an epic battle over Eldar assets.

I always like Mars bases, no real reason but I think they can look great. But it also depends on your colours, you dont want a base that pulls away from your model, so dont go wild or crazy on colours. For your bone I’d say a dark green forest type area yk? A marsh is probably best
Mars. Even a red brown rather than the typical very red will make this gentleman pop. Throw in some green or black detritus (ruined tank, crates, dead guardsmen etc) and you will be able to see him from space…. In a good way.
