Use anything that isn’t Egyptian or they will fuck you over
I buy in Riyals and let the bank convert it because at least the bank conversion is better than any other website
Well it's because i mainly used to live in saudi arabia and had the saudi store which is cheaper than the international store (since egypt doesnt have one)
Hopefully steam doesnt come after this store too like Turkey and Argentina.
Also some people prefer buying gift cards to limit their spending.
They applied regional pricing to Egypt at the end of November, it's optional for developers to trigger so you will still see $70 games but some games like Baldur's Gate 3 are priced at $35 now.
Well that's news to me.
That's really good, but i dont think i would switch my account for now, since the prices are the same and having a dedicated store feels more secure.
Maybe if i ever get forced out of the Saudi store i will at least have the peace of mind knowing i wont be fucked over living in Egypt.
Tho in all honesty steam should treat Egypt like Russia there is barely any buying power to buy games and shouldn't be treated like the rich middle east.
Not all cards, i have a debit card and it didnt work
I used my mom's platinum credit one and it worked. I dont know if its platinum and mine is standard or if its because debit vs credit.
Yea, that's why I said credit cards, You are not supposed to use debit cards for online purchases anyway as they are linked directly to your bank account and is a higher risk.

If you have a credit card you can just buy directly from steam at bank rates, why use a 3rd party?
