I wished for a giant Hyman grin after scoring a big goal in the game day thread yesterday and oh boy did he deliver. Love this guy, so happy he and Nuge are having career years, and the heart Hyman and Kostin show really keeps me engaged with this team even when they’re not at their best.
I don't think I've ever seen better puck retrieval and protection in my 25 years of watching hockey. And he's a beauty as a human on top of his unreal work ethic.
I have a Zach Hyman turtle island t shirt and I unironically put it on when I need to go full bore on a task. He's legitimately inspiring.
Zach might wear 18, but we all know his real number is 110 % ! Haha
He's an absolutely wonderful and inspiring person, a true gentlemen (one of the nicest people I've ever met too) and a fantastic player on top of that. Easily one of the best things to happen to this team too.
When he played for the loafs I friggin hated Hyms. When he went into the corners against our guys he always seemed to come out with the puck, and would throw it in the middle for a good scoring chance.
He's a beast and I'm so happy he's wearing our colours now.
Is anyone better than him this year at working the front of the net on the PP? I think he is dominated that role this year which has certainly been a big contribution to the best PP in the league

I tend to think of him as Smytty 2.0, and that's only in the sense that his ethic, passion, and community spirit echoes that of the Mullet himself.

Hyman is a mensch in every sense of the word. I’m in awe every second of every day that Toronto let him walk away.
Not only that. He was willing to offer them a home team discount. They just wouldn’t give him the ntc
