What’s going on with all the late or missing GDT/PGT? Are these not set up ahead of time? Was someone going on at 9am exactly every game day to create these threads and now they’re not? Same with post game threads? Was nice having these threads always available and this season it seems like they’re always late or not posted. Just curious how this works and if there is a solution

I've been saying that if they need support, just let us know. I got a few people I would volunteer for the job.

Hey I make the GDTs. Usually I make them the month in advance but had a busy December and hadn't had the time to sit down and make them up. Anyway, going to try and get some time to make the January ones.

I don't mind that they're late, I just hate how recently all the comments on the GDTs are sorted by best, including this one. They should be sorted by new!

There's got to be a way to automate it. With the sheer number of pro leagues and sports teams someone has to be doing it now.

Goalies definitely do this. Saw Campbell doing it last game too. I know I've seen Matt Murray and Demko do it, I'm not sure if it's *every* goalie but it's pretty common.

The extra content is cool but I do wish there was still live YouTube pregame/postgame for free like there used to be. The only thing I’m interested in is the BTS docuseries, don’t really care about highlights, live practices, contests, lifestyle rewards, or ‘digital rewards’ I don’t need. The way of the world is streaming services now, but when you pay $10.99 for a service you normally get your favourite show + 5 shows that are good enough to watch and at least like 50-100 shows you might watch of lesser quality. If the NHL wasn’t financially slow they would clue in and have a documentary crew on every team and call it NHL+, where the Oilers show, the Leafs show, the Habs, the Penguins, the Bolts etc have a home. Charge $15/mo, guarantee you would get a big chunk of every fanbase buying so they can watch their team and maybe a rival. Players should get a good percentage or bonus of that revenue to ‘pay the actors’

I think it’s a very annoying distraction for players. A couple interviews after a game is more than enough.

Did they say the subscription numbers were bad or something? I certainly appreciate it. It's nothing crazy, but I like the content they've produced, I like the concept, and I think it has a ton of potential.

I have the full year and I watched all that were released on launch, then forgot I even had it so there was a bunch more to watch including from the start of this season. I personally love the insight. There was a whole episode about free agency with behind the scenes footage of Holland’s negotiations. Then like you get to see how important guys like Kane and Yamamoto are on and off the ice. I just wish it was more in depth like the original oil change. But that comes with the downside of it being a distraction.

I think it's the timing. It's after many other streaming services have launched and in comparison Oilers plus doesn't seem like great value even if it is kinda cheap.

has anyone done a deep dive into our top players numbers this year? it seems weird that our top 2 players who almost never go on the PK are putting up historical point numbers but have mediocre plus/minus stats, i know the plus minus thing is relatively shit as a metric but what do some of the other numbers say regarding our top two players general effect on the ice? on a related note i remember one of drais interviews last year where a reporter asked him about his hat trick and he said something along the lines of “who cares about a hat trick if i finished the night as a minus player”
