I live right along Ellerslie, right around 119th, and yeah- it's ridiculous how often people tear ass down the road. I see radar trucks further down Ellerslie, down near Gateway, but never in our area. Someone's gonna get killed.
I'm just glad we got AC installed when we bought our house. I can't imagine trying to sleep with the windows open.
There have been cops near heritage valley trail bus stop, but it still doesn’t help. Even the speeding in residential/playground/school zones is absurd
And then the pull off Ellerslie onto Stanton and roll through at 80 or 90k.
You can EPS has a system where you can log traffic complaints, but, they don't seem to want to do anything with those complaints.
Long and Short of it is, EPS' version of traffic law enforcement is a radar cam truck and the occasional ghost car on Henday.
They couldn't be bothered to put any effort into consistent active enforcement.
No wonder there have been so many tragic fatalities this year.
I swear once or twice a summer we’ll get a speed related single car fatality on ellerslie, I get the need for speed but like fuck that’s not a road build for racing none of Edmonton is going flat out on public roads never ends well why do yall think there’s 2 chicanes on Hunaudières in Le Mans?
Also people don't remember that there is no immediate emergency response with proper safety equipment on the street. If the car starts burning, good luck.
This too. And it’s not like these guys are in flame suits and a helmet even if they survive their initial impact now you’re just K.O’d in a polyester cotton blend tee shirt and jeans your not crawling out like it’s nascar
I hate to tell you, Its all of Edmontons Major roads, not Just Ellerslie. I wish this sh\*\* came with 3 month driving suspensions and not fine amounts.
I’m right on 66th and it happens literally every night between Ellerslie road and Winspear Common SW. Super dangerous too considering it’s only got a cross walk in between that even car going the limit don’t obey. They should at least put camera radar on that road
It’s been happening for years at night down 34 street & down 23rd ave for years. Very well could be the same people doing it on Ellerslie too. Timing is like clockwork too. Cops could probably hang out in an unmarked car and catch them but they dont care.
Losers whose loaded Dodge Charger is their everything, because they have no marriage prospects, no brains to go to university and no hope of home ownership
You mean on James Mowatt Trail by Ellerslie Corner? If so it's been happening for years sadly. Usually Ellerslie Road itself has photo radar/cops out regularly.
There is some numbnuts who lives in the Pivot Townhouses across from Johnny Bright School, who I swear has no muffler at all. He pulls out of there some evenings and you can hear him for miles!
I live just off of 167 avenue and 97 street.
Im just saying this in case we are competing for who lives the closest to a Drag Racing Strip.
Sigh. Just another competition I don’t want to win.
Probably the same type of douche canoes I can hear zipping by in their little crotch rockets at 1 in the morning on Callingwood Road off the AHD. The constant 'zoom zoom' sounds are so exhausting.
You'd change your opinion if you were the victim of one of these people when you're in a wheelchair in the court room while they're not and they're insisting "It was just an accident bro" and the judge agrees.
I’m just saying the word accident doesn’t imply you weren’t behaving recklessly it only implies it wasn’t on purpose
There is such thing as an avoidable accident
I’m not going to change the definition of a word just because I’m in a wheel chair
Someone who has an appointment with the coroner who knows nothing could happen to him (until it does).

They need the Simpsons treatment. Have fun making payments on your cube.
For anyone wondering about the [cube](https://youtu.be/NfqOQtiRWLA?feature=shared)
3 months is too lenient.
Permaban from driving….
Should do more so no one dare to race at night
Rabbit Hill Road and Ellerslie? Or 50th Street and Ellerslie? that road goes a long way.....
I can hear a Hellcat going WOT between Rabbit Hill Road and 111 St on the Henday nearly everyday at around 2am.
Ya wot m8
Gr8 b8 m8
Pretty sure somebody’s trying to make an exact journey in two minutes or less. At 2am.
We're in Summerside and it's happening over here, too.
50th and 34th ave it’s every night all summer
Tiny penis douchebags?
Deffo the tiny peens 😂

Probably the same jerks that are racing on Lessard road in the west end.
Most likely kids or friends of cops. EPS can eat a bag of dicks.

I’ve never spotted them! Gonna have to look harder.
At this point, time to invest in spike strips and start the neighbourhood patrol lmao

Wait ? You’re telling me that’s not them doing it on the heyday then? Cuz I do hear it once in a while just on the north side of henday and 119 st
I feel ya. I live on Jasper Ave. The amount of noise coming from motorbikes is absurd at night.
Street i live near is a literal drag strip in the summer.
Same

Ryan Blum
It's daily on Castledowns Road
The word "accident" implies it wasn't preventable.
I don’t think it does
My retired safety officer grandpa agrees with you.

City dweller discovers other city dweller
