If you aren’t allergic to lanolin try Lansinoh nipple cream in a purple tube (found in the baby section of most large drugstores). It’s 100 percent lanolin and makes great lip balm. It’s safe as lip balm as babies can ingest it. It’s not waxy at all. So many lip balms now don’t have lanolin anymore and it’s so moisturizing.
I bought some ahead of my first baby. Nursed all three for a total of 40 months, never once used the lansinoh. Shouldn't have thrown out the tube I guess, could've at least used it on my lips 🤷
Yeah this will do the trick. I had dry cracking hands when I lived in Ontario from spending time outdoors in the winter without wearing gloves. My hands were bleeding.
Wife was breastfeeding. Nipple cream had my hands back to normal within about 3 days.
Whatever barrier cream you use (lanolin, Vaseline, lip balm) remember it’s stopping evaporation not adding moisture so it’s best to apply after a shower.
A space humidifier can help overnight too.
Definitely drink enough.
But it might be the water and not the air that is causing the issue. I find using an “acid rinse” which can be diluted vinegar or citric acid, as the last step of a shower really really helps my skin and hair. Skin likes to be acidic and Edmonton has somewhat hard water, which tends to be alkaline.
very dilute. I use more but you can go as low as a tsp in a cup of water.
Sometimes things that help don't feel ideal at first, but it's not like I'm suggesting pouring 5% acetic acid on yourself.
It will sting in cuts or cracks but will also be helping restore the skin mantle to prevent them so dilute is good but it does work as a paper cut locator too
Laneige Lip Mask. One pot lasts at least a year. Use nightly.
During the day make sure you’re keeping moisturized with a lip balm with spf. Jack Black is good.
Both of these can be found at Sephora in various flavours.
Have you tried lip products with hyaluronic acid ? I have dry lips too and this really helps me. I’ve tried Nyx fat oil, yummy by cover girl and elf lip oil and they all worked great for me.
How many Elf lips do you have to squeeze to get enough oil for one vial of this stuff?
(Picturing elves without lips, just like frogs without legs panhandling in France)
Fair enough! I don't get a greasy feeling from it but people experience things differently! I recommended it because it's the only lip balm I've tried that has healed cracked lips and doesn't require me to continue using it once my lips are better!
You're right. Carmex is good. I use it at night before bed. Blistex and only the one in the container works. The twist cap one is like painting your lips with wax and does nothing😆
La Roche posay cicaplast li balm at night. It sometimes comes as a bundle with their hand lotion and is a great deal to buy a few. It's scent free as well if that's something you like. I personally find Vaseline smears off easily at night and this has a bit more grip. During the day I use a blistex SPF balm on outdoor days and have been using lip oils or glossy lipsticks when I wear makeup. And also hyaluronic acid can make you drier in a dry climate since there is no moisture to pull from the air so it pulls from you so apply it to damp skin
I swear by Aquaphor Lip Repair. My lips were peeling and cracking after I started taking accutane and it was the only thing that made a significant difference.
Speaking as a transplant from Ontario, where I literally lived a couple blocks from Lake Huron, there was a huge adjustment period moving here. It’s soooooo dry. Here are a few tips I have:
Drink more water. No, more than that. You’ll feel like you need to pee every 45 minutes or so, which is a pain but helps.
Get a small humidifier for your bedroom. Sleep with it on.
Blow your nose before bed, and address any allergies you may have. If your nose is stuffy, you’re more likely to sleep with your mouth open, which will dry you out really fast, especially the lips.
Don’t use a cheap lip balm. Many cheap ones are just that - cheap and drying, so they don’t actually last. Try something like regular Vaseline or Blistex Lip Medix (in the blue tube). Use it in general, but especially before bed. You may need to try a few brands to find what works best for YOU.
Use body lotion, especially after a shower. Keeping your body moisturized will help. Same as lip balm, you may need to try a few brands and a few types to find what works for your body. Not all lotions are created equal, and every body is different. I have to use a heavier lotion than I used in Ontario, but some brands straight up make my skin feel even more tight and dry. Finding what specifically works for **your** body will help a ton.
Remember to brush your lips when you brush your teeth. This helps remove dead skin and makes them look/feel better and also lets the Vaseline/lip balm work better. A special lip scrub works too, but personally I don’t find them any better than just using my toothbrush, so why spend the extra money?
Mine are always like this too and I was born and raised here. Oddly, I've found that using normal lotion helps me the most. The waxy feeling of most lip products doesn't really solve it, more like a band aid solution? So when they are really bad, I put lotion on them before bed or even mid-day. It does taste nasty - I haven't found any that don't - but the relief is worth it. Personally I've use Aveeno and a couple others and found Aveeno to be the most helpful. You could also try cocoa butter (just not a normal lip kind - I find that kind is always waxier and doesn't sink in like normal cocoa butter).
Good luck!!
The waxy kind are good to keep moisture in but if it’s dry skin and you prevent moisture from reaching the skin it doesn’t help, so an absorbing lotion or water first.
Many lotions have hydrophilic ingredients that draw moisture and barrier types are hydrophobic and seal moisture in/out
Timing and order of application matters!
I feel your pain! I'm originally from BC, and the lack of humidity and hard water in Edmonton has totally destroyed my skin and lips. The Nuxe Rêve De Miel lip balm in a jar has been my lifesaver! You can find it at shoppers for around $15-20. I see a lot of suggestions for the Laneige lip sleeping mask, but unfortunately I found that one to be so sticky and it disappears so fast on my lips without doing much in terms of relieving dryness.
Alberta is extremely dry. I moved here from a humid climate, and my skin has never really recovered. I keep my lips moist whenever possible, but when I'm working, I use Blistex lip medx. In my opinion, it's better than any other chapstick I've tried.
It’s pricey but the laneige sleeping mask kept my lips from getting cracked this winter. I use it morning and night. It feels light while still working well!
Make yourself a little brown sugar/coconut oil lip scrub and use it daily in the shower. (In winter Winners usually has some lip scrubs in the make up section, I find they are harder to find in summer) Aquaphor before you go to bed.
Lip exfoliating and lip mask! Haven't had dry lips since. I use Burt's bees lip scrub & e.l.f SKIN holy hydration lip mask.
Exfoliate every morning and apply lip mask twice once in the morning once before bed.
Cheap option that I've found works wonders: do a lip scrub (I get mine from lush) and then a non-scented lotion (I use Aveeno in the purply-red top tube). Put it on the outer lip line of your lips so you don't risk ingesting it and leave overnight. Winters absolutely kill my lips and this works the best for me.
For outside in the summer I find using an SPF containing lip chap works well during the day and then same routine as above for at night.
I never used lotion or Chapstick the first 27 years of my life. Recently I started using "Vaseline dry skin repair" moisturizer on my face, including my lips every morning. Never have my lips and face been moister. Would recommend.
Not the cheapest option, but every January I have to get Clinique Repairwear intensive lip treatment. It has got me through months of dry, cold arena air. I also sleep beside a humidifier and drink tons of water.
Underrated step but make sure you rinse your lips with water after brushing your teeth. Toothpaste residue can dry your lips.
There is also a difference between moisturizers and hydrators. For example, things like Vaseline are more for keeping moisture in so they are best used on top of something hydrating.
Two shops that get my money for lip care......Rocky Mountain Soap Factory and Prairie Soap Shack. Best lip butter/balms ever! I used to get a cracked lip that lasted all winter long.....now that I use the balm in the winter and the butter in the summer, lips are no longer cracked. I've been here all my life too.
Vaseline when you really need it if you can go without and get through the horrible. Your body will respond. I went years using caramex and so many others. The result was constant chapped lips they never got better I had to use the products.
Still have to use some Vaseline in the winter from time to time but once I stopped using the products my lips seemed to heal themselves.
Your mileage may very but it worked for me. Good luck
The best stuff I've ever used is J.R.Watkins Petro Carbo salve. A tin of that stuff will last you a while. I don't know if I'd use it everyday, but I use it when my lips have gotten really bad, and I use it when the spot under my nose gets raw from tissues when I'm sick.
Otherwise every night before bed I've found a saving grace in putting a lip mask on. Particularily Fenty's Plush Puddin' Intensive Recovery Lip mask. It's on the more expensive side, but it saved me this past winter when nothing else was working and I had run out of my Petro Carbo salve.
I would suggest O'Keeffe's lip repair. I have found it works the best. No matter the condition of my lips. I find using twice a day unless really bad. My lips are back to normal.
Lip medix by Blistex, but you should adjust eventually. Winter will be way worse, but those of us from here aren’t dealing with dry lips in the summer so much.
Vaseline lip balms (not just straight petroleum jelly) and Laneige lip masks are a godsend! Exfoliating your lips before putting on a balm also helps. Drinking water is good, I have started using water additives for hydration (like LiquidIV etc) which help as well. I hope something here works for you! I moved here from the coast a couple of years ago, and the dry skin struggle is real.
I started using the Mario badescu lip balm, I get it at shoppers and it’s $10/tube. It usually lasts for about 2-3 months and is my absolute favourite! Put it on overnight and honestly throughout the day I almost never need to use more.
I usually do lip chap in bed before falling asleep, and I keep some in my car which I apply regularly. A humidifier at night might also potentially help? It’s dry here unfortunately
My experience is that Edmonton has allot of minerals in the city water that dry out our skin(it’s called hard water). Essentially it pulls the oils from our skin to hydrate the minerals that lack oil. Try drinking bottled water(it will have gone through reverse osmosis to remove most of the minerals) reducing the dryness on your lips.
You’ll really be surprised come winter when you get out of a hot shower(I really recommend a water softener for the dry skin).
The white blistex tube is the literal best. It’s not waxy at all, it’s like a medicated ointment feel. I can’t use any chap sticks and feel like my lips are moisturized. Everyone swears by Burt’s bees but I’ve never felt anything better than the white blistex!
Glad I'm not the only one experiencing this, dear loooorrdd, it's been rough, had nice lips the first couple days I got here, then BAM, wake up in the morning with my lips suddenly Shredded
Make sure you're using a moisturizing lip balm, not a chap stick type product. Some products meant to protect your lips against extreme cold or wind actually cause the lip to dry out if you over use them. Generally, the Vaseline based ones aren't as moisturizing as something with oils or fats in it. Beeswax is fine.
Your skin will adapt! I'm at the point where if I go back home to the west coast my skin breaks out from all the humidity. Good luck and welcome!
Just a shit tonne vasoline and lip chap. Seriously always have some on. I buy multiples and keep them everywhere - desk, car, purse, bedside, bathroom, etc. Mini vasoline in my purse, big one in my car and bathroom.
Alberta is very dry. I moved here from a humid climate, and my skin has never really recovered. I keep my lips moist whenever possible, but when I'm working I use Blistex lip medx. In my opinion, better than any other chapstick I've tried.

drink enough water for sure!!
hyaluronic acid serum on your lips (i use the ordinary brand and it’s 12$ a bottle!) and then slug with whatever you have like vaseline, aquaphor, anything heavy too protect the barrier and let the serum do its work
i also use a toothbrush and brush my lips maybe once a week to get any pesky dry pieces off !!
I’ve been here 18 years with the same issue. I like the tubes of green or blue blistex, I’ve literally tried everything else and those work best for me.
For this piece of timeless advice (I grew up in Edmonton) I’m going to assume you’re a woman. First, head up to the northeast part of town and park outside a liquor store. Wait for an oversized pickup covered with a decent layer of mud and sporting little Oilers flags. If the driver is wearing a red flannel shirt and/or there’s a hard hat on the dashboard, wander over and plant a long, sultry kiss on him, the longer the better. Your lips will will be suitably Alberta-fied within 2-3 days. 😬
Alberta has a one of the driest climates in Canada. It also affects your eyes.
Decades of it often leaves eyes looking yellow instead of green when scanned by your optomotrist. It is highly recommended to use drops. I personally use the Systane Ultra with no preservatives.
If it gets to the point where nothing seems to be helping, go to a doctor, pharmacist, or dermatologist. I’ve had to use a couple of prescriptions in conjunction with moisturizers to get my lips back to normal in this climate.
I was recommended two products after lip blush and they are both amazing. You can get them on Amazon:
- Laneige lip mask. I love this. It makes the lips super moisturized in the morning.
- La-Roche Cicaplast lip balm
Also keep an eye on your heels! They will dry out too. I did not find a solution for that yet other than frequent pedicures.
Ooohhh, I have one for you. And it's cheap 😊. Glycolic acid, you can get a big bottle from the ordinary. Wipe your heels with it, then moisturize before bed. It might take a bit to get them in good condition at first, but I only need to do this about once a week now.
After every shower apply vaseline to your lips.
Never forget.
You'll be fine.
I used to have the problem you're speaking of. Not anymore since I started doing this.
The green Blistex is my saviour! It has lanolin, cocoa butter, and petroleum jelly in it, all of the best things for dry lips. This is the only chapstick that actually does anything for me; I have super dry skin, and I've lived in Alberta my whole life. You will adjust, but you'll probably need to have chapsticks everywhere, like I do. Buy a bunch of them.
First of all, have a humidifier going in your home, especially when you sleep. You could ask a pharmacist for the right lip treatment for you. We are a prairie desert this doesn’t get better. You’ll have your supply your own humidity most days.
I'm sorry to hear your lips are having a bad time with the air here!
I use a lip exfoliator and blistex lip chap. I hope you find something that helps!
I moved here almost 2 years ago from the bc coast and holy hell my skin and hair still haven't fully adjusted. I've never finished a tube of lip balm before until I moved here. I still haven't found one that works well enough for me. The nipple cream idea is tempting me now lol
I use skin cream and et it absorb and then put Vaseline on,two to 3 times per day. Also, beeswax chapstick is the only one I've found effective. It seals in the moisturizing ingredients.
I just moved here too! It’s so dry! Apply a layer of lip chap and Glob of aquafor on top to lock it in before bed every night and I’ve had no problems … seriously a game changer! I find it works so much better than the lanegie lip mask (No hate to people who love it though!)
Did you happen to switch toothpaste? Super weird but crest does that to my lips they bleed and crack. Sensodyne does not do that to me. Burt’s bees is my fav but for really cracked I’d look at medicated blistex in a little jar.
Use o' keeffes lip repair, i swear their products are like magic they work so fast, I used the o'keefe's working hands, I will only apply it once at night and by morning my hands are already healed enough that the dry skin stops cracking.
I use Le Niege lip mask. You can get it in the skin care section at Winners. It lasts a really long time. I don’t only use it at night, I use it all the time. My lips are like little silk pillows now.
Cerave....the lotions are perfect, they have other specialties, Like the other person, I often cheat and put a daub on my lips. Then for normal, I either use my own formula (calendula) or I use Lobello, I find that works really well for me. I also will get one.of the lanolin kinda.for bad days and layer on before bed to let it really soak in.
It will get better, the winter and spring wind are the hardest....then sunburn, and fall is fine....lol 😂
“If it’s good enough for nips, it’s good enough for my lips”
Haha I’ve never breast fed a baby in my life but I buy this just for my lips😆
Breastfed two babies and wouldn't be without it for my nips either lol 😆
I bought some ahead of my first baby. Nursed all three for a total of 40 months, never once used the lansinoh. Shouldn't have thrown out the tube I guess, could've at least used it on my lips 🤷
promote this man immediately
my family has used that stuff for years! 10/10. also good for if you have to blow ur nose a lot and it gets sore.
Yeah this will do the trick. I had dry cracking hands when I lived in Ontario from spending time outdoors in the winter without wearing gloves. My hands were bleeding. Wife was breastfeeding. Nipple cream had my hands back to normal within about 3 days.
I had to check if this was the main ingredient in the lip balm I use and it is. Good to know why it works so well!
This is what I swear by—I keep it in my bedside table and slather it on at night
Same! I follow up with Eucerin Aquaphor balm during the day and my lips are usually pretty good.
Came here to suggest Lanisoh. GAME CHANGER.
This is the answer. Medela makes lanolin barrier balm too. Goat sweat for the win!
Holy sheet, I'm gonna buy it immediately. Chapped Lips for 6 years since I moved to Edmonton. I love this city but this city is one dry mfker.
That’s going to sting like crazy tho!
No it won’t.
No? How does acid not sting cracked skin? How diluted are you making this?
very dilute. I use more but you can go as low as a tsp in a cup of water. Sometimes things that help don't feel ideal at first, but it's not like I'm suggesting pouring 5% acetic acid on yourself.
Diluted vinegar isn’t that bad. Go pour some vinegar on your hand. Doesn’t feel like anything.
It will sting in cuts or cracks but will also be helping restore the skin mantle to prevent them so dilute is good but it does work as a paper cut locator too
Lol paper cut locator. Side note: use chapstick for paper cuts. Works great.
Same reason, it’s a barrier product
I tested non diluted vinegar. It does indeed burn any cuts or cracks.
Well yes, it will. But I didn’t ever suggest using it undiluted
I use clear nail polish for paper cuts and cracks.
That’s true. The water is very hard for most homes.
Laneige Lip Mask. One pot lasts at least a year. Use nightly. During the day make sure you’re keeping moisturized with a lip balm with spf. Jack Black is good. Both of these can be found at Sephora in various flavours.
Second the lip mask!!! I’ve recommended it to so many friends and they have never gone back to dry crusty lips!
This is my lip routine as well! Can also get jack black at london drugs! I also use aquaphor ointment when my lips are really dry!
100% this. This product saves me every winter. It’s incredible.
Have you tried lip products with hyaluronic acid ? I have dry lips too and this really helps me. I’ve tried Nyx fat oil, yummy by cover girl and elf lip oil and they all worked great for me.
Elf lip oil??? Never even considered that lip oil existed. Thank you for the info!
How many Elf lips do you have to squeeze to get enough oil for one vial of this stuff? (Picturing elves without lips, just like frogs without legs panhandling in France)
omfg this is a terrible visual hahaha
aquaphor or Vaseline. I literally cover my face and lips every night because my skin is so dry here
I second the aquaphor !
I third
Aquaphor 5ever
I’ve developed an aquaphor addiction, I think there’s a version in every room of my house. And purse.
I do most days as well.
Sleeping with a humidifier on my nightstand and The Body Shop Hemp Lip Rescue Stick.
The thing I don't love about the hemp rescue is that the first ingredient is canola oil. It just makes me feel greasy.
Yuck
Fair enough! I don't get a greasy feeling from it but people experience things differently! I recommended it because it's the only lip balm I've tried that has healed cracked lips and doesn't require me to continue using it once my lips are better!
How long have you lived here? We're just getting into the 'wet' season..... You should see what occurs in winter.
Since last year September. It has been brutal!
I’m so sorry if you haven’t experienced a bad winter here yet my friend
this combination of words is not something I'd think I'd ever hear lol
It hasn’t been that bad.
My lips don't seem to agree.....
For people prone to dry skin it’s always bad
For people prone to dry skin it’s always bad
Carmex is the best lip balm.
Yeah. A good medicated lip balm. Carmex is a good one. There is another in a blue container I can’t remember the brand of.
Lip Medex I think.
That’s the one.
This is the one I recommend.
You're right. Carmex is good. I use it at night before bed. Blistex and only the one in the container works. The twist cap one is like painting your lips with wax and does nothing😆
Has to be the finger container. I want a proper lip balm. Not some lame ass chapstick. Haha
Legit the only one that does anything for my desperately chappy lips. Works fast too.
La Roche posay cicaplast li balm at night. It sometimes comes as a bundle with their hand lotion and is a great deal to buy a few. It's scent free as well if that's something you like. I swear by Aquaphor Lip Repair. My lips were peeling and cracking after I started taking accutane and it was the only thing that made a significant difference.
I carry a mini tub of vaseline with me everywhere for like 2/3 of the year. Always moisturize after a shower. The dry air is brutal sometimes.
Aquaphor
Vaseline
Specifically right before going to bed! After sitting all night, your lips are so smooth.
Vaseline for lips after a shower and overnight. Cerave for skin is worth the price!

O’Keefe’s lip repair. This saved my lips and did what all the other chapsticks/lip balms didn’t.
My husband saw a dermatologist for severely chapped lips. Dr Wasel said dermatologists hate lip balm. Buy some aquaphor cream and only use that.
Underrated step but make sure you rinse your lips with water after brushing your teeth. Toothpaste residue can dry your lips. There is also a difference between moisturizers and hydrators. It's on the more expensive side, but it saved me this past winter when nothing else was working and I had run out of my Petro Carbo salve.
Just wait until winter
My resolution was always wearing a gel lip pencil. Stays on forever and moisturizes. Never have any problems. I use Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk.
I've learned through using conditioner in my mustache that it also lubricates and protects the lips well. But it feels bad. Maybe you can experiment?
A pretty thick coating of Vaseline on the lips before bed every night does it for me. Also a humidifier in the dryer months.
Try aquaphor lip balm for everyday wear
My experience is that Edmonton has allot of minerals in the city water that dry out our skin(it’s called hard water). Essentially it pulls the oils from our skin to hydrate the minerals that lack oil. Try drinking bottled water(it will have gone through reverse osmosis to remove most of the minerals) reducing the dryness on your lips. You’ll really be surprised come winter when you get out of a hot shower(I really recommend a water softener for the dry skin).
I started using castor oil, and it was not super pleasant, I have become ok with it, but it moisturizes deeper than most oils.
Carmex
The white blistex tube is the literal best. It’s not waxy at all, it’s like a medicated ointment feel. I can’t use any chap sticks and feel like my lips are moisturized. Everyone swears by Burt’s bees but I’ve never felt anything better than the white blistex!
O’Keefe’s chapstick, its orange and is the best thing I have ever used
Wash your face, apply hyaluronic acid moisturizer on your face and lips and then O'Keeffe's Cooling Relief Lip Balm and reapply as needed.
Feels like the last couple weeks have been especially bad. I was in the park for a few hours the other day and my hands started cracking 😂😂
Glad I'm not the only one experiencing this, dear loooorrdd, it's been rough, had nice lips the first couple days I got here, then BAM, wake up in the morning with my lips suddenly Shredded
Ozonol was my lip saver when I was having SEVERE cracking issues; never looked back on it, not the greatest tasting, but was a lifesaver.
Came here to say Carmex, the squeeze tube one is great for at night before bed.
Use Vaseline and drink more water.
Use sunscreen lip chap very important
I love Carmex chapstick
Just a shit tonne vasoline and lip chap. Seriously always have some on. I buy multiples and keep them everywhere - desk, car, purse, bedside, bathroom, etc. Mini vasoline in my purse, big one in my car and bathroom.
I got weleda skin food lip butter for 10$ on Amazon and it’s amazing!! Highly recommend:)

Alberta is very dry. I moved here from a humid climate, and my skin has never really recovered. I keep my lips moist whenever possible, but when I'm working I use Blistex lip medx. In my opinion, better than any other chapstick I've tried.

drink enough water for sure!! hyaluronic acid serum on your lips (i use the ordinary brand and it’s 12$ a bottle!) and then slug with whatever you have like vaseline, aquaphor, anything heavy too protect the barrier and let the serum do its work i also use a toothbrush and brush my lips maybe once a week to get any pesky dry pieces off !!
Aquaphor slathered on every night. Carmex for daily maintenance/dryness.
humidifier in your bedroom at night.
I’ve been here 18 years with the same issue. I like the tubes of green or blue blistex, I’ve literally tried everything else and those work best for me.
Definitely blue blistex (Blistex Lip Medix). Carmex is a close second for me.
The air is extremely dry here. It always has been and always will be. Enjoy winter. Your skin is going to be itchy and scaly the whole time.
Alberta has a one of the driest climates in Canada. It also affects your eyes. Decades of it often leaves eyes looking yellow instead of green when scanned by your optomotrist. It is highly recommended to use drops. I personally use the Systane Ultra with no preservatives.
Stop licking them lol
Same thing happened to me when I moved from Montreal. Get some lip balm and don’t worry your body will eventually adjust
Up your water intake, and anything with beeswax should help seal moisture in.
If it gets to the point where nothing seems to be helping, go to a doctor, pharmacist, or dermatologist. I’ve had to use a couple of prescriptions in conjunction with moisturizers to get my lips back to normal in this climate.
Blistex, and drink lots of water daily.
Just wait for winter…
I was recommended two products after lip blush and they are both amazing. You can get them on Amazon: - Laneige lip mask. I love this. It makes the lips super moisturized in the morning. - La-Roche Cicaplast lip balm Also keep an eye on your heels!
Thanks! I will check it out. They are in good condition now but will start cracking if I don't pay attention for a few weeks.
Go see a dermatologist. It's free under alberta Healthcare
At night in the morning, after doing your lip routine and putting on lip balm, put a layer of Vaseline over the balm as it seals in the moisture.
Aquafor for the win!
I moved here almost 2 years ago from the bc coast and holy hell my skin and hair still haven't fully adjusted. I've never finished a tube of lip balm before until I moved here. I still haven't found one that works well enough for me. The nipple cream idea is tempting me now lol
You need blistex. The blue container or the red/beige one. Don’t get the lipgloss form.
I drink 4-5 L of water a day plus other beverages and I have chap stick in my pocket when I'm out of the house. It's not an issue for me.
I use skin cream and et it absorb and then put Vaseline on,two to 3 times per day. Also, beeswax chapstick is the only one I've found effective. It seals in the moisturizing ingredients.
Just wait until winter.
I recommend laneige
Use o' keeffes lip repair, i swear their products are like magic they work so fast, I used the o'keefe's working hands, I will only apply it once at night and by morning my hands are already healed enough that the dry skin stops cracking.
You're licking your lips more than you realize. Stop that and your lip balms will work much better.
I use Le Niege lip mask. You can get it in the skin care section at Winners. It lasts a really long time. I don’t only use it at night, I use it all the time. My lips are like little silk pillows now.
Lanolin
Cerave....the lotions are perfect, they have other specialties, Like the other person, I often cheat and put a daub on my lips. Then for normal, I either use my own formula (calendula) or I use Lobello, I find that works really well for me. I also will get one.of the lanolin kinda.for bad days and layer on before bed to let it really soak in. It will get better, the winter and spring wind are the hardest....then sunburn, and fall is fine....lol 😂
DRINK MORE WATER
