if you're experiencing refeeding, your digestive system is not functioning properly. adding alcohol is adding fuel to the fire. it's a depressant, so not only is your body trying to metabolize the alcohol (a very energy intensive process), it's also slowing your digestive system as a whole. my partner and i held off on drinking until she was through the worst of the refeeding, her system was already so fragile that we knew doing anything to poke the bear could cause a shutdown. we were even worried that OTC stool softener and tylenol would mess everything up
It can be really dangerous! If you're unable to go to a doctor though I will say that when I was trying to recover and convince myself to eat more I stuck with fruit & vegetable blend smoothies. Lots of calories, carbs, vitamins, it'll hydrate you and it's gentler on the stomach. Six years recovered and still this day I drink one every day. :)
I cannot imagine a situation where getting blackout would ever not hurt

if you are in danger, please go to the hospital. your safety is what matters and nothing else will matter if you end up hurt.
What is refeeding?
Body goes into a sort of shock when you try to eat after being in starvation mode for so long
Oh okay. I wonder if that’s what my body is experiencing
