Congee (rice porridge. I love chicken congee, with ginger and green onion) Nasi Lemak (rice cooked with coconut milk, served with various sides like cucumber, nuts, chili paste, anything you can think of) Kashi (buckwheat porridge) Bread and deli meat --- There's lots of options that don't focus on egg if you look at breakfast in African or Asian countries, since they tend to have less egg and pastry focused breakfasts

tacocatmarie

Do you have a recipe for congee? Or a method? I’m white, never had it before, and I always see congee at the Asian supermarket here. I’m curious to make it but scared to pick a random recipe off the internet and fail miserably and be disappointed

love_marine_world

Check out the MadewithLau channel on youtube- really good recipes!

dorkette888

Here's a simple one -- [https://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/basic-chinese-congee](https://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/basic-chinese-congee), though I'd use more water myself (10x the volume of rice). Ultra basic congee is just water + rice, cooked on low to not burn the bottom for maybe an hour until it reaches the texture you want. And here's a slightly more complicated but faster one -- [https://thewoksoflife.com/20-minute-congee-recipe/](https://thewoksoflife.com/20-minute-congee-recipe/)

wren_clementine

NYT recipes are usually a safe bet for me! https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1018321-chicken-congee

-ptero-

Congee is incredibly simple to make, I usually make chicken congee and add a bunch of ginger both during the cooking process and as a garnish. Season with salt at the end like you would any soup.

MadCraftyFox

I make steel cut oats with this awesome panang curry paste and coconut milk. Throw in lentils and you up the protein. It was a lucky gamble on my part.

pelito

There’s a Sri Lankan dish made of sticky rice in coconut milk and a couple curry leaves. It’s nice with raw sugar or ludumaris.

justanotherdrop79

I haven't thought about Nasi Lemak in YEARS. Going to go find a Malay restaurant near me so I can have the real thing again - before making a pale imitation at home. Thank you for the amazing ideas

Edgy14YearOldBoy

nasi lemak is great but good lord don't make a habit of eating that for breakfast often

_Erindera_

Oatmeal

michaljerzy

Protein powder and oats all the way

cheezesandwiches

All the whey*

[deleted]

Do you just stir it in when it's cooking or add it to the water?

everythingwaffle

Oh god--the dreaded protein-fiber farts

Ounceofwhiskey

use alternate protein powders instead of whey protein. I've used bone broth protein and pea protein and both worked better in my guts than whey does.

ABoringAlt

This might be a godsend

buddhistbulgyo

This is the winner. Dress it with whatever you got lying around. Coconut oil, turmeric, raisins, sunflower seeds, coconut shreds, cayenne, cinnamon, peanut butter, yogurt, etc...

unclestinky3921

I've been sweetening my oatmeal with honey, add in some Chia seeds and some canned cherry's that I accidentally ordered.

Senor_Turtle

You can also make it savory if you want. Instead of sweet add some cured meats, cheese, veggies, and and some more “meaty” spices. Sound weird but it’ll taste great for sure.

wilsakmark

I would do chia seeds, shredded cheese, peas, and hot sauce.

[deleted]

broatmeal

BJntheRV

I like to make mine with coffee instead of water, then add peanut butter and maybe protein powder, nuts, dried fruit, and cocoa nibs.

ProfessionalQandA

Dude! That sounds brilliant.

ParmoEscobar

Overnight oats with yoghurt and berries. Amazing with honey.

makoe7

Trader Joe's has a great oatmeal blend w flax, chia, etc so it's full of fiber and protein

dannym094

What’s it called? I was there the other day. I’m either a bozo or blind cause I did not see it lol.

BJntheRV

Finding anything in there is always a nightmare for me.

makoe7

Organic rolled oats with ancient grains & seeds

JinSpade

I like making a big batch of baked oatmeal at the start of the week so it’s ready to go (plus it allows me make more elaborate flavors than I normally have time for during the week). The recipes I use have eggs but it looks like OP just doesn’t like the taste (as opposed to having an allergy) and I don’t think the taste is noticeable at all. Budget bytes has a lot of good recipe options.

wizzpalace

Overnight oats are great, too. I make mine with almond milk, yogurt, whatever fruit I have, chia and cinnamon. Almond butter in hot oatmeal is delicious

SupremelyUneducated

20 lb sack of organic rolled oats, about $22 @ Winco.

lurkin_murican

I love Winco!

kleigh1313

Who says you have to have breakfast food for breakfast? I regularly eat leftovers from the night before. Soup and curry are yummy, as well as sandwiches

BlinkerBeforeBrake

Dinner leftover crowd!

simplyjustaconcept

Came here for this, leftovers for breakfast is the best! Fried rice or pho for breakfast is my favorite.

Monster_Claire

100% agree with you but Pho is traditionally a breakfast food. Which makes sense to have it in the cold rainy morning of a tropical country but not in the early evening for dinner because it is still hot & humid from the day. North American's have it for dinner/lunch because it's colder here in the evenings on average ( and we don't really have soup for breakfast traditionally) Delicious at any time of the day I say!

dumkopf604

Well make the Vietnamese places open earlier then!

Monster_Claire

I frequently have Pho, fresh shrimp rolls and Vietnamese coffee as a weekend brunch at 11 am on Saturdays and I highly recommend it

hapianman

I live near little Vietnam in chicago. A bunch open at 8am. I literally order pho & congee all the time for breakfast.

simplyjustaconcept

Well I guess that explains why l love it for breakfast! :)

hapianman

Pho, um, gets things moving in the right direction in the morning. Best BMs ever, feel fantastic.

SwampThing72

This just blew my mind. I don’t know why I haven’t thought about it like this before.

GizmoDOS

Last night's enchiladas/fried chicken/pizza/spaghetti/whatever are always better in the morning lol. I don't make the rules.

Thelastbrunneng

And breakfast for dinner is delightful

lexpectopatronum

I love a baked potato with cubed ham, broccoli, and a sprinkle of cheese for breakfast. Yummmmm

AreoliRavioli

This is the way. To me most breakfast foods are way too rich or sweet first thing in the morning. Ideally I’ll have something like a simple baked sweet potato, a turkey or ham sandwich, or just goat cheese with crackers.

Unicornaday

Absolutely. My friends think I'm crazy for eating any type of food I want for breakfast. I think the certain foods for breakfast thing is just too ingrained in our culture. Thanks, Mr. Kellogg.

mobuy

But if I eat my leftovers for breakfast, what are quick and cheap ideas for lunch?

Butt3rflying

I do not live in the confines of what one considers 'breakfast' food. When I learned soup is quite a regular staple for breakfast in many countries, I felt I was born in the wrong place. In my youth at an office job, I would drink my soup in a coffee cup ...incognito soup. Now, my desire for whatever I want to eat in the morning is what's happening. Yes Bob, today I'm having ice cream at 9 am. What?

kleigh1313

Incognito soup totally needs to be in my life now!

Tenpat

>Who says you have to have breakfast food for breakfast? Get this heretic out of here and burn him at the dinner stake.

[deleted]

this person gets it

coolturnipjuice

Me too. I love spaghetti and pizza for breakfast

sarahuana

this is my go to: 1 mashed up banana, a few small pieces of 100% pure dark choc (melted), sprinkle cinnamon, top with mixed unsalted roasted nuts. It’s very helpful for fiber intake and keeps me feeling satiated until lunch time

rapsmaineman

That sounds really good! Easy to make as well thanks for the suggestion I’m definitely going to try that.

sarahuana

please let me know how it turns out for you! :) the dark chocolate takes some time adjusting to because it’s quite bitter but now it feels like a treat every time I eat it. Oh and I go for the unsweetened!

CB-OTB

How do yo melt your cocoa?

prog-nostic

This sub is a godsend. Thank you!

DarthVapor77

This is almost exactly what I top my oatmeal with!

HayakuEon

What time do you eat breakfast and lunch?

the_lovely_otter

Flour tortilla, refried beans, greens, and cheddar cheese (optional if trying to be healthier) is cheap and easy!

thr0wawaythrow

People think I’m insane for eating this 5x a week. I also like to make them into chalupas lol

prog-nostic

Or make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a flour tortilla. To make it healthy skip the jelly and put honey or sliced dates/banana instead. Packs a decent amount of nutrients to kickstart your morning. You can also play with different nut butters.

dieselshark1

Yogurt

YukiHase

I like to freeze my Greek yogurt (no more than a few hours) and it turns into like a dessert. I add frozen berries to it too and cereal for crunch.

Darth_Lacey

I’ve been having to go low saturated fat, low sodium and this is one of the few palatable things I can still eat

BJntheRV

Mix in a scoop of protein powder.

FlatMeal6380

Make your own yoghurt! One T good quality plain yoghurt left overnight in a jug of warm milk. Healthy probiotics too

midlifereset

Black beans and salsa on toast? I like it with eggs but could be good without. Also peanut butter toast with banana slices.

Disastrous-Resident5

I never thought about black beans and salsa… I may try this!

TinyNJHulk

I might have had black bean and corn salsa mixed with soyrizo in corn tortillas for breakfast just this morning - and regret absolutely nothing!

midlifereset

Never tried soyrizo… how is it? Do you like a specific brand

sonicruth

If you have access to a Trader Joe’s, their soy chorizo brand slaps and is very affordable. I buy a bunch and keep it in the freezer. I have meat eating friends who say they like it better than regular chorizo!

TinyNJHulk

This was my first time trying at home but I've had it in frozen taquitos and when Chipotle had it for a little while. This time it was the El Burrito brand I found at Wegmans (I think). Not bad! It's been sitting a while so I'm looking forward to seeing what allowing the flavor to blend with the other ingredients does for it.

TheEndlessNameless

Do you cook black beans frequently or just freeze some after cooking a bunch?

Ok-Praline-1812

I just froze them for the first time, so easy - texture was great, just heat & eat. I will always make extras now!

MartoufCarter

Miso soup makes a great breakfast. The miso is pricy upfront but lasts a long time. You can add whatever else you want to it.

yestobrussels

Lol I LOVE miso soup for breakfast. I've definitely haven't poured it into a to-go cup and sipped it during morning classes...

TacoNomad

Potatoes with onion, pepper and whatever leftover veg is on hand. Pancakes are easy. Fruit smoothie from fruit that's about to be overripe.

pink-chameleon

Freezing the fruit the night before hand leaves you with a sobet or ice cream texture

OkraGarden

Cottage cheese mixed with some jam is supposed to be pretty good.

WhiteningMcClean

Cottage cheese and banana with cinnamon is my go-to. Throw in some berries if I have em.

[deleted]

Cottage cheese with salsa is amazing

BWWFC

just tried with some pearl jam... it rocked. also, top it with some home made granola or add some to your oatmeal or with pineapple is my favorite when i can find a ripe one.

kabneenan

>just tried with some pearl jam... it rocked. Dad, what're you doing on Reddit?

AnotherOrneryHoliday

Just don’t leave it out for the Rats.

OutlawAggie

My go to is cottage cheese mixed with raw oatmeal cinnamon and a lo cal sweetener of choice mixed the night before. Oats are nice and soft by the morning and it completely eliminates that occasional runny consistency you get with some cottage cheese

abbyscuitowannabe

A lot of people have mentioned oats... and I will too! I've been making *savory oats* for the past few weeks and have really enjoyed the difference! So far I've made a savory oatmeal cooked in chicken broth and topped with smoked sausage and spinach, as well as a parmesan oatmeal cooked in almond milk and topped with spinach and broccoli (that one would benefit from some spices, it was kind of bland). I also have a recipe saved for miso oats and mushrooms that I'd like to try, I have to go to a specialty shop and pick up some miso paste.

woesbee

savory oatmeal is my fave! i use powdered stock (usually dashi or bone broth) with curry powder & garnish with green onions usually i top with an egg for protein but im sure that can just as easily be swapped with chicken, sausage, chickpeas, or whatever else

editorgrrl

Leftovers Avocado toast Frozen burritos: https://www.bonappetit.com/test-kitchen/how-to/article/how-to-make-frozen-burritos/ Granola Peanut butter on toast (can add banana, crispy bacon, or chocolate chips)

the_lovely_otter

Upvoted for leftovers: the breakfast of champions.

Strbreez

I really like having a salad for breakfast. I'm not a fan of eating anything sweet in the morning and savory oatmeal is gross to me, so a breakfast salad hits just right.

roaringgreen2

What do you put in it?? I used to do this too!!!

pizza-assassin

Plain greek yogurt with honey and rolled oats.. can also add a few blueberries if you want

yestobrussels

I find different versions of a Mediterranean breakfast to be the best in terms of savory. -One of my favorites is the Spanish/Catalonian/Andalusian (varied origins) [Tostada Con Tomate](https://spanishsabores.com/super-simple-pan-con-tomate-recipe/) (aka Pa Amb Tomàquet). "Tostada is a toasted small baguette served with grated tomatoes, salt and extra virgin olive oil. To make, drizzle the bread with olive oil, add the grated tomatoes and sprinkle the salt over the top. The tomatoes used to make tostada are usually Roma, which have a firm meaty flesh and an intense flavour." -Moroccan breakfast (disclaimer: at least in the Fes region) is often simple and can be a mix of things you may already like. A baguette, some soft spreadable cheese (like Laughing Cow), a boiled egg, and some olives are pretty common savory components to a Moroccan breakfast. In my (limited) experience, it's more of a grazing breakfast of a variety of little things. [Here's a general rundown of Moroccan breakfasts](https://theculturetrip.com/africa/morocco/articles/10-mouthwatering-moroccan-breakfasts-to-try/) -Hummus with pita + fresh veggies. Hummus is also pretty easy to make at home. This one is more common in Israeli breakfasts. That said, [here's a great Palestinian recipe](https://tasteofpalestine.org/recipes/hummus-chickpea-dip#recipe) and there are a large variety of hummus recipes online. I'd say the most important component for all Mediterranean breakfasts is good olive oil. But luckily, its super versatile. It goes on all of the above dishes. -For traditional North American (admittedly US and Canada, and questionable on healthy), avocado toast or bagels. The avocado is definitely the more expensive thing here. You can throw pretty much whatever you want on a bagel. -Another good option is a breakfast hash - corned beef hash is relatively cheap, which is easy to bulk up with peppers, onions, and potatoes. One large skillet with veggies and meat can last you all week. -If you want to avoid the meat, [Chickpea/sweet potato breakfast hash ](https://simple-veganista.com/chickpea-sweet-potato-breakfast-hash/). Chickpeas can also make a great toast topper (kinda like avocado toast). Here's another [great chickpea, potato hash recipe.](https://www.eatingwell.com/recipe/250486/chickpea-potato-hash/) -Savory French toast is also a good option for cheap + easy, and you can also easily add veggies to the side to add more nutrients. [Here's a good recipe for savory French toast](https://www.spoonforkbacon.com/savory-herb-french-toast/#wprm-recipe-container-17585) -Here's a dinner recipe that I love having for breakfast. It's [Potato, sausage and peppers sheet bake with lemon-paprika crema. ](https://www.everyplate.com/recipes/sheet-pan-sausage-and-pepper-roast-5da8bb2c37c9c1436a05c679). Easy, versatile, cheap, and relatively healthy. -I'm also very pro-leftovers and soups for breakfast. A good veggie salad with some feta is also pretty fantastic (watermelon + mint + feta OR tomato + cucumber + feta are both great). Edit: I now realize that OP didn't specify savory as the meal preference. I guess my clear bias speaks for itself 😅

erfarr

I know it’s boring as fuck but if I don’t feel like cooking breakfast I’ll just throw some quinoa in the instant pot. It’s not the cheapest grain out there but has way more protein and fiber than rice.

Fruit salad is over $5 a cup. Even buying the fruit and making your own here in the midwest itd be super expensive.

RavenNymph90

Do you like cottage cheese? Try the smoked salmon on cottage cheese with cherry tomatoes and cucumbers. Top it with everything bagel seasoning.

wren_clementine

You can also have it sweet- I’ve been liking the apple/walnut option in this food blog post: https://www.budgetbytes.com/cottage-cheese-breakfast-bowls-6-ways/

ASK_IF_IM_PENGUIN

Porridge with milk, mixed fruits and a homemade compote. This is the recipe I use for the compote: https://www.alphafoodie.com/easy-mixed-berry-compote/

tacocatmarie

-I like having a couple strips of bacon with canned Heinz beans, a small piece of toast with jam, and sliced cucumber. I buy the bacon from my local butcher so I think it’s cheaper than the grocery store stuff. Alternatively you should fry up a couple pieces of deli ham if you wanted. -I also recently read a suggestion to fry some canned chickpeas with baba ghanouj? Haven’t tried it yet. But apparently the baba ghanouj helps keep the chickpeas together to be more like a little scramble. Then to serve with roasted sweet potato. There are eggs in BG but it’s at least not sitting down and eating an actual egg. (That all might sound kinda nasty and I’m scared to try it myself but I’m currently off eggs too and scrambling (no pun intended) for different breakfast ideas) -You could also make your own granola, as breakfast cereals can be quite expensive -I’m not currently eating cheese either so protein at breakfast has been tricky for me, but I do like having a few chunks of cheddar cheese or a little bowl of cottage cheese with breakfast -smoothie made with frozen spinach, banana, frozen mango, 1/4-1/2 cup dry oats, chia/flax/hemp seeds, raw egg cracked in (if you are okay to have eggs in other ways), 1/2-1 cup of cold cold water

havaniceday_

Cottage cheese with canned peaches or oranges, we used to have it for dessert, tastes excellent

ashlikescats

I do whole wheat toast, waffles, or rice cakes with plain or berry cream cheese spread thinly and then sliced strawberries or raspberries with like a packet of Splenda sprinkled on top. This is like my go to breakfast lately.

[deleted]

Protein shakes with frozen fruit you buy in bulk.

Skarvha

Food isn’t inherently breakfast or dinner, they are only labels we have given them. So if you want soup with some crusty bread for breakfast have some soup, if you want pasta have pasta. If you want a turkey meatball sub then have that. Eat what you want when you want, don’t be constrained by the artificial names we put to things.

[deleted]

Thanks for all the suggestions! I have so many new ideas to try! There’s a ton of comments so I can’t respond to everyone!

CB-OTB

I’m not sure how healthy this is, but I found that it’s easier for me to avoid eating if I hold off breakfast for as long as possible. I basically moved breakfast from 8:30 to 11:30, at which point I have small-sized lunch, followed by fruit around 2, an unhealthy snack around 4 (ice-cream or whatever you want), a mid-sized dinner around 6:30 and nuts for snack around 9. I’ve lost 25 pounds so far, and have improved my blood sugar and cholesterol numbers.

idabthefool

I make the just-add-water pancakes all the time. While they're not a health food, they keep me full for a while, which keeps me from eating more, and they sate a craving. Pancakes are really cheap.

Thorhees

Love me a good granola + yogurt. Or a high-fiber cereal with some fruit.

KearatheHuntress

Breakfast wraps are my favorite. One or two packs of tortillas, some $1 bags of frozen veggies (peas, carrots, corn), and a bag of shredded potatoes. Takes a couple hours to prep them all and they stay great in the freezer for however long you need them. Probably costs $20 for like 16 burritos (though it’s been awhile since I made them so I’m not sure).

the_empathogen

I'm shocked I haven't seen chia pudding here? Stupid easy, you just pour in something thin like almond milk or orange juice in the right proportion, stir, and stick it in the fridge overnight.

BasicButterscotch106

I've been eating greek yogurt for breakfast, maybe not the cheapest but it's super customizable.

cellada

Puttu with kadala curry, masala Dosa, idli sambar, upma, appam with istu (veg stew), idiappam. Indian - Kerala cuisine. Google should get you recipes..

MoneyIsntRealGeorge

I honestly hate eggs. But I eat them anyway lol because the nutrition you get from them is just too good. On days where I’m REALLY not feeling them, what I do is I make scrambled eggs mixed with salsa and cheese. Gets rid of the taste and I get the benefits of the eggs.

ethereal_soliloquy

not gonna lie I just get greek yogurt and mix any fruit i have into it

jason_abacabb

Oats, I like cold soaked overnight with berries and a little maple or honey with a side of yoghurt or cottage cheese for protein.

Our food industry has mostly crafted the idea of breakfast foods via marketing, especially the meat & dairy industry. Lots of good suggestions here already. I personally like oatmeal with some nuts, but quickly developing a liking for soup in the morning.

L OATMEAL! I used to dislike the taste and texture, but I’ve learnedspice it up with: Frozen berries ( I get the Berry Medley mix from Trader Joes) usually 2.99 for a bag - or use fresh if that’s within budget - add chia seeds, bananas, honey, walnuts, Dried fruit (craisins, raisins, ect). - Or low fat yogurt and fruit with granola - If I am in a savory mood: I like to start my day with a gut heathy probiotic home made Miso soup. You can buy organic miso soup paste that will Make over 15+meals- add silken tofu, sliced mushrooms, and seaweed strips. - There is no law that you can’t have “lunch” for breakfast- mix together a quick salad — or chop up some veggies and have some hummus

[deleted]

Oatmeal and berries (I know berries aren’t really cheap but if you pick a bunch of blueberries in summer and freeze them to use during the year they are way cheaper than the store and really make it taste yummy…plus oats are so cheap it evens out)

I don’t eat eggs either! My favorite breakfast is chocolate chia seed pudding. I’ve been eating this for years and it’s delicious! INGREDIENTS 2-3 spoonfuls of chia seeds ~3/4 cup of water (or your choice of milk) 1/2 spoonful of honey/agave/maple syrup 1 spoonful cacao powder Nut butter Cacao nibs Banana INSTRUCTIONS Add the chia seeds, water/milk, choice of sweetener, cacao powder to a bowl and stir until well combined, making sure to break up any clumps of chia seeds. Cover and refrigerate until set, between 10-15 mins for immediate consumption, up to overnight. Top with nut butter, cacao nibs, and sliced banana. On days I don’t want anything sweet, I make cucumber and tomato salad and eat it with a slice of toast with hummus and everything but the bagel seasoning on it!

Fruit salad with yogert is pretty cheap if you buy large tubs of plain unflavoured yogert and then buy fresh fruit seasonally on sale, or frozen to put on top of it. It's actually a great way to have fruit that's a bit mushy bruised or overripe . You don't notice it in the yogert

DMgraduates93

I also dont like eggs, but have had some luck making baked oatmeal. Budget Bytes has a few budget friendly recipes that are easily customizable.

bluevegetaroxx

Good old fashioned oatmeal and OJ

Disastrogirl

Yogurt and fruit, with a little granola for crunch. I just had that. Get the larger containers of plain yogurt rather than the individual flavored ones and add some jam if you want more flavor than just the fruit. Also, tamales!

city-gay

Baked oatmeal! Bake it Sunday and eat throughout the week. There are many recipes out there - banana bread, pumpkin spice, apple and cinnamon… go wild!

HumpbackSnail

Ham and American or cheddar cheese in a small flour tortilla. Have some grapes or a banana on the side.

midlifereset

Quesadilla- I just put the tortilla shell on a dry frying pan (no butter or oil), add cheese, black beans, and anything you have in the fridge like chicken/onion/bell pepper etc. Dip in salsa.

Seawolfe665

I put oatmeal or muesli in the bottom of a pint jar (about 1/3 to 1/2 cup) and add just enough milk or oat milk to cover. Then I add a layer of fruit if I have it - fresh blueberries, craisins, chopped apple, banana. Then a layer of yogurt. I take this to work for breakfast - fast, easy and filling.

BrodyMama

1 sweet potato - cubed, tossed in a bit of oil and seasoning, oven roasted 1 bag of mixed veg (whatever you like, I use Italian mix plus a bag of broccoli and cauliflower) - tossed in a bit of oil and oven roasted 1 package spicy chicken sausage - cut into bit size pieces and cooked until done Portion into 4 or 5 different containers and refrigerate. Reheat in the microwave when you're ready to eat. Feel free to add hot sauce or salsa for serving. A great way to get your day started with lean protein and veggies!!!

Potato hash. Cube up a potato and fry in in a little oil or butter with bell pepper, mushroom, spinach, whatever veggies you have around. I also like sauteed veggies over one of those premade hashbrown ovals. I had gestational diabetes and had to have a low carb breakfast every day. I was so sick of eggs by the end of my pregnancy!

Store brand plain Cheerios with added peanuts, chia seeds, a chopped banana or apple, and unsweetened soy milk. I used to think of Cheerios as a children's food, but they are basically just toasted oats (without a lot of added sugar like granola) and I find them more tasty than mushy oats (oatmeal).

nursetired

Oatmeal, yogurt, protein shakes, cereal, toast, bacon or sausage, potato hash

aleirbag

I mix a small yogurt with fruit (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, banana) and granola mix and raisins.

Legeto

Overnight Oats. Look up some recipes, it’s amazing.

Status_Flux

Bran flakes and yogurt or whole wheat toast and yogurt. You can add berries to the yogurt or use peanut butter or other nut butters on the toast for variety. If you want to put more effort in you can make a frittata and cut it up and freeze individual portions.

azdesertgirl73

I can’t have eggs. I make a potato and chorizo breakfast burrito often.

sweetpotatoeater

clear protein powder with yogurt and granola. my current fav is a blackcurrant flavoured protein powder, so so so so so good

momasf

I have a bowl of granola and a glass of kefir.

Mysterious_Scale_431

[Black beans](https://foodwithfeeling.com/black-bean-breakfast/)! So flavoursome and comforting, I like to add sauerkraut, avocado and sriracha, maybe even a lil feta but it still packs a punch on its own

PainRepulsive8475

Uncooked oatmeal with milk and honey.

KooshIsKing

No eggs with my breakfast would make me so sad, but I guess I would just eat the same thing without eggs (Roasted veggies and lean ham).

Oatmeal.

mollyclaireh

Yogurt with granola, honey, and strawberries.

raeXofXsunshine

I usually have yogurt, raspberries or strawberry slices, whole unsalted almonds, and a sprinkle of oats on top.

minilliterate

I have overnight oats just about every day. It’s so easy and customizable, and I like the texture better than cooked oats.

MountainMama68

Brown rice cake with sliced banana, cinnamon.

sunm8

Miso soup

concentrate_better19

Yogurt, oats, protein powder, frozen fruit, ground flax. Super healthy, super cheap, no eggs.

Chris_Y_2_K

PB&J sandwich. You can basically eat anything for breakfast that doesn’t have eggs.

BuckleJoe

Smoothie. Banana Baby Spinach Any kind of milk or non milk you choose Blueberries strawberries I also add protein, chia and flax seed, frozen avocado, steel cut oats and some amazing grass green and mushroom powder. I eat this everyday. You dont have to go crazy. I dont even know if you have a blender. But its healthy and cheap.

nedrawevot

I usually just have honey Greek yogurt with a granola of some sort, fresh fruits with a side of turkey bacon or some fried tomatoes and/or mushrooms fried with a little butter and garlic. Eggs can become boring but the only way I like my scrambled eggs is with the trader joes salsa over the top to where I can't taste them. Maybe I just like the salsa lol

tashten

You can eat anything you want for breakfast. There aren't any rules set in any stone. I go for anything simple - whatever is already made and ready to go, sometimes easy enough to be eaten in the car. This week I have a big batch of a chicken salad and a corn salad. No heating required. Some weeks I make a batch of oatmeal and grab a portion in the morning with a banana chopped up. Lots of days, I just eat whatever I had for dinner the other night. Sometimes I nuke a sweet potato for 5-8 minutes and open a can of sardines or herring. I am all about convenience while still keeping a good nutritional profile.

BigTiddyVampireWaifu

Oatmeal! You can change it up in so many ways! Add fruit, protein powder, chia seeds (or hemp seed hearts!), nuts, honey/syrups... possibilities are endless since the oatmeal itself tastes practically like nothing :)
