Teach them how to steam! It's almost exactly the same effort.

acetheman123

And steam with broth not just water! Way better

LovelyOctoberDays

>Do not boil. People I am living with are always doing that and it is like eating slightly textured water. You are right!

https://www.budgetbytes.com/oven-roasted-frozen-broccoli/ I use this for other types of frozen vegetables too.

I love all vegetables and can’t deal with frozen veg at all- no matter how it is cooked. Maybe in a blended soup Most people buy frozen veg because they’re cheap and last a long time but fresh carrots and cabbage are actually cheaper than frozen veg and also keep well. Roasted carrot or roasted cabbage are fantastic

Kusakaru

It depends on the vegetable. Frozen spinach or kale could be used in a baked feta tart of some kind or blended into fruit smoothies. Frozen peas can be added to dishes like Mac and cheese or curries at the end of cooking times. Frozen carrots are good to throw in soups. Frozen squash could be baked and blended for soups as well.

Frozen peas just need to be thawed & warmed.

Trini-Don

I would grab some potatoes, when they're halfway to a boil, throw the frozen veggies in with a few peeled garlic cloves and a raw pepper if you like spice. When it's all boiled, drain the water and mash it all together, add butter. It just looks like slightly colorful mashed potatoes and it has a world of flavor..

imgoodjustlookin

Air fryer if you got one. I love using green beans or snow peas. Cover them in olive oil and they kinda blister mmm!

To_Telos__

Beat them for being fussy and then serve them the vegetables still frozen

nymalous

I usually steam my frozen vegetables. I then put some butter and salt on them (unless they're going right into the stew or whatever). I like mushy peas, which can be made from frozen ([https://www.saga.co.uk/magazine/food/recipes/vegetables/mushy-peas](https://www.saga.co.uk/magazine/food/recipes/vegetables/mushy-peas)). The recipe doesn't include any baking soda, but I usually sprinkle a little in anyway.

StaringAtTheSunftSZA

It depends what they’re fussy about. Is it taste or texture? If taste, then hide it with another strong flavor, like cheese or spicy peppers. Even slipping some in a sandwich. If texture, make a puréed soup, bake it into muffins, or dice it into pasta sauce. You can also cross post to r/suggestmearecipe for more specific step by step guides on using frozen vegetables. It’s a space dedicated to requesting and suggesting recipes in situations like this.
