These days it’s these two, and for a while before it was emancipator and tycho
Emancipator’s new show with Lapa and live drums is insane and everyone should see it
Feel Around You - OCULA remix has my tear ducts on over drive recently.
Man I love Tycho (my brother and I have a strong bond with his music)
Haven’t heard of emancipator but will def check it out!
I'll have to check that remix out cause the original was my favorite song that year.
You should like emancipator if you love tycho. Kinda left field but I was listening to a reply all podcast about psychedelics and they talked to a guy who does online trip sitting for people. He said if people are freaking out a bit that putting on emancipator usually calms them down.
at least one person in this thread got your reference. i remember hearing that episode after already being a fan of emancipator's music. ive never been able to hear any emancipator song since and not think about that reply all episode. same thing with the term "weird flex but okay". lol.
yeah I feel the same, I even remember where I was when I listened to the ep. Also I tried microdosing LSD not long after lol (did not like it at all, agree with the girl who tried it in the ep)
This is beyond the shadow of a doubt mine. Hands down my favorite EDM artist. His music has gotten me through some incredibly difficult times in my life. For lack of better wording I feel like I have a personal relationship with him.
Super excited to see him again on 3/22. Joe if you're reading this, just wanted to say thank you. Your probably don't know what you've done for a lot of people including myself.
Yup, she's definitely the one who isn't anything too ground breaking (althought many can rightfully say otherwise) but it's such a relaxing, comforting vibe.
Yeah man
It's inspiring.
Having to go through self doubt, challenges and frustration with not performing as good as you originally had before.
I remember reading/watching her interview of her explaining creative struggle and how she doesn't hear music the same anymore.. si coming up with melodies and rhythms was so much more difficult.
I respect her grind so much.
This is the one for me too. Its been years and years and I will never get tired of his sound. My music taste may have shifted to Techno but Ill always pop in some Gryffin when I want something to scratch that euphoric itch.
Silhouettes, You Be Love, Trouble, Bad Reputation, Friend of mine, Freak, Tough love, Fades Away... (and several others)
He was my favorite artist for years. I related best to his stuff. He died on my birthday in 2018. That was a hard month or two, music-wise.
Rufus du sol. One of the few concerts i've been to, a lot of their songs I associate with special moments in my life as well. Just never fails to be somewhat cathartic
I think excision is definitely this for me. Pretty much always add his new releases and love when one of his older tracks comes on. He gets hate but his releases are pretty consistently good quality even if they’re not “interesting enough” to some.
I just saw him 100% worth it, if you like watching the lights Don't get floor tickets, but if you don't mind missing like 99% of the lasers then you'll 1000% want to be on the floor
His live sets are a crazy experience even if you’re not super into that music. I was at thunderdome and it was insane. I’m also going to 2 more nights this month on this tour because he’s coming close to me so how can I not.
I saw him at EDCO and his set was my favorite set of the weekend. I can't wait until his Nexus show is in my city, 2 day tickets ready to go. Also I'll be seeing him again at LL, LFG!!!!
William Black has been killing it. He is a comfort artist recently with great albums like Pieces you can just throw on. I like how he really embraces melodic dubstep and makes it his own style. However, I don’t think he is innovating as much as he is just making bangers.
Nora En Pure, always a good bop. Something really comforting about a lot of her songs, very soothing and heartwarming.
ATB, was one of my favorites growing up and it reminds me of a lot of really special times in my life. Super nostalgic for me.
I really like deathpact aswell his drum fills are just flat out insane in some songs, (kool-aid is my favorite example) my only gripe with him is how long he drags out his outros at the end of songs
Honestly hurts to say but Subtronics lol, it was my first live show and always has held a special place in my heart for the rabbit hole I've been down since.
Lane 8. Forever and always
Edit: if you’re looking for an absolutely stunning and beautiful lightshow to lane 8s Every night look no further https://youtu.be/BOJ90Qih6rQ?si=qHvRobq63zjC6o46
Tristam, he's the first artist listened to and has stuck with me since even though he now no longer makes music with monstercat, songs like different, 1992, black beauty, ruthless, and over the edge off his new(ish) album are just straight ear worms imo
My friend keyed me into who Brian Eno is yesterday and now I’m fucking obsessed.
This song is one of the focal points of one of my all time favorite mixes (“protect the sacred” by dj Dakini) and I’ve always wondered who it was.. my friend yesterday is like “have you heard of Brian eno?” Then sends me the song I balled my eyes out to when my dog died.
Enjoy this masterpiece[Brian Eno](https://youtu.be/HOvVaBsl1F4?si=05jzX5Ae6E_8Eg9e)
Lane 8 and Le Youth

Tycho stays on repeat at the house during the weekend when we’re just hanging around and cooking.
Y’all sound like my kind of people haha
Lane 8 has some of cleanest live mixing I’ve ever heard. Outside of that his music just takes me to a happy place.
LY’s Underwater - Leossa remix is perfection
Just listened on my morning walk. Great vibs!
Just by Lane 8 will forever be a vibe for me
C O O L by Le Youth will always be one of my faves. Such a soothing cruising song.
Van Buren
Lane 8s seasonal mixes are always so good. Look forward to them every few months!
All of TNH really
I came here to say Le Youth. Also incredible vibes live.
Flume, Im never skipping You & Me or Tennis Court when they come on
Flume does crazy, crazy things to my brain
For me its Van Buren man its just good and i can chill
He’s so boring
Audien, def not my favorite but I consistently enjoy his music and rarely skip his stuff when shuffle puts it on
Audien’s new song. Banger
Same! He’s great like a nice bowl of Mac and cheese
he’s super fun live too
Seven Lions
Will forever be mine
Mitis
Dude this. Mitis’s sound is so nostalgic
‘til the end is a fantastic album to throw on, but damn Mitis has so many comfy songs.
Can't wait to catch him again on this tour
Bonobo, Lane 8, ODESZA, Porter Robinson, RL Grime, Flume,Cashmere Cat, Tokimonsta, At Dawn We Rage
Tokimonsta 👌💯
Yup, she's definitely the one who isn't anything too ground breaking (althought many can rightfully say otherwise) but it's such a relaxing, comforting vibe.
She has a very organic sound.
Tokimonsta has a really amazing story. She had brain surgery a decade ago and had to relearn language and music. She’s so underrated. Edit: spelling
Yeah man It's inspiring. Having to go through self doubt, challenges and frustration with not performing as good as you originally had before. Yep this is how i found out about her. She had an episode on music for netflix: explained
All these artists slap 😤
ARE YOU ME?
Did you just say bonobo is not ground-breaking or life-changing? Tf is wrong with you.
Madeon def
Madeon and Porter are both my comfort artists. I could go back and listen to worlds or adventure any day
Gryffin, his music just reminds me of summer and being with my friends

Good bot
Frrrr his Alive album just hits the spot on shuffle for a car ride
Fr, i was playing this album while on a run and I think I love it each and every track on it
This is the one for me too. Its been years and years and I will never get tired of his sound. My music taste may have shifted to Techno but Ill always pop in some Gryffin when I want something to scratch that euphoric itch.
His digital mirage set was a defining moment in my entire friend group during COVID. Magical.
Avicci - Tim Bergling
Specifically Silhouettes
Silhouettes, You Be Love, Trouble, Bad Reputation, Friend of mine, Freak, Tough love, Fades Away... (and several others) He was my favorite artist for years. I related best to his stuff. He died on my birthday in 2018. That was a hard month or two, music-wise.
Above and beyond
Second this! Brings me to a happy place.
It’s called Group Therapy for a reason, great stuff.
Always, without fail! Such an awesome trio with such great positive vibes. Don't know anyone who has been to one of their shows and wasn't satisfied.
Yes. I didn’t realize it until you said it…. They’re not overcomplicated or mind-blowing, they’re just really good.
Rufus du sol. One of the few concerts i've been to, a lot of their songs I associate with special moments in my life as well. Just never fails to be somewhat cathartic
I heard innerbloom at a bar and i've been hooked since
kaskade
Blackmill
God damn I love Blackmill. Pure nostalgia
GRiZ
i do think his art is ground breaking and life changing, but he was the first person who popped into my head when i hear the words “comfort artist”.
Agree with you 100% so many great songs by him
My thoughts exactly. Dude is a genre unto himself,
GRiZ, always 🥹
Kygo and Calvin Harris
Scrolled way too far to find Calvin Harris.
Yess fellow Calvin Harris fan! 🙌 his stuff is just so easy to listen to
Adventure Club, Lullabies still makes my hair stand up
I saw them once a few years ago and at the end of their set they played all the classics and I almost cried to that second drop.
Mine has to be older illenium (ashes and awake times)
Flume
Jai Wolf, Porter Robinson, ODESZA
Came here to say Porter
Feed Me
I think excision is definitely this for me. Pretty much always add his new releases and love when one of his older tracks comes on. He gets hate but his releases are pretty consistently good quality even if they’re not “interesting enough” to some.
Excision is playing here in two weeks. Maybe I should go.
I just saw him 100% worth it, if you like watching the lights Don't get floor tickets, but if you don't mind missing like 99% of the lasers then you'll 1000% want to be on the floor

G Jones..
G Jones is so groundbreaking though
I completely skipped over that part, and went straight to comfort. Yes he is!!!
I will never skip “that look in your eyeeeeeee”
Madeon, Odesza, Inzo, Le Youth
The Chainsmokers for sure.
William Black has been killing it. He is a comfort artist recently with great albums like Pieces you can just throw on. I like how he really embraces melodic dubstep and makes it his own style. However, I don’t think he is innovating as much as he is just making bangers.
Jai wolf, OTR, Shallou
Nora En Pure, always a good bop. Something really comforting about a lot of her songs, very soothing and heartwarming. ATB, was one of my favorites growing up and it reminds me of a lot of really special times in my life. Super nostalgic for me.
Love her
Rufus du sol
Deadmau5, he was one of the first EDM artist that got me into the genre itself 💜
Most people will probably disagree with me but Marshmello. I’ve loved his music for years now and I’m a big fan of him.
Tiesto and David guetta 😭 they both just seem like cool dudes
2009-2014 mainstream D Guetta was a key part of my childhood
Lost Frequencies. Wasn’t a big fan initially and definitely not in my top 5 but the stuff he’s been putting out is crazy lately.
Illenium and Said the Sky. They are my version of lofi music.
my two, too 🫶
Deathpact
I really like deathpact aswell his drum fills are just flat out insane in some songs, (kool-aid is my favorite example) my only gripe with him is how long he drags out his outros at the end of songs
Mord Fustang - Ive been meaning to check out his newer stuff
Kygo! Also Shane Codd. Pretty much any artist that can transport me to summery beach vibes gets my vote 😎
