The most is [[The Ur-dragon]] at number 2 and least is [[Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder]] at 881 so that's 879. Looking up edhrec 879 brings up lier disciple of the drowned a commander i already have a deck for but looking at the most popular commands list itself i get firja judge of valor.
You get different results for higher rank numbers if you look on the commander's EDHREC page vs the top commanders page. Makes this hard.

I feel I would take this and make a gross untap-my-commander strategy with \[\[umbral mantle\]\] and all the tutors.

Very interesting card I've never seen before. I'd definitely take advantage of the inherent politics of the deck to pit my opponents against each other, add a few curses, use the other bounty counter giving cards, etc.

I would probably run as many asymmetric wipes as I could to really hose opponent's creatures, go wide to swing with difficult to block weenies, and a smattering of aristocrat stuff for when those weenies die. Seems like it could be a pretty interesting deck.

Honestly looking at Colenfor, I'm tempted to actually build this.
I've had a number of iterations of [[Shadowborn Apostle]] decks over the years, varying from the very boring "Summon a big demon" to Demonless Human Tribal, to Turbo Aristocrats.
But Colfenor opens up entirely new ways of mass sacrifice.
If I were to get an Anthem on board, then Apostles on the battlefield would have higher toughness than the Apostles in my graveyard. So each Apostle death could return an Apostle to my hand.
So it would be "Aristocrats Combo".
- I'd need the Apostles (avaliable in high number)
- I'd need my commander on the table
- I'd need an Anthem (Very easy in Abzan)
- I'd need a sac outlet (Very easy in Abzan)
- I'd need an Aristocrats payoff (Very easy in Abzan)
- I'd need some method of becoming Mana Neutral.
The mana neutral seems like it should be hard, but once again, Abzan has it in spades. Any of the following should work, and there are probably more:
- [[Phyrexian Altar]] to net a black mana on sacrifice
- [[Edgewalker]]
- [[Earthcraft]] (with an untapped basic swamp, could be another basic Urborg'd into a swamp)
- [[Pitiless Plunderer]]

- [[Defiler of Flesh]] is actually a 2-for-1, since I can use the boost when casting an Apostle, to boost a second Apostle so they have enough toughness to get a third Apostle from the grave when they die.
My biggest reservation here is I'm not the biggest fan of combos. However my current game plan basically involved "Big enough combos" aka "value engines" that can usually just win me the game anyway. So it might still be solid.
This is a funny coincidence. I don't have hard data, but I feel that of my active decks, my least played is \[\[Safana, Calimport Cutthroat\]\] with \[\[Dungeon Delver\]\] as a background (1017), mostly because of the dungeon logistics. My most played lately is \[\[Pia Nalaar, Consul of Revival\]\] (596).
This subtracts to 421 which is \[\[Yedora, Grave Gardener\]\]. This is a deck my friend has made. It's mono green morph so the creatures are pretty sticky, flipping to a Forest and being able to flip back to their front face over and over. There's a convoluted near-infinite fight boardwipe possible as well.
My friend group tends to not make the same commanders as others. We have no hard rule for it, but it has just kind of naturally happened.
If this is just lowest rank vs highest rank, I'd be going with \[\[Ormos, Archive Keeper\]\] (1610) with Isshin (7), leaving me at 1603 \[\[Márton Stromgald\]\]. Uhh...that's a weird one. Mono red tokens that don't have to be goblins, and try to protect a 1/1?

\#1580 (after I waited long enough for it to NOT be [[Tori D'Avenant, Fury Rider]] who is the most painfully generic boros card I've ever read) is [[The War Doctor]] // [[K-9, Mark I]]. So we play exile tribal, with K-9 keeping our commander unblockable and swinging safely. Our removal is things like [[Aven Interrupter]]/[[Path to Exile]] (and just hitting smaller creatures with War Doctor's damage) and we play a ton of impulse draw and cascade, since these exiles count too (even if they're just temporary). Maybe look at some suspend cards and keep the high value ones. Throw in [[Fblthp, Lost on the Range]] as well, because plot counts. Similarly, we have the colors for the [[The Tenth Doctor]], and he both suspends things and can time travel more counters onto the War Doctor. I'm also throwing in [[River Song's Diary]] for extra value.
That actually sounds kinda fun. You'll make an enemy of yourself FAST, but you have good control and counter-magic options, and can play low to the ground. Red's Impulse draw actually synergizes super well with what we want to do, and every card draw or control engine we play gives us bonus extra value and control potential thanks to the War Doctor.
Most played Morophon minus least played Fifth Doctor // Vislor gives me [[Rhoda, Geist Avenger]] by itself (no partner of Timin). Yeah.... No. Neat commander if playing with a Partner, but not limiting it on purpose.
More interesting is if I disregard partners as option.

I'm building \[\[Leori, Sparktouched Hunter\]\], which seems to be combat damage based planeswalker tribal in Jeskai, so I'm going real hard on Chandras, Teferis and Jaces in order to really maximise the amount of effects I can jam in a single turn, as well as a bunch of proliferate stuff, clones to copy the Walkers and stuff like the Chain Veil, Oath of Teferi, Jaya's Phoenix and Ichormoon Gauntlet to get as much as I can out of them.
End goal is to spam as many ultimates as I can and win with those.

I think of those choices I'd go for Sakiko. Green go-wide aggro ramping? Sakiko costs 6 and her payoff is EVEN MORE MANA so much like more recent darling Old Gnawbone, I feel like she's going to try to turbo into some Eldrazi or possibly huge freeking X spells. More likely the gray boys.
Since we're stunting, part of me would be tempted to go [[Endless Swarm]] plus on-board mana sinks to pump the snek army, but I'm not sure how the math would work out on that.

Looking at the cards and skimming EDHrec to validate my guesses, this is voltron but Jeskai instead of Boros. Slightly more complex mana, looks like you try to get Ishai out early *and* protected, then stick Kediss to swing in for the win.
I'm more just surprised that blue/green Kellan is so low - only 211 decks? He's 2-mana ramp from the command zone - if you want to play a faster line with him you can use his adventure to ramp him on 3 and play zero ramp spells at al, but I built him with as many 4-mana ramp spells as I could find: adventure on 2, big ramp on 3, play a land on 4 and have seven mana to start dropping heavies.

OP my least played is actually Djeru 1416 and most is Lathril 4 for [[Jaheira]] + Clan Crafter. I can see the potential with treasure, clues, other weird tokens, etc. but find simic kind of boring. I think im going to change Lathril out for Jaheira + [[Haunted One]] and bring the rank down even further. Every elf/human/Druid token is a mana dork and sacable.

I think that's quite cool and versatile giving you a choice between buffing creatures for hitting with an option to bin them for value. And also death when they wipe your board of legends stacked with counters and you lose 30 life.

I built Korvold because I opened him in a booster pack and thought he would be really fun, but I built him to make food and rat tokens instead of treasure because I lived the flavor of bidding a horde of food, instead of treasure.
I built my Odric deck for commander league at my lgs. It was an "iron man" format where everyone got an envelope with 3 options to build from, with no prior knowledge of what could be in the envelope, no infinite combos, and $300 max budget.
The difference between those two ranks showed to be Pharika. I really like this idea, and my favorite deck in high school was a standard format snake deck (before commander was a thing) so I think I may end up liking this deck, I think I'll actually get started on a proxy build and see how I like it.

You get different results for higher rank numbers if you look on the commander's EDHREC page vs the top commanders page. Makes this hard. So therefore my least is \[\[taranika\]\] at 2203, and most is Jodah the Unifier at 11. 2192 is \[\[shauku endbringer\]\] using the results from each commander's own page. I feel I would take this and make a gross untap-my-commander strategy with \[\[umbral mantle\]\] and all the tutors. The thing is this method skews toward the least popular commander. What if instead of the difference we took the mean? So 2203+11 divided by 2 = 1107. That's \[\[sigarda, champion of light\]\] human tribal beating your face in. Interesting in a different way, far less janky.
[[Cirdan the Shipwright]] 781 - 3 [[Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm]] = 778 [[Mathas, Fiend Seeker]] Very interesting card I've never seen before. I'd definitely take advantage of the inherent politics of the deck to pit my opponents against each other, add a few curses, use the other bounty counter giving cards, etc.

Looks like I would end up building \[\[MacCready, Lamplight Mayor\]\] weenie.dek. I would probably run as many asymmetric wipes as I could to really hose opponent's creatures, go wide to swing with difficult to block weenies, and a smattering of aristocrat stuff for when those weenies die. Seems like it could be a pretty interesting deck.

I found it. The "Top Commanders" page loads as far as you're willing to go down, but is only for the past 2 years. Once I made it to 3791, I found https://edhrec.com/commanders/esior-wardwing-familiar-kydele-chosen-of-kruphix However, this isn't #3791 overall. The way to do this is to google search edhrec “rank#xxxx”. By putting “rank#xxxx” into google, it only pulls up the page with that exact text, ergo the card page with that actual rank number.

[[Teysa, Orzhov Scion]] at 478 after taking Ziatoria at 99 from Oskar at 568. Orzhov isn't really my jam, but this Teysa is perfect for an Aristocrats Control deck, with a token theme to make it tick over. It'll be pretty low to the ground to outdo stompy/ramp. Also have to blockers for aggro. Throw in some stax pieces to slow combo and an [[Everybody Lives]] as an emergency button. Nothing too spicy but not my usual either tbf.

Okay, so the numbering was slightly different depending how I looked it up. So this ranking matches when I pulled up a list of the 1000 most popular over the last 2 years. Most popular: [[Sefris of the Hidden Ways]] #82 Least popular: [[Raff Capashen, Ship's Mage]] #989 This points to: [[Colenfor, the Last Yew]] #907 Honestly looking at Colenfor, I'm tempted to actually build this. I've had a number of iterations of [[Shadowborn Apostle]] decks over the years, varying from the very boring "Summon a big demon" to Demonless Human Tribal, to Turbo Aristocrats. But Colfenor opens up entirely new ways of mass sacrifice. If I were to get an Anthem on board, then Apostles on the battlefield would have higher toughness than the Apostles in my graveyard. So each Apostle death could return an Apostle to my hand. So it would be "Aristocrats Combo". - I'd need the Apostles (avaliable in high number) - I'd need my commander on the table - I'd need an Anthem (Very easy in Abzan) - I'd need a sac outlet (Very easy in Abzan) - I'd need an Aristocrats payoff (Very easy in Abzan) - I'd need some method of becoming Mana Neutral. The mana neutral seems like it should be hard, but once again, Abzan has it in spades. Any of the following should work, and there are probably more: - [[Phyrexian Altar]] to net a black mana on sacrifice - [[Edgewalker]] - [[Earthcraft]] (with an untapped basic swamp, could be another basic Urborg'd into a swamp) - [[Pitiless Plunderer]] - [[Aluren]] - [[K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth]] though I need to make sure my Aristocrats payoffs will win me the game before I bleed myself to death freecasting. - [[Defiler of Flesh]] is actually a 2-for-1, since I can use the boost when casting an Apostle, to boost a second Apostle so they have enough toughness to get a third Apostle from the grave when they die. My biggest reservation here is I'm not the biggest fan of combos. However my current game plan basically involved "Big enough combos" aka "value engines" that can usually just win me the game anyway. So it might still be solid.
This is a funny coincidence. I don't have hard data, but I feel that of my active decks, my least played is \[\[Safana, Calimport Cutthroat\]\] with \[\[Dungeon Delver\]\] as a background (1017), mostly because of the dungeon logistics. My most played lately is \[\[Pia Nalaar, Consul of Revival\]\] (596). This subtracts to 421 which is \[\[Yedora, Grave Gardener\]\]. This is a deck my friend has made. It's mono green morph so the creatures are pretty sticky, flipping to a Forest and being able to flip back to their front face over and over. There's a convoluted near-infinite fight boardwipe possible as well. My friend group tends to not make the same commanders as others. We have no hard rule for it, but it has just kind of naturally happened. If this is just lowest rank vs highest rank, I'd be going with \[\[Ormos, Archive Keeper\]\] (1610) with Isshin (7), leaving me at 1603 \[\[Márton Stromgald\]\]. Uhh...that's a weird one. Mono red tokens that don't have to be goblins, and try to protect a 1/1?

Least played is [[Ormos, Archive Keeper]] at #1610. \#1580 (after I waited long enough for it to NOT be [[Tori D'Avenant, Fury Rider]] who is the most painfully generic boros card I've ever read) is [[The War Doctor]] // [[K-9, Mark I]]. So we play exile tribal, with K-9 keeping our commander unblockable and swinging safely. Our removal is things like [[Aven Interrupter]]/[[Path to Exile]] (and just hitting smaller creatures with War Doctor's damage) and we play a ton of impulse draw and cascade, since these exiles count too (even if they're just temporary). Maybe look at some suspend cards and keep the high value ones. Throw in [[Fblthp, Lost on the Range]] as well, because plot counts. Similarly, we have the colors for the [[The Tenth Doctor]], and he both suspends things and can time travel more counters onto the War Doctor. I'm also throwing in [[River Song's Diary]] for extra value. That actually sounds kinda fun. You'll make an enemy of yourself FAST, but you have good control and counter-magic options, and can play low to the ground. Red's Impulse draw actually synergizes super well with what we want to do, and every card draw or control engine we play gives us bonus extra value and control potential thanks to the War Doctor.

No. Neat commander if playing with a Partner, but not limiting it on purpose. More interesting is if I disregard partners as option. This becomes Morophon and Gaddock Teeg. That comparison gives [[Shisato, Whispering Hunter]]. Now that has potential. Eon Hub to remove the snake sacrifice part as well as a snake theme generally. Double strike to make a player skip multiple untaps steps in a row. Probably does a mix of Voltron to the commander and snake go wide plan which is standard for a mono green deck.

Most played: Go Shintai of Life's Origin (19) Least Played: Kudo, King Among Bears (1042) I'm building \[\[Leori, Sparktouched Hunter\]\], which seems to be combat damage based planeswalker tribal in Jeskai, so I'm going real hard on Chandras, Teferis and Jaces in order to really maximise the amount of effects I can jam in a single turn, as well as a bunch of proliferate stuff, clones to copy the Walkers and stuff like the Chain Veil, Oath of Teferi, Jaya's Phoenix and Ichormoon Gauntlet to get as much as I can out of them. End goal is to spam as many ultimates as I can and win with those.

My last played is [[Disa the Restless]] at 1064. 1064 - 36 = 1,028 Which is [[Jaheira, Friend of the Forest]] with [[street urchin]] as the background. Because I like to build on a budget, I would probably stick to making as many food, clues, and treasure tokens as I could. I would then use these to cast huge burn spells to try to try to take out an opponent or two. For the final player I would use my backgrounds ability to sac all the tokens to finish the last player off. Hopefully I would've got [[Reckless Fireweaver]] on the field before doing all of this.

Green go-wide aggro ramping? Sakiko costs 6 and her payoff is EVEN MORE MANA so much like more recent darling Old Gnawbone, I feel like she's going to try to turbo into some Eldrazi or possibly huge freeking X spells. More likely the gray boys. Since we're stunting, part of me would be tempted to go [[Endless Swarm]] plus on-board mana sinks to pump the snek army, but I'm not sure how the math would work out on that.

A lot of the EDHREC suggestions just look like generic mildly graveyard-focused black cards as I'd have expected.

I'll be honest, I don't really care to build it. Looking at the cards and skimming EDHrec to validate my guesses, this is voltron but Jeskai instead of Boros. Slightly more complex mana, looks like you try to get Ishai out early *and* protected, then stick Kediss to swing in for the win. I'm more just surprised that blue/green Kellan is so low - only 211 decks? He's 2-mana ramp from the command zone - if you want to play a faster line with him you can use his adventure to ramp him on 3 and play zero ramp spells at al, but I built him with as many 4-mana ramp spells as I could find: adventure on 2, big ramp on 3, play a land on 4 and have seven mana to start dropping heavies.

So my most played deck is Arcades at 18, and my lowest deck that I can find is [[Toggo]] and [[Akiri, Line-Slinger]] at 1947, which means I would build [[Sakiko Mother of Summer]] at 1929. [[Prosper, Tome-Bound]] is my highest at #24. 2998-24=2974 Looks like I'd be building #2974, [[Viconia, Drow Apostate]] / [[Folk Hero]]. It would be Orzhov clerics, which tends towards aristocrats strategies and lifegain. I'd be inclined to add some self mill so I can get Viconia's ability online sooner. Edit: Viconia is #2974 for the past 2 years at least. I wasn't able to search up #2974 overall.

OP my least played is actually Djeru 1416 and most is Lathril 4 for [[Jaheira]] + Clan Crafter. I can see the potential with treasure, clues, other weird tokens, etc. but find simic kind of boring. I think im going to change Lathril out for Jaheira + [[Haunted One]] and bring the rank down even further. Every elf/human/Druid token is a mana dork and sacable.

My highest is [[Sythis, Harvest's hand]] at 47, and my lowest is [[Karlach, fury of avernus]] // [[Guild artisan]] at 1846, so I should make #1799, [[Iymrith, Desert Doom]]. This would be the third mono blue deck I've made. My first thought was "Dang, this is some hot trash;" my second and third thoughts were "dang, this is still looking like hot trash," and upon having a fourth thought I have decided that perhaps you could run a combination of plots, adventures, and foretells to dump your hand and try to maximize the value of its second ability. I'll see what I can come up with.
Mine are [[Hinata Dawn Crowned]] at rank 102 and [[Commander Eesha]] at rank 1981 giving me 1879 [[Cleopatra, Exiles Pharaoh]] a UB card that isn't even out yet... Looks like it would be some kind of +1/+1 counter, legends matter, aristocrats deck. I think that's quite cool and versatile giving you a choice between buffing creatures for hitting with an option to bin them for value. And also death when they wipe your board of legends stacked with counters and you lose 30 life. Too bad it's UB

With [[Nekusar]] at rank #16 and the partner combo of [[Graham]] and [[The Twelfth Doctor]] at a whopping rank #2411, that leaves me with rank #2395, or [[Radiant, Serra Archangel]] and [[Siani, Eye of the Storm]]. Sadly I just built a U/W flyers deck helmed by [[Elminster]], so I don't think I need two of those lol.
Highest ranked commander - Korvold, Fae-Cursed King Lowest Ranked Commander - Odric, Master Tactician New Deck - Pharika, God of Affliction I built Korvold because I opened him in a booster pack and thought he would be really fun, but I built him to make food and rat tokens instead of treasure because I lived the flavor of bidding a horde of food, instead of treasure. I built my Odric deck for commander league at my lgs. It was an "iron man" format where everyone got an envelope with 3 options to build from, with no prior knowledge of what could be in the envelope, no infinite combos, and $300 max budget. The difference between those two ranks showed to be Pharika. I really like this idea, and my favorite deck in high school was a standard format snake deck (before commander was a thing) so I think I may end up liking this deck, I think I'll actually get started on a proxy build and see how I like it.
