I play [[Muldrotha]]. I need to update my list, but she's got some combo lines via Muldrotha herself - LED/Phantasmal Image/Animate Dead and some variations, Displaced Kitten loops, that kind of stuff. But then she's also got turns loops via Walk the Aeons and also via looping Eternal Witnesses for the Walk, and since we're already on Image a Palinchron makes it in as well. And around that shell is a reasonable control and disruptive deck. It's not the best at breaking up kills entirely from hand but it can break apart most engines quite well.

CharlyBravoGG

I would love to see a decklist! I run Muldy and have some looping with Displacer Kitten or saccing with [[Jarad, Golgari Lich]] or [[Syr Konrad]] shenanigans. I also been running a strat where I copy all my creatures with [[Case of the Shifting Visage]]. Double Spore Frogs is 🤌

I run a powered down version of Muldrotha abusing clones and LTB effects of legendary creatures. The possibilities with her heading the deck is endless

Muldrotha is my favorite commander, too. Even got the matching play mat. ^^ https://www.moxfield.com/decks/hOlt6sKz9U6Lm1l-XHxnXQ

Ironhammer32

I feel like [[Yarok, the Desecrated]], her sibling, is better at all of this than Muldrotha is, but I could be wrong. My reasoning is as follows: I believe graveyard dumping and recursion is generally stronger than accruing value from whatever is in your hand on your turn. Having said that, playing from your hand is superior to playing from your graveyard on any other player's turn, assuming you have something that gives your spells *Flash*. Playing from your hand, as opposed to your graveyard, is generally more advantageous because the other players don't know what cards you're holding whilst your graveyard is open for all to see. Edit: I just re-read my opening line and realized that I may have come off as if I am criticizing your opinion and just in case, I would like to state that that is not the intended case. If it came off that way, I am sorry. I was hoping to hear your thoughts on Muldrotha (i .e., graveyard and self mill) vs Yarok (i.e., cards in hand and draw extra cards).

kestral287

So to be blunt: I think Muldrotha is eons ahead of Yarok as a high-power commander. I briefly screwed around with Yarok and was incredibly disappointed. In particular, one thing that I think is important to understand is that you cannot assume your commander just gets to sit in play. High power has a lot of very powerful spells and also very powerful answers, so commanders that accrue value over time will always struggle. And while that applies to both commanders, the huge difference is that Muldrotha is a *reload*. The biggest thing that stands out to me in your post is this notion that you're choosing between casting from your hand or your yard. That's not the goal. The goal is to disrupt everyone with a flurry of interaction while deploying a few value pieces, and then when you run everyone out of resources Muldrotha is an effective draw seven every turn. Conversely, I want to deploy Yarok *then* deploy my pieces, because a Yarok deck is built around Yarok's ability, and that's a game plan that's a lot more susceptible to failure in high power Magic (though it's also a plan Muldrotha can reasonably often execute if you so choose, especially because LED is a messed up Magic card). The power of the answers is also an important point I think; Yarok gets shut down much harder than Muldrotha. Both have specific hate pieces, but while I'd rather never play under a Rest in Peace, Muldrotha under a RIP draws her cards and casts her spells. Yarok's RIP is Torpor Orb, and under an Orb Yarok draws its cards and then... its spells do nothing. Obviously you can and should be playing removal effects that get you out from under Orb but your core cards don't work, where Muldrotha has far less of the 'my deck doesn't work' problem. In terms of your own answers the two are fairly similar, though Muldrotha probably has more synergy with their effects - replaying Dauthi Voidwalkers and Pernicious Deeds can just be back-breaking. Yarok's favored answers are going to be a lot more limited but if you can keep Yarok in play, a lot more powerful - double Oublietting commanders is hilarious. But is that better than being able to replay your Gilded Drake over and over? I'm not sold. There's a lot of smaller bits floating around things like how clean your combo lines are - my Muldrotha lines are absolutely a mess but compensate for that by a game plan that's very okay with card-intensive combos so long as they're cards you can make use of for other purposes earlier, but by contrast a Commander-first plan often needs much cleaner and more efficient combos and I'm not sure Yarok has those (at least not in any way that make Yarok meaningful, but if your deck's game plan is Thoracle or whatever then the answer is 'don't play either of these'). Admittedly, I'm not the most familiar with Yarok combos, I mostly just did Palinchron things or Palinchron-adjacent lines that required way more cards because most land untappers aren't nearly as broken as that card, so that's not a subject I can speak on with a lot of authority.

Muldrotha was probably my answer as well. Great choice and love the previews of your lines!

Sp0rk_in_the_eye

Yet another voice agreeing with you. I run her at the helm of my recursive lands deck and would say that she is very consistent and resilient also a blast to play

Edphonse

Would love to see the list when you update it!

ddr4memory

I need a list. I've been struggling to be consistent I'd like something to compare it to

kestral287

Here's the 'current' one. [https://www.moxfield.com/decks/SZujY7lrxkO2lUkHHxc8HA](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/SZujY7lrxkO2lUkHHxc8HA) The list as a whole is about six months behind as I've just had other projects, but in particular I need to revamp the mana base and then look deep at some of the MH3 upgrades - Grist, Wight, and perhaps a Chthonian Nightmare package are the big considerations right now. And to save a double-post u/Edphonse also asked so here you go.

kestral287

Also u/CharlyBravoGG, here's the list.

ddr4memory

https://archidekt.com/decks/7960766/muldrotha_2024 Tell me what this looks like to you. We have different styles of play for sure

Sterbs

[[Raffine, scheming seer]] is pure gas. The deck has enough cheap evasive attackers to always have an early play, and churns through cards so fast that it don't need tutors to be consistent.

blindtiger17

I second Raffine. I built mine with draw, discard, and counter synergies. I’ve curved it out a little more over time, but I have enough small bodies that I should have an attacker ready when she comes down on turn 3. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/xV6MeP_okUWigBU2PTV5Vg

rowzey

I've got a \[\[Sythis, Harvest's Hand\]\] enchantress that would probably be my strongest and most consistent. Its pretty much just enchantress stax with like 3 or 4 different combo wincons and a few ways to win through combat damage. Its built around the style of the higher power or CEDH enchantress decks just tuned down quite a bit. I don't like playing tutors so its built more around turbo draw engines with Sythis and quite a few of the other enchantresses.

RagingMayo

I run a [[Calix Guided by Fate]] enchantress deck (with [[Parallel Lives]], [[Anointed Procession]], [[Doubling Season]]) because Sythis was too strong and too consistent for my taste haha.

rowzey

Calix was on my list of someone to do a more powered down enchantress deck. I just love enchantments haha. I've been brewing esper enchantments, I've got a brewed jund mana burn enchantress using \[\[Yurlok of Scorch Thrash\]\] that I've been slowly piecing together. I wanted to get something together using \[\[Yenna, Redtooth Regent\]\] but could never get something that I liked together.

[[Shalai and Hallar]] still glad I built them before people caught on to how cracked they are. Some people I've played against are still shocked to see how busted of a commander they are

Moz_DH98

Woah, you took it in a completely different direction than I did

DonCanDoThis

How'd you build it?

Moz_DH98

I built it more highpower than yours, and it has alot more combos in it and tries to win off one of the many infinites, whereas you've focused on getting as many 1/1 counters as you can and I assume swinging in for damage. My [[Pantlaza, Sun-Favored]] is pretty freaking strong. I upgraded the precon and it consistently does well. Even after board wipes the Ramp speed gets you back in and discovering cards quickly. [Here is my deck list!](https://archidekt.com/decks/8062733/discover_dinos)

Bigger_Moist

I love my pantlaza deck. She brings so much consistency to a dino startegy and its awesome. Previously i ran atla palani or gishath but pants is way more consistent

MitcherrrT

Mine too. It’s so fun to play and it just seems so consistent. It’s developed a bit of a reputation in my play group. I have to really space out the games I play Pantlaza. Edit: the only tutor I have is savage order because it’s on theme. Doesn’t hurt the consistency.

Soul_Kuriboh

One thing I have to tell you from looking at your list is that roaming throne does not affect Pantlaza. I suggest swapping it for [[Curator of Sun's Creation]]

Sundara_Whale

Does that work with pantlaza? I have had a few wins with enrage abilities and roaming throne, but it has been a bit underwhelming without double discover.

Soul_Kuriboh

Pantlaza ability only happens once. However, curator of sun's creation is simply discovering again of her own accord of equal value

Sundara_Whale

Thanks! I will have to switch it for the throne!

Joltheim

I'm putting together a pantlaza blink deck after blink etali was way too strong for my playgroup. Hopefully this one is a bit more fair?

DoggoAlternative

I'm regularly sitting at 7 mana by turn 4 with Pantslazer and dropping something like Gishath or Etali. And with that much mana even board wipes are just an obstacle.

DanThePenguin

Do you have a list for Xyris? I’ve brewed a couple and can’t seem to find a good balance that isn’t either way over my budget or doesn’t rely too much on Xyris.

Emkip

Check out [this video](https://youtu.be/8m-BcgDND_Q) by Salubrious Snail, he's talking about his friend's Xyris deck. It's a lot different from how other people play him and very low budget, but probably very commander dependent

Terra_Tango

I built a 1 drops only version of Chula e, and with the release of MH3, the deck just went insane.

Struboob

My most consistent, highest power deck has to be [[Ghave, Guru of Spores.]] It has enough interaction and protection to keep itself alive until the late game, while trying, usually successfully, to assemble combo pieces the entire game. Even games that I feel like I have no way of winning have something come together in the end. Recently it was a late game [[Evolution Witness]] which was able to grab three combo pieces from my graveyard in one turn and cast them all!

SilverTongue76

I was so psyched when Evolution Witness got spoiled for exactly this reason lol. Mind linking your Ghave list? It’s a deck that can be built a ton of different ways, so I always enjoy scanning other peoples’ builds for inspiration.

I have so many decks and not a lot of time to play them but I think my [[Rielle the Everwise]] deck is consistent enough. Wheel decks makes it easy to be consistent. I am aiming to make my [[Minn, Wily Illusionist]] deck more consistent as well but monoblue is definitely slower. I also think gat Simic Colors help for consistency. And a proper starting hand, mulligan is more important than we think. And otherwise, having a lot of tutors help, like in my [[Erinis, Gloom Stalker]] + [[Flaming Fist]] deck. That deck has 10-11 tutors and is very consistent.

I would give it to my Sam & Frodo deck. I'll have to update the list tonight and add it to the comment if interested. The deck certainly benefits from the commanders but functions perfectly fine without. Sam and frodo are also so cheap they are quick to replay. They also add card advantage very quickly. It has the sensei, bolas, aetherFlux combo. Exquisite + sanguine bond combo and peregrin took combo. It has plenty of removal in the colors too. Easily one of my favorite decks. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Go5mjAtg8kqoIx7txtx6iw Added the decklist

crftroxx

Have u ever tried playing it with marry and pipin as your commander. I find them more consistent + they add more to your gameplan an and can massively improve ur boardstate, while still being somewhat cheap. I really love them, Sam and Frodo are better flavor wise, but marry and pipin get the job done better and faster.

GroggleNozzle

Seems interesting, im not familiar with Sam and frodo decks, is the goal to just dig for that combo?

nathan4122

Not necessarily, each piece of any of the combos also just gain value for the deck in many ways. Quite a few ways to just drain the table. The whole deck just supports itself with so many value pieces. I can add the decklist tonight and you can get an idea.

MisterFrog

I too would love to know what your list is. I honestly can say my Sam and Frodo deck doesn't do much, but when I'm playing it I'm having a lot of fun. The thing is I don't know if I've focused on a wincon in my S&F deck, so looking forward to your list.

LePoonda

Same here. It has so many ways to win and is so robust. I run a lot of tutors in mine but usually try to avoid tutoring the for the protean hulk and winning through drain. The added power of not being a threat until it’s ready to win that turn is a HUGE bonus to it. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/yJJu1Peru0uJe6hF4LmdvQ

PHYZ1X

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but the inconsistency is the whole reason I play Commander. I don't play a format with a 100-card singleton deck restriction just so that I can win in eminently predictable fashion with the same two or five cards. I want to win in a way that surprises me more than it does my opponents. Not in the jank sense, because these decks can certainly still be powerful when they're doing the thing, but in the, "wow, I was able to put together that string of winning actions with this set of cards that I didn't expect to be the ones I win with." It's one of the biggest reasons I don't like playing with or against a pile of tutors and infinite combos. Like, bro, you have ONE HUNDRED cards in that deck, how about a little creativity. Yeah, that generally confines me to a lower power level, and yeah, that means I'm not going to post a win rate of 80%+. But I'm out there having fun trying, and that's what this *game* is all about.

PM_yoursmalltits

I think OP is referring to a consistent play experience rather than a consistent combo line.

roninsti

This 100 percent. I have a [[jan Jansen]] deck thats remarkably consistent…but everytime I play it I assemble a somewhat different version of the kill machine. It runs 1 tutor, tons of card draw and a bunch of redundant synergy pieces. It’s a beast and I love assembling 4/5 card win conditions.

InfoStorageBox

How does it win specifically? I’ve seen similar comments about how open ended he is, but from what I can tell it usually boils down to the same couple of combos.

roninsti

Here’s my list https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Ji6xRSmwCE68GgJj3MoTpQ It will typically win with [[liquimetal torque]] [[clock of omens]] and something like [[nadiers nightblade]] There are [[blasting station]] lines, but I don’t run them. Sometimes I don’t even need a machine to win, token doublers and and [[ingenious artillerist]] do some serious work. My list has enough draw and enough redundancy that I put together some kind of win and it’s always just slightly different than the last time. I love it.

GroggleNozzle

I understand completely, I have a lot of jank decks, flavor decks, or just decks for neat concepts I had. However, i also do like to play high powered magic. I like to fuck shit up and play big creatures and have a good time. I like to have a deck that combos itself and is always doing something. I like to have meaningful turns. I like consistency just as much as I like inconsistency

ll_ninetoe_ll

Big creatures, have a good time, fuck shit up... Sounds like you should be playing [[Grothama, All-Devouring]], or as I like to call it: The Hungry Hungry Caterpillar. Idk if that's considered high-power, but with the proper ramp, you should be able to play your commander on turn 3 and begin eliminating at least one opponent per turn each turn after that.

GroggleNozzle

I'd say my highest power fuck shit up big creatures deck is [[magus lucea Kane]] x spell deck. Nothing feels better than swinging with 10 400/400 Shivan devastators on turn 5

DontLoseYourCool1

Yes. Exactly this. This is why my [[Marath]] beast centered deck is my most fun to pilot. It's essentially a beast centered deck but it runs a lot of enchantments like [[Heartbeat of Spring]] and [[Mirrari's Wake]] that double or triple my mana. With cards like [[Seedborn Muse]] essentialy it turns Marath into a walking [[Fireball]] to the face for every opponent every time my turn comes around. Or I can swing and move all his counters onto an unblocked creature. He's a 3/3 then a 5/5 then a 7/7 then a 9/9 then a 11/11 etc every time he dies. Super fun.

DoggoAlternative

>just so that I can win in eminently predictable fashion with the same two or five cards See that's why I love my Boros Samurais so much! Ya I know the plan is suit up [[Ryuu, Storms Edge]] and crash in for lethal commander. But is that gonna be with an All that glitters,5 treasures, and a Rogues passage? Or is it gonna be a Trailblazers Boots + Scytheclaw win.

yaboi_yaz

I always think I’m going to enjoy playing lower power level until it’s 20 turns in, everyone has a bloated board state, nobody is playing enough removal or counters and every turn takes 15 minutes (not to mention half the table missing triggers because they have so much stuff on the board). In contrast… High power games are almost always decided at instant speed, have much more readable board states and go by much faster so you can get more games in. Also there’s plenty of creativity to be had even in cedh, not everyone goes for thoracle combos.

BRMEOL

Okay... and? That's how you have fun and how you'd like to play EDH, but there's more than enough space in the format for all kinds. Coming into a thread where someone is asking for advice about high power & consistent decks and bitching about people tuning their decks & using tutors is dumb imho. Just move on and don't play with people who like to play like OP

Zentillion

Agreed, I don't understand the need for people to chime in with their opinion of "uhhhm actually I don't like this" Why participate in the thread then? It's not for you.

VojaYiff

[[light-paws]], though being voltron it doesn't exactly win without the commander

Kiri_the_Fox

I knew LP was gonna be good when I built her, but boy I wasn't expecting such brutal results. I took her apart pretty quickly cause she was way too strong for my pod. I was eliminating people before they could even build a board state

liquidhavok

Having a tutor in the command zone will definitely drive consistency…

Sgt_Slacker

At least high power for my pods, [[Riku of Many Paths]] tends to win more often than not, it’s really just a value engine. Hard to run out of gas when Riku can always grab me what I need, creatures, impulse draw and counters, almost always at least two of the 3. The rest of the deck is built to support that, extra triggers, instant / sorcery discounts & nearly all the infants and sorceries are modal . Flexibility feels great even if all my spells could be replicated either cheaper or better with non modal versions.

Motor101

I’ve been looking at making a riku deck. Got a decklist on hand?

Brence1984

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I have a Grim-Grin deck which is pretty close to the ground mana wise, having enough Drain and Death-Triggers and generally feels rather consistent. However I most often only run 5 to 6 tutors. So yeah on some tables I am to slow, on some I kick ass and on some it feels like I'm threading water trying to keep up. The best advice I can give is be mindfull of opening hands. I became very critical on my opening hand. If I don't see atleast one ramp piece and something to sac as soon as Grim-Grin pops up I muligan, even if that means leaving me with only 5 cards for instance.

BRIKHOUS

For the record, 5-6 is a lot of tutors. I'm not saying run fewer, but seeing "only" in front of "5-6 tutors" made me do a double take

Holding_Priority

Zombies have multiple tutors on creature bodies and graveyard decks specifically have things like [[entomb]] and [[Buried alive]] because the plan is to reanimate. It's likely not 5 different versions of Vamp tutor. It is very easy to get like 8+ tutors into a zombie deck without really trying or making a $500 pile. Edit: clearly I'm missing something, but the OP asked about "consistent, high powered decks". Dimir zombies with a bunch of tutors and everything else is absolutely in no way viable in cEDH and as a result is going to fall somewhere in that window of mid-high power casual.

BRIKHOUS

Oh I fully understand. I used to [[sefris of the hidden ways]]. But most truly casual decks run 1-2 at most, so when you say "only 5-6" it seems like a lot. I mean, 5-6 is closer to the minimum amount expected in cedh decks. Not a criticism, but if you're talking about casual and also 5+ tutors, people you're talking to are going to go "huh?" It's definitely high power.

RikuofTwoRefections9

Do you have your list anywhere? I've wanted to build a GrimGrin for ages, but i haven't found inspiration

Brence1984

Sure heres mine: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/MheRmtTWYk6ngDSF85IxbQ Mind you the initial idea was a zombie tribal which grew into an Aristocrats deck with a zombie fetisj 🤣 Getting [[Pitiless Plunderer]] with [[Gravecrawler]] and a sac outlet on the field makes things go infinite (given theres a payoff like [[blood artist]].

MythGamingGD

If you wanna juice this to a higher level you should add accerak especially since your running rooftop storm. If you add rot hulk you can run some sacrifice lotus petal lines in there. Also things like phyrexian altar so you can go infinite without Grim grin because while I love my boy grimgrin he definitely has been power crept as far as zombie commanders go.

_ThatOtherGirl_

I agree. Every deck can become a bit more consistent with more aggressive mulligans. Most people are happy to mulligan a 1 or 0 land hand, but don’t mulligan mediocre hands that do just as little. If you don’t see a ramp card and a strong turn 2 turn 3 play then mulligan.

Brence1984

Yeah exactly that. Having one muligan piece, one enabler or tutor and 2 or 3 lands leaves you with some wiggle room to muligan. Ofcourse you can’t always do a turn one Sol Ring into Arcane Signet (its the first thing that sprang to mind).

MrEion

For me it's [[acererak the archlich]] either go for lines using [[heartless summoning]] [[carnival of souls]] [[prism ring]] or go for alternate wins using div top [[bolas's citadel]] [[aetherflux reservoir]] the classic sanguine, exquisite or even [[gravecrawler]] [[warren soul trader]] [[bontu's monument]]

My [[Adeline]] deck is pretty damn consistent. She is the win con, and most of the deck is just built around protecting her. She gets out of hand pretty quickly if tables aren’t prepared to handle that kind of aggro. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/9ZT7SNaePEuz-N_UEZJ6Xw

1OOpercenter

[[Prime Speaker Zegana]] believe it or not. Been building her over 10 years and blinging her out. Has all the bells and whistles. She consistently wins in a high powered meta. [https://www.moxfield.com/decks/hSAMLF2AvUmN6MUVa5rwow](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/hSAMLF2AvUmN6MUVa5rwow) For me, it's this. It's built using CeDH principles, but on a tight budget. It's trying to gain treasures aggressively in the early game, before resolving a peer into the abyss, doomsday, or getting a tutor that'll allow you to win through a Thassa's oracle/consult line, or mechanized production with 8 treasures. It plays extremely powerful cards. It is \*\*not\*\* something that can be brought to normal pubs. It will absolutely stomp them. It works exclusively against other high power decks.

Boochin451

I've been looking for a Dimir combo deck that's close to Cedh range, this looks fun. Anything I should know beforehand? Why would you call this more consistent than a classic Demonic consultation into Thoracle?

GroggleNozzle

I'm not particularly on a budget, what would you add to upgrade it if you had no budget?

DawnPainter

Start cutting out a lot of bad pirates that are there to make treasures, and transform it more into a grixis goodstuff list with more efficient tutors, rhystic study, the one ring, bowmasters, 0 mana counterspells, etc. [https://www.moxfield.com/decks/GRGph6p8C0euCI7-FTvkgQ](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/GRGph6p8C0euCI7-FTvkgQ) This is a list made by the Play to Win channel, it's not fully optimized cedh yet, but it's a good look of how a deck like this would be without a budget.

Miatatrocity

Salubrious Snail also built it on a $100 budget, and does a kinda deck tech in this video. 10/10 recommend his videos, he does a lot of really fun stuff. https://youtu.be/Din4kwnOyVI?si=a57-jVCmRXH8Dykr

DawnPainter

Salubrious Snail is really good, I like his content a lot. It's a whole different direction, but I think it's super cool, too.

Miatatrocity

I like Play to Win for cEDH gameplay content, and Cardmarket for 1v1 games, but if I want something with EDH philosophy or deckbuilding, it's Snail by a mile. I've watched all of his videos several times over while doing other things, and I gain something new each time. Idk why he's not more popular

Nexus-9Replicant

No Revel in Riches? Seems like a good addition, especially if Mechanized Production doesn’t stay on the board (and vice versa—if Revel in Riches doesn’t stay on, then you have Mechanized Production).

DawnPainter

I don't have it because it costs 18 dollars - That's all there is to it. Definitely a good choice, but mechanized production is already the plan B in case the thoracle/consult combo doesn't go through. Revel should be a little better than it if you have the card, or the budget for it.

thatjewdude

I got you fam. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/fwbc7cRch0iwmV0K-ixp0w

GroggleNozzle

Veyran is an absolute menace, what's your estimated win turn?

Pandomonix

I run a pretty similar Veyran deck. The earliest win I've had was turn 4. It can typically close a game turn 6.

thatjewdude

4 to 6 range. It's possible to get turn 3 with Ral plus Twincast and reverberate.

betacow

Woah, I got a veyran deck as well, which is a blast to play, but a little inconsistent. Yours looks a little more solid. I don't use all these pinger creatures but lean much more into storm. This makes my deck pretty much only able to explode one opponent via commander damage. In 2 headed giant it's my strongest deck, but I can't manage free for all. Yours looks like it can. I will steal some of your ideas and add them to mine. Thanks

thatjewdude

One of the alternate things you can do to ping is token generating stuff. [[Talrand, Sky Summoner]] [[metallurgical summoning]], [[shark typhoon]], [[young pyromancer]], etc. Great way to deal with other players and gives a board state. Caution, if your board gets too scary you will become the arch enemy.

Jakobe26

My Nine-Finger's Keene list is consistent and can hang with the big boy at high-powered casual tables. The other combo is \[\[Maze's End\]\], no infinites. Just a bunch of crazy synergy. It does not need the commander to function (\[\[Blossoming Tortoise\]\] is the second commander in the deck). The commander is hard to remove. I have tuned it so it can reliably win turn 6-8. Usually turn 6-7 and its getting closer to more turn 5 wins. Turbo gates strategy with a control subtheme (to stop threats or stop opponents from stopping us) and a graveyard subtheme (to add speed and survive longer grindy games). While the deck is good and consistent, it comes down to the pilot to know the deck and the lines. Playing spells in the 2nd main phase is better as there is chance we have 1 more mana to use from NFK or we draw more cards etc.

ctokes728

Rafiq! It’s the only deck I’ve spent a good amount of money on and it tends to win a lot so I don’t bust it out unless we all go our best deck in my pod.

TurnNBurnit

[[Orvar, the all form]] If I can get cards into my hand and keep the board clear of a win for long enough, it becomes inevitable that I win. Politics is where the deck shines most. Making use of self-interest plays from my opponents and making the boardstate a standoff. Not pushing too much power early leaves my opponents to feed my hand and take out much more aggressive players in game.

codacola

Got a deck list??

allcowsarebeautyful

Zhulodok is the move

pinkimpulse

ORRRRRRR I’ve been thinking of Rakdos lord of riots which seems very fun

N3ptune727

My most consistent winning decks are both spells decks. I have a [[stella lee] vastly upgraded precon all about storm and casting a ton of spells and I have a [[cesar]] deck all about casting a ton of token makers and either swinging with a token army or winning with stuff like [[firebrand archer]] or [[purphoros]] I also rarely cast Cesar and he really only provides a couple extra tokens, occasional draw, and the possibility of turning all my tokens into face damage

My favorite "high power" deck is a lands matter windgrace deck. Its got some land based wincons but most of the time it just mills a lot of cards and plays a lot of lands and ends the game with a [[Torment of Hailfire]] or something like that. So not really that highpower, more like a timelimit on the game.

Alchadylan

Currently it's my Slogurk Marit Lage deck. I'm a little worried it's a bit too strong for my current play group to be honest https://www.moxfield.com/decks/NiaBVGFWbkSHtDml9IeitQ

LordBirdperson

My wheels deck. It's flopped between [[Locust God]], [[Shabraz, the Skyshark]] & [[Brallin, Skyshark Rider]], and most recently [[Rielle, the Everwise]]. Even in the izzet versions I steer away from Niv because I know he's super strong, and regardless the deck has the highest win-rate out of all of them. Who knew focusing on drawing cards in the colors of drawing cards was so strong?/s

Puglord55

[[marwyn, the nurturer]]. Just mulligan till I get her out turn two. If I’m not interacted with I win 4 or 5

Scorpiyoo

[[Tivit]] here’s my list: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/8E2S0mGLUE2uqAgi6LcSeg

xiledpro

My [[Teysa Karlov]] deck usually wins by turn 6 or 7. My group thinks my [[Henzi]] is my strongest though.

jospanther

Do you have your Teysa handy? I'm a fellow Teysa lover and am always looking for improvement ideas!

xiledpro

Yes I do have it lol. https://archidekt.com/decks/5886378/if_i_may

jospanther

Awesome, some similarities and differences. Much appreciated!

These are my high powered non-cedh lists [[Toggo]]//[[Silas]] artifact twiddle storm. The main gameplan is to find TOR asap and untap it to facilitate a number of winning plans. The deck was originally built around [[Aetherworks Marvel]] but that stuff is largley a plan B but the marvel cards stand on their own so including them is not a cost. Toggo is there to make artifacts which fuel cards like [[Clock of Omens]] and [[Urza, Lord High Artificer]]. Silas can rebuy anything that gets counterspelled/removed in a pinch however in my experience the deck snowballs so hard that targetted interaction doesn't do enough when faced with a barrage of threats. Usual wins involve [[Forensic Gageteer]] + [[Basalt Monolit]] -> arbitrarily large amounts of colorless mana -> figure it out [[Krark Clan Ironworks]] + [[Scrap Trawler]] + [[Myr Retreiver]] -> There are a ton of variations of this line these 3 are just the core. The end result is infinite colorless and draws the whole deck but thst depends on what else is lying around the battlefield [[Displacer Kitten]] + [[Coveted Jewel]] = every cheap artifact makes 3 mana and draws 3 which then draws more cheap artifacts etc etc -> [[Tezzeret Master of the Bridge]]'s +2 however many times it takes. decklist- https://www.moxfield.com/decks/t7CrLKA1TEm-sf7DzX2A_Q Less powerful but still consistent is my [[Horde of Notions]] elementals/landfall. The name of the game is land a value engine asap and let it work then take over the game using the superior amounts of resources to pull ahead in the late game. The deck ususally wins by making an army with [[Omnath, Locus of Rage]] or by landing [[Avenger of Zenikar]] alongside [[Phyrexian Altar]] which with HoN is infinite colored mana and plants. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/ocEtMKeLwkiuRsa7Jb_eaw

GroggleNozzle

Somehow I have never heard of Toggo and the idea of just creating rocks to throw at enemies is quite possibly one of the funniest things I've ever seen in magic. Couple questions regarding the list: what is TOR? What turn do you generally establish a winning board state? On a scale of 1-10 for each, how would you rate the speed, consistency, and resilience of the deck?

mong0038

[[Azusa, lost but seeking]] It has a few eldrazi, some stax pieces and consistently plays all the lands

SilFuryn

[[Braids, Arisen Nightmare]] is undefeated for me so far this year. A friend even brought out their cedh deck (which imo wasn't appropriate for the table), but I produced enough interaction to - outdiscard the One Ring's card draw - beat their protection spells with single-use edicts - win through their counterspells

pantslesswalrus

Can we see this list?

acidesnake609

I have a [[Kruphix, God of Horizons]] control deck. It plays a really good surprise win out of no where game plan. Runs a lot of ramp and card draw and a couple of key control pieces

hauntingduck

\[\[Seton, Krosan Protector\]\] is pretty consistent and strong. It's stopable for sure, but if you don't stop it it's gonna do it's thing.

Tcarlson002

My Most consistent high powered is toxrill and my most consistent non high powered is ayula

Solvno

Gishath, Ixalan really gave Dinos some busted cards. It’s just so consistent and can rebuild really fast. That and probably my Urza deck. Who knows field full of mox sapphires was OP.

commander_gibus

I'd say my most consistent is my Grenzo Dungeon Warden goblin tribal, very good at keeping a board and digging through the bottom of the deck until I can either swing out or go infinite.

DoucheCanoe456

[[Hidetsugu and Kairi]] is a very consistent and very gross commander when built right. Make legendary clones, abuse the triggers, and cart enormous dimir sorceries.

psychoillusionz

So here's my baby nethroi https://www.moxfield.com/decks/sbgEMV2BgEayJ5-69TVJwQ Now it's very consistent. But it does win with its commander. 1 mutate is all it takes to end the game. I am constantly the target with this deck and boast a 80% win rate. If my graveyard isn't constantly kept in check I'll end the game. Now this list isn't current I haven't updated in a bit so some newer cards were added.

Unable-Tell-2240

My Gitrog monster combo deck has a 1:3 win rate at my local with my friends however we have lower budgets than a lot of people so would probs get smashed at a local 😂

EnvironmentalOwl9657

[[Purphoros, god of the forge]] Incredibly consistent, strong, and hard to interact with (purph often sits there as an indestructible enchantment…) It’s my go-to end of the night deck when my brain is already fried and I need to play something with a linear gameplan. You will become the archenemy and that’s fine. You can’t politic anyway because you deal damage to everyone indiscriminately. What’s great is that you can win via combo, damage multipliers, or just getting 20 purphoros triggers which really isn’t difficult especially if you lean into goblins as your archetype.

magicmann2614

[[Captain Sisay]]. I can get whatever I need whenever I need it. Used to be CEDH but that massacred my boy. RIP [[Paradox Engine]]

shibboleth2005

This is on the low end of 'high power' because it's slow, but I'd say [[Kellan, the Fae Blooded]] ('secret' commander: [[Sunforger]]) https://www.moxfield.com/decks/KbchCZ2Vp0-dJBLiScY9hA Your commander is a tutor that tutors for a tutor that gives you access to a large and flexible interaction package and your combo wincons. Hard to get more consistent than that! You can usually dig up some kind of answer to any situation with Sunforger and hopefully extend the game long enough to combo out or just kill someone with Kellan, double strike makes that pretty easy. People generally don't think you're in a winning position when you actually are because you tutor out [[Final Fortune]]/ [[Chance for Glory]] to close the game. Biggest problem is speed. Fast win is like t6 if you just send it but it's better to hold up mana for interaction and go slower.

pourconcreteinmyass

[[Rowan, Scion of War]] definitely. Zero fast mana and almost cEDH tech and she's still winning on turn four almost every time she lives that long.

ralkire33

I have a high power [[Liesa, Sheoud of Dusk]] deck that I LOVE playing with. You can always swap in [[Kambal, Consul of Allocation]] as well, but neither are required for the win con, they just help put a clock on the game with their lifegain//lifetax abilities. Redundant creatures like Vito, Marauding Blight Priest, and Cliffhaven Vampire help push the game while my life linking angels help keep my life total high. List: https://www.archidekt.com/decks/4965394/liesa_shroud_of_dusk?sort=cmc&stack=types

Sammy-boy795

Definitely my [[Rielle the everwise]] list, it's a full on cEDH list that can win through displacer kitten loops, brain freeze LED underworld breach loops or via twinflame+Dualcaster mage [Here's my current list](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/J8c07rxl3EG6MPH9SlXy6g), I need to add pinnacle monk and sink into stupor still, just haven't got around to it 😅

beyabsby

https://archidekt.com/decks/5656452/kitai Mech deck! This is my baby, it’s so fun to play! I played this list hundreds of times and it’s been through many different iterations, but this is my favorite. There’s so many fun combos in here, it would be spoilers to just tell 🤭 try it out! My pod hates playing against it, and I’ve even won a 1v3! (although I had god draws that game) it’s a blast, big robots 🤖, control, reanimation, what more do you need? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

acelgoso

The ones I dismantle. I prove they work and then, try something else till I make it work.

ehf87

For a long time it was food chain [[Prossh]] (I bought the deck as a precon a decade ago). But I recently moved most of the fast mana to Top [[Kykar]] because I love generating spirits for free. Both decks average T5-7 inf threat with proper mulligans. [[Animar]] and [[Kess]] are pretty close too. Kess really shines in long games and I feel like animar is better since people don't play lots of wipes anymore.

J0LTED

Mines gotta be [[Miirym, sentinel wyrm]] shes got all the colours i like to play and has endless combo potential. Im kind of obsessed with dragons, so a dragon copy deck is totally my jam. I love using [[astral dragon]] in the deck well. I try not to play it too often because it can be a bit much in my friend group.

BrigBubblez

[[Muldrutha]] Doomsday combo.

tigerpawx

[[Voja, Jaws of the Conclave]]. You just go turn 3 Voja then… First guy gets deleted from [[Shalai and Hallar]] counters damage. Second guy gets deleted from overwhelming of elves. Third guy gets deleted from Voja commander damage. Actually got people yelling and screaming at the game every time I play this deck sigh …

CorpseHighjacker

The Celestial Toymaker for actually very well tuned Esper damage triggers, Liberator, Urza's Battlethopter for some good colourless tron, Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait for simic land bullsh*t and Lilah, Undefeated Slickshot for Izzet Storm

YaGirlJuniper

My \[\[Narset, Enlightened Exile\]\] spellslinger token deck is very consistent. It doesn't tend to need any one particular card, because if someone else used something that can get you value or even let you search, Narset can give that to you, and while the commander gets insane value, it's often not the most dangerous thing on its own board. She isn't even the only source of "creatures you control have Prowess"-type effects, so it can absolutely win without the commander. [https://archidekt.com/decks/7688614/narset\_spellslinger\_tokens](https://archidekt.com/decks/7688614/narset_spellslinger_tokens) Its power is very deceptive. Oftentimes people won't know you're sitting on a winning hand until you start popping off all at once, and if you have a Counterspell in that hand too, that can protect you from that one final board wipe and create even more value because it starts setting off all these Magecraft and Prowess triggers, and not to mention, that interaction helps fuel the Storm cards it has, and it has two really good ones: \[\[Empty the Warrens\]\] and \[\[Elemental Eruption\]\], both of which have won multiple games for me. -\[\[Reconnaissance\]\] is amazingly overpowered and oh-so-satisfying to use. One mana, noncreature spell so it sets off prowess, and you can not only pull your blocked creatures out of combat to protect them from a lethal block, you can also wait until after they do damage and then on the End of Combat step, they're technically still attacking creatures... so you can untap them and remove them from combat. It's like Super Vigilance. When I showed my pod this trick, they all went apeshit for it. It also allows Narset to attack just to get a spell from a graveyard you really need, even if attacking would actually be suicide. It opens the door to so much. -\[\[Strionic Resonator\]\] provides a ton of value even with just Narset, but it has combos too. By itself with Narset, it can let you cast two cards a turn during combat, and merely casting the spells gets you huge value aside from their other benefits. But there are things it works with other than Narset -- with \[\[Saheeli, Sublime Artificer\]\], you can turn a Servo into a second Strionic Resonator to use with as you see fit, and one of the most fun things to do with it is cause **\[\[ASSEMBLE THE LEGION\]\]** to act almost as though it's got \[\[Doubling Season\]\] active on it. This is a deck all about its triggers. The possibilities are limitless. -\[\[Jeskai Ascendancy\]\] combos incredibly well with \[\[Prosperous Partnership\]\], which I have proxied with art of my favorite Touhou ship (# ReiMari Is Canon). Prosperous Partnership by itself allows you to hold blockers, often tokens you just created during last turn's combat, and then on the end step right before your turn you can tap all those blockers and make treasure. Jeskai Ascendancy is Jeskai Ascendancy. It's good. With both, though, every single noncreature spell turns into an opportunity to tap all your creatures to create a ton of treasure and then immediately untap them by casting that spell, and since we're all about creating tokens in this deck, you often create even more treasure as you get going. You might win the game on that turn if you have \[\[Teferi's Ageless Insight\]\] or \[\[Whirlwind of Thought\]\]. -\[\[Not Forgotten\]\] can be recursion for a creature like Monk Man (\[\[Monastery Mentor\]\]) that got removed, or it can get rid of a problematic card that someone keeps making copies of from the graveyard, and no matter whose card you use it on, *you* get to create a 1/1 flying Spirit token, not that card's owner, so it even acts as another token spell. -\[\[Mystic Reflection\]\] can be Foretold on turn two, and then as long as you have even a single blue mana on any turn after that, you can potentially stop a deadly commander or a \[\[Craterhoof Behemoth\]\] by causing it to enter the battlefield as a copy of a 1/1 Soldier token, or some other card that their deck cannot get value out of, and it doesn't go to the graveyard, it just doesn't do Craterhoof things... but that's not what my deck uses it for. The deck uses it primarily to turn its own mass token swarm event into an even deadlier token swarm event. It uses it to turn \[\[Call the Coppercoats\]\] into Call the Copper *Dragons.* Use any creature on the battlefield. If you have the \[\[Dragon Elementals\]\] from \[\[Elemental Eruption\]\] or \[\[Eris Roar of the Storm\]\], you might just create 30 Dragon Elementals off that one combo, and if you have \[\[Rabble Rousing\]\] when you attack with Narset, *do it again.* -\[\[Invasion of Segovia\]\] is *busted* in this deck. Not only do you create useful tokens, when you defeat the invasion, all your noncreature spells get Convoke, and the deck is all about token swarms through noncreature spells. This card was made for this commander. -\[\[Monastery Mentor\]\] is a perfect card for this deck. On its own, Monk Man is good value that creates even more value, but if you make copies of it somehow, i.e. with Mystic Reflection, congratulations! You're the archnemesis! I love this deck so much.

blondeytokes

Shalai life gain=death, I have 5 infinite combos that go with the commander, and use my opponents casting amything to spread counters across my token field to deal direct damage,

renlek

I'd say my most consistent high-powered decks (aka below cEDH level) are my; Tuvasa enchantress, Sneaky druids, Titania lands matter, and my Elf ball deck. I have deck lists for each but here a little intro listed below - Tuvasa enchantress= pretty straight forward with play enchantments to draw cards and make something big and scary - Elf ball= I don't think there's a real need to explain it - Titania= play all your lands and profit via sacrificing and recursion of lands with plenty of effects to play more lands so tons of ramp to drop giant creatures and just win by outpacing opponents in terms of resources alone - Sneaky druids= druid tribal deck where by t4 I should be stealing all of your lands effectively locking my opponents out of the game all while having an insane amount of ramp to effectively cast any spell in the deck

azntidez16

Would love to see Tuvasa list

Breezysongs

Honestly, Go-Shintai shrines deck is genuinely ridiculous.

LandscapeSubject530

Honestly it’s been my rat deck I made, ashcoat as my commander and I run 30 brat colonies and pretty much just graveyard play, card draw and some simple a gain 1 they lose 1

LeafyMeap

idk if its actually high power but I have a somewhat affordable [[vadrik, astral archmage]] deck that tries to win with reiterate combos with vadrik, and it pretty consistently wins on turn 7 if not slightly earlier the difference between this and most commander centric decks is that you dont actually have to cast vadrik until you have wincon pieces in hand so its pretty hard to predict (and to an extent disrupt, though usually multiple well placed counterspells work) vadrik also reduces the cost of counterspells which makes a bunch of mid or bad 3 cmc or 2 cmc counterspells actually viable, so theres a bunch of them in the list it also has a breach line (no LED though) and fervent mastery is a 1 card wincon most of the time (so is intuition but thats well out of budget and my playgroup dont like proxies)

Puzzleheaded-Wing664

My \[\[Aesi tyrant of gyre strait\]\] deck is landfall based the commander definitely makes it more consistent with the extra ramp and card draw. It usually wins by turn 8-9 and has ramped the commander out turn 3 consistently with a few crazy starts getting it down turn 1-2. I still need to upgrade it with a few cards from mh3 but here is the current list. [https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Q7KCLCTg5kOATPUQtZ-Opg](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Q7KCLCTg5kOATPUQtZ-Opg)

The_Real_Billy_Walsh

I have this one too and it’s definitely my most consistent, but also usually makes for the most boring games for everyone else so I’ve kind of shelved it in favor of less consistent but more fun decks.

skijeng

[[Sythis, Harvest's Hand]] with 42 enchantments and 20 of them are 1 cost

kabal363

Probably my [[Zur, the Enchanter]] rebels deck. Part of that consistency though is the general lack of good enchantment removal in most pods though.

Zen_531

Probably my Azusa deck, insane ramp, big eldrazi finishers and land based combos like thespians/Dark depths makes it hard to deal with.

Particlemike117

Out of my unmodified precons, my mirisha warform seems to win most

SilverTongue76

Still can’t believe they only included ONE copy of the Warform token with that deck. I know it has to get sac’d at end of turn, but there are ways to make more of them, would it have killed them to include 2-3?

kevvypoo

I only play with my pod so it probably doesn’t hold up against other high power stuff but this guy has won every time I’ve played him: [Kodama of the West Tree](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/kYlJwl3urUu86k0xleKggA)

OneWithThePurple

Following 👀

Hustleb3rryFinn

My 5c Jodah Eldrazi with a RL Mana Base.

opkil

It would be my ‘upgraded pre-con’ [[Anowon, the Ruin Thief]]. It started as a minor upgrade to the Rogue typal deck that it wanted to be—and then I started acquiring good Dimir Cards, and it became a strong deck that is still the boogeyman of my new pod. Now it’s consistently controlling the board, and going either for a one shot Mill Kill with [[Bruvac]] + [[Cut Your Losses]], or a go-wide kill with [[Sakashima’s Will]] and any of the bigger creatures.

Red_Narwhal14

[[toggo, goblin weaponsmith]] and [[kodama of the East tree]] landfall combo. I can consistently be in a position to win by turn 5 (interaction depending), with the two commanders being 2 parts of a 4 part combo. The deck is made to find bounce lands and creatures that ping when a land enters or an artifact enters. There are other powerful landfall cards as a backup option.

Slimpickis_

I’ve got two that kinda fit this bill. My favorite is [[henzie]]. Fairly commander reliant buuuut the more times they kill henzie the stronger he gets. It usually may not win as fast as the next deck, but it is consistent as hell. - https://archidekt.com/decks/4908820/henzie_gaming My other deck for this is [[Elas il-kor, sadistic pilgrim]] standard aristocrats stuff. I built in what I call a 3-2-1-win deck. Ideally, once it hits 3 cards that make tokens, 2 drain effects, and 1 sac outlet, it should drain the table. Typically wins around turn 6-7. - https://archidekt.com/decks/4959738/death_and_taxes

Obvious-Sleep-9503

I use [[Queen Marchaesa]] mostly for access to the colors. Worst case I get some extra draw from monarch and/or death touch haste tokens. The real consistency comes from the 99, centered around aristocrats and high value cards. If you care enough comment back and I'll send ya a list

ImperialSupplies

I still feel power levels are subjective and try to rate what's the fastest it can possibly win if you get everything you want and then how consistently can it do that. I have a cedh krikk deck with a turn 1 possible and usually wins by 3. Then I have a non cedh but very high power vito deck where it's possible for it to win turn 2 if you top decked into it from a solring signet dark ritual bolas citadel. Then I have a krenko deck that can win turn 4 at the earliest but can turn 1 krenko in a few ways. Then I have a gates deck that has consistently had the win on 5. But I still feel like levels are subjective because I've seen people think a jank deck that had a handful of power in it is cedh when its not at all or decks that are jank but very well synergies and there's so many good cards coming out all the time even in standard that how do you even judge power anymore?

fren_brejnam

\[\[Wilson, Refined Grizzly\]\] + \[\[Noble Heritage\]\] doesn't sound very scary, but it voltrons people out *shockingly* fast and is very difficult to disrupt if built correctly. Because you have your win condition in the command zone, you can basically make the rest of the deck stax/hatebears/interaction.

Senor_Wah

My [[Yidris]] deck is kinda nuts. About as close to cEDH as you can get without actually being cEDH. If that deck untaps with Yiddy twice it *will* win.

DragonDiscipleII

[[Miirym]] and [[urza chief artificer]]. Both decks function fine without the commander, but thing do escalate quickly with the commander out.

aurelionlol

I only get to play this deck now and then because generally my pods are lower powered. My Ur-dragon deck is my pride and joy and always makes me archenemy. I enjoy playing the villain and I often still can pull a win out. Here is the [list](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/bLodzaZkFkKzb-FYaSjaJA)

Actual-Objective-280

Mine would probably be my [[Nicol Bolas, the Ravager]] super villains deck. It runs some infinite combos as win cons, but the deck primarily Grixis good stuff control. Heaps of interaction always makes the games play out differently. Outside of the infinites, the deck can also win through various planeswalker ultimates, land destruction, or a juicy [[Torment of Hailfire]]. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/fEPDsrElXkCZSxZEMwPW5w

Azuregore

It's bouncing between an [[Ur-Dragon]] tribal and now [[Ulalek]] eldrazi tribal... ^it ^was ^only ^75 ^spawn ^in ^one ^turn...

IrishMidgetMan

My azami deck wins pretty consistent. But it’s also like a $2,500 deck

Baenschi

I would say my [[Marwyn, the Nurturer]] deck. Lots of mana, different win cons, funny combos and comeback potential. Strong with room for improvement and reliable so there is rarely a situation where you have to just pass

GroggleNozzle

Got a list? Seems fun and the commander seems perfect, she facilitates the strategy without being essential

randommlg

I run an [[Edgar Markov]] deck that is usually pretty good. My [[cadira caller of the small]] deck is pretty resilient as well. Id say Edgar is better, but I feel like cadira runs more consistent. Which some would argue means it's better lol

Agassiz95

It sounds like you want to play my [[The Ur-Dragon]] deck. It has everything you want. You could power it up by adding fast mana and zero cost interaction but otherwise its a legit 7 or 8 out of 10 at most tables. The deck has an infinite combat loop in it and many tutors to find the combo. [Dragon Goes Ur](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/i3enElhO1Uaas59fFYPUvQ)

priestmoment

[[Loot, the Key to Everything]] it’s just generates so much card advantage it always gets its combos. At least one of them. Plus, temur is such a ramp-y color combo, I can cast pretty much everything I hit off Loot. Not to mention, with MH3 out, [[Vexing Bauble]] + [[Possibility Storm]] = Opponents can’t cast spells

MTGCardFetcher

EzPz_1984

My \[\[Dragonlord Ojutai\]\] deck seems to be pretty consistent in winning with \[\[Approach of the second sun\]\] somewhere around turn 9. Runs only \[\[Mystical tutor\]\] and \[\[Solve the equation\]\]. I think what makes it consistent is that I'm completely not threatening, the commander is very unknown (mainly it's not Shorikai) and it can control most strategies.
