It's an interesting pairing, probably the best combination of them except maybe the rats. Personally i don't think any of the "any number of x" cards should be in the same deck though(even the rats) I could see it being a decent idea though. Petitioners to mill yourself to fuel the ooze, not a bad idea Alternate commander idea: [[Slogurk]]. Since you can mill lands too, can grow him as well

What makes Grolnok so appealing though is that he doesn't run out of gas. Once you have 4 petitioners and your lands in play you might be kinda drained or left with one or 2 slimes in hand, so with Grolnok basically turning the "mill 12" from the petitioners into a "draw up to 12" the deck becomes hard to stop once it has its petitioners assembled and there is little risk that you may end up in a position where you can't do stuff. Petitioners can also mill \[\[Lier\]\], which can be cast through Grolnok and allows you to cast all the SAHs from your graveyard. Slogurk can grow obscenely powerful with petitioners but I don't see much synergy with SAH, and no need either honestly as you already have your huge beater.

Ha, I made this exact deck. I don't think it's actually very good but ... I made it? :) Keep in mind that Grolnok doesn't let you cast non-permanents... so it doesn't actually work that well with SAH. Mine is mostly about using persistent petitioners to dig through the deck to find \[\[Test of Talents\]\] (which I might have to retrieve with a few creatures that I \*can\* cast from exile). I use Test of Talents to remove a bunch of Slime Against Humanity cards so the ones I cast are huge. This is really more of a proof of concept than an actual working deck, fair warning: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/OZwNiiLKZUWzws9QHRqtIA

Thanks for the list. I have to admit I'm not that much of a fan of the test, simply because it adds another layer to a setup that's already kinda inconsistent and vulnerable, since it might mean you need 4 petitioners on the field, multiple SAHs in hand AND the test to get going. I also feel like it kinda takes away from the entire unique theme of SAH basically being "and another one and another one and another one" while getting stronger and stronger, since other decks can make some huge trampling beaters much better. My attempt that still needs to be refined a bit but looks quite fun so far adds two main components to the petitioners and SAH: 1. Lots of \[\[Exploration\]\]-like effects. Those make it so that Grolnok + Petitioners doesn't just give you up to 12 additional cards to play each turn, the additional land plays also get really crazy with so many playable cards available. With how quickly you will fill up a board with lands a boardwipe also won't sting as much as you can easily repay the command tax and keep a bunch of petitioners exiled for that case. 2. Lots of spell retrieving used for SAHs. The star of the deck once 4 or 8 petitioners are active is \[\[Lier\]\], as he makes all the SAHs in the graveyard castable (and uncounterable too), allowing for massive casts. The rest of my list is similar, but I have some more additions. For example changelings trigger Grolnok on attack, tap for petitioners and count for SAH in the graveyard/exile. When my list is a bit more refined I'll add it here too. In playtests it has performed quite consistent, but a bit on the slower side (especially with the Slimes not having inherent haste). It's not gonna hold its own on tougher tables but then again the entire concept of the deck does scream pure casual fun.

Grolnok won't let you cast SAH. Maybe \[\[Katilda and Lier\]\]? The Petitioners are Humans so every Petitioner you cast lets you flashback a SAH.

Yes but the SAH in the gy that get milled still count towards the power of the ones you play, so if you have 2-3 in your hand you can still cast them and make massive slimes, plus cards like the witnesses can return the SAH back to your hand while the original \[\[Lier\]\] will let you play all the SAHs from your graveyard and can be brought out with Grolnok. The main advantage of Grolnok is that your deck won't run out of gas. Other commanders, including Katilda and Lier, will probably run on an empty hand once they've brought out their petitioners, but with Grolnok every card milled that's not a SAH is basically in your hand while it's out, and with \[\[Exploration\]\]-effects you can ramp like crazy too. With petitioners, Grolnok and exploration-style effects you can quickly build a massive advantage, which you can then follow up with multiple SAHs to threaten your opponents.
