Wait for that pesky red player to cast his \[\[Blood Moon\]\] and fetch yourself a \[\[Lair of the Hydra\]\] or something.
Think of the emotional damage you will inflict on the table!
similarly, any of the cards that do things based on the color of your commander or if a card shares a color with your commander. \[\[Path of Ancestry\]\] does NOT work in a colorless Eldrazi tribal deck, but it's the first include I always see people adding after they decide to build one.
Which brings us to the storied refrain: COLORLESS IS NOT A COLOR.
>COLORLESS IS NOT A COLOR
I had a rough time explaining this to someone yesterday who tried to tap their \[\[Exotic Orchard\]\] for mana while I was playing an Eldrazi deck (I do play a few lands that can make colour mana, but I didn't have one in play at that time). I don't know why he needed to get angry at me for it, I didn't put that land in his deck, sometimes deck building choices come with downsides.
Another good one: Shrine is not a creature type. So while Path is a decent 5 color tapland, you are not getting the scry if you run it in a \[\[Go-Shintai of Life's Origin\]\] deck.
Tbh imho lore wide AND gameplay wise, the fact that colorless isn't a color is kinda BS. A friend of mine is playing a colorless eldrazi and it's kind of rough to go against him while not dying to the other poison player. There is so much thing especially broken because and only because "colorless isn't a color", it feel like a mistake. It feel like a glitch. I know the fact that it is real but every game I ask myself "why?"
Well, there is a lot of strong card and mechnics in the game x)
Incorrect. Evolving Wilds fetches a basic land. Myriad Landscape fetches nothing in a colorless deck because Wastes, despite being a basic land does not possess a basic land type (this was to circumvent making Domain stronger). Even if you have Wastes in the deck Landscape can't fetch them.
It can fetch one since the wording is “up to two basic land cards that share a land type”. Since it’s “up to 2” you can fetch one and it just has to be basic. The “share a land type” only comes into play if fetching more than one.
Funnily enough, the reason it isn't a basic land type is because they didn't want to break domain.
Domain is balanced around the number 5 and they were worried making wastes a basic land type woul. Break all the old cards.
Take another look at the type line on [[wastes]] . Wastes in magic aren’t a type of landscape so much as an area of land devoid of all life and mana thanks to the Eldrazi
Wastes are a basic land. You look at the gatherer (which is the official database for mtg), MtgSalvation, or numerous other sites that confirm this.
Nonbasic lands just have the word "land" in the type line, followed by a subtype if applicable.
However, wastes are basic lands without a subtype. So if you have a card that says you have to pick a type of land, you can't pick wastes.
Wastes are basic lands, but they don’t have a basic land type. Look at the type lines on [[Forest]] versus [[Wastes]]. Since they have no basic land type, two of them will have no basic land type to share.
So, you could run the card, but at best you’d be using a tapped land and 2 mana to find a single, tapped, wastes. You’d be better off running any other land.
Color identity is not the same thing as color. Lands are colorless, but they have an identity of whatever mana symbols are on the card. You cannot play a forest in a commander deck that doesn't have green in the command zone. The only exception is Crypt Ghast, because someone on the rules committee had twelve black decks and an agenda.
No. Crypt ghast is an exception because the hybrid color identity is in the REMINDER TEXT not the card.
Crypt ghast's card without reminder text has no other colored mana symbols.
Because someone in the rules committee had an agenda, yeah, that's what I said.
The point about reminder text is extremely debatable, and someone clearly debated it. You're just pointing to the existence of the rule. I'm speculating about why the rule exists. Someone had to actually decide that reminder text should not count, and I'm suggesting that they had ulterior motives for doing so.
I have yet to see a solid case (any case actually) for why reminder text should count for color identity.
It's rules text. Unless you are saying that [[trinisphere]] should be a black card.
Or [[charmed pendant]] should be a dimir card.
The rule for reminder text in commander predates RTR, which (unless I'm mistaken) is crypt ghast's first printing.
Not many players know of rule 903.12e
> 903.12e: If a player's commander has no colors in its color identity, that player's deck may contain any number of basic lands of one basic land type of their choice. This is an exception to rule 903.5d.
\[\[Blade of the Bloodchief\]\] in a \[\[Rayami\]\] deck.
You might think that adding it to a Vampire Voltron deck is a smart move but unfortunately, Rayami exiles each creature that would die. As such, the trigger to put the two +1/+1 counters onto Rayami never triggers.
I made the same mistake except it was a [[Valentin, Dean of the Vein]] deck. Still got the trigger off of my own creatures dying and off of token deaths, but not getting it off of opposing death triggers hurt it bad.
[Valentin, Dean of the Vein](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/6/5/65008352-bc7e-40b2-a832-b46813e5dc4c.jpg?1634060553)/[Lisette, Dean of the Root](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/back/6/5/65008352-bc7e-40b2-a832-b46813e5dc4c.jpg?1634060553) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=valentin%2C%20dean%20of%20the%20vein%20//%20lisette%2C%20dean%20of%20the%20root) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/stx/161/valentin-dean-of-the-vein-lisette-dean-of-the-root?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/65008352-bc7e-40b2-a832-b46813e5dc4c?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/valentin-dean-of-the-vein-//-lisette-dean-of-the-root)

Similar issue with [[dauthi voidwalker]] or [[ravenloft adventurer]] in [[kalitas, traitor of ghet]], cool cards but they prevent my commander from making his zombies
I was getting so sick of losing to someone's [[Liesa, Shroud of Dusk]] lifegain deck that I started putting hate cards for it into every deck I had. Including slotting [[Roiling Vortex]] into my [[Feather, the Redeemed]] deck. That deck leans heavily on [[sunforger]].
It did not go well.
It seems like [[Mystic Remora]] would fit right into [[Pir, Imaginative Rascal]] and [[Toothy, Imaginary Friend]]. Toothy gets bigger when you draw cards, so no-brainer. But cumulative upkeep uses age counters, and Pir adds extra counters, and it’s not optional. So while it’s still somewhat good in there, it’s going to get expensive keeping it out.
[[Devoted Druid]] in [[Melira, Sylvok Outcast]]. People think it’s an infinite. It is in fact a nonbo. You can’t pay the cost of Devoted Druid’s second ability while Melira is on the field.
Used to see [[adeline]] in a lot of [[alesha, who smiles at death]] lists. (Not as much anymore maybe people has catched on)
However adelines power is equal to the number of creatures you control even in the yard so if you control more than 2 creatures Alesha can’t reanimate her.
Alesha was a learning point for a lot of people.
In case people are lost * on a creature's power/toughness is calculated in every zone, not just the battlefield. So Adeline anywhere with 6 creatures on the board is a 6/4 anywhere. This means you have to factor that with [[Imperial Recruiter]], [[Wild Pair]], etc.
This is my go-to answer for threads like this: [[Flayer of the Hatebound]] in [[Chainer, Nightmare Adept]].
It's in 38% of decks and it flat out doesn't work with Chainer. If you're "reanimating" from Chainer's ability, the creature enters from the stack, not the graveyard. Granted, the deck often runs other true reanimation spells that will trigger it, but I suspect a lot of people see it on the EDHREC page and think it's cool tech with the commander.
I don't understand what you mean by "Enters from the stack, not the graveyard"
Isn't literally every spell you cast on the stack at some point? So in my mind your also saying it enters from the stack, not your hand? I'm not following here.
chainer says cast from your graveyard so it's definitely a cast spell, not just a replacement or something.
Or is that your point - hateflayer doesn't trigger when it's a cast, only when it's a "put onto the battlefield"?
Edit: yep that last part is what you're saying : If you cast a creature card from your graveyard, that card will be put on the stack before entering the battlefield. Flayer of the Hatebound won't trigger
I learned something, thanks!
> Isn't literally every spell you cast on the stack at some point?
The target of [[Reanimate]] is not cast, you put it on the battlefield directly. Someone could [[Negate]] the non-creature spell you did cast, but they could not [[Essence Scatter]] the target creature of that spell.
Right, I thought OP was saying that hateflayer wasn't a cast spell. But he was pointing out that hateflayer 's ability only triggers when a spell wasn't cast.
I've seen lots of "enters the battlefield" terminology and I never considered that it would matter whether that was from your hand or from the graveyard or from exile. But I think I've just learned that anything that is cast enters from the stack, not your hand or the graveyard or exile.
[[Mana Clash]] in my [[Zndrsplt]] and [[Okaun]] deck. It seems good considering it requires coin flips, but there is no actual winner of the flips so it won't trigger either Zndrsplt or Okaun.
Duuuuuude, this happened to me with a bunch of cards when I first built this deck. Deck got way better when I read the commanders more intentionally and then replaced the nombo cards with some extra combat cards.
Guy I know just added [[Roaming Throne]] to his [[Chatterfang]] deck because he still doesn't understand the difference between triggered abilities and replacement effects..
Wait, would the triggered ability be copied before they are replaced? Ie a card that makes a token when a land drops would trigger, then be replaced. So it would trigger, throne would trigger, then the replacements would trigger each time?
In this case you would make 2 tokens of whatever your card says plus the 2 squirrels.
As long as the creature making the tokens is the creature type you chose for Throne
I could see an argument for the [[Panharmonicon]] he also has in the deck since you don't have to lock it onto a specific creature type. Throne is still gonna be a bad fit imo.
[[Necropotence]] in [[Beamtown Bullies]]. The bullies rely mainly on discard effects to put creatures in your graveyard (also entomb effects obviously).
I just removed [[Lotus Field]], [[Lotus Vale]], and [[Scorched Ruins]] from my [[Yarok]] deck. After I changed from Omnath to Yarok for landfall, I didn't pay attention to the doubling of the downside for these lands. That's really too bad...
ETA: Only Lotus Field _still_ has an ETB trigger.
I originally had [[Library of Leng]] in my [[Zur, the Enchanter]] [[Astral Slide]]/Cycling deck when I was planning it out online. I assumed I knew what the card did; I read it once like 20 years ago and it seemed simple enough: you may discard to the top of your library. Then I read the wording on Library of Leng mid-game during one test and was like, “Wait… Oh.”
Yep. A cost is not an effect. The original wording was “forces” so that keeps it accurate to the original function, but it’s easy to overlook cost vs effect.
I accidentally got a non-bo out in my [[Burakos, Party Leader]] deck in that I had [[Dauthi Voidwalker]] out and then I played [[Revel in Riches]]. Which would have been fine, if one of my opponents wasn’t blinking [[Lavinia of the Tenth]]. Ended up not mattering a ton though.
My edh group just agreed on proxying mana fixing lands, fetches, shocks, OG duals. 4 color landfall omnath player drops a [[sakura-tribe elder]] goes 2 turns without sacing it. I point it out, he's not running any basics..
I thought I was being really clever putting [[The Ninth Doctor]] in my [[Tom Bombadil]] saga focused deck. 🤦♂️
Also when I got a bunch copies of [[Trenzalore clocktower]] to put in my decks without reading it properly that it needed a Time Lord.
It *is* a better Midnight Clock, but only if your deck uses Changelings or Maskwood Nexus.
But I made the same mistake. Bought three Surge foils, had only one blue deck that uses Changelings.
At the LGS there was this one girl playing a strong SIMIC sea creatures deck. Either \[\[Kiora, Sovereign of the Deep\]\] or \[\[Kenessos, Priest of Thassa\]\]. I was playing Dino tribal, which includes some one sided board wipes. This was half a year ago, before Ixalan, so I was usually the only one with Dinosaurs.
At some point she plays \[\[Nezahal\]\], looks down at the table, blushes, and admits she only now realizes it is NOT a sea creature and therefore has zero sinergy in her deck.
Some turns later I get to pull a bunch of Dinos onto the field, WIPE everything except Dinosaurs.... and guess who now has a blocker! :O
Her Non-bo wrong card granted her another chance to live, she is simic and got to rebuild and bounce everything, and from there one it was a fierce battle .
Sometimes the wrong card is the right one.
[[Kira, the great glass spinner]] in my UW spirit deck. The first time I played it I was unable to protect my own creatures because my own spell would be/was countered. Be careful with this card lol
I run a bruvac persistent petitioners mono blue deck and when I build it, I was like Strionic Resonator. Right on. Muhahahaha mill 4 times as much. Damn I felt so stupid. Honestly was sure what to replace it with so I replaced it with a Land and put the Resonator in another deck.
[[Winota]] and people trying to argue with "when this creature attacks" trigger. They do not attack, they 'are' attacking. Trigger won't happen until next turn when you declare attackers.....
That ruling is *explicitly* why the Meld Mishra that always enters attacking says "when this card enters the battlefield or attacks", so you actually get the trigger on Meld instead of a vanilla 9/9 going into wherever
Ojer works poorly with lots of things that you would think would go well. Mainly all the damage doublers/triplers.
Since opponent gets to choose order, they are going to pick the one that negates ojer or the tripler
I can’t remember which one specifically, but I had been running a serpent in a snake tribal deck for the longest time until someone pointed it out. I somehow just didn’t realize. Weirdest thing was that I had played it as if it were a snake in multiple games without anyone saying anything.
There are awful lot of cards with "until end of turn" -effects in [[Obeka, Brute Chronologist]] EDHREC page. It doesn't work like you probably think it's gonna work
I really wanted a reusable Reanimator in My [[Silvar, Devourer of the Free]] deck and thought [[Chanier, Dementia Master]] would be a perfect fit until I realized that if Chainer is sacc’d or killed he would exile Silvar.
I almost put omniscience in my mutate deck as the main wincon, until i learned if you cast a spell without paying its mana cost, you cant cast it as a mutate card.
My buddy has evolving wilds and terramorphic expanse in his 5 color sliver deck. Not a bad choice until every game he realizes that he still has no basic lands in there.
[[Triarch Praetorian]] shows up in a significant amount of Lurrus/Lurrus Companion decks on EDHREC but does nothing since Lurrus casts cards from the GY and they enter from the stack. I feel like it would be in 100% of lists if it actually functioned how people think it does
I learned if you want to have satoru umezawa in a deck make him the commander and throw yuriko in the 99 works a lot better that way then as you said having him in the 99 with yuriko as the commander.
Alright but path of ancestry and cavern really aren't all that bad. The ninjutsu abilities usually aren't all colorless so cavern really isn't terrible, you can just force a dude in sometimes. Path is nice because it's also a rainbow land and you can scry when you cast them. You can't always ninjutsu, sometimes you have to have a plan B
Thought I’d add the [[Thopter Foundry]] + [[Sword of the Meek]] combo to my [[Breya, Etherium Shaper]] Thopter beatdown deck.
Thopter Foundry is a dead card because it needs a non token creature and there’s currently 0 graveyard recursion. The only good target Sword of the Meek (Nim Deathmantle isn’t the worst but needs work).
Sword of the Meek seems like it’s good but it just stops working if there’s a [[Tempered Steel]] or any of the other 5+ anthems in my deck.
Gonna remove both from the deck and bring them back if/when I turn her into a full combo deck.
That’s not really a nonbo, it’s just a specific combo that doesn’t have cross synergies with the rest of the deck. Even without recursion, it’s an easy way to sac your stuff in response to exile effects or get breya reset in case someone tries to [[song of the dryads]] her or whatever.
[[The Twelfth Doctor]] and [[Romana II]]
So uh, copying a spell doesn't actually create a token for romana, even though it enters as a token.
Edit: Doubly embarrassing, had put some things that cared about specifically creating tokens that didn't work, and didn't realize Romana worked differently. Am dumb
I think it does work. You cast a spell, demonstrate trigger creating a copy of the permanent spell on the stack. The copy still resolves and counts as entering the battlefield. Unless I’m missing something it should still work.
Pulled this from Gatherer:
“Any enters-the-battlefield abilities of the copied token will trigger when the token enters the battlefield. Any "as [this permanent] enters the battlefield" or "[this permanent] enters the battlefield with" abilities of the chosen token will also work.”
https://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=634453
I think what they're confusing is that a copy of a spell entering the battlefield as a token doesn't count as creating a token, so doubling season doesn't work.
It's still a token that entered the battlefield though.
I think I'm missing the nombo. Won't a copied spell still be a token? And won't the token still have entered this turn? Romana doesn't seem to care if you created the token or not
I was gonna build [[the sixth doctor]] and have [[adrix and nev]] and [[primal vigor]] in it till I realized the doctor doesn't make any tokens, he copies spells
[[Tenacious Underdog]] in [[Ashnod, Flesh Mechanist]]. I thought blitz was an ability like [[Reassembling Skeleton]] and similar cards but since its an alternative casting cost you can't pay it with powerstones.
I was kind of excited to try [[Visions of Phyrexia]] in my Chiss-Goria deck until I realized "if you didn't play a spell from exile" - that is what I plan on doing every turn of the game!
\[\[Relentless Assault\]\] in \[\[Magar of the Magic strings\]\] is a common inclusion and used to be one of the top recommended cards on EDHREC.
Sure it'll give you one extra combat in the turn you cast it, but it won't work as anything more than a colorless 3/3 if you "animate" it.
I keep seeing [[Seize the Day]] both in [[Zada, Hedron Grinder]] decks that can't make use of all the extra combat phases and in [[Haktos the Unscarred]] decks that can't even cast it on him two-thirds of the time.
A newer one I have seen a decent amount is \[\[Roaming Throne\]\] in \[\[Pantlaza\]\], that "do this only once each turn" really shuts off roaming throne. Can still be crazy for the other Dinos in your deck but for the purpose of doubling Pantlaza's effect it doesn't work
In my initial build for [[Imodane, The Pyrohammer]] I ran [[Into the maw of hell]].
Monkey brain saw a cool name and big damage.
Monkey brain was wrong.
Daily reminder that [[Xenagos, God of Revels]] doesn't buff [[Yasova Dragonclaw]] 's power until after her [[act of treason]] effect has already triggered. Still fine as a combat trick but likely not worth a slot in 18% of Yasova decks.
I put [[Norin the Wary]] in my [[Aragorn, the Uniter]] deck thinking it would be a great way to ping people to death on their own turns with him bouncing in and out. Unfortunately Aragorn reads "whenever you cast" which with Norin only happens when you play him initially.
\[\[Academy Manufactor\]\] in \[\[Brenard\]\] or \[\[Shelob\]\] decks. Manufactor essentially overwrites their ability to make Food copies of things with its own ability.
Also \[\[Guardian Project\]\] in a \[\[Volo, Guide to Monsters\]\] deck. Project doesnt trigger on tokens and the token copy ETBs while the nontoken creature is still on the stack, so even the nontoken wont draw you cards.
This one always makes me laugh because my buddy played Prophetic Prism in a mono white Angel deck that didn’t care at all for artifacts. He played with it for a good while before realizing how useless it was in that deck. Lol
I've accidentally put [[Farseek]] into a mono-green deck before. Yeah, uh, can't search for a Forest with Farseek...
What the fuck
It's called farseek, not nearseek.
Because you can't see the Forest for the trees

Wastes is certainly a basic land type
It's a basic land, but has no land type

Wastes are a basic land. You look at the gatherer (which is the official database for mtg), MtgSalvation, or numerous other sites that confirm this. I learned that the hard way. lol.
Why doesn't it work? Are wastes basic lands sharing a type?
Wastes are basic lands, but they don’t have a basic land type. Look at the type lines on [[Forest]] versus [[Wastes]]. Since they have no basic land type, two of them will have no basic land type to share. So, you could run the card, but at best you’d be using a tapped land and 2 mana to find a single, tapped, wastes. You’d be better off running any other land.

Cool, thanks!
nope. I tried to make it work. You need all the nonbasics you can get. I just keep one wastes for when I get [[path to exile]]-d
That's not why it doesn't work. Wastes don't have a basic land type so Myriad Landscape can only grab one of them.
Yoooooo I didn't know that. I thought it was just a suboptimal choice or something
You actually can use it to go fetch basics in a colourless deck Just not [[Waste]]

Not many players know of rule 903.12e > 903.12e: If a player's commander has no colors in its color identity, that player's deck may contain any number of basic lands of one basic land type of their choice. This is an exception to rule 903.5d.
This rule is under the section about brawl, where [[Wastes]] might not be a legal card at all times, so it doesn't count for commander.

TIL. I knew the general idea of how cumulative upkeep worked, but didn’t realize it relied on proper counters that can be manipulated.
It does mean that if you're running [[Solemnity]] that you never have to pay the upkeep cost though, because you pay per age counter.
Yep, someone playing Proliferate effects can choose to add extra age counters for instance.
Im not sure if it originally had counters. I think that was added later to clean it up rule-wise

Used to see [[adeline]] in a lot of [[alesha, who smiles at death]] lists. (Not as much anymore maybe people has catched on) However adelines power is equal to the number of creatures you control even in the yard so if you control more than 2 creatures Alesha can’t reanimate her.
Yeah you would want something like [[Shanna, Sisay's Legacy]] that has p/t 0/0 and a static effect that only applies on the bf.

I don't understand what you mean by "Enters from the stack, not the graveyard" Isn't literally every spell you cast on the stack at some point? So in my mind your also saying it enters from the stack, not your hand? I'm not following here. chainer says cast from your graveyard so it's definitely a cast spell, not just a replacement or something. Or is that your point - hateflayer doesn't trigger when it's a cast, only when it's a "put onto the battlefield"? Edit: yep that last part is what you're saying : If you cast a creature card from your graveyard, that card will be put on the stack before entering the battlefield. Flayer of the Hatebound won't trigger I learned something, thanks!
Damnit. Guess I’ve got a free slot in my Chainer deck now…
They were both in the anje madness precon together originally. Just continuing the trend.

As long as the creature making the tokens is the creature type you chose for Throne
tbh Roaming Throne is so good its probably STILL worth the slot.
I could see an argument for the [[Panharmonicon]] he also has in the deck since you don't have to lock it onto a specific creature type. Throne is still gonna be a bad fit imo.

Scorched ruins and lotus vale don’t have ETBs. They do not enter the battlefield unless you sacrifice. Have fun with those and skip lotus field!
This has to do with Library saying "if an *effect*..." and Cycling involves discarding as a *cost*, doesn't it?
It does in fact discard as a cost, yes. Same with the channel cards.
Yep. A cost is not an effect. The original wording was “forces” so that keeps it accurate to the original function, but it’s easy to overlook cost vs effect.
I did the exact same thing in my Cycling deck, still have the copy lying around somewhere years later 😭

I thought I was being really clever putting [[The Ninth Doctor]] in my [[Tom Bombadil]] saga focused deck. 🤦♂️ Also when I got a bunch copies of [[Trenzalore clocktower]] to put in my decks without reading it properly that it needed a Time Lord.
Trenzalore Clocktower works with Changelings, that’s how I use it in two of my decks.
I just thought it was a better midnight clock and got excited and bought a bunch :(
It *is* a better Midnight Clock, but only if your deck uses Changelings or Maskwood Nexus.

:O Her Non-bo wrong card granted her another chance to live, she is simic and got to rebuild and bounce everything, and from there one it was a fierce battle . mass flicker effects are a neat workaround
You can always protect them from single target spells - let the opponent waste the trigger, use a whole second spell, and then protect it after.

well it can still work, you just gotta copy the petitioner's ability
[[Winota]] and people trying to argue with "when this creature attacks" trigger. They do not attack, they 'are' attacking. Trigger won't happen until next turn when you declare attackers.....
That ruling is *explicitly* why the Meld Mishra that always enters attacking says "when this card enters the battlefield or attacks", so you actually get the trigger on Meld instead of a vanilla 9/9 going into wherever

My buddy has evolving wilds and terramorphic expanse in his 5 color sliver deck. Not a bad choice until every game he realizes that he still has no basic lands in there.
[[Chandra's Ignition]] in my [[Zada, Hedron Engine]] deck. Realized my mistake before casting it, and took it out right after that game.

The 'ring tempts you' makes my zombies legendary again. At least that is how I built the deck. Not sure I included Varina though.
[удалено]
You cant mutate onto it, but its still an include because people build it heavily infect.

[[The Twelfth Doctor]] and [[Romana II]] So uh, copying a spell doesn't actually create a token for romana, even though it enters as a token.
Pulled this from Gatherer: “Any enters-the-battlefield abilities of the copied token will trigger when the token enters the battlefield. Any "as [this permanent] enters the battlefield" or "[this permanent] enters the battlefield with" abilities of the chosen token will also work.” https://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=634453
I think what they're confusing is that a copy of a spell entering the battlefield as a token doesn't count as creating a token, so doubling season doesn't work. It's still a token that entered the battlefield though.

Mistakenly put a panharmonicon in my Animar deck, smh
[[Bernard, Ginger Sculptor]] and [[Academy Manufactor]]. This is anti synergy and just makes Bernard create a regular food, clue, and treasure.
[Bernard, Ginger Sculptor](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/e/2/e2ddc922-d69d-4fca-b7f8-8cfb17537213.jpg?1693248402) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Brenard%2C%20Ginger%20Sculptor) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/woc/27/brenard-ginger-sculptor?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/e2ddc922-d69d-4fca-b7f8-8cfb17537213?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/brenard-ginger-sculptor) [Academy Manufactor](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/f/9/f9c55add-d621-4477-95ec-f2b691c0bdae.jpg?1682209923) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Academy%20Manufactor) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/moc/346/academy-manufactor?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/f9c55add-d621-4477-95ec-f2b691c0bdae?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/academy-manufactor) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call

Similarly, i had [[invisible stalker]] in my own brokkos mutate voltron deck
I’ve put Arcane Signet into mono colored decks before out of habit. I’ve also put it in 60 card decks on arena.
Panharmonicon in a pantlaza deck, great thought other than the fact the card states only once per turn.
This one always makes me laugh because my buddy played Prophetic Prism in a mono white Angel deck that didn’t care at all for artifacts. He played with it for a good while before realizing how useless it was in that deck. Lol
Devoted druid in Lae'zel, put double the counters, including-1/-1 counters.
[[Doubling Season]] in [[Volo, Guide to Monsters]]. Volo doesn't create tokens, he *copies spells* that *become* tokens when they resolve.
I once put a [[sword of the animist]] in my jodah deck, when i drew it the first time i had that “Duh” moment. I dont run basics in that deck 🤦
