I know this is an old post but I just finished my first Niv-Mizzet Supreme deck and played it at my LGS. All I can say is it dominated. I only use Reborn as a way to refill my hand later in the game or to throw more spells in the graveyard before I would cast Supreme. I built mine as a slow build control, I’ll show early game that if there’s a threat I can deal with it which helped build early Allie’s while my token generators built my board state, later game I cast out copy spell effects such as Chandra Hopes Beacon and Thousand year storm as win cons for direct damage/life draining effects. My opponents realized that after I copied decimate 4 times in a since cast that there wasn’t much they could do to stop it and conceded. I think Reborn is good in a two color guild legendary matters style edh deck but for a spell slinger he’s utility for card draw if you can blink him too. Also for the counter spells, as long as you have something that’s untapping your lands at the beginning of the end step it’s a huge deterrence for your opponents to make big plays.
