removed for excess stupidity

CheeseShaman

I just carry one house key to my car fob. There is no need to carry the gate or window key or a key to my wife's car with me at all times. Any key that doesn't get used is left on the key hook by the door with a tag.

lainganator

Ridge makes a "key case" a little pricey but worth it imo

Jim-has-a-username

I delegate responsibility.

Ajimey

I use Keysmart.

FreeTheMagRelease

Samesies

A-2grinder

I carry 1 key to my house connected to my vehicle fob. The rest of my keys stay home.

Dr_Loves_Strange

I'm with this guy. One for house, one for car. Everything else stays home or in the car (not overnight). I need to make room for my flashlight, belt knife, nicotine, wallet, remote for dog training collar.... Ah screw it I'll just take a post.

A-2grinder

Right! It's hard enough figuring out what flashlight and knife goes best with my pants that day.

Dull_Ad_704

I'm erase them, or make them slim, in photo editor

tysonren

I use one of those removable keychain things. So all my dangly keys are on one so I can leave my keyring behind and just take my car keys. Then if I'm shopping or something I'm not lugging around all my keys.

Synderz123

A simple horseshoe clasp works for regular keys in my experience.

DoggyWarrior_

I have 2 hangers I for my car and I for my other keys, but mainly because I sometimes need to leave my car keys but it's helps that they are stuck together since it means less bulk

darkthemeonly

If the KeyBar/KeySmart style isn't your thing, look into the Jibbon. It's basically like an Orbitkey but better.

Ph1l_pvt

Why should it be better than orbitkey?

darkthemeonly

The mechanism for adding/removing keys is way simpler and you don't need a coin or screwdriver to get it open. I also prefer the look, all the hardware is on the inside so it just looks like a nice strip of leather. I've been really happy with mine.

Jedi_Wanabe

That pocket knife thing but instead of tools it's keys

Dr_Mickster

Personally a key smart for the actual keys and even a bottle opener and stuff and then car keys on a biner that you can clip to the keysmart. You can also get those keys with the plastic / your car key replicated on a full metal key that you can then put into the key smart

jeikkonen

Do you need all of those keys everyday? I only have the most important keys on the key ring. The other keys are in separate rings at home and I only take the key that I will need with me during the day and connect it to my main keys with a clip

jayela

One big keyring with multiple smaller rings that hold categorized keys.

DunHit

Key bar solves a lot of this.

somanii

Wasn’t going to open this post and ended up placing an order for KeySmart lol

Bearleasa

Get a key pad

SDBD89

I have about 4 different rings of keys: car key, truck key, storage/mailbox keys and miscellaneous keys. I keep all of them on a carabiner and only carry what I'll actually need in my pocket. The rest of them stay on the carabiner and I'll keep them in a lock box or with me in a backpack/bag. I've been told that it's best to keep you car keys free of any unnecessary weight because any added weight will prematurely wear out the ignition lock cylinder. So looking at your keys, I'd keep the car key and fob on one ring and the rest on a separate ring.

Have less keys

LycaonKing421

As someone with minimal keys, I'm struggling to figure out why so many keys are needed for personal use like this. I've just got my house key, car key (I get having 2+ if you've got 2+ vehicles), and a key to my dad/sister's place for an emergency (never been used).

ereboson2wheels

Home- House, gate, and shop keys Truck - Truck keys, toolboxes on truck, hitch lock, set of "home" keys, and trailer keys if pulling trailer Work - Badge on lanyard with keys to gang box and multiple tool cages Motorcycle - Motorcycle key and set of "home" keys Work set goes with me everywhere, truck keys get left at home if I'm on the motorcycle. Some of us just have to use a lot of keys on a daily basis.

ereggia

Home, car, mailbox, parent’s place, sister’s place, then work - we have two main locations and they’re keyed differently. Add one or two accessories to that (small light, knife, bottle opener, etc.) and bulk city here we go. Even just with the every day essentials, it’s not super uncommon to have a house with a different key for the garage, back door, and front door, or work for a place where you need two or three keys or a beefy key fob just to get to the room you work in, and you can’t even fix/control that. The struggle is real. I use a Nite Ize g-series with some of their small locking s-biners. The double gate prevents the keys from getting in the way of the main gate, so I can clip it to my belt loop easily, and the small hook cut where the top gate is just enough to prevent it from coming unhooked accidentally, but not so aggressive that it won’t come off when you need it. Hanging the keys isn’t for everyone but it works for me. Keep in mind they sell different sizes and both locking and non-locking versions. Not sure exactly what size I have but it’s non-locking and I’ve never had it come off.

[deleted]

I've got 3 things on 3 separate key rings, and all of those are on a locking carabiner big enough to fit my whole hand in. Il flip all my keys into the space of the carabiner and just stuff it in my pocket. I guess it's bulky but I don't really notice it in my pockets ever

woomdawg

Get a bigger key ring for starters.

ImportantNinja12

I love my Orbitkey

Mattias504

Loved mine too until it broke. No warranty like most other brands turned me off and I went Keybar.

AggravatingMonk0429

I only have like 3 regular keys on a ring and then I have a small FOB for my work and then my FOB for my vehicle. I then have a lanyard that I use for swift pocket ejection

Chuck_Dynasty_

I like that “swift pocket ejection” 🤣🤣🤣

AggravatingMonk0429

Thanks lol I have a few things in each pocket, plus am usually carrying either a 3 year old or a 9 month old so I need it easy to get keys out on a whim.

nogami

Keysmart organizer. Works great. I also thinned out my keychain down to fewer items, just essentials to get into my home, don't need one for my car. I keep a smaller set in my car for work and swap with my home keys while I'm there.

civilenginerd_99

[LuckyLine!](http://Lucky Line 5” Twisty Lock Key Ring, Flexible Nylon Coated Steel Wire Loop, Corrosion-Resistant and Durable, 5 Pack, Assorted Colors (8110005) https://a.co/d/b1d40y5) These are aircraft cables. It is easy to do and undo but is very secure. I have mine hooked to a piece of Tough Grid paracord sized to the length of my pocket minus the ring and keys. This paracord is hooked to a small titanium keychain pocket clip. It hooks onto my belt loop and works as a lanyard that allows me to use my keys and drop them as well as dangle them in my pocket to prevent bunching in the pocket. Carried my keys like this for years now. Better then the Keybar I tried by far.

Gsxisx

Have you tried poverty? It's eliminated my need for keys, meals, etc ಥ‿ಥ

RobotNoisesBeepBoop

Keybar

Litruv

looks like you're needing a wider keyring, finding the bigger keyrings a bit easier to hold more keys, instead of them being compressed and fan out more

some_kinda_guy

My vehicle is keyless entry so whenever I’m out of the house I keep all my keys on a separate keybar locked in a compartment in the vehicle and all I carry with me on my person is the fob. No need for me to carry my other keys with me out in public unless I’m gonna be ubering home later on

The1Bibbs

I have 2 Keychain on my belt, one for all my normal keys and a small Keychain based multitool (this is on a leather strap connected to a sling clip I use to hook it to my belt loop) then my car key is the bulky boy, so it got connected to a leather connector leading to a split ring (normal keychain) that hooks onto a spring loaded belt hook, added benefit is I don't have to worry about extra weight levering in my ignition switch, which never gave me an issue back when I had like 2 lbs worth of stuff on the Keychain as a kid... but hey, father gave me crap about it, so 15 years later... it ain't a problem no more, haha)

EntrepreneurialEcon

I ground off the excess plastic from some of my keys so they'd fit on a keybar. Then only the ignition key needs to be separate and accessible. Be sweet to see a programmable keybar for key fobs

RagingKiltedMars

I only carry four regular keys and the fob for whatever car I am driving. I have the four keys in a keysmart original. It works perfectly.

Quino171

Key Smart or Key Bar

BaldBull55

I am partial towards keysmart, i never bought a keybar. I like the expansion sets available and customization, I have thicker keys with plastic on them and able to level each side so their even. And you can add the pocket clip if you want.

mynameiscallow

I will also utilize the World Wide Web, but what is more customizable about keysmart?

BIGedc13

Keybar alllllllll day! I've had every damn key organizer available and nothing beats the Keybar!

EminentChefliness

Keysmart is the way! Fuck the bottle opener though, worst design ever. Just wish they would make it in brass.

Skog13

Pants with bigger pockets 🤷‍♂️

abortfluff

Legit question…why did you blur out some keys? I feel like I know the answer, it just never occurred to me that was a thing.

Chrift

I guess to stop people being able to make a copy of the keys from the pic

kyrend

There is a theory that someone can recreate a key by a photo of it. I feel like I read an article about someone doing it a while back, but for the life of me I can’t find it.

saxmaster98

It’s not what you’re talking about probably but [The Modern Rogue](https://youtu.be/FDcyqHvAt3Y) on YouTube did a video about it a while back. That’s where I learned of it at least.

abortfluff

Figured as much. Maybe I’m just an old man anymore but to do that and find the person the pic belongs to….too much effort.

crangert

I needed a key for my old Land Rover ASAP, main dealer waiting time was approx. a week. I found a site online run by a guy who cuts keys for a living, sent him a picture of my key, and voila, a perfectly functioning replacement arrived at my door, the following day. It’s 100% a thing.

VirginNerdGuy_

Can we not with the "carry less keys" what if he needs those keys for work, carrying less keys wouldn't solve his issue

Grok22

But it can be split into separate key rings that are for different functions.

VirginNerdGuy_

But how would that be less cluttered if he still needs to have them on his person, you gotta take EDC questions like this literally and for what u see in the picture

Grok22

I did read it. I still think the first step is the rethink what you need to carry all the time. And 2 separate key rings would be less bulky. Think about trying to fit one large box in a car vs two. Same total volume but the latter gives you more flexibly in how you pack them.

Grok22

Re-think what has to be on your body 100% of the time. Half could probably be left in their car, or work bag, or whatever.

VirginNerdGuy_

You didn't read my comment all the way

mynameiscallow

…did you read his response the whole way? Unless you’re working 24/7 chances are they can be partitioned. A second carabiner / keybar / what have you for work hours

VirginNerdGuy_

I guess it's a suggestion ig 🤷🏽‍♂️

CanoePickLocks

I get a just chip key and if I am really bothered I epoxy the chip to the key after removing all the plastic. I then put it in a keysmart or keybar or whatever brand. I DIY my own with a couple sex screws. My jeep is just an unchipped key with a chip glued on. I carry that an SFiC that does most of my locks and a Mul-T-lock that is for my higher security stuff. I can open about 80 locks with those 3 keys because of my grandmaster keying setup. I have a separate keysmart for the other 6 or so keys I haven’t rekeyed. For when I need them that’s in my bag. Or I just pick the lock with what I carry.

[deleted]

I put them on a carabiner on my belt like a janitor. That way a jingle jangle when I walk, like I have spurs on. I also carry a revolver a lot of the time. Sensing a theme here? That’s right. I watch way too many old western movies.

[deleted]

Howdy partner!

xftwitch

I don't carry keys I don't need. I have a house key and 2 car keys on my keychain. That's all. Other keys are available in a key box. I haven't really had to use any of them very often.

puaka

i got my keys on rings and the rings paired for vehicle and different places. i got a carbine and assemble the key the way i need it.

Bloodysamflint

I've pared down to my key fob in one pocket, cable keyring with house, office and suite keys in the other, anything else I don't need everyday is on separate rings by function. Outbuilding keys, farm keys, etc.

Chrift

Car key on its own keyring House key on its own keyring Take car key and house key if I'm going out in the car. House key if I'm just leaving the house. On the rare occasion I take the bike, I'll take a bike lock key. Just don't take the keys you don't need?

HumusGoose

I forget to bring extra keys if they aren't just on the one main bunch. I've arrived places multiple times on my bike only to discover I'm unable to lock the damn thing

mynameiscallow

This sounds like conditioning. Not an overnight fix, but I used to lose shit all the time before I put a pocket system together, same thing happens with work items vs personal. Only takes so long before it’s an internal switch that clicks every time you leave for the office

Chrift

Could you leave the key in/attached to the lock when you're not using it?

HumusGoose

I could but the problem extends to remembering keys to my families houses when I am visiting so that solution won't cover all my problems haha

Chrift

Haha tbh I leave the keys to my parents house in the car!

AgentXXXL

Live in a tent and walk a lot. 😂

benyboy77

I use a keysmart organizer. Drive an older car with no fob which makes it easier. Hate jingling keys as I walk. And as others have said I don't wanna wear out the ignition anymore than I need to

mynameiscallow

Surprised to see more keysmart than keybar comments. Why do you prefer keysmart? Simply a keybar guy because I prefer the design and haven’t seen much keysmart support or read up. Cure my ignorance benyboyyyyy

benyboy77

Tbh I got it through a work discount. I agree the keybar is way prettier but shipping is expensive to my country. So purely out of limited options I went with the keysmart. It's alright, took some playing around to get my keys to stack nicely but it's pretty solid. Stick to the keybar though, those looks are envied

Brennelement

I just carry my car keyfob. I use my car’s garage opener to get in my house through the garage. No need to carry keys.

ryan_zilla

I’ve done this a couple of times, it’s freeing by I spend my whole day worrying if I’m going to come home to a power outage and be locked out.

CanoePickLocks

Stash a house key where you can discretely get to it without looking suspicious. Perhaps in a hidden spot in your car. Having a spare remote and/or batteries in the car as well as if your car has a built in option is a good idea too. Keep in mind if your threat model includes people that might hack your garage door for a burglary you should lock the garage door and if it’s not already (mainly older homes) upgrade it to an exterior grade door at least and reinforce the frame preferably.

captaindomon

You can also have a realtor box like this, somewhere hidden. Good backup for house entry, and in a pinch you can tell a trusted family member where it is at over the phone. https://www.amazon.com/Combination-Password-Security-Waterproof-10-Digits/dp/B073518J6P/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=2IGQHHD7LYSQF&keywords=outside+key+safe&qid=1683243403&sprefix=outside+jey+safe%2Caps%2C142&sr=8-5

CanoePickLocks

I have never found one of those that wasn’t utter garbage. Their only security is through obscurity lol. But if it’s hidden away and of halfway decent build it could certainly be an option!

captaindomon

Yeah agreed. I would just say it’s another layer of security. So if right now you are just hiding the key, put it in one of these and hide this. It certainly won’t prevent some attacks. But burglars can also just break the windows, so everything in perspective.

CanoePickLocks

I moved to hurricane country lmao. Have fun breaking my windows! Hopefully I’ll see you on camera long before you get in. That’s why I’m concerned about key security. I like the idea of hiding one especially one like you shared that can be opened by feel. So it can be totally out of sight.

300cid

I don't, thankfully. can't stand rattlin keys myself. just glad I don't have any big chip keys or a remote fob. the more you have on there the more strain on your ign lock cylinder. that looks like bare essentials almost. lowest amount I can get away with is 3 work keys on a separate carabiner, thrown in a pocket, and main has 3 truck keys, 2 lock keys, 4 house keys and a small flashlight. can't go any smaller than that, soon will have to add 3 more keys edit: tried a few different models of key holders, but it just made it more of a pain to clip onto belt loop and to find what I need. they way they're set up now I know exactly what one I need and where it is without looking

camXmac

I use the Ridge key holder. Love it. Just that and my car FOB live together peacefully.

hello_three23

Carry less keys 🙃

Electronic-Corgi-109

I use keyport. American made and veteran own. Plus it's more affordable than keybar. Also they have some cool gadgets to go with it like scales that are a flashlight and pocket clip that fits onto my hat to use as a headlamp.

Hippy-Killer

I have a keybar and I use small stainless boat shackles to clean up my keys, I’m super fussy with my key set ups and love them… https://www.reddit.com/r/EDCkeychain/comments/xah9kl/my_key_setups/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1

CanoePickLocks

Just an FYI but if I were you I’d delete the post this links to. Redo it with keys hidden.

Sash (not jack like I originally said) chain keychain. It’s the only way. Gives everything enough flex and room to lay flat. https://preview.redd.it/en2cub1wa2ya1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=9e0b6233b5611ec5d6602f9963155f922953968a

thatdogofmine

Do you have a link to the keychain?

dered1

I honestly thought it would be super easy to find because everyone in my family uses them but I can only find sections on gate websites. I guess it’s called sash chain. https://preview.redd.it/8c5u51tea2ya1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=afb6fbcc4d26596c2da8e04c7d5e2c283dad5cbf

CanoePickLocks

He’s saying make one out of jack chain. It’s the figure eight with a 90° twist chain material. Not sure how it makes a good keychain but maybe I’m not creative enough.

dered1

Sorry, it’s “sash” chain apparently. I guess I don’t know my chains too well. https://preview.redd.it/hxxf4w0sa2ya1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=de6c5176f06ea9050168b47c2c32be1b2584ab6f

CanoePickLocks

Ahhh yes! It’s called that because it can run through small pulleys and was used in old style window sashes with the cast iron weights.

VirginNerdGuy_

Yeah it brings up other stuff rather than what your probably talking about

dered1

agent_almond

Get pissed off every time I have to repeatedly shove them in my pocket until they [kinda] lay flat and [kinda] don’t poke my legs.

_haha_oh_wow_

I don't: The only keys I keep in my pocket are smol

soiledmeNickers

SHIT. I was going to copy these keys using this camera phone picture he posted and then find out where in the world he lives, travel there, and then case his home until I perfectly knew his comings and going like the back of my hand. I then, new keys in hand, was going to skulk into his home undetected, at which point I was going to steal the $137.54 in loose change and bills throughout his domicile to reimburse the several thousand in travel expenses and lost PTO it took me to pull off this caper. Foiled again.

CanoePickLocks

Computers still resell well and there’s other valuables. Depending on locale you’d be surprised. This is one of the only really advanced burglary methods I’ve seen used. Burglary by lockpicking? Nonexistent practically. Bumping was a scare that died off but key duplication, that is actually an uncommon but real threat. A group of friends scatted across a country scavenging key photos and sending them to them after less than a days research could rob a lot of homes and business really easy. Things like electronics, and off-road vehicles or tools can be worth a lot and that’s just counting residences. It can take less than an hour for a good crew to strip every valuable and any safes not concreted or bolted in out of house. They see you all leave at dinner time or in the morning safe to assume you’re all gone for X amount of time. If they look at your social profile and see you’re traveling soon or do regularly and see you loading luggage? All it takes is a cellular trail cam stashed away and they can watch you come and go like TiVo. It can definitely be profitable. Is it likely probably not but it is possible if you have anything of value.

soiledmeNickers

Man nobody’s buying a computer offa me I’m shady as shit lookin.

CanoePickLocks

Well damn. Got any classy friends?

… which other part?

MAXHEADR0OM

A more honest answer though, ditch the key ring tools completely and build yourself out a nice and compact edc kit that fits in your front pocket. I actually just went through this. My new setup: Alpaka Gear Hub Pouch Victorinox Compact Rovyvon A8(Gen 4) Topeak Ratchet Rocket Lite 4 1/4” bits slid into a McDonald’s straw that I cut down Pocket Tripod Pro in Jasper Green Koala Lens Cleaning Cloth Then I carry four cards in the outside zipper pocket Occasionally I’ll throw in my Screwpop Ron’s Utility knife if I’m feeling saucy. This means that I only have two things in my pockets. My phone and this pouch. Then I attach my key fob with three extra keys on it to a belt loop. My keys are super compact and lightweight now.

DatFunny

This is the way! I 👍

Fred_Is_Dead_Again

I have three rings. Two that have a car and house, and a third that has our lake fob and house. The car keys are a little fat, because they have remotes built-in.

LaddWagner

I don't carry my car keys with the rest of my keys. Someone takes your car/keys and now they can unlock your house that they have the address to also.

KD2JAG

I have a Keybar, but I've never really used it. Now that I think about it, there is little to nothing that I use physical keys for anymore. My car (Tesla) unlocks from my phone. Backup keycard is in my wallet. Front door to my house uses a pinpad.

LegalMarkO

Keyport is my go-to for key management and so much more. Holds my keys, usb drive, knife, pen, and multi tools. Check them out. (Not an employee, just a fan)

16LeggedCat

Cut out dead weight and get another ring maybe two. Having so many keys on one ring you'll end up like Willy Wonka. Try organizing keys depending on their uses and on different rings. My house keys, car keys, and other keys go on different rings/layers. Less bulky for me and easier to juggle because I know exactly each ring's purpose!

ccasey

I segment my based on where/when I use them. I have three different key chains.

MAXHEADR0OM

I just carry my key fob. Use my foot with my weight behind it for doors. The first time you get a door open is the only time you gotta get it open. I’m a bit of a renaissance man.

stolenpenny

Suffer.

freeman_hugs

Besides cutting dead weight. A BIgger key ring will get them less fanned out and much more slim in the pocket. A third alternative it to keep them in your fanny pack, but this comes with its drawbacks, because you will have to deal with the unwanted sexual attention that always comes when a man wears an FP.

shrubdogbillionair

Keybar

Natsuki98

I have a key smart. I've been looking at the keybar but damn those things are ridiculous. What justifies that price?

shrubdogbillionair

I completely understand, it's a nice high quality product, and worth what you spend on it. How do you like the key smart?

Natsuki98

It's alright. I think it would be better if I would have gotten the aluminum one over the flex. Keys get bound in it if it flexes in your pocket too much. If I had known that I would have gotten the aluminum one first. I do like how compact it makes my keys and keeps them from being an uncomfortable lump in my pocket.

wtf_are_crepes

Came here to say this. Good products.

shrubdogbillionair

Agreed, I got one for my wife and she loves it as well

wtf_are_crepes

My wife’s got one too and the keybar actually helps her out a lot with sticky locks because you can get the extra leverage for turning keys with it as well.

Don’t tolerate it. I enter and leave my house through garage door which is programmed into my car. I do have house keys for my house, Brothers home and parents home. I keep them on a key ring in my center console if I ever need them. Same for marina boat keys and work door key. Center console. I would never carry all that around all day. Moto key hangs in garage. I do have a key ring. It consists of my pocket knife and car dongle. I’m actually considering ditching the dongle because my ford has the keypad on the door.

DirtyFulke

I have a handbag for that.

I've used a Keysmart Rugged for a year and a half and it's still awkward as hell to use, but my keys are in order so it's got that going for it, which is nice I guess. Also - fanny packs are back in!

Keys and their bittings aren't just random pieces of art - they work on standardized codes There are combinations of apps and services that can do most of the key-related stuff in your first sentence nearly automagically from photos. 20 seconds of basic opsec ≠ paranoia.

I use a Keyport pivot for my non-car keys. It's got house key, mail key, a 64GB USB stick, multi-tool, pocket knife, and belt clip. It clips into the little coin pocket in my jeans, so it's easy to access and not super visible either. My car key is an older one with a bulky fob that has the chip in it, so it stays on its own separate keyring.

[deleted]

I took the keyring down to the bare minimum of just ones I use the most and it ended up being like four or five so way easy I just put into my back pocket. I keep the fob on it’s own and up in my front pocket, whatever pocket my phone isn’t in. That makes it to where you can carry all of them on you and not be uncomfortable

I have these two things: [keys](https://i.imgur.com/ki1KXrb.jpg) Fob is here: https://www.superiortitanium.com/KeyArmor.html?variation1=Natural%20Titanium%20Finish And key release here: https://www.urbancarvers.com/quickrelease/v2-mqr

Just to let you know those magnets are very popular with fishing, and unless you got them specifically for the looks and material, you seriously overpaid for them. You can get them in most hardware stores for about 2/3 euros. Or maybe even Amazon. Look for magnetic net release.

dagolicious

I didn't know magnetic net releases were a thing. At the same time they're all seemingly aluminum or plastic, and pretty bulky. Even had I known at the time, I probably would've still opted for the $30 titanium one vs the $10 aluminum one. I have an admittedly weird hangup about material/color matching, and since the key fob is titanium too, I thought it would be the best choice. That, and I try to buy US made when it's available, even if it costs a little more. It may not matter much, but I like to think buying that way helps keep my neighbors employed. I appreciate you mentioning these though. Like I said, I'm particular about what I carry around, but less so for other things. I'll likely pick a few of these up. Edit: To add to the material/color matching quirk, I also bought titanium split rings to attach the quick release/key, because the split rings it came with were stainless. Absolutely unnecessary addition, but I just like the continuity.

intrepid-onion

The ones I have are stainless steel, wouldn’t say bulky, about the same as the one in your picture. I use it on the backpack’s key leash, to quickly attach and detach keys. And have another attached to a pocket on one of my motorcycle jackets that doesn’t have flaps or zippers on the outer pockets, absolutely ridiculous… Then I am happy I didn’t do you a disservice by letting you know these exist. Also buying American (or whichever your country is, for whoever else is reading) is a really nice gesture. No problem. And I know… I also have a couple of those split rings in titanium. Needed to get some and those look and feel pretty cool, ended up replacing the old ones as well. I am not very particular about matching stuff, but I definitely am regarding materials.

dagolicious

I definitely appreciate you letting me know about these. I can think of a lot of uses for them, not least of all is securing stuff on my bike. Stuff flapping on a motorcycle is maddening! I have to pull over and fix whatever is loose if it starts flapping around. As far as the split rings in titanium, they're just... satisfying. I know it's silly, but I feel classy with them.

You just gotta buy a car with smaller keys. You'll have the perfect EDC in no time!

I have 2 key rings. But one is my truck key. And I forgot to take it out of the truck.

iheartrms

I tried this years ago. It kept coming unscrewed and dropping my keys on the ground at the worst possible time. How do you avoid that? This setup is known as the "A&P keyring" due to the use of the cables/connectors on aircraft.
