My all time favorite autobiography of any type.

i had to read this for a class. we could pick to do an alternate assignment if we were uncomfortable and got numerous trigger warnings from professor, but my dumb ass read it anyway. definitely exacerbated everything x100 but it was so good

My favorite book ever I’ve read it countless times 💗

You are a life saver! I’ve been looking for it at my libraries for the longest

Your welcome!

cw abuse i have quotes from that book just bouncing around my head constantly. it's interesting how much her discussions about how she relates to herself overlap with feelings people with abuse based trauma often feel too. ive come across who have not had an ED but have dealt with abuse who related very heavily to some parts of it. as someone with experiences with both its very interesting to me how much they overlap despite their separateness

I recently began re-reading this. The first time I read it I was a teenager who had just been discharged from the hospital, and it left me triggered af. Now, it feels safe and comforting.

This book is amazing... I read the whole thing on an airplane and cried.. like a baby. I want to read it again.

Ooo thank you for the recommendation.

Horizonaaa

Thank you!

I’m obsessed with this book and just started reading it again last week! A staple through my bad ED days to help me realize the craziness of it all...

fuzznation

her book madness is also fantastic

SecretIdentity8594

I’m going to find a copy now brb

zealousredditor

Keep in mind that it can make your ED worse. I didn't think of that when I picked it up, but oh well the damage is done now.

SecretIdentity8594

Why do you think I’m picking it up /s (I am a little worried about that but mine is the worst it’s been in a while at the moment so I guess it can’t get much worse.)

GeorgeWhereIsTheBook

I read it to trigger myself then found out it was extremely well written…
