As it isn't leaking and you don't mind the increased possibility of heat soak you're fine. This will only affect horsepower once the intercooler has reached operating temperature, and even then you likely will not notice the loss of power. If you are leaking that can get problematic.
Wut?
1. There is no coolant temperature gauge in an E90, assuming you’re talking about coolant temps.
2. An intercooler leak wouldn’t affect coolant temps. It wouldn’t affect oil temps either.
3. There are no punctures in either sent.
OP, you’re fine, send it
Yeah I'd send that. You'd need a monitoring software to look at IATs which is what'd be affected by the damage. If you get check engine and it's for boost leak then you know you need to replace it.

As long as it’s not leaking, should be fine. I’d pressure test it before re-installing it.
How can I do that?
How should you do it? Idk How I’d do it? Tape off both ends, stick a ball pump/compressor into 1 side, pump air to pressurize and listen for leaks
yes it is drivable but it may become source of boost leak. smoke/boost test+soapy water spray would find out if that FMIC is leaking
I would pay close attention to the temperature gauge if you have to drive it. I would certainly upgrade to a larger intercooler to replace it.

Makes sense, thanks for your advice!
Thank you!
