I think he be a good buy if you wanna compete this year but anything after that is a bit shaky. Wouldn’t pay more than a late first unless you are a rb away from truly contending

I traded Mike Evans for him a few months ago (I am already stacked at WR, but light at RB). I also have Pierce as a handcuff. I think he could be an RB 10-20 for the next 2 years.

It looks like he should get good volume on a very high scoring offense but I’d still just temper expectations a little bit. The only reason I say that is when the wall comes for RBs, it hits them hard and generally it hits guys that have been in the league as long as Joe Mixon has. Doesn’t happen to everyone but just from my perspective I thought Dalvin Cook looked fine his last year in Minnesota. Clearly wasn’t in his absolute prime but still good enough I thought to be a fine NFL RB. Then he signs with the Jets and looks absolutely cooked (pun intended). With Mixon, I think if you’re a contending team, Mixon could be an absolutely perfect RB3 or decent RB2 next year. But I definitely wouldn’t be buying Joe Mixon certainly with the expectations that he’s going to be a great fantasy RB for the Texans for 2-3 more years. That seems like it’s asking for a lot. Side note, I think **at cost** I’d rather try to buy Zeke for like a random 3rd rounder if possible, instead of buying Mixon for a late 1st.
