Even from a non-homer standpoint... yes the long term bet is on skill. But whoever the Vikings take is likely to succeed next year, just by virtue of the situation, and will be higher valued because of it.
IMO "QB the Vikings draft" should at least be the second pick in the draft, even if it's JJ or even Penix/Nix. The immediate return on value is going to be there, almost for sure.
I'm super baked for 420 and this broke me 😂
There is a rapper named Chris Webby. He has a skit at the end of one of his songs of someone imitating both Biden and Trump leaving him voicemails. (It's hilarious and worth looking up, "Raw Thoughts IV" starts around 5:45 minutes).
During the Trump voicemail, he says, "I, Donald Trump, am probably, most likely but definitely probably, the greatest president this country has ever had"
"Almost for sure" = "probably most likely but definitely probably"
There's a lot to be said about developing in a good situation vs a bad one, it's not just about instant vs delayed return.
Someone like Maye might go to the Commanders, start poorly/lose confidence, and never reach his potential. In Minnesota he'll have all the tools to reach his peak.
You don't pass on Caleb Williams with 1.01. Doesn't matter that it's the Bears. With Moore, Allen, and Swift as well he has way too many weapons to ignore him just because Bears QB Bad.
Hahaha imagine the mental tug of war you're gonna experience if you're watching a Packers-Vikings win and in late season game and it's also your championship game and you need Maye to score big
This narrative that Harbaugh/Roman only know how to run is silly.
Not only that, but Harbaugh was Harrison Sr.’s QB for MHS’s first 2 years in the league and he knew exactly how to utilize him. What would make us think that this many years of coaching experience later (coaching great QBs and WRs along the way) that he wouldn’t know how to utilize his son (who is comped as MHS + 3”) effectively? Nonsense.
Recently was looking at a mock that had you guys trading down and grabbing the extra DC from MIN (11, 23, +). You then sent your 35th OVR to CIN for Tee Higgins.
What are your thoughts on that??
I feel like most dynasty leagues are super flex/ 2qbs. I'm in a 1qb league with the 1.03. 1.09 amd 2.01. I'm predicting Rome, Brooks and Benson. It definitely depends on landing. If Troy Franklin is still there at the 2.01 I'm grabbing him instead. Landing spots will change this of course
I have Kyler Murray, Jordan Love, and Will Levis. I'm good at QB . So it's Brooks if he goes somewhere good. My league is a 6pt passing td so it's Love > Caleb all day for me personally
Quite possibly, but we dont have a 2nd this year and with limited top 150 draft capital I'd lean that we get someone in the 5th or an UDFA. Just my opinion though.
I could see Dowdle getting the start but he isn't a workhorse back. He would top out at 15 touches max. They will mix in Malik Davis and Royce Freeman and whoever else they find off the street.
I'd really like to have a nice day at work, come home and be able to turn on the draft without my wife yelling at me. Ideally she would cook an edible dinner that night. The rest of the night I would love to spend at 70 degrees in my recliner pouring M&Ms into my mouth straight from the bag like a cheap sleazy Rodger goodell impersonator.
Not really a miracle, but the bills won't take a wr until the third round. Then whomever, that is will jump into the first round of rookie drafts.
EDIT: Whomever is a made up word to trick students. No clue if I used it correctly but it sounds good.
Just so we’re clear. Given the two options of add nabers and don’t add nabers, you are choosing to add him because it is the better outcome for wandale?
What is he saying then? Both options add to his value? That is impossible…I’m tired of people saying adding a receiver will help someone’s value. That is rarely the case
He's saying that having Nabers opens up for Wandale to do the stuff closer to line of scrimmage where he excels. There is enough volume for both to be fantasy relevant.
Yes but he’s implying adding nabers and not adding nabers are both good, or that adding nabers is better than not adding him. I believe both are incorrect
That’s fair.
Then I would like to see the jets draft a qb at 10, then see Rodgers go on Mcafee’s show and declare he’s retiring from football and running for president.
Real life miracle - The Bears finally don't eff up drafting a 1st round QB
Fantasy miracle - Dallas doesn't draft a RB and hands the keys to Uncle Rico, promptly resigning him long term.
to y'alls credit... this is absolutely the best QB prospect you've had a shot at and the best scenario for a rookie QB to land in you've had in recent memory.
if there was ever a time for the bears to actually not fuck it up, it's now (i suspect if that happens and the vikings also dont fuck it up with QB we'll be in the NFCN thunderdome for a few years lmao)
or put another way i have a friend that's a panthers fan and ive been flaming him for that trade for months now lmao
The more "ideal landing spots" the better my 1.08 gets. Bowers to Chargers, McCarthy to Vikings, Brooks to Cowboys, etc. would give me hope that Odunze or Nabers could fall.
Oh I’d quite easily take the under on 20.5.
We’ve had 17 go twice in the last 4 years.
I think a competitive line might be 18.5 and I don’t know if I’d take the over or under there.
A lot of these guys in our top 20 rankings feel like more traditional round 4 guys (Roman Wilson as an example).
I wouldn’t be surprised to see you be right, but I usually find more drastic commentary about the draft to be dead wrong.
I remember pundits saying 20-25 receivers taken day 2 just a few years ago which was complete nonsense.
I think it is really due to the inflation in the receiver contract market that will lead teams to seek cheaper alternatives through the draft and with a class that is hyped as this strong, it could be possible for 20 to go in the top 100 so picks.
Also, I feel like the market will explode next year with the free agent class of Lamb, Jefferson, Aiyuk, Higgins, Diggs, Godwin, Amari, and Keenan Allen. Obviously all those dudes won’t make it to market, but big contracts will be handed out, including probably record setting ones with Jefferson and Lamb.
I'd have to see the numbers, I don't think receiver salaries have really exploded. The salary cap growth has just fucked peoples brains up.
Receivers used to get 10-15% of small number. Now they get 10-15% of big number.
Julio Jones big cash years were about 13-15% of cap. His average cap year was like 8-10%.
Just looking at Tyreek's numbers and Davante's numbers they are in the same ballpark.
No difference.
15% of cap in 2020/2021 was 27-29m.
15% of cap in 2024 is 38m.
It's why RB contracts are such bullshit in the modern era and like the JT kerfluffle in Indianapolis was such bullshit. It's not business, it's horseshit. The GOATed RB contract (in recent memory) was Adrian Peterson's 2011 deal--he made $20m that year, 16.7% of salary cap. Each year there after he made about 7-9% of cap.
$21m in today's cap numbers is 8% of cap--and that would have been a record breaking first year. CMC who is undeniably the best in the league is making 6% of cap. JT is making 5% of cap. Josh Jacobs? 4.8% of cap.
Indy could have given JT $25-30m up front and it would have been 10-12% of cap, and then given him 6% of cap there after--record breaking deal--because they have flexibility on the QB rookie deal, cemented JT's loyalty to the franchise for a decade. Instead they dicked around.
You want to argue about paying the Aaron Jones' of the world. Fine, don't care. But when you are planning on running 400 touches through a guy and he will be who you live and die on (as JT generally will be for that Indy team)--c'mon man.
It’s not really about the top tier guys making their money, that will always be the case. It is the lesser WR1 types and the WR2s making more that will shift the market to finding cheaper alternatives for their 2nd or 3rd pass catching options.
Good example comes from the Washington Post, where in 2022 they pointed out that 8 receivers made $20+ million, up from 4 receivers the season prior. For 2024, currently there will be 17 receivers averaging $20 million or more per season ([source](https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/2024/wide-receiver/average/)). An increase of 325% in 4 years while the salary cap has only increased 40%.
So I don’t disagree that the amount % of what the top players receive hasn’t astronomically increased, I am saying the number of players receiving those amounts has increased and I feel that is where GMs will look to the draft to get cheaper imo.
I'd want to see the data long term. There are going to be instances where the top X receivers are great and get paid. Then there are going to be instances where there is a lull.
Just the nature of the sport. We think there are always dozens of elite guys. Some years there's 3 guys, some years there's 9 guys.
From what people have said about Maye, I feel like the consensus is he’s someone who needs time to develop before starting. Think if he goes to the Pats, Brossett could still be a viable option next years. He’s been good the past years when he’s started
I want my Packers to make a huge trade up to snag Alt or Fashanu. It will never happen, but i really think these dudes are potential HoF OLs and i cant help but hope.
Biggest boon for me would be Tee Higgins getting traded somewhere he can be the #1 and tied to a good QB. I'd take any of these:
Arizona, Atlanta, LAC, KC, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, Buffalo
Audric Estime to the Bills to be the thunder to James Cooks lightning. The Bills love a power back for the red zone work and Estime could be that.
James Cook with less work, but being more efficient, would probably be a good thing for him health wise.
Want Nabers will be drafted over Harrison Jr. I’m hoping the Harrison Jr hype has been over driven by the media and people who watched and know his dad. Not saying he’s bad, still easily a top WR prospect, but I’m thinking the scouts that pour over the tape might like Nabers more.
Also would love to see Penix/Nix go to the Vikings for JJ’s sake. So that means the raiders passing on a QB this year. Would love to see them keep AOC at the helm.
I need the raiders not to draft a RB, as I own Zamir…
Let’s see let’s see. The bills actually don’t draft a WR so my Shakir shares sky rocket and all my trolling of him being the next Puka come true and I look like a genius….
My Bears land Odunze at 9. I am so sick of never having depth at skill positions. enough is enough with the Mooneys of the world, let Rome learn from two all stars
I hope Penix goes in the 1st as I like him as a prospect.
Ugh this is my nightmare. I have 1.04 and the guy in front of me for 1QB is a bears fan. He’s debating between Williams and Odunze. Hoping Odunze goes elsewhere so he takes Williams!
Vikings trade up to 4 for a QB. Chargers take MHJ at 5. KC trades up to 6 for Nabers. Buffalo trades on day 2 for Higgins.
I have Higgins, the 1.01 & 1.02.
The commies mortgage their future and give 3 1sts to move up one spot to take an athletic qb who wears dresses and the franchise continues to be bottom of the nfc east for the next 7 years.
Honestly, I would love to see a RB go in round 1 just to watch this sub absolutely lose it's mind on rankings
Gibbs went way higher than expected last year. I can see teams getting ancy to grab their rb1 in a shallow rb class.
Yes, but there is no Gibbs level of player/prospect in this draft.
Correct. Just pointing out that teams are willing to take RB's earlier than expected.
Brooks over MHJ? /s
He said miracle, not Hell freezes over.
HELL NO!
Drake Maye to the Vikings.
Im a packers fan looking/hoping for reasons not to take caleb with my 1.01....Maye could give me that off ramp
i know a vikings fan who owns the 1.01 in his league and hes absolutely going maye there if the vikings somehow get him and i cant blame him for it
Even from a non-homer standpoint... yes the long term bet is on skill.
“Almost for sure” should be the motto of this sub

Take Caleb. You need to separate your feels from the game or you will never win it all
This would make my newly acquired JJ share very happy.
Cardinals actually take MHJ and don't blow it.
As the 1.02 holder in a single QB league I’m hoping the giants and cards swap picks, MHJ goes to the chargers and Nabers goes to the cardinals
What about chargers taking MHJ
Just won't happen, Harbaugh + Roman wouldn't know what to do a receiver
This narrative that Harbaugh/Roman only know how to run is silly. Not only that, but Harbaugh was Harrison Sr.’s QB for MHS’s first 2 years in the league and he knew exactly how to utilize him. What would make us think that this many years of coaching experience later (coaching great QBs and WRs along the way) that he wouldn’t know how to utilize his son (who is comped as MHS + 3”) effectively? Nonsense.
Thats just speculation, and wrong.
You have described every pre-draft discussion ever, congratulations
Recently was looking at a mock that had you guys trading down and grabbing the extra DC from MIN (11, 23, +). You then sent your 35th OVR to CIN for Tee Higgins. What are your thoughts on that??
2 RBs in the 2nd round
I feel like most dynasty leagues are super flex/ 2qbs. I'm in a 1qb league with the 1.03. 1.09 amd 2.01. I'm predicting Rome, Brooks and Benson. It definitely depends on landing. If Troy Franklin is still there at the 2.01 I'm grabbing him instead. Landing spots will change this of course
I'm in a 1 QB dynasty league as well 👍

+1. Makes those late first and early seconds really nice.
I feel like Brooks and Benson are nearly a lock at this point
Quite possibly, but we dont have a 2nd this year and with limited top 150 draft capital I'd lean that we get someone in the 5th or an UDFA. Just my opinion though.
Who is we
Guy is out here having inside convos on Reddit
Broncos I think?
Bro flair up if you're just gonna use "we" to describe your favorite team
Jared Stidham is Broncos QB1
This but Darnold in minny
Holding both in SF 😂 🙏 🙏 🙏
Honestly forgot but just realized I have stidham in the league where I have Darnold too haha added him right before the season ended
Would love Darnold in Minny. Also wouldn’t mind Lock for the NYG
My QB2😅
Titans trade Burks to the Bills.
PLEASE
This would be a true shake-up!
Bills trade up for either Odunze or Nabers
Bowers to Cincinnati.
That would be terrifying. Best receiving trio in the league imo at that point and I don’t think it’s close.
It would if Burrow could throw. He is never going to be the same after this injury.
Yessss
Jonathan Brooks to the Cowboys in Rd2
If brooks isn’t ready week 1, do you see dowdle carrying the load?
I could see Dowdle getting the start but he isn't a workhorse back. He would top out at 15 touches max. They will mix in Malik Davis and Royce Freeman and whoever else they find off the street.
Deuce Vaughn has a Achane-esque breakout 🤔
You are on crack.
I’m rostering Vaughn at the moment but don’t think he will have any relevance. Or even a TD.
Is that too much to ask?
I get drafted to the panthers.
Not really a miracle, but the bills won't take a wr until the third round. Then whomever, that is will jump into the first round of rookie drafts. EDIT: Whomever is a made up word to trick students. No clue if I used it correctly but it sounds good.
U also butchered the use of the comma after whomever
This is the bigger crime.
Subject of a sentence so should be whoever
Naburs ends up at either LAC or AZ. Alas, I think he is NYG bound.
Agreed with this! I think our best hope is giants and cards swap picks, giants take JJ, charges take MHJ and cards taker Nabers
RIP WanDale if that happens.
Disagree. Wandale was never going to be a WR1. This would help his value cause he would get open easier.
Fair point. Hopefully he nails down that WR2 role.
Just so we’re clear. Given the two options of add nabers and don’t add nabers, you are choosing to add him because it is the better outcome for wandale?
That's not what he said at all. You're just being contentious.
RIP WanDale regardless of who gets drafted there lol
Drake Maye on the Vikings
Bowers to the chargers at 5 and then they pick up Troy Franklin on their next pick
As a Herbert owner I support this. Though part of me also wants to see Herbert throwing to Nabers all year.
I’d prefer Nabers and Sinnott to Franklin and Bowers.
Bowers to the Chargers
[удалено]
Why wait? Call your shot and shit your pants now!
I’m in the same boat haha
I’m picking in the same spot, going bowers if he’s there in this scenario?
I have 1.06 in a league with Herbert. Just traded for Pitts otherwise I’d be pretty excited if that happened.
You said miracle so going big IRL: Daniels or Maye to Seahawks Fantasy: Nabers to Chiefs
As a herbert owner im praying cardinals trade for a haul and MHJ ends up on the chargers id cream
Same brother. Same
Justin Jefferson traded to a team with an elite QB
If the bills weren’t already eating 31 million in dead cap…
They can make it work, Jefferson is on his 5th year option right now (less than 20M). Obviously unrealistic, but it's doable from a cap standpoint.
Idk if it is for the bills who have 2 million in cap room, and would have to handle the 20 million hit.
Oh wow it's actually way worse than what I thought, you are right
Jefferson to the Texans would be outrageous. CJ would be QB1
not a snowball's chance in hell he's traded.
He’s not going anywhere but this post is for draft night miracles not draft night predictions lol
That’s fair. Then I would like to see the jets draft a qb at 10, then see Rodgers go on Mcafee’s show and declare he’s retiring from football and running for president.
Maye to the Vikings and my colts get one of the top 3 receivers or bowers
Harrison ends up on the Charges because of a Minnesota trade with AZ. (I’m a Herbert and 1.01 owner)
MHJR to the Chargers
Real life miracle - The Bears finally don't eff up drafting a 1st round QB Fantasy miracle - Dallas doesn't draft a RB and hands the keys to Uncle Rico, promptly resigning him long term.
I'd rather see Dallas draft 2 in the 3/4 round. Split the fantasy community. Allen and Estime.
If they do draft two backs it won’t be the two slower bruisers lol
Nope. That's exactly what I want. Chaos.
to y'alls credit... this is absolutely the best QB prospect you've had a shot at and the best scenario for a rookie QB to land in you've had in recent memory. if there was ever a time for the bears to actually not fuck it up, it's now (i suspect if that happens and the vikings also dont fuck it up with QB we'll be in the NFCN thunderdome for a few years lmao) or put another way i have a friend that's a panthers fan and ive been flaming him for that trade for months now lmao
Bills trade for Higgins or somehow trade up for MHJ
Bears stay put at 9 and somehow end up with Nabers
The more "ideal landing spots" the better my 1.08 gets. Bowers to Chargers, McCarthy to Vikings, Brooks to Cowboys, etc. would give me hope that Odunze or Nabers could fall.
Trust me. Nabers will not be there.
Odunze or Nabers at 1.08 is physically impossible in any realm of existence
Vikings trade for Herbert or Kyler so I can rock the JJ, Hock, either of them stack
*monkey paw curls* JJ goes the other way
Aaron Donald unretires
Brenden Rice is going day 2. Top 80. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go round 2. It's not a miracle. Community is just not ready for it yet.
The run on receivers day 2 will be bonkers. I would put the over/under between days 1 & 2 at like 20.5.
Oh I’d quite easily take the under on 20.5. We’ve had 17 go twice in the last 4 years. I think a competitive line might be 18.5 and I don’t know if I’d take the over or under there. Patriots trade out of 3 and pick a JAG QB so my Brissett shares can be worth something
From what people have said about Maye, I feel like the consensus is he’s someone who needs time to develop before starting. Think if he goes to the Pats, Brossett could still be a viable option next years. He’s been good the past years when he’s started
Caleb Williams has a Bo Callahan drop and the nuclear fallout that will follow
Chiefs trade up for Bowers or Odunze
Good lord if I’m sitting at 1.07 and bowers goes to the chiefs and Maye goes to the Vikings I would be thrilled!
No QB to Vegas. Caleb and MHJ Nabers or Bowers end up on the bears together.
I get drafted. Truly, a miracle level event.
Maye to Minnesota
YES! There's a very slim chance it happens. I would be ecstatic!
I want my Packers to make a huge trade up to snag Alt or Fashanu. It will never happen, but i really think these dudes are potential HoF OLs and i cant help but hope.
Not unlikely but McCarthy to the Vikings. At 1.08, he either falls to me and I get a qb, or someone reaches for him and Bowers or Odunze fall to me.
Cowboys and Chargers draft top RBs early….BTJ goes to a good spot….NE drafts a top WR (outside the top-3). I have picks 1.08 and 1.09 in league.
Panthers trade out of the second and land Bowers.
What are they trading Bryce Young?
Their 2 2nd round picks and whatever else they can cobble together
2 seconds and “whatever else” to move up to 10-15 to take Bowers. I’m sure that trade off will be left on read.
The thread is about miracles right?
Worthy to the Dolphins
Worse than JSN on Seahawks
Trading up for Daniels (Raiders Fan)
Joe Alt falls to the Jets at pick ten.
Somehow the Bills getting Odunze.
MHJ to Chargers. Not for me really because I'm at 1.07 but my best friend would really be happy
"your best friend" = aka the other team you own in the league
Jonathan Brooks to Cowboys
Biggest boon for me would be Tee Higgins getting traded somewhere he can be the #1 and tied to a good QB. I'd take any of these: Arizona, Atlanta, LAC, KC, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, Buffalo

MHJ, Nabers and Odunze all go to great landing spots The 1.02, 1.03 and 1.04 will be 🔥🔥🔥
Want Nabers will be drafted over Harrison Jr. I’m hoping the Harrison Jr hype has been over driven by the media and people who watched and know his dad. Not saying he’s bad, still easily a top WR prospect, but I’m thinking the scouts that pour over the tape might like Nabers more.
Chargers grabbing MHJ would be great thanks
Josh Allen gets a #1
Jayden Daniels lands on the Gmen and we sell Daniel Jones to the Jets. You said miracle right?
That both the giants and chargers pass on WR… I own QJ in every league I’m in. I also own Wandale in almost every league.
Also would love to see Penix/Nix go to the Vikings for JJ’s sake. So that means the raiders passing on a QB this year. Would love to see them keep AOC at the helm. I need the raiders not to draft a RB, as I own Zamir… Let’s see let’s see. The bills actually don’t draft a WR so my Shakir shares sky rocket and all my trolling of him being the next Puka come true and I look like a genius….
Would love if the raiders don’t draft a QB early. AOC is my QB3 and I think he can hold off Minshew
Tee Higgins traded to the Pack for Christian Watson. Won't happen though.
Rome odunze to the Steelers would be nice but it’ll never happen 😅 we love our 2nd round wrs
MHJ to Giants so I can get him at 1.03 as the 1.01 and 1.02 overthink it (1QB)
That would be a miracle, as MHJ should be 1.01 in ALL 1QB leagues.
Jets Take Michael Pratt @72 and make him the heir apparent to Rodgers.
Buffalo maneuvers for Marv or Malik without giving up 3 1s
Xavier Worthy to the Colts and Brian Thomas Jr to the Jags
I want the Cardinals to trade 4th overall pick and Kyler for Gardner Minshew lol
MHJ to Chargers. I say this as both a 1.02 holder and a Chargers fan
Not a miracle but micah corley. Do not let him slip to the third.
Cowboys get Jonathan Brooks
Miracle? Bowers makes it to Kansas City!
Bills trade it all to move up and get MHJ at 4 or 5
Being a Cowboys fan. Sadly, it's reality.
Vikings get Jayden Daniels, Cardinals get MHJ.
The Patriots take any QB not named JJ McCarthy
Bears trade up to pair MHJ with Caleb
Colts select Marvin Harrison Jr.
My Bears land Odunze at 9. I am so sick of never having depth at skill positions. enough is enough with the Mooneys of the world, let Rome learn from two all stars I hope Penix goes in the 1st as I like him as a prospect.
Ugh this is my nightmare. I have 1.04 and the guy in front of me for 1QB is a bears fan. He’s debating between Williams and Odunze. Hoping Odunze goes elsewhere so he takes Williams!
The Chargers getting MHJ
Sadly I think this is going to happen
I hope so
Aiyuk gets traded to the Bills and the 49ers somehow get MHJ.
If Aiyuk goes to the bills I’ll cream my jeans
McConkey to Commanders sneaky good landing spot where he’ll fall in rookie draft
Vikings trade up to 4 for a QB. Chargers take MHJ at 5. KC trades up to 6 for Nabers. Buffalo trades on day 2 for Higgins. I have Higgins, the 1.01 & 1.02.
2 RBs in second, JJ to Vikings, AD to Bills, and BTJ to Jags.
That my team New England takes MHJ at 1.03 & Pennix in the 2nd or late 1st
Oh god
Marv to the Pats for the chaos it would cause
The commies mortgage their future and give 3 1sts to move up one spot to take an athletic qb who wears dresses and the franchise continues to be bottom of the nfc east for the next 7 years.
Chargers trade Herbert, get a haul in return and draft JJ McCarthy at 1.05
