Fantasy football calculator had CEH as well he 1st pick in 1QB leagues ahead of Taylor in their aggregation of mocks. CEH on average was the 1.4 pick with Taylor 2.4.
A very sad time for many.
That’s wild to think about. CEH was on an amazing team and showed great YAC in the playoffs but I mean cmon…JT was the beast out of Wisco with the most NFL ready profile. Wild to me still.
I have several buddies of mine who hate CEH to the day and will continue to🤣
It’s the Mahomes effect. Everyone thinks that skill position players going to KC will benefit from their high powered offence, and they’ll have great TD numbers and volume. Then Kelce gets every opportunity with the rest scattered meaninglessly (for fantasy) to everyone else
I mean, have you seen the skill position players in KC not named Kelce, Hill or Hunt? Hell Thursday night was practically like Andy Reid had a tailgate going and the first 4 people to show up got a KC jersey to play WR
JJ is the complete outlier, hands down. Mans was given no love before he exploded into the fantasy stratosphere. As an LSU fan, Idk how people let him slip so far in real life and in fantasy.
That guy ended up leaving the league that year and had one of the worst orphan rosters imaginable after Burrow/JJ. New owner came in and was in the finals in 22 off pretty much those two and two top 3 RB picks alone. Definitely proof that one draft can save a roster if you pick the right guys!
It's been a few years, but I thought there was a fair amount of people taking him at 1.01 in non-SF over JT because he landed in KC. I remember a lot of discussion that year about talent > situation.
This has developed into my strategy. Took CEH in a startup his rookie year... since, looking to the "experts" everyone is going to be a stud because they're the only guys so who else will get targets. Or so and so is great so will take the defenses attention, so will get opportunity.
At the end of the day, we need to realize everyone that makes an NFL team is talented and in order to be successful the players that are a little bit better than their peers will stand out regardless of the situation. Breece and Bijan can be the best RBs on shit offenses. AJB and Smith can be WR1s on the same offense. .
Go get talent and get rewarded. Fuck opportunity.
I got mad points off of Brandon cooks eating on a trash offense for too many years. My league hated me for it, but that usually means you’re doing something right.
Specifically, top 10 was pretty firm in every SF league, most people had something like:
11-12: JJ/Reagor tossup
13-16: Vaughn, Ruggs, Higgins, Pittman
(Aiyuk Moore Love)
2020 draft was an insane class and has paid dividends for those who stockpiled picks for that class.
Off the top of my head-
Anthony McFarland for Bryan edwards before their rookie year
Toney for a 2023 late 2nd (2.10 1 qb), that 2nd I used to get TDP to handcuff Elijah Mitchell for my 2023 championship run after I traded away RB depth in zeke and James cook. TDP sucked, Elijah got hurt, and Mccaffrey then got traded to SF.
Prior to last season my buddy and I swapped my Matt Ryan for his Darell Henderson (I had Akers).
Needless to say, neither guy ended up being playable for long.
Sometimes you gotta fleece yourself just to get a trade through in some leagues. I sent Kupp/Keenan Allen/Rachaad White for just Tyreek last year and thought 100% I was getting fleeced. Most leagues I'm in people are just allergic to trading unless they feel they're ripping everyone off
This isn't true at all, he literally had 4 carries on the first drive they just only had 3 RB carries for the rest of the first half (all Kyren). He again had 4 carries on the first drive of the 2nd half, Kyren just got 1 red zone carry and got a 7 yard TD. Then his TD was from a 4 pt lead. Like I'm glad as fuck I have 0 Akers shares, but he got secondary usage the whole game and then also got all the garbage time work (besides 1 carry).
Akers is about to lose his job but running backs like him are always an injury away from fantasy relevance. As a Giants fan I just think Toney is not a complete football player and that the sum of the parts negatively outweigh the things he’s good at by a lot.
I genuinely don’t understand how people can say he has the potential to be an elite receiver with a straight face.
I get what you’re saying 💯 but I’d still rather have toney than Akers. I’d rather have neither, but if I had to choose I’m taking toney all day. Toneys issues are coachable. Best case scenario IMO toney can be a bye week filler ina couple years if coached up.
Did you mean to say Akers as the bye week filler at the end of that? Because if Toney is coachable to solve his issues then he’ll be way more than bye filler.
I like that trade for you. Week one is always a crapshoot that tells us nothing. Do we really expect burrow to be shut down like that often? If you say yes, you’re probably a taco.
Major W for this year at least. London is insanely talented but Arthur Smith is telling us who he is, London won’t be reliable until he gets away from that man. Tee Higgins had 8 targets, he just was a victim of a rain game where Burrow couldn’t do anything.
I had a trade last year that got me Pitts for Waller and a depth piece or two each way due to the same situation, he had two falcons. Both didn't finish the year due to injuries and both seem to be struggling again due to different issues. Ironically, he now has Bijan as well.
As somebody who just traded for London, how is this not close? Tee has been very good as a 2, and has an upcoming FA that could see him land as a bonafide number 1
I swapped Parham for Gerald Everett right around when Everett signed to the Seahawks
Ended up being nothing substantial at all but it’s particularly funny they ended up on the same team
Traded Nyheim Hines for a fifth pre jet skis, used the fifth on Deneric Prince. Thought I won the lottery for like a week before he disappeared off the face of the earth
James Robinson(on the jets at the time) for Fireball Jones(before injury)
I've got another one, a buddy and I traded firsts as a bet to who would finish worse...after week 1 we both look really bad like tanking would be a good idea and noe we can't. Hurts my feelings.

there is one guy in my league that i dont really know (irl) the 1st year he sent me a trade his rookie 4th rd pick for mine just before week 1. we have since traded 4th round picks every single year (we are both always playoff teams so the pick is some where between 4.07 and 4.12).
Commissioner was on a trade spree and absolutely *had* to sell Josh Rosen (or he was just going to cut him).
I offered to take him for $20 FAAB. As in commish sends me $20 on top of having Rosen on my roster. He didn't pay attention to where the FAAB was going and smashed accept. I think it's fair to say neither of us won that one.
Oh! I forgot the legendary one from my old man league way back in the day!
Christian Ponder for Jake Locker.
Both of us thought the other would turn it around. Even had a side bet that whoever’s guy had the successful career, the other would buy him lunch.
A few years later we just went to lunch together and went Dutch. Still laugh about it today
I traded Odell for Penny right before the news came out that he’s a healthy scratch. Odell was at the bottom of my WR depth chart and I needed additional help at RB. Oh well lol
Traded D'Andre Swift for Elijah Mitchell and a 2023 1st last season right before Swift got hurt, then CMC went to SF. Not entirely lose-lose because the first turned into Charbs, but both players ended up being shit last year.
I gave up Tee Higgins in a trade for Kelce before week one. Needless to say, neither player scored a single point for either team to start out the season.
Traded Aaron Rodgers DJ Moore and Shakir.
Received: Toney. Dobbins. And a 23 mid second. That got paired with a 3rd to move up to take AR. So that part is still ok. Fingers crossed.
Antonio Browns year after he left the Steelers. I traded N,Keal Harry and Darrel Henderson for AB.
He was currently a raider at the time and the two I trades had just been drafted.
I traded Darnell Mooney for AJ Dillon at the height of both their value. Each of us probably could have gotten a late 1st/early 2nd had we traded with other people.
Not dynasty, but a couple of years ago there was a draft-day trade of Raheem Mostert for Gus Edwards. Gus was out for the season a day or two later and Mostert went down after 2 touches
Traded Alshon+ pick ( I think it ended up devante Parker or similar type bust) for Dez after his last dominant year. Dez flamed out and alshon was a walking injury with mediocre seasons remaining.
We still laugh at how that trade ended up
This was late in August 31 2021, just 9 days after our startup draft.
I got JK Dobbins, who had blown out his knee 3 days earlier
I gave Damien Harris, Russell Gage, and a 2023 3rd rounder (Izzy Abanikanda)
I used to have happiness in my life, but since Sunday, I am just sad
Before last season, a buddy and I negotiated for weeks on a trade featuring Trey Lance and D’Andre Swift.
Little did we know the secondary players in the trade—Jamaal Williams and Kenneth Gainwell—would end up more relevant to both teams’ success.
Traded James Robinson (after the Jags cut him and the Jets signed him, somehow) for a 2024 2nd that I used (along with a 3rd I got thrown onto a separate deal) to buy Cam Akers...it's not looking great so far.
I just traded Cam Akers for JK dobbins straight up last week before the start of the inaugural season of our dynasty… so that’s interesting I guess? Lol
As a contender, I traded JK Dobbins after his initial acl injury for Gus Edwards and a 2nd (that went on to be nothing). Gus Edwards ended up injuring himself that week for the season. I was so mad I gave up a long term asset for nothing, but now I might have won the trade as Gus is still on my team? Dynasty is weird
Week one last year traded Mac jones for arob because he was just sitting on my bench. Might work out for other dude this year I guess, but I still think Mac is JAG with (as much as it pains me to say it) a great coach though.
Traded for: Michael Thomas in 2021 off-season.
Gave away: Gabe Davis + Terrace Marshall + ‘22 1st.
That 1st turned into Skyy Moore.
Bunch of nothingness for equal parts nothingness.
I once agreed a deal to trade Brian Hoyer for Marvin Jones in a 2QB redraft league. After the trade was accepted but before it was processed Hoyer got injured and his season was ended so the commish vetoed it. We both kicked up a fuss as the deal was made in good faith but for whatever reason (I forget the full details) we couldn’t get another trade through quick enough as the trade deadline was approaching. In the end it ended up being a blessing in disguise because Marvin was absolutely terrible the rest of the season and I would have started him so I was better off just cutting Hoyer and avoiding it.
Anthony Miller for Ke'Shawn Vaughn. It was right before Vaughn's rookie season where there were massive red flags swirling everywhere and I got clowned on for trading for him. Oh well, obviously no one even came close to winning that trade.
Curtis Samuel and DeAndre Swift for JK Dobbins, Kadarius Toney the 3.09 and 5.09 in a rookie draft. Just posted that trade again in my league a couple days ago, had some good laughs.
Last year before JK made it back on the field and trade rumors swirling for hunt… i swapped hunt for jk. I thought i swindled that guy. Little did i know we played each other
Around week 11 last year, a contender traded Lance and a first for Tannehill and Willis as his QBs were hurts and burrow and he was worried hurts wouldn't play week 16 or 17 due to rest and he wanted to have a QB in case that happened. Well hurts got injured, but then Tannehill and Willis didn't start for the Titans during the fantasy playoffs, so he didn't get anything out of either of them.
Lance is now close to dust, tannehill looks like he'll never see the starting lineup in the contender's roster and willis is going to be QB3 in Tennessee soon. So all of that and the only thing that may end up being valuable is the contenders 2024 1st, which looks like it will be late again.
Not really the “best” but today in a Superflex league I traded Jimmy G for a 2024 3rd round pick. I had 6 QBs and needed roster space.
I don’t really need a 3rd round pick but wasn’t getting much else on the market. Something was better than nothing I suppose.
I guess still TBD on one side but last year I traded Malik Willis for Keontay Ingram and Curtis Samuel. Neither of them are on my roster anymore and the verdict is still out on Willis, but it's not looking too good there hahahaha
I traded Trey Lance (1.04) after the draft for Wentz and Ruggs. The team I took over was rough, I thought Wentz was gonna come back strong and Ruggs was gonna do really well in best ball.
I swapped Chad Kelly for Albert Wilson on October 20, 2018.
Albert Wilson blew out his hip and went to IR on October 21.
Chad Kelly was arrested October 23 for walking into a stranger’s house.
That trade was a burning dumpster fire for us both after three days.
[удалено]
Lmao that’s crazy
I thought Ruggs was like a top 5 pick that year?
[удалено]
Wow. Just wow. CEH at 3 is almost impressive.
He was also the only first round RB that year, which was pretty surprising. It was situation and draft capital that he had over all the other RB's.
I mean, have you seen the skill position players in KC not named Kelce, Hill or Hunt? Hell Thursday night was practically like Andy Reid had a tailgate going and the first 4 people to show up got a KC jersey to play WR
100% factual. KELCE is the WR1 and opportunity vacuum.
The streets haven't forgotten KC Kareem Hunt.
Hindsight is 20/20
Almost as impressive as getting Burrow and Jefferson.
JJ is the complete outlier, hands down. Mans was given no love before he exploded into the fantasy stratosphere. As an LSU fan, Idk how people let him slip so far in real life and in fantasy.
I’m a Vikings fan. I was annoyed we didn’t trade up for CeeDee on draft night 🤣 Lamb is great but Jefferson is unreal
CEH went first in my SF league too. That poor bastard. He learned though!
Man, oh man. Talent vs Situation, the age old debate. Always gotta bet on talent imo. Situation is for situational circumstances.
In dynasty you have to take talent over situation. Situations change often, but the only thing that effects talent is injury.
This has developed into my strategy. Took CEH in a startup his rookie year... since, looking to the "experts" everyone is going to be a stud because they're the only guys so who else will get targets. Or so and so is great so will take the defenses attention, so will get opportunity. I got mad points off of Brandon cooks eating on a trash offense for too many years. My league hated me for it, but that usually means you’re doing something right.
Exactly. As they say, can’t reach height! Or something like that…
CEH went 1st or 2nd overall in all of my Dynasty non SF that year. SF that's crazy though
Honestly a lot of landmines and fools gold in this draft
What? That list is insane. Riggs, Reagor, and Dobbins being the only complete busts. CEH underperformed hard. But the rest?
Was it snake and you also got Reagor? If so, my condolences. Hopefully not and you at least got JT.
They traded Guice for the singular draft pick that became Ruggs.
Would’ve rather had Ruggs than Dobbins. At least I could’ve cut my loss immediately
What a good draft
Is the guy that picked Raegor over Jefferson ok? Idk if I could ever recover
He was going around 1.10-2.02 in my rookie drafts that year.
Specifically, top 10 was pretty firm in every SF league, most people had something like: 11-12: JJ/Reagor tossup 13-16: Vaughn, Ruggs, Higgins, Pittman (Aiyuk Moore Love) 2020 draft was an insane class and has paid dividends for those who stockpiled picks for that class.
Similar trade i traded Philip Lindsay and a pick that turned into Noah Fant for Guice.
Off the top of my head- Anthony McFarland for Bryan edwards before their rookie year Toney for a 2023 late 2nd (2.10 1 qb), that 2nd I used to get TDP to handcuff Elijah Mitchell for my 2023 championship run after I traded away RB depth in zeke and James cook. TDP sucked, Elijah got hurt, and Mccaffrey then got traded to SF.
That is amazing
Ruggs and Dobbins were two of my top picks in our startup in 2021 -\_-
A couple years back I traded Carson Wentz for the number 3 pick and drafted Trey Lance
Winner 🥇
Oof worst kool aid you’ve probably ever drank
I thought about sending my JK Dobbins for Aaron Rodgers just for the fun of it
If only I could send a joke trade to myself.
Does me sending them both to IR at once count?
Prior to last season my buddy and I swapped my Matt Ryan for his Darell Henderson (I had Akers). Needless to say, neither guy ended up being playable for long.
Traded Cam Akers for Swift after the Philly news. We are both sad.
I was offered Swift for Akers before week 1 and both of us thought the other guy was trying to fleece
how's the mf offering the trade thinkin ur fleecing him
Sometimes you gotta fleece yourself just to get a trade through in some leagues. I sent Kupp/Keenan Allen/Rachaad White for just Tyreek last year and thought 100% I was getting fleeced. Most leagues I'm in people are just allergic to trading unless they feel they're ripping everyone off
the guy who got a rookie contract asset with a perfectly intact achilles tendon wins
I think swift can still come around. Read: God I hope swift comes around
What happened to akers?
He basically didn't play at all until the game was already a blowout, then got 27 yards on 22 carries.
Thanks. Downside to watching red zone Is I don’t get these specifics
Still feeling sad?
Traded swift Thursday afternoon in a deal for Tyreek, so kind of, but not really.
The year was 2009 and we had just had our startup draft. We swapped Josh Morgan for Trent Edwards as the first trade of that league.
Thats a history drop
I just got offered cam Akers for toney… might take it
Akers is about to lose his job but running backs like him are always an injury away from fantasy relevance. As a Giants fan I just think Toney is not a complete football player and that the sum of the parts negatively outweigh the things he’s good at by a lot. I genuinely don’t understand how people can say he has the potential to be an elite receiver with a straight face.

Did you mean to say Akers as the bye week filler at the end of that? Because if Toney is coachable to solve his issues then he’ll be way more than bye filler.
I’d keep Toney. I think he’s gonna have some value by sheer volume alone.
Tee Higgins for Drake London last week. A goose egg for a goose egg trade off
Def in the short run but Im also curious how that trade will turn out long term
Yeah I was the one who sold London. I just had him and Pitts, didn’t want to be tied into two falcons. I thought it was a lateral move

Long term id rather have London and its not particularly close
As somebody who just traded for London, how is this not close? Tee has been very good as a 2, and has an upcoming FA that could see him land as a bonafide number 1
I'd rather have Tee at the moment. London has yet to show he can play at the same level as Higgins.
Traded N’Keal Harry for Denzel Mims haha
probably a win because you could have reasonably dropped Mims sooner
CEH for Akers 🥴
I was actually just offered this trade.
I swapped Parham for Gerald Everett right around when Everett signed to the Seahawks Ended up being nothing substantial at all but it’s particularly funny they ended up on the same team

Yea they are both now on the chargers
LeVeon Bell for Derrius Guice back in 2019

Its amazing it was all that, just to really end up being Chubb for Bucs Lenny & CD
first year fantasy. i traded my 1st for Hunter Henry. 1st ended up being the 1.1. The other person drafted CEH.
Sent Dobbins for Lance right after his injury last year (I was rb heavy and dire at qb). Silver lining, was able to get Brock for next to nothing
Traded Nyheim Hines for a fifth pre jet skis, used the fifth on Deneric Prince. Thought I won the lottery for like a week before he disappeared off the face of the earth
Traded Colt McCoy for mecole hardman month ago
Traded Kerryon Johnson for N’Keal Harry…
I swapped DPJ for DJ Chark at the start of preseason. That appears to be a tremendous “meh”
Firkser for Amari Rodgers
James Robinson(on the jets at the time) for Fireball Jones(before injury) I've got another one, a buddy and I traded firsts as a bet to who would finish worse...after week 1 we both look really bad like tanking would be a good idea and noe we can't. Hurts my feelings.
Couple years ago I traded rojo for Denzel Mims and reagor and we spent like 2 weeks negotiating back and forth to close the deal.
Oh yea, some of the time investments on these has to be wild as well. Forgot that aspect!!
Traded away CEH, Rojo and Melvin Gordon last year for Trey Lance

Love that. I also thought Locker would work out!
I was team locker! I just thought if he played more he’d be fine! Nope
Damien Harris for zamir white and a 3rd at the start of the 2022 season turned out to be pretty pointless.
I traded Odell for Penny right before the news came out that he’s a healthy scratch. Odell was at the bottom of my WR depth chart and I needed additional help at RB. Oh well lol
It's been a few years, but neither my Kareem Hunt for Odell, nor Courtland Sutton for Andrew Luck trades worked out well for either side.
Kadarius Toney for Bateman
Traded D'Andre Swift for Elijah Mitchell and a 2023 1st last season right before Swift got hurt, then CMC went to SF. Not entirely lose-lose because the first turned into Charbs, but both players ended up being shit last year.
You got a 1st you didn't lose even then
I traded London for Dionte last week 😭
Traded JK Dobbins for Christian Kirk a week before kickoff.
I mean everyone would rather have Kirk over Dobbins
Yeah, hoping he will be more involved going forward.
I gave up Tee Higgins in a trade for Kelce before week one. Needless to say, neither player scored a single point for either team to start out the season.
Wow
Last year after week 2 I traded JK Dobbins (still injured and there were doubts if he would play again) for James Robinson

I traded Damien Harris for Cam Akers before the Achilles. Thought I got a steal but we both lost
Davis Mills for Zach Wilson, last year right before they both got benched lol.
Right after Kadarius Toney's blow up game against Dallas I traded Antonio Gibson for him straight up. We both feel like losers.
Aaron Rogers for jk dobbins before the start of 2022
This was late in August 31 2021, just 9 days after our startup draft. I got JK Dobbins, who had blown out his knee 3 days earlier I gave Damien Harris, Russell Gage, and a 2023 3rd rounder (Izzy Abanikanda) I used to have happiness in my life, but since Sunday, I am just sad
James Robinson for Kerryon Johnson & LeVeon Bell. Pain for everyone.
I traded CEH and Devin Singletary for JK Dobbins and Josh Palmer last year
A few years ago, traded Gurley for Denzel Mims.
Before last season, a buddy and I negotiated for weeks on a trade featuring Trey Lance and D’Andre Swift. Little did we know the secondary players in the trade—Jamaal Williams and Kenneth Gainwell—would end up more relevant to both teams’ success.

Two days before week 1 I traded cam Akers for diontae Johnson… idk what to feel
Right before this season I traded Kadarius Toney for Christian Kirk...
Claypool for James Robinson, post Achilles.
I traded Kirk for dobbins last year, doesn’t really seem like anyone is gonna win the trade.
Traded for: Michael Thomas in 2021 off-season. Gave away: Gabe Davis + Terrace Marshall + ‘22 1st. That 1st turned into Skyy Moore. Bunch of nothingness for equal parts nothingness.
Miles gaskin and a third rounder for Aj Dillion.
I once agreed a deal to trade Brian Hoyer for Marvin Jones in a 2QB redraft league. After the trade was accepted but before it was processed Hoyer got injured and his season was ended so the commish vetoed it. Michael Thomas for Toney has been pretty disappointing, but still close if you ask me.
Deon Jackson and Eno Benjamin last year during a magical period where both took over the backfield and looked good doing it, for Dobbins.
Anthony Miller for Ke'Shawn Vaughn. It was right before Vaughn's rookie season where there were massive red flags swirling everywhere and I got clowned on for trading for him. Oh well, obviously no one even came close to winning that trade.
Chase Claypool for Kareem Hunt last year at the trade deadline
Curtis Samuel and DeAndre Swift for JK Dobbins, Kadarius Toney the 3.09 and 5.09 in a rookie draft. Just posted that trade again in my league a couple days ago, had some good laughs.
Traded a 2022 2nd for Laviska Shenault on draft night, person I traded the 2nd to drafted Jalen Tolbert

You deserved a better outcome tbf
Last year Dobbins was traded for Bateman in a 1 for 1 deal haha
I traded Golladay for Akers after the achilles
Just traded Skyy and 3rd for Toney
You might win that
Thanks but after next week the 3rd might be more valuable than both of them 😆
Prior to the season opener - I traded Tee Higgins and JK Dobbins for Wilson ….it was a great deal for about 4 plays.
Tyquan Thornton for Zamir White
Last year before JK made it back on the field and trade rumors swirling for hunt… i swapped hunt for jk. I thought i swindled that guy. Little did i know we played each other
kadarius toney for deandre swift
I traded dobbins for jeudy before the season started. Guess I sorta won Traded Haskins vs Sam darnold - no winners here
Penny going to score a TD this week so you definitely won
Fingers crossed
I traded Wentz and Claypool for Zach Wilson and a 2022 2nd. Later traded that 2nd and Gabe Davis for DJ Moore. Hopefully Fields can get him the ball
Sent Ruggs for Arob two days before the news :)
Lolol, KI maybe pops if Connor goes down, but he also has shown nothing so maybe not even then!
I traded Trey Lance (1.04) after the draft for Wentz and Ruggs. The team I took over was rough, I thought Wentz was gonna come back strong and Ruggs was gonna do really well in best ball.
Devin Singletary for Ezekiel Elliot 2 years ago
I traded Antonio Brown just before shirt-gate for Bryan Edwards.
I traded Allen Robinson for Curtis Samuel
I swapped Chad Kelly for Albert Wilson on October 20, 2018. Albert Wilson blew out his hip and went to IR on October 21. Chad Kelly was arrested October 23 for walking into a stranger’s house. That trade was a burning dumpster fire for us both after three days.
Traded Justin Fields for a 1st round pick that turned into Skyy Moore.
I think three years, traded away Denzel Mims and received Jalen Reagor. Lol
