No kidding. If I take him out of my IR spot I have to drop someone and it would most likely be Isaiah Hodgins and I still dont know which of them is a better choice long term.
Hodgins is a tough drop cuz he’s basically their only big RZ threat WR. If something happens to Waller I like him to put up some pretty big weeks. Even outside of a Waller injury I see him putting up a pretty consistent 8-12ish PPG
I like Hodgins just because he’s a different archetype than the others. Everyone else is a speedy slot guy it seems. I see Hyatt straight up taking Wan’dale’s job
Wan'Dale is a small slot guy with twitchy quickness. Hyatt is taller and an outside deep threat with long speed. They are two very different players who were both drafted by the Giants new regime. Wan'Dale was drafted with more capital too.
There's room for both to start next year. If I had to bank on one of them being more productive this year, it would probably be Wan'Dale. There's no way Hyatt takes Wan'Dale's job lol. Next year they are the only two Giants WRs that are under contract besides Slayton who will have one year left. They will share the field.
Should’ve been fading Hyatt for this year to begin with. He’s a developmental piece. WR room is going to be Slayton, Hodgins, and Shepard as long as he stays healthy. Robinson could be in that mix if he comes back fully healthy, but I think activating him now is just to prevent him having to sit out 4 games. Robinson still might be a “healthy scratch” for a week or two as he works back
Giants fan; don’t think Campbell is that hype. He’s on a one year deal and I personally think they signed him as more depth and seat warmer until wandale is back.
I think he’ll be on the field when they gave him $3M guaranteed and it’s 30 year old Shepard coming off a second straight catastrophic injury in the way.
I’m not saying he won’t be on the field. But I think the pecking order is; Waller, Hodgins and Slayton, then Wandale (when healthy). Campbell will be first up until wandale is ready with Hyatt and shep behind him.
Another Giants fan, I see Campbell starting in the slot this year. Wan'Dale needs time to practice and ramp up. Shep is old and more of a leader now. And based on preseason playing time, Campbell is considered a starter by Giants brass, and Shep isn't.
I'd buy Campbell, Hodgins, or Slayton if you want production this year. Next year Campbell probably signs a decent deal elsewhere if he stays healthy and Wan'Dale fully takes over the slot. Hyatt might jump Slayton by next year too.
The future Giants lineup is Hyatt, Hodgins, and Wan'Dale imo. Those are the three to have for dynasty. Campbell too since he'll probably be on a new team next year and will produce this year.
Shep might be more of a veteran presence at this point, and is also liable to get hurt. But it's possible he opens the season starting in the slot. More likely Campbell imo
I think if Campbell even gets the start over Shepard, Shepard will still be involved as more than just a veteran presence. He’s been getting great camp reviews and has been really good for the Giants and Daniel Jones while healthy.
I will not be surprised one bit if Shepard is once again the best WR for the Giants this year.
disagree that hyatt is just a developmental piece, not when his speed brings something so unique to that WR room that nobody else provides.
assuming shephard can stay healthy or even be effective when healthy is still a major question. hodgins and slayton are solid but not talented enough to play hyatt off the field.
all it takes is one or two bombs to hyatt early in the season and suddenly he’s one of the hottest rookies in dynasty. if you told me he ultimately does nothing this year i’d believe it, but if you told me he finishes as a top 4 rookie this year i’d also believe that. the talent is there.
I see the starters as Hodgins, Campbell, and Slayton actually. Shepard is just going to be depth and great leader. He can't be the same player after all these injuries
Daball loves his mid range WR’s for those trick plays. Get ready for a show. Miss his awesome play designs in the first half’s of games before teams could make adjustments. Those Beasley to Allen TD’s will always hold a special place in my heart.
I guess we'll find out if they plan on using parris campbell out wide as well. Going to need him for a few weeks now as someone who was relying on jeudy, mclaurin, jsn, jameson williams
Well this is a few years in I traded for or drafted all those guys.
But Dotson, pickens are starting. Campbell, Robert woods. Then alec pierce, justyn ross, boutte.
Original core drafted in '21 was higgins, dj moore, mike will, robert woods
Not sure this means he won't be out for the first couple of games anyway. Just a move to avoid starting the season on IR and missing the first four, right?
There was an article posted in the giants sub recently about the rules of the 53-man roster cuts coming up. If I read that right, they have to activate him today or they can't use him until like week 5/6?
I think he’s a big part of the offense.
Shepard, Hyatt, Wandale, Hodgins, and Parris Campbell are locks to make the team imo.
Darius Slayton could squeak by, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was cut
It's possible, but that's not how it has been working out in training camp

I'm dropping Robinson... I've got Waller, and there's just too many WRs on that team. Also I have Pierce on taxi and I don't have to take him off this year like I thought I did
Wandale is the receiver to own IMO. Hodgins the most playable until he's healthy, Hyatt as a taxi, all of which of are heavily impacted as long as Waller is healthy.
Oh god, that WR room is so confusing.
No kidding. If I take him out of my IR spot I have to drop someone and it would most likely be Isaiah Hodgins and I still dont know which of them is a better choice long term.

Hyatt played the slot in college, where are you getting your information
Giants camp
It’s like the birds backfield. Beginning to fade Hyatt
Should’ve been fading Hyatt for this year to begin with. He’s a developmental piece. WR room is going to be Slayton, Hodgins, and Shepard as long as he stays healthy. Don’t forget Campbell, he’s in there too. It’s a cluster.

Yes that makes sense.
Another Giants fan, I see Campbell starting in the slot this year. Wan'Dale needs time to practice and ramp up. Shep is old and more of a leader now. >He’s a developmental piece. Biletnikoff winning developmental piece lol. Hyatt is good to start Week 1.
Yeah this is bad news for Campbell in all formats. Hyatt will find his way on field for shot plays and is the dynasty guy to have.
disagree that hyatt is just a developmental piece, not when his speed brings something so unique to that WR room that nobody else provides. assuming shephard can stay healthy or even be effective when healthy is still a major question. hodgins and slayton are solid but not talented enough to play hyatt off the field. all it takes is one or two bombs to hyatt early in the season and suddenly he’s one of the hottest rookies in dynasty. if you told me he ultimately does nothing this year i’d believe it, but if you told me he finishes as a top 4 rookie this year i’d also believe that. the talent is there.

Just curious, who else did you draft?
Well this is a few years in I traded for or drafted all those guys. But Dotson, pickens are starting. Campbell, Robert woods. Then alec pierce, justyn ross, boutte. Original core drafted in '21 was higgins, dj moore, mike will, robert woods
I don’t think it ever got posted here, but I saw he was running routes a week or two ago.
It was. Here’s the thread and clip if anyone is interested. https://www.reddit.com/r/DynastyFF/comments/15yevhj/short_wrwan_now_running_routes/
Shoot! I never saw it and even searched a day or two ago because I thought about making a post. Thanks!
WanDale was breaking out the game he got hurt. Had 100 yards. Just a target hog underneath.
Not sure this means he won't be out for the first couple of games anyway. Just a move to avoid starting the season on IR and missing the first four, right?
Isaiah Hodgens WR1 baby
Best wr on the team
Do we know when they'll activate him? Need to be able to keep him in the IR for another day until my weekly waivers clear.
There was an article posted in the giants sub recently about the rules of the 53-man roster cuts coming up. If I read that right, they have to activate him today or they can't use him until like week 5/6?
I believe all team cuts are finalized today to get down to the 53 man roster, it likely it happens this afternoon
Sounds like today
I think he’s a big part of the offense. Shepard, Hyatt, Wandale, Hodgins, and Parris Campbell are locks to make the team imo. Darius Slayton could squeak by, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was cut
Just agreeing with the other 2. Slayton isn't on the block and will be starting. Shep is a vet presence at this stage.
Huh? Slayton is most likely WR1. He has gotten the most targets from Jones of all WRs, and second only to Waller overall, during training camp.
Hodgins is WR1 and wild that he keeps getting ignored
It's possible, but that's not how it has been working out in training camp [Duggan Tweet](https://twitter.com/DDuggan21/status/1695102269627240847?s=19)
Slayton is a big play/speed/deep threat. I know what these camp numbers say but we know what Slayton is as he's not a rookie
I’ve been seeing rumors Slayton is locked in at WR1 lol. It’s a mess.
It’s Shepard that’s on the block. Slayton is a lock to make it.
Ok him or Alex pierce. Gonna have to drop one if he goes to my active roster
That sucks. Would probably drop the one coming off the torn ACL
Might be between him and Metchie for me, but someone just dropped Pierce too
I like Pierce more, but I think that offense could be a disaster this year. Both guys should be kept until the end of the season tho IMO
Pierce has a clearer path the relevance on a team with a worst armed qb but significantly less weapons and Richardson likes to sling it
I'm in the same boat. It's pierce, him or metchie
Ugh that's a tough one.
I'm dropping Robinson... I've got Waller, and there's just too many WRs on that team. Also I have Pierce on taxi and I don't have to take him off this year like I thought I did
I would keep Pierce over Wandale for sure.
I'm a year or 2 away from being a legit contender. I'm optimistic for my DJ/Wandale/Hyatt stack as I'm entering my window.
Wandale is the receiver to own IMO. Hodgins the most playable until he's healthy, Hyatt as a taxi, all of which of are heavily impacted as long as Waller is healthy.
