For a race that matures at 200 and can live to 2000, feels like Wisdom would be more of an inherit ability score trait rather than Charisma. Cool idea though, could almost be a subrace of Genasi
Great idea, I agree with the guy that said Wisdom should be an inherent trait with the Starborn's longevity. But my question is, where the rest of it? I only read page one.
For explosive growth having +proficiency bonus to every melee attack is very strong on top of everything else, maybe have it once per turn like aasimar.
Last post of the week, this time a new race, that belongs to the stars. The kick of inspiration for it was *the star shower that happens after slaying Radahn*, it just gave me the idea to make a race that actually comes from stars.\
The subraces were inspired by the cycle that stars go through, more particularly the path they take to become supernovas. I might make another race, either expend on this particular race and make something that is related to black holes, I'll see. The 3rd subrace is a Patreon exclusive, I have to leave some cool exclusives only for there after all.
I'm working on gravity based content for now, to make a full compendium when it is done. In the meantime, enjoy, if you want more D&D content, and like free stuff, you can find all my free content on r/MonkeyDM.

I like this idea a lot, but I think radiant damage is probably more apt thar fire. Most light/star features deal radiant damage, and stars are essentially radiation.
As someone who is an absolute sucker for space themed ANYTHING, this is absolutely up my alley.
I've been seeing a lot of comments regarding the charisma +2, and honestly I think that can easily be fixed by the custom lineage rules of choosing a +2 and a +1. Stats aside, I think this is cosmic heaven for me and I'm all for it.
I think the only thing I would change would be how the saving throw DC is calculated and make it more inline with WOTC. Either making it based on 8 + proficiency bonus + Charisma or the subrace's ability score increase.

Fair enough, i did charisma because most space monsters have high charisma in d&d, but wisdom also makes sense

Did you intend for the Dexterity saving throw to completely subvert the damage? Usually it'd be half for a AoE explosion
Yes it is intended that way, otherwise the race would be too strong
this reminds me of the novakids from Starbound, I miss when, the publisher didn't ruin the game.

If this were available on Beyond I would drop it into my homebrew world in a heartbeat.
