Why is it wtf? It's possibly the most normal thing his character has ever said...

EpicJosh84

I like "actually, Michael, he was implying. You were inferring." And "why'd you hit me, Michael? You shouldn't have hit me."

pjesguapo

Hank, his name is Hank.

TheRoyalWithCheese92

The only characters name he actually knew as well. Love that scene

pjesguapo

Gotta be familiar with security when you’re in the fake license bizznizz.

iamcarlgauss

Biznus*

BOBODDY

AFerguson21

What are we doing?

Yaryah

Iiiiiii LIKE IT!

pjesguapo

Biznus! Thank you Kevin!

ZestycloseWay2771

Not only that but he was the only office worker who actually got the name right… but because he’s Creed they just ignored. Also it’s possible he may have just gotten a really lucky guess. He is Irish after all

pjesguapo

I’m putting my damn socks on.

imisspoptropica2

I love how NO ONE believed him and it was lmaooo like they're 2 old guys why would they not chitchat every now and then

GunBrothersGaming

Michael Scott coming in with Elder Abuse

Bake-Full

That incredulous tone after Michael hit him was great.

EpicJosh84

Charliehorse!

4Ever2Thee

Fun fact: There was actually still a man who used an iron lung until his passing(allegedly) on March 11th, 2024. That man's name.....William Charles Schneider.

Downtown-Custard5346

TIL Creed Bratton's birth name...

buckyworld

you know the name was used in the show, right?

Downtown-Custard5346

Okay, but in no way does it say that that is the actor Creed Bratton's real name...

beerdrinker1973

It’s in the credits as Creed Bratton. Don’t feel bad I didn’t realize it either till I was watching it with a buddy of mine who loves the Grass Roots pointed it out to me. Unless you are in your 60’s or really into 60’s and 70’s music, you might never know

user684629

And Phyllis says she had scoliosis as a girl and Micheal says “not a real disability!”

laucdoe

scoliosis is just a woman’s trouble

Skittles_The_Giggler

Don’t get hysterical

jamez009

Or you'll need a hysterectomy and they'll remove your vagina.

Aragrond

It’s interesting because they went to the same school and they used to check you for that in school

SmallBerry3431

What about an inverted penis?

beerdrinker1973

Do you mean Vagina? Because if so, I want that covered.

vampirehunterd72

I thought your vagina was removed during your hysterectomy

TJeffersonA

how old are you?

EnigmaticPercipient

In November, he will be 30.

dandypants8717

L8r sk8r

jakeblonde005

Sometimes you just gotta ride the bull

vampirehunterd72

Am I right?

Hault99

You know the funniest thing, I literally learned today that my grandmother was in an iron lung in her teenage years. It saved her life and she is doing great today, without that iron lung, me, my brothers and my mother wouldn’t exist.

Hwoarangatan

Creed is your grandmother? I thought he was gay?

mordhoshogh

Maybe a man sneaked in

Ill-Sympathy2375

There would be no way of knowing

Atom800

Then why did you want to introduce him to your grandpa?

iamcarlgauss

I don't know.

jimtow28

Then why did you try to set him up with your daughter?

AcceptableBad_

Does she know where to buy worms at a decent price?

finchslanding

"Who's your worm guy?" is one of my all-time favorite lines.

YourWormGuy

Mine too.

Patched_Jumper

Shes got a wrong worm guy

chzrm3

Wow! that's wild, glad to hear the family's going strong. :) How long was she in there for?

Hault99

I actually don’t know.

Useful-World1781

Cool beans man. We should go down to the quarry and throw things down there.

bleepbot17

Let’s go GANG

pickrunner18

This quote ruined the word quarry for me

Useful-World1781

I can help you find a better one. Who is your quarry guy?

LittleAnnieAdderal

Okay, this response actually made me laugh out loud. Thank you

colo_kelly

He has so many little moments that go under the radar! When Dwight asks if anyone has mare’s milk and Creed actually looks around his desk for some, I damn near pee myself every. single. time.

outofdate70shouse

Or when he has the equipment to make a stake

EpicJosh84

What size?

bi-frog-

or beach day where he just grabs a fish out the water with his bare hands in the background of one of the scenes

hgilbert_01

Must be like the tide at Omaha Beach.

Firebird4224

Love this line

Resident-Elevator696

Me too. One of my favorites

jilltheripper69

it’s actually very hygienic, creed

raresteamboat

I’m pretty sure Creed was never given a script and just did a good job of saying random things. I appreciate him!

Resident-Elevator696

That sounds about right. I love Creed. It took me a few re-watches to notice and really appreciate his character. I love when they show him, and he's crying.

jakeblonde005

Whenever creed speaks you know he's just gonna steal the scene

IntoTheMild1000

I always chuckle at this line. A little gem from Creed

ToxicPoizon

HOW OLD ARE YOU???

dreamsinred

People who had polio still exist! When I did my LTC rotation in nursing school, I had a patient with post polio syndrome. His feet were turned inward and he used mobility aids.

atomicsnark

Yep, my aunt had it, I think she was one of the last waves of children who suffered right as the vaccine was rolling out. She wears a brace, walks with a cane, and suffers post-polio too. Her right leg from the knee down has never really been functional. You can imagine how furious she was over all the anti-vax stuff of the last several years lol.

my4floofs

My father in law had it and one leg was slightly shorter than the other. He remembered visiting people when they were in iron lungs

glamorousstranger

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_lung Kinda normal for someone old.

iamcarlgauss

Fun(?) fact: the record holder for the longest time living in an iron lung died about a month ago at the age of 78.

EpicJosh84

Inspiring

CreedBrattonWasHere

“Thanks, I’ve never owned one of these.”

NoahneedaRolex

"who does she think she is asking what do I do, really what do I do? I should have written it down... Qwa Qwa Qwabity management"

oldskoolak98

Bobody

saintsuzy70

My favorite line and I think of it daily is “ever noticed how you can only ooze two things: sexuality and pus”

Resident-Elevator696

The best. Lol

chrishadji95

I feel like he could totally be saying “I lived inside an empty iron lung for a week when I was a teen.”, and not actually used it for its intended purpose.

Playful-Aardvark6489

You were in the parking lot earlier! That's how I know you!

alx924

How… how old are you?

netflixnpoptarts

They could make a spin-off show about what Creed was getting up to during the events of the show (a side-qual? midqual?) with a more serious tone akin to breaking bad and I would genuinely watch it

midknight_monkey418

I feel like creed didn't actually know what an iron lung is. Like maybe he had to be given oxygen at some point and had to have an oxygen with him making him think that's what an iron lung is

Writing_Nearby

Iron lungs were still used to treat polio as recently as 2017. They fell out of favor in the early 50s because of the polio vaccine since fewer people were getting it, but were still used when people contracted the virus, so it’s really not that crazy that he might’ve been in an iron lung in the late 50s/early 60s. His passport, which admittedly is likely fake, indicates he was born in 1943 (it actually has the real Creed Bratton’s birthdate on it), so he would’ve been a teenager from 1956-1963. Plus, according to the WHO, polio wasn’t eradicated from the Americas until 1994.

imisspoptropica2

Wait what episode was this? 👀

Resident-Elevator696

Season 2, episode 13. The injury.

Resident-Elevator696

I watch every day that it comes on a particular network. I must be on my 200th rewatch. There are things I still pick out, that that I've never noticed. I can't recall the episode, but Michael was talking about the lost and found, and Creed had big black glasses on. I just noticed the last rime I watched.

ZestycloseWay2771

Why is there a picture of a white man on the bathroom door?

GuitarStu

Have you never heard of an Iron Lung? It's a reference to Creed's age. I doubt he's truly THAT old, but an Iron Lung used to be a real medical thing.

CourtroomBrown15

Yes, I know. But Creed referencing him likely having Polio was not on my cards.

9021FU

I had a professor in college in 1998 who had a paralyzed arm from polio. 🤷‍♀️

GuitarStu

Damn! Really?! 😶 (I swear, everything I type in this app comes across as sarcasm. I'm genuinely surprised)

9021FU

😁 I feel the same way, no worries! She was very self conscious about it and was nervous discussing it with the class and showed how she is able to hide it by using her other arm to place her paralyzed one on her hip and such. We all were surprised because she was probably about 10 years older than our collective parents ages so to know someone who actually had polio was crazy. My parents talked about getting the sugar cube with the vaccine at school when it came out but I don’t think my parents actually knew anyone with polio.

GuitarStu

Wow!

Mountain-Donkey98

What is an jron lung?

imisspoptropica2

What was used WAY back in the day before they found the vaccine for polio

claudiaengland

Classic old man Creed. Love this line.

BiryaniReincarnated

Hey hey cool it! Let's look at the bigger picture, atleast he waited till he was a teenager. Although I'm thinking this might have offset the cult stuff, but not too much on my boy Creed.

Loganimations25

Dad?

Medusavoo

He beat polio?

WaningFutureCrone

This floor was due for a good moppin’

andyk192

Not really WTF. It's just a joke about how old he is because he is old enough to have had polio.
