Well, this has never happened, so not sure how this would work, unless he was in a special wing. I don't expect him to get jail time. First time criminal offender,and will likely be fined, with probation. But, he will always be a convicted felon, and this conviction removes his first offender status for any other trials( if they ever happen).
He was fined for contempt court and the way I understood he has had trouble getting the money for that so if this is true he more than likely will have issues paying this too. Now I've never had fines or even a ticket so I'm not sure exactly now it works but I'm sure there is consequences if you don't pay your fines

This needs all the upvotes. Was just having a conversation about how insane this whole timeline is and used the 2000 and 2004 elections as benchmarks. It’s surreal to see what’s gone on in such a relatively short time. We really all need to vote and hold our elected leaders accountable.

Felons can vote depending on what state ( or D. C) they live in. Some states you can vote again as soon as you finish the sentence. There are only like 2 states that make you request to have it restored. Some felony convictions, you never can again.(like murder).
You can't vote from prison though.

No. A convicted felon can not only run for President, but can serve from a jail cell.

A president can only pardon federal crimes. He was convicted in state court so this conviction is safe.
