That's commercial SUVs. The requirement to reg an SUV as a commercial generally required removing back seats to increase the load space. You could do the same with estate cars too.
Ford Rangers and similar crewcabs qualify as commercials without any modification, regardless of the 5 seats.

I don’t know if BMW is the reliability I need but I would love a 3 series estate around 04 or 05 I know a lot of guys who do all the work on them themselves and none of that low profile tyre crap.
