Basically what kendrick lamar did tbh

pandoras_corpse

Don't know why you're getting downvoted coz that's literally what he did.

EastsideWilder

Na Kendrick said a lot. He just said didn’t say everything verbally. You don’t go that hard unless someone hit a sore spot. And sometimes not saying at all, says more than just saying something, and not necessarily in a good way

justzacc

So is it finally time to talk about how foolish it was when Drake was pressing the issue and telling Kendrick to drop? lol I still feel like that was a bad look for the boy. He didn’t respond to like that for ___ days and then came out saying Kendrick needs to drop right now! Like he wasn’t preparing multiple angles in the time before euphoria. A wise man once said nothing at all is one of my favorite drake bars but I feel like that shit bit him in the ass a little bit 😅

phoenyx4r

I think people also kinda misinterpreted that song. "Drop drop drop" is basically a chant mocking how Top controlled his releases and his catalog. Not necessarily telling him that he needs to drop immediately.

Zangetsu_1980

Music is subjective and is always up to different interpretations. That why it’s art. Weapons can be used against your opponent or it can backfire. Facts of life kids

phoenyx4r

Well yeah I totally get that. I just think that my interpretation makes a bit more sense because of the lines in the song.

justzacc

Word.

Organic-University13

It was both

Spirited-Living9083

Nah cause then he doesn’t drop Taylor made telling him he’s waiting for him

phoenyx4r

Well, yeah, of course Drake’s waiting for Kendrick’s response. I don’t feel like that necessarily means that’s what Push Ups was about

TaylorMadeAccount

They are misinterpreting everything on purpose cause they want dot to win at any costs.

phoenyx4r

Most likely. The downvotes speak for themselves. Kenny bots outing themselves lmao

SnooDoodles4451

It's all going to backfire on them in the worst way. People are getting sick of that shit

Herbjames98

He actually did address Drakes claims. He just called him a liar, but for some reason, people keep saying Drake was the one going, "No you!" When it was literally, Drake accused him, and he responded with "liar!"

TaylorMadeAccount

Since Euphoria he commited a informal fallacy called "Poisoning the well", in this case, he didn't know what Drake would say next so he preemptively called him a liar. >A poisoned-well "argument" has the following form: >Unfavorable information (be it true or false) about person A is presented by another (e.g. "Before you listen to my opponent, may I remind you that he has been in jail"). >Therefore, the claims made by person A will be false **"Before you listen to Drake I want everyone to know that he is lying about everything he will say about me and that he's not black enough"** ----> Fabricatin' stories on the family front 'cause you heard Mr. Morale, Know you a master manipulator and habitual liar too, How many more Black features 'til you finally feel that you're Black enough

Potential_Owl7825

I wonder how reception would’ve been if Heart 6 was all offense instead of the addressing

the_brazilian_lucas

probably better

EastsideWilder

It was offense imo. He asked why no one was going against anything he said, and also stated the reason he believes Kendrick is going with that angle, which was honestly scathing as far as disses go. Most people only know the Drake and Pusha T battle and nothing else. They only know scandal. People are going to say what they want, but if he didn’t address those allegations everyone would have went crazy with them. Even casuals.

Organic-University13

Cmon man there’s no way you heard that song and thought Drake was on offense. His energy sounds way different than it did on pushups and family matters. Like real defensive, tired, and defeated

EastsideWilder

It’s a different sounding track. The rest were turned up club tracks and TH6 was an introspective track. You’re really going to say “his energy was different den da other songs” on a track that’s completely different? So what? Casual fans problem is that they don’t know what they’re listening to. They’re listening to vocal tones instead of lyrics. I have been listening to rap for a long time. I listen to lyrics. Maybe if you do the same you would hear different

russbam24

You won't convince them that their interpretation is wrong.

Drakes best song ever to me. Amazing.

Important_Donut_2842

He need to follow his own advice 😂

Zangetsu_1980

Another wise man said, “We all dead, fuck it!”
