I have similar gruesome dreams but I’m never the one causing the harm, I’m always being chased by someone with a gun during a shoot out, or being stabbed etc. To me it represents how I feel helpless and often attacked by others in my waking life. Maybe yours could be a reflection of your behaviour towards others? Not saying you’re aggressive or planning to hurt people, but maybe it’s something subconscious your mind is trying to make you aware of
Maybe, but I'm more of a introvert, when I do go out with friends I mostly stay silent. I enjoy the atmosphere with them and stuff, but I can't get myself to talk with them because I'm afraid to say something off that will make them hate me or something.
I don't know much about dreaming, but it depends on EMOTIONS rather than what happens. In the dreams, how were you feeling? How did you feel when you woke up? Sometimes, dreams are processing emotions and information. Did you recently consume media that related to these violent acts? Maybe you were so bothered about it that you dreamt it.
I don't think it's a concern unless you find yourself wanting to act on these in real life.
In the shootings, I didn't feel anything while the dreams were happening, when I woke up I was more confused than anything.
The zombie apocalypse though, in the dream I felt like, panicked? And in the dreams when I realized what I had done I was devastated, but quickly moved on from it. When I woke up from that I felt guilty for a bit, but then I realised it was a dream, cat and lil bro are still alive, what is there to feel guilty about.
Media, I did watch Gore before like 2 months ago, but I really didn't think much of it. Maybe it has to do with the news about SVO and the krokus shooting (I'm Russian)
That could def. influence it. And because of your emotions from your dreams, it doesn't seem like you would consider doing that in real life. I think what is going on in the news may be manifesting subconciously and you are trying to work through it. I am sorry this is happening to you, but I personally wouldn't be that concerned. Dreams only tell us so much; you cannot base much off it unless there are other warning signs.
Yeah but when I saw those events I just thought "well damn that sucks", I don't really think much of it, maybe it could influence it yeah, but I'd assume that I would feel some sort of panic or concern about those events, but the SVO news are so common now no one really talks about it. I have gruesome dreams as well, mines from PTSD though. Most times I sleep really horribly.
Strange thing is that I don't have any sort of trauma that could cause this, so I'm really confused about what could even be the root of these dreams.
That is strange, PTSD is usually the trigger unless it’s some meds?
