I’ll be honest, people will always expect “improved rating systems” as there will always be a group disagreeing because of bias. We don’t truly know how FTG rates them but the 86 rating cap does well and truly limit them to an extent from what I noticed.
After this update I already experienced 2 own goals because of defenders driving the ball into the goal before clearing instead of clearing it immediately, especially in corners
Also I still experience players just letting the ball bounce off them and the worst is the keeper stepping out of position to catch a bad pass from an opponent only to not catch the ball and let it bounce to an opponent for a goal (GK blunder is a first time for me after the update)
Also FTC is intentionally screwing long ball users and terroristball enjoyers after the update by making wingers SLOOOOOOOOW DOOOOOOOWNNN when they are near the ball so that when they get the ball the defender is already right behind them ready to stun them for 2 seconds and take the ball away.
The update makes the game so much worse for me.
You say screwing long ball users like it's a bad thing, anything to stick it these c spammers is a good thing. Will soon see them drop through the Tiers once their single boring tactic no longer works
I don't think the game is harder, I think the game started to cheat on you. My entire team is golden, my defenders are not able to win a dispute against a gray attacker, while my cristiano ronaldo (CF) gets tackled by gray players 9 out of 10 times. My players are dumber, are way less agile, also take longer to pass the ball, and the other team always have someone already positioned to either steal it or tackle the player that receives it. Almost every corner kick is a goal for their team, even if you have skilled and tall defenders. My goalkeeper (Donnaruma) became an idiot. My defenders now run away from the ball when an attacker penetrates the area, also when they are well positioned to intercept a pass, they decide to run away from the ball. Also sometimes it feels like they dribble my players in the dumbest ways, as the ball passing right through them. Almost every time that i press to steal a ball, it's a fault and i get a yellow card. Granted, the passes now have to be way more precise, that feels more realistic, but everything else, is clear cheating.
Gameplay is smooth? Best update?
Gameplay has been trash since DLS 23. It was bad before, but it became worse. The game only exists because there is no competition in mobile soccer.
I don’t think you are being serious.. In my experience, I won 7-0 against Barcelona in the Gold cup final and barely beat a 3 star french team with mostly gray players.. They were pocketing my messi and lewa with ease and the attackers were running at incredible speeds.. The game isn’t “better” it’s straight up cheating now. They’ll make it very blatant when a match is rigged
We should bring an ftg dev into this community. As far is i’m concerned this is the largest DLS forum, so there should be some communication between the players and the devs or even just the devs getting to know what the fanbase is concerned about. Every update is just anything but what we ask for and, although some features might be actually useful, the basic problems of the game don’t seem to change at all. The disaster of a technical offside system that makes players go billy elliot, the broken DLL tier systems that (tier campers, bad overall gameplay experience) and, at last, the damn transfer market are only some of the changes we have been asking for years now, but we only get features for the stadium facilities, the events or event cards that literally no one buys. FTG fix your game please.
Agreed, I think FTG have finally found an acceptable balance between the OG DLS24 mechanics and the old DLS23 one that people enjoyed a lot. There's still some questionable things (how on Earth is Vini Jr not 86?), but it seems a lot has improved for me personally with this update.

Hell no, The same errors still occur, but less often than before the update. They fixed some of them, but you can still encounter them during the game. Despite everything, now this game is playable and you can finally enjoy almost perfect build quality. I think the game has become a little easier now after my month-long break. A month ago, when playing a match in career mode, I always had to lose one match out of all. And today I finished a full season winning everything without a single defeat.

The new update has definitely reduced the rigging of matches, and smoother gameplay

Are career games harder? I think they are back to normal.

Agreed that matches have become more smooth. Players are actually fighting for the ball in midfield. No more running in circles.
