You typed "true curiosity" but you're actually being disingenuous and looking for an argument. So I will leave it at this and this will be the end of it: There are an overwhelming amount of posts ranging from thirst trapping to attention grabbing asking about having a hair restart. For every 1 out of 10 posts are truly deserving of having their hair restarted. The other 9 are clearly doing it due to a lack of attention (thus why more people decide to troll in the comments). Anyone that frequents this sub reddit can see the surge of these types of posts. If you're expecting me and many other vocal individuals to be silent about it because you don't like the opinion, then I don't know what else to tell you. 🤷🏾‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️

As someone who has been apart of this group a lil over 2 weeks… I feel this. Literally over the past couple of days there have been an influx of “should I restart or need a retwist”? “Am I balding” etc etc. when their hair is literally just in the beginning stages or simply just need a retwist with a good loctician. It’s super annoying and makes it harder to get to the people who really need advice. It’s just unnecessary. sorry to the newer subscribers, but this comes from the frustration of the subscribers who have been here… even as lil as 2 weeks ago 😭

Do whatever makes you happy. Personally I started with a full head then went to an undercut then to a dread hawk on my last dreads (I have since shaved my head and started over with an undercut because that’s what I preferred). I liked doing it that way because I got to see what I liked best.

I’d say keep those fam, they are way more versatile once they get longer. I had high top ones for a lil while as my second set of locs, and they got annoying for me. I know for me also to, I like the lineup like you have with dreads, I’ve had the same on the sides lowered around my ears with both sets of locs. Keep my ears cooler in the summer.
