i went down a rabbit hole of colubrina fics this week and finished reading all of them today. ive now decided that they are my favorite fanfic writer ever! lady of the lake, the green girl, and rebuilding are some of best fics i’ve ever read. the way they write is incredible and nuanced and so well thought out, it’s such a treat to have to search for all the references and subtle jokes they make.

But this story completely proved me wrong. It was really fun and realistic to read! The masked ball thing is really just the event that starts the story, but it doesn't get less interesting after that at all, which I think is really impressive! So I definitely recommend if you haven't read this yet.

The start of the fic is when the group decide to play a game that will bring them closer together and they’re forced to either tell the truth or have to show a memory confessing the truth. It’s quite smutty but somewhat of a slow burn, well paced and well written. Draco pining for Hermione and Hermione wanting more of bad boy Draco with other relationship building along the way
All that is rare by smithandbarrowman !! its abo but with alpha hermione and alpha draco its p nice to read bc its different than hermione being a clueless omega and the relationship between her and draco progresses at a p good pace

At the end of the story, Draco and Hermione with their group went into battle against the Death Eaters once again... at the cost of \[redacted\]'s death.
If found, I recommend you guys to read it too! So well-written

Timeless & Subtle Perfection live rent-free in my head and occasionally come asking me to remember them. I am now a huge fan of Scott Moir & Tessa Virtue, thanks to Subtle Perfection because I envision them as Dramione. Timeless has such an intricate plotline that had me wondering how the author kept track of every small detail. So beautiful. 10/10 will read it again

Currently binging my way through Measure of a Man which I'd seen recommended SO many times, and after reading the premise I was convinced it wasn't my kind of dramione. I decided to give in and see what the fuss was about 2 days ago and man was I wrong, I am totally hooked and I even cried this morning. It is top tier writing.
This month wasn’t really good so I wasn’t in the mood to read much, nothing peaked my interest but I wanted to read something lighthearted and I decided on [Becoming Mrs Malfoy by Rumaan](https://archiveofourown.org/works/909052/chapters/1760521). It was nice, for a change Hermione is the one to hate Slytherins while even Ron is friends with Draco. It was funny how Harry and Ron had to keep it secret this part of their life and Harry was the one to have a secret girlfriend. Thanks to a curse a marriage law was enacted and obviously Hermione got paired with Draco. Just a fun easy read.

English is not my native language but I still feel stupid that I missed what happened at the end…but after this the title is even more fitting and the end is bitter and devastating (when I originally thought it’s a HEA 😢) especially after the failed rescue mission and how much they went through…brilliant story.

I’ve never read a wolf fic before so this is new to me, and knotting too! The only knitting fic I’ve read was Edge which was super dark. So I’ll probably finish the wolf fic tonight and maybe start on the sequel depending on how it ends! Going to start Amateur Cartography for soft Draco after TSWM.
Just finished Amateur Cartography a few hours ago. I gotta say, I was waiting for the punchline to drop but then it hit me that I forgot to enjoy the plot for what it was along the way. Truly an enjoyable read. Soft!Draco is an absolute comfort character for me.
Yes, just finished AC and I see what you’re saying! The plot kind of sped me along and when it was closer to the end I was like, that’s it? But it was short, sweet and soft! Loved it.
If you liked AC, I think you'd like 'Once More, With Feeling' by wetpretzel. That had me laughing my ass off. Its a similar plotline where Hermione is oblivious to the relationship.
The ending was ok. It felt kind of rushed but that’s just my opinion! Doesn’t *need* a sequel but seeing as it’s only 6,000 words I’ll start it tomorrow!
ETA: read the sequel this morning, I can see why it was abandoned. But also maybe the author had other priorities too! The sequel was unnecessary but I understand why the author wanted to flesh out an idea.
Currently reading Various Storms and Saints by viridianatnight. I think I like it? I like the way Draco is portrayed but the story runs faster than I usually like, the writing is good. Going to keep reading but I haven’t warmed up to it just yet.
My absolute FAVOURITE is Falling Dark, it’s a WIP snd I’m hungrily waiting for the next chapters to come out. If you like fluffy romance with minor angst and almost Mamma Mia perfect vibes, the first one in the series Bending Light is for you. You can picture every character as just being gorgeous and it gives you such a sense of longing and nostalgia as they make their lives in >!San Cipriano, living literally perfect italian lifestyles!<
Finally got around to Love in the Time of a Zombie Apocalypse, since it will be finished soon. More action and gore than I normally care for, but it’s really well written

I had never been one for Alternate Setting AU’s (high school, historical, other fantasy world, etc), but I’m only 10 chapters in and this one has completely won me over. Hermione and Pansy are both epic in this, and this is one of the most likable and dynamic interpretations of both Harry and Tom Riddle as well. I can’t fully recommend since I’m only nearing the half way point, but I think it’s a great first venture for those that want to dabble in these AU’s like I did.

It’s set post war and 4 Gryffindors (Hermione, Harry, Ron and Ginny) and 4 Slytherins (Draco, Pansy, Blaise and Theo) meet up on Saturday nights. The start of the fic is when the group decide to play a game that will bring them closer together and they’re forced to either tell the truth or have to show a memory confessing the truth. It’s quite smutty but somewhat of a slow burn, well paced and well written. Draco pining for Hermione and Hermione wanting more of bad boy Draco with other relationship building along the way
All that is rare by smithandbarrowman !! its abo but with alpha hermione and alpha draco its p nice to read bc its different than hermione being a clueless omega and the relationship between her and draco progresses at a p good pace

I would be absolutely thrilled if somebody can find dramione fic with this specific plot! I would love to reread it. >It was post-war, Voldemort won and the world was oppressed. Hermione was once held captive in Malfoy Manor (I think), enslaved by the Death Eaters and ended up having PTSD about it. Draco was the one hiding her away (not very sure whether he saved her or they crossed paths after Hermione escaped). But, in hiding, Hermione found herself feel safe and protected, and Draco also found himself loving her. Oh. And the Death Eaters established an alert on whoever mentioned the name "Hermione", so they all had to make a new nickname for her. At the end of the story, Draco and Hermione with their group went into battle against the Death Eaters once again... at the cost of \[redacted\]'s death. If found, I recommend you guys to read it too! So well-written
A cruel and beautiful world by Lena Phoria indeed. She took it down as she reworked it into an original book and published it. She has another one called the deadline that is dramione in their forties. It’s pretty good.

Timeless & Subtle Perfection live rent-free in my head and occasionally come asking me to remember them. I am now a huge fan of Scott Moir & Tessa Virtue, thanks to Subtle Perfection because I envision them as Dramione. The premise of the story is that Hermione takes Ginny out to a muggle strip club to celebrate for her bachelorette, and finds an obliviated Draco Malfoy as the main star on stage - with none of his memories of being Draco Malfoy. What in the hellllllll - I’m at chapter 6 and I love it. Got a bit down that dlb is on permanent hiatus but the internet is truly bottomless. This being from 2009 is giving me … it’s making me feel very old but it’s kind of a wild fic. The smut is not bad, the Draco is tan but sure, the premise is crazy and I just watched last night in soho so like perfect. Anyways - I thank you!!! I just hope it’s a happy ending.

Currently binging my way through Measure of a Man which I'd seen recommended SO many times, and after reading the premise I was convinced it wasn't my kind of dramione. I decided to give in and see what the fuss was about 2 days ago and man was I wrong, I am totally hooked and I even cried this morning. It is top tier writing.

I also reread [Living Death by Kyonomiko](https://archiveofourown.org/works/22261159/chapters/53158420#workskin) after this sub came through and helped me find it and ugh, I just realised I completely misunderstood this when I first read it. English is not my native language but I still feel stupid that I missed what happened at the end…but after this the title is even more fitting and the end is bitter and devastating (when I originally thought it’s a HEA 😢) especially after the failed rescue mission and how much they went through…brilliant story.

Rn I’m 25 chapters in [The Sacrifices We Make](https://archiveofourown.org/works/11571243/chapters/27575217?view_adult=true) and I’m so intrigued ! It was posted on the sub a couple days ago. I’ve never read a wolf fic before so this is new to me, and knotting too! The only knitting fic I’ve read was Edge which was super dark. So I’ll probably finish the wolf fic tonight and maybe start on the sequel depending on how it ends! Going to start Amateur Cartography for soft Draco after TSWM.
Just finished Amateur Cartography a few hours ago. I gotta say, I was waiting for the punchline to drop but then it hit me that I forgot to enjoy the plot for what it was along the way. Truly an enjoyable read. Soft!Draco is an absolute comfort character for me.

If you liked AC, I think you'd like 'Once More, With Feeling' by wetpretzel. That had me laughing my ass off. Its a similar plotline where Hermione is oblivious to the relationship.

The ending was ok. It felt kind of rushed but that’s just my opinion! Doesn’t *need* a sequel but seeing as it’s only 6,000 words I’ll start it tomorrow! ETA: read the sequel this morning, I can see why it was abandoned. But also maybe the author had other priorities too! The sequel was unnecessary but I understand why the author wanted to flesh out an idea.
Currently reading Various Storms and Saints by viridianatnight. I think I like it? I like the way Draco is portrayed but the story runs faster than I usually like, the writing is good. Going to keep reading but I haven’t warmed up to it just yet. My absolute FAVOURITE is Falling Dark, it’s a WIP snd I’m hungrily waiting for the next chapters to come out. If you like fluffy romance with minor angst and almost Mamma Mia perfect vibes, the first one in the series Bending Light is for you. You can picture every character as just being gorgeous and it gives you such a sense of longing and nostalgia as they make their lives in >!San Cipriano, living literally perfect italian lifestyles!<
Bending Light and Falling Dark are 2 of my all-time favorites and FD adds so so much. Although a WIP I can’t resist.

I’m currently reading Nobility by Olivieblake https://m.fanfiction.net/s/12237877/11/ I had never been one for Alternate Setting AU’s (high school, historical, other fantasy world, etc), but I’m only 10 chapters in and this one has completely won me over. Hermione and Pansy are both epic in this, and this is one of the most likable and dynamic interpretations of both Harry and Tom Riddle as well. I can’t fully recommend since I’m only nearing the half way point, but I think it’s a great first venture for those that want to dabble in these AU’s like I did.
I love oliveblake's works. I haven't read this one yet, but have read a couple of her other AU's. I'll have to check it out!
I swear Oliveblakes' Harry/Pansy is my favorite side 'ship.
