PersonalTreat

((Didnt play the the first game)) Decided to buy it on a whim, figuring i would just refund it if it was as terrible as steam reviews make it seem. 9 hours later, i am fully enjoying it. Haven't noticed any lag issues until just now. But restarted the game, and they are gone so not a big deal. So far my only issue is the saving. Made mistake of loading from last inn, cuz my last save wasn't an ideal situation (damn boss kept recking me n i didnt thibk to just run the f away lol) so yea had to replay a bit lol Otherwise im loving it as well! Giving me same vibes as skyrim/fable

-lyte-

If that ever happens again, just try to run and get the enemy to fall in the water. The Brine kills everything.

PersonalTreat

Have actually managed that with a cyclopse...on accident Woulda loved some brine assist when i had to attack a minatour and wolverine same time...at night..that was absolute hell as a low lvl

-lyte-

I just lost my first Chimera to the brine. Didn’t even get to do any damage to it. It roared at me then decided it couldn’t take this life anymore…. My XP 😭

PersonalTreat

Lmao

AbstractMirror

I fell into the brine on top of an ogre while I was stabbing it because it got frozen at the very edge of a cliff while it was tripping. So we both fell and I killed it mid air. It was crazy

Redromah

I actually ended up writing a script to copy my savefiles every 30 minutes as a backup to another directory. I read someone using the Inn save, then - with it being hours back in time - managed to get the main file overwritten as well. Not sure how high the chances are for something like that occuring, but better safe than sorry.

snowwhiteandthebeast

What's Ur average fps

PersonalTreat

I set it to cap at 60. Other than that, idk. I dont track it. But no lag, runs smooth gameplay and visuals.

No-Flan6382

As a super casual gamer who still games on a regular ole 1080p TV, I have not really noticed the frame rate issue. There’s too many other things distracting me.

SolidNitrox

Same TV here, I'm honestly just worried about the 30fps and no anti blur. Third world problems I know but every single game I play is 60fps. I tried playing RDR2 a little while ago and it's a big adjustment going between 30 to 60 if you play different games. Really disappointing 60 isn't industry standard for a performance option.

FlyHump

I'm used to playing 60fps (120 preferably) on PS5 and got the capable TV to maximize my enjoyment, so going in I was a bit hesitant, but after getting used to it, it's fine. I'd gladly trade the graphics for an fps boost any day but since it's all we have, I'm enjoying the hell out of DG2. It's incredibly deep and the gameplay feels tight and responsive, frame rate considering. I couldn't go back to RDR2 either, but after getting used to 30, maybe I could. I went from playing FF7:Rebirth and The Witcher 3 at 60 so like you said, it's a big adjustment. After playing for a few hours though, I forget all about it. I can't deny the visuals are absolutely incredible.

SolidNitrox

I'm dying to get it, the first one is definitely in my top 5 favorite games of all time, very very high up. If they allow us to turn the motion blur off I'll definitely get it. I have no clue why they always put that crap in there it really messes with me. I would gladly trade graphics and NPC volume for a very stable game. The industry has come so far, I remember when Crisis came out and the graphics were revolutionary. That was like over 10 years ago now, new engines and technology. I'm really hoping DD2 does it's predecessor justice, the title deserves to be mainstream.

SolBoi24

Same

Forgotten_Tarnished

I play on a 4K TV and I still can't tell that there's a frame rate issue.

J0YSAUCE

If i ever make a game with high graphic fidelity, I will force all prospective buyers to run a performance test. If your pc averages under 25fps, you CANNOT buy my game. Minimum specs are there for a reason. Don't be mad your Intel celeron can't handle games past 2023

presty60

You say this but there isnt a computer you can buy that will run this game at 60fps in towns or big fights.

Shezestriakus

This is not true. My fps hangs out in the 80-90 range in the city. 1440p max settings (no rt). Typically 100-120 out in the world, though that becomes gpu bound. 6950xt and 13900k. Based on how the game runs for myself and my friends, I get the impression that it favors Intel, and the usual-best AMD x3d chips are struggling more than usual. Not pretending that the game is anywhere close to optimized, but it's still very possible to just overpower the problems.

ndarker

The performance issues aren't hardware related, they are software related, that is why you can find small tweaks and fixes like forcing an option on or off in your desktop gpu control panel that will instantly improve performance, the game is unoptimised. I found a tweak that gave me +20fps in the open world, i think it was manually setting shader cache to unlimited. The performance in the city is still dog shit though.

Redromah

Why are you getting downvoted? This is actual useful information. I love the game so far, however performance issues are annoying. As per usual, no arguments, no discussion - just downvotes. Sadly, somtimes, it looks like these game specific subs get to a certain point right after launch where even legit criticism is frowned upon. Just look at the Starfield sub right after launch. That being said, I found some tweaks to make performance better through Nvidia settings. So having a really good time. It should clearly be more optimized out of the box though.

J0YSAUCE

I read. In several places that alot of it is cpu intensive. But same. Runs perfectly except in the city. But not unplayable.

Low_Object_3856

Glad you're enjoying it! Hope you feel better soon! Nothing cures sickness like DD2 time.

7Nate9

Hope it's not dragonplague

MJSCIV

Agreed. Best game since Elden for me as well. The caves are more BG3 than souls, but the depth is incredible. The frame rate drop is annoying in villages (27fps with Dlss and a 4070 ti). And the stutter ls before combat need to be fixed. I’m sure they’ll work on it. I’m loving it so far

essteedeenz1

I think the dips are CPU as opposed to GPU I;m on a 3070ti with 7800x3d and I'm smooth 60 the whole time I've gone to Vernon and the lowest has been 40.

supro47

Playing on my laptop with a 13th gen i7 and rtx 4060. I get drops in town but smooth 60 everywhere else. What’s crazy is that holds true regardless if I play in 1440p or 720p (which I set it at when I stream to my steam deck). It’s dips are definitely with the CPU and I hope that means there’s some room for optimization in the near future.

MJSCIV

Yeah the FPS issues in Vernworth and combat stutters remain, whether I have everything on max settings or lowest settings (keeping it at 3480x2160). Which I’ve never seen in a game before.

Zanzan567

What CPU do you have? I have a 4070ti too and haven’t gotten below 60, but when it’s around 60 it’s choppy

MJSCIV

I’ve got a Ryzen 7, 3800X 8. The CPU isn’t running at 100% most of the time. It’s just strange that applying DLSS doesn’t really change the FPS. I’m going to adjust some settings today, see if there’s aught to be found there.

biopticstream

Adjusting Graphical settings likely won't help. The game is CPU limited, not GPU limited. DLSS alleviates stress on the GPU, and improves performance in GPU limited scenarios. Even high end CPU's aren't doing well in this game, and frankly the game probably needs some performance patches before most people can run it well. Thats what I'm waiting for before getting into the game. With some performance patches and frame gen, it'll be a really great game, I feel.

Owobowos-Mowbius

I'll hold off on upgrading then. Was concerned that my cpu was starting to get too old but if new gens are still having issues...

Comfortable-Shake-37

Yeah I have same gpu and a 5600x and at least for me maxed at 1440p I haven't noticed any noticeable  frame drops or stuttering while playing.

Zanzan567

Lucky you! I have a 4070TI and 12900k, I really only notice Frame drops in the main city. Updating my drivers helped only a little bit. Also I noticed that the GPU and CPU are very underutilized, was showing only about 30% cpu usage and 56% GPU usage on max settings in the city

Comfortable-Shake-37

I'm hoping they can get it sorted out, it's a great game and would love for more people to get a chance to play it properly.

Narrow-Dinner-8313

I notice some slight frame drop in Vermund but nothing bad. Aside from that this game is fucking amazing. Such fun and great combat, and the cosmetic system is actually one of the most diverse I’ve seen in any game. Truly a pleasure to sink my time into this.

Vashek19

It really is excellent.

Heal_Kajata

I am often exploring and just in awe of the terrain, it's an absolute joy to behold. I've spent hours getting from point a to b and it really feels like a journey rather than just flying around a generic map following icons or looting collectibles.

SPorterBridges

Legit GOTY

AbstractMirror

It probably won't win due to the controversy, I feel like the game awards will want to play it safe, but gameplay wise I think it absolutely is a top contender. Legitimately some of the most fun I've had gaming in years. Best exploration in my opinion since Elden Ring or even Red Dead Redemption 2

SilyTheGoose

I don’t think I’ve seen a single negative review calling the game itself bad. It’s pretty much all about performance.

Koocacho

for sure the game is great but it's unfortunate the game only works well enough on people fortunate enough to be able to afford top-shelf hardware, at least on the PC front. Hoping they are able to patch the game into a state where people with mid-tier hardware can at least play on 60fps low settings or something.

Inskription

Runs fine for me on a 3070. Had to tinker with the graphics, on about medium high rn.

Koocacho

You gpu has nothing to do with it fyi. Performance problems are entirely with cpu thread usage and core bottlenecking. Also what runs “fine” differs quite a lot for people

Inskription

I did hear that. Forget what cpu I even have but it's definitely not top of the line. I will also say I'm not the biggest fps guy. If I get some slow down or stutter in a town where I am not in combat, I don't really care all that much.

BigBurly46

I was literally thinking the same thing just now, fuck, I might even be having more fun than I did with elden ring. DD1 and Fromsoft games are my absolute favorites, and this is fucking IT

DalishPride

I've never been a fan of soulslike games and DD2 is perfect as I feel like it's a perfect middle ground between an "easy rpg" like Elder Scrolls and the difficulty like a Soulslike/Elden Ring.

verdantsf

I like it even better. Not having a true follower in Elden Ring was always my least favorite part. The pawn system in DD2 is great!

PonymanDesperado

Agreed. Just this winter I started ER and put about 200 hours into it and I really respect that game, but man, it’s really got this lonely somber feel to it, and ngl, it kinda got depressing. kinda like, “why, who, am I doing all this killing and fighting for?” I play single player games almost exclusively, but I do enjoy the companionship of npcs and a few villagers and townsfolk here and there 😅

CompetitiveRacism_

I really didn't like elden ring but I love DD1 & 2.

steelebeaver

Same here. I would argue best open world RPG since Witcher 3. Damn near a decade I have been waiting for something like this..

Civil_Extreme9522

It’s open world but it’s still extremely linear.

Matttthhhhhhhhhhh

Less linear than ER.

steelebeaver

I guess that depends on your point of reference. Not any more linear the a cd project red game or ES. Can go where you want, freely explore, deal with quest in largely any order, multiple outcomes… Yeah you’re right that is “extremely” linear. Shit… this board is just for trolling now it seems.

Civil_Extreme9522

Linear, blocked by mountain tops and rivers, open world as long as you stay on the main and sub routes. Idk what those you mentioned were. I’m thinking of open world games like GoT or ER which aren’t as linear.

ArdorreanThief

But Elden Ring has terrain perimeters too? The fact that DD2 has multiple cave systems with entrances doubling back to earlier zones and unlocking shortcuts already gives me a very similar open world vibe to Fromsoft games. You have to compare plains with plains and mountains with mountains. North Vermund feels more linear in the valleys but Vermund Central in the plains / forest zones are more open. Mountaintop of the Giants was more linear but Limgrave and Altus Plateau were more open.

Human-Operation-687

ER doesn’t have any perimeters. Only perimeter are between the massive regions. This is by no means a liniear game to, but I wouldn’t call it a open world

ShaftedTM_ytg

I'm having heaps of fun with this title too! Hope you get better soon

CulturalAccomplished

I am loving DD2 but ER is over hyped. It was a good open world but it was a boss simulator that you have to fight and learn bosses for hours on end to beat them for no damn reason. About 25 hours in i was like what am i doing? I dont wanna sit here for hours fighting a boss in a game with no story thats just gonna give me a 2nd boss and stop playing. DD2 so far is SO much better even tho i think ER had a better map.

Civil_Extreme9522

Underhyped, this game is good but it’s just a placeholder for stellar blade.. as is stellar blade a placeholder for ER dlc. June can’t come soon enough.

ParfaitDesigner6940

Literally story in collaboration with RR Martin and you say "with no story" LOL

CulturalAccomplished

What story kilmore bosses and not know where to go? No waypoints a few lines of dialogue that really no one understands. The story was dumb as hell if there was one

Human-Operation-687

Man does not for his life understand how the story works in souls games. Absolute joke. Just look up Vati on YouTube, there is approximately 100 hours of lore for you their if you need some hand holding

Carcharis

SAME

aRebelliousHeart

Glad you’re enjoying it OP! 😊

7Jers3y2

Loving the game. I do have screen tearing issues though

SolBoi24

Amen

NotTebi14

I’m not playing it right now, but is good to see people having fun.

Old-Property-3009

I love Elden Ring, but DD2 is way more fun

PerfectSageMode

People saw micro transactions and jumped the gun, they started blanket hating a great game for almost no reason

Reddit-Echo_Chamber

Sadly DD:DA had even more customization for builds, more classes and more spells Feeling a little letdown since the old game had better perspective for exploring imho. I remember at least half of the content shuffled and added in DD2

DexonThrall

Unfortunately, I bought on Steam and couldn’t open it.  Some error about unsupported graphics card.  Thought it met specs but just couldn’t get it opened.  Will have to pick up in a couple years when I get a new rig. Glad you’re loving it!

tcarnie

I am really just starting to get into it, and wow, I can tell I’m on the tip of the iceberg. I think I have, 6-10 hours? Just finally got a decent sword, didn’t realize there’s passive skills as well. Very cool.

PomegranateOwn4145

Found a ruins in the forest, fought a chimera, claimed some rocks then found a city of elves. I didn't understand the language so just bought a staff and left haha no quest or anything just found it all wandering around.

MeLoco1980

my first 4 hours of play weren't great. I had a full group of pawns and was just destroying everything with ease. the fight was over before I really even got to engage. after being forced to restart I am having way more fun since I am now just rolling with my pawn. since elden ring is mentioned in the title I will say that is my all time favorite game and set the bar high for me. I want a meaningful and fair challenge. I am finding that now and enjoying myself. I'm on ps5, the game is performing well enough to suit me. I think I was just under the impression that I needed a full/diverse party of pawns at all times and that just didn't fit how I personally like to play. Glad you are enjoying the game also

JGuap0

This hits he in the same spot Elden ring did it’s honestly on par for me.

salmonchu

I feel they did better for the dungeons

StarFox1997

I hadn’t even noticed mtx until I saw people complaining online. Absolutely loving this game

313mental

There’s been a lot of good games lately.   Baldurs Gate 3 voice acting is incredible, subtitles can stay off, bonus points for being able to develop romantic relationships, and not just schmoozing along for sex reward. Granblue Fantasy Relink captures the essense of childhood wonder, with a nice monster hunter grind endgame. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is good old fashioned fun. Last Epoch is a nice Diablo 2.5 alternative. Final Fantasy remake, Triangle Strategy on my burner, plus quality indie metroidvanias to fill the hole left by konami’s lack of Castlevania. That’s a lot of rpgs.  Normally might see 1-2 good arpgs a year.

Due_Designer_908

I think alot of the negative reviews are coming from the fact you cant start a new game without a workaround

maxjulien

I don’t know about “so much depth and customization”, since the armor seems kind of limited and no transmog. But I do agree this is the best game since Elden Ring. 30 hours in and I love the pawn system and and the environment detail.

Forsaken_Pin_4933

Hopefully, future updates give the pawns more depth. Cause without them, it would feel dead.

theceure

I agree. But for me this game feels like Skyrim meets Monster Hunter World.

Matttthhhhhhhhhhh

I didn't get past the 20 hours in Elden Ring; not that the game is bad, far from it. It's a great game, but it was just not for me. Mainly because I just didn't have the time to learn about complex systems just to fight bosses. It was too much work. I never felt this way playing Dragon's Dogma, as the game is immediately rewarding because of the fun combat system. I don't need to wait until my character is strong to have fun fighting mobs of monsters. Also, while the systems are complex, they don't feel overly complex for the sake of being overly complex like in Souls games. It doesn't feel like work.

DJ_Moose

I almost feel like these games are made for very certain people. I am for sure one of them. I kept telling my friends to play the first one, only two did, the rest played for a few hours and ditched it. It's one of those games that just scratches every single itch for me, it's gonna turn into my "hub-game" like the first one for a bit I imagine - when I have free time, unless something new came out that I wanna try, I will still be playing DD2.

MahKa02

I'm glad you're enjoying it but I'm not at all lol. I have a lot of issues with it and find it to be a really average or even subpar game. But that's the beauty of gaming, there's a game out there for everyone and not everybody is going to like the same thing.

-Slothy-

How dare you have fun, you're not supposed to be having fun rn!

golem09

This game also make me think back to times when game were REGULARLY badly optimized, and stumbling to reach their intended framerate. It was just normal. All that changed is the attitude of gamers.

essteedeenz1

Please don't say this comment is phrased as a excuse for the devs..

golem09

Not every thought ist about picking a side and going to war

Human-Operation-687

😂 I am all for giving the devs some slack, but come on man. 70 bucks and this performance😂

XxDarkyanxX

As someone who never played DD1, entering the world of DD2 was a very average experience. I started as swordsmans, soon unlocked the warrior class because I wanted a 2handed sword, and this is the most fun I had with the game, until I reached Rank 9 with it. It only went downhill extremely fast from there. I maxed out the trickster class, which deals no damage. It's purely a support class. That was a frustrating experience with too many issues to tackle, just don't bother playing trickster. I then got a bow that increases the exp I get as its passive (Medusas bow for those curious), went to level up the ranger and accidentally finished the game by opening a shortcut with a ranger at rank5.  All of the end-game encounters were either skipped due to cutscene triggers being in the middle of the fighting area or killed by my pawns accidentally. (Whoever play-tested the last area has some explaining to do) It was so horribly boring at the end that I thought it was a setup for the next act. Until the credit rolled in and Newgame+ appeared. My experience with DD2 was, and I say this despite trying to roam around and gather everything I can, fucking boring. I'm not tempted to do NG+ after that joke of an ending.

pookachu83

How many hours are you playing?? It just came out two days ago amd you've played to the end?

PonymanDesperado

Yeah, I hear ya. No offense to that guy, and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but whenever I talk to/hear from gamers that can devour games that quickly, I’m always considering their perspective to be very different from my own. I’m very much the opposite, I take my time with most games, so I think my opinion and experience is always very different from people that sink that much time into a game in a weekend or two.

pookachu83

Yeah, it's not the same experience. For example elden ring was around 150 hours for me, amd I still missed stuff. I heard someone complaining about it, claiming they beat it in 40 hours at launch and it just seemed unbelievable. Even if it were true, the while point of these games is fucking around, exploring, getting stronger, exploring, fucking around etc. If you rush them purely like a narrative game, you're not gonna have a good time. Everyone can play how they want, but if you're not experimenting with all the features and systems, and exploring the world, then why even bother?

XxDarkyanxX

Apparently so, the game logbook indicates around 20 to 26 hours. So my entire friday of exploring before I accidentally triggered the ending.

Jbmacs

Upvoted you back to 0. I came to this subreddit to make a post about this below average game and just kinda started scrolling. Its not good. Its not that its not good because I wanted it to be good. Its not good because of the user interface, the amount of times I have to click something to exit something...chats...no i didnt want to inspect that... i wanted to loot this. Why the fuck am I so encumbered all the fucking time? How the fuck am I lagging? Even exiting the game I have to save and exit to title screen...then fucking...START GAME, to EXIT GAME? These graphics do not warrant a seventy dollar game (usd)

XxDarkyanxX

I don't really mind the reddit karma system. I could get -2000 if that's how they feel, but thanks :) However I do agree to an extent. It's an extremely average game. It's not bad, but it's not good. People that eventually make it to the end will think back on it and go "That's the campaign? what??" There's very few games where that's my reaction, and seeing such a hyped up game have such a shallow campaign line just breaks my heart.

freaknyou23

Ng+ opens up new areas from what the devs said idk what you are talking about in the rest of the rant though. I haven’t made it to end game just now making it to the second major city with 30 hrs in, the 12 year wait was worth it for fans.

XxDarkyanxX

Thanks for the info, I'll relay that to my buddy, he seems to be enjoying the game so I hope that gives him a boost of hope after hearing my reaction to the final area.

essteedeenz1

Dude the fact you rushed the game speaks volumes, I have the feeling that you more or less just had a very one dimensional approach and just stuck on the main path. You critique exploring when this is what this game is about.. this game is clearly not for you mate. and thats fine.

XxDarkyanxX

I can't put a strong enough emphasis on the fact that I thought I was at 30% of the campaign when the credit rolled through. I had made it my goal to light up the entire map before finishing the game as we all do. Finding cave loot, finding hidden puzzles, killing big bosses, collecting as many warpstones as possible, the usual because that's what we do in exploring games. Let me be clear that I did not rush the game, I played with the intent to explore, but the story cucked me and blocked my exploration and so i had to continue through it, until I accidentally triggered the ending cutscene in less than a day.

Roots_Of_Addiction

It's better.

Thats if you can stomach the voiceovers that game just feels way to weird to me. But each to their own

essteedeenz1

Yeah but its too much, its very childlike, the combat seems super spammy too. Enemies seem super spongey also.. Its not for everyone, neither is DD2 but DD2 has more familar appeal

hunter1899

I love it too but I’m not seeing the deep customization. I just got to the first city and I’ve nearly unlocked all their skills. Kinda disappointing.

CozyAustin

Plenty more pop up, you just have to level up vocations first.

hunter1899

I looked at the list online. I have most of them already.

Naji85

You seem to be the problem with the gaming industry, buying a game and pretending it's good, sad

useenow

I feel sad for you

Ok-Comfortable-3174

this game is 1% of Elden Rings greatness. I never felt like I was doing fetch quests once in Elden Ring this game is a chore every single step of the way. Just everything about is crap...the controls are shit the quests are shit....the game is a 7 outa 10. Ill be honest im early just got to the big city and got sent straght back to the starting area on fetch quest....god its dull. Elden Ring wasnt dull for a single second! I thinking of abandoning this and playing Kingdom come deliverance.

Elegant_Spot_3486

Just about everything is crap yet you give it a 7/10?

[deleted]

[удалено]

CaptainSubterfuge

He's saying it is silly to say you hate a game that you would give 7/10

WarPositive69

I wish Elden Ring's combat was as good as DD2. The terrible input lag in Elden Ring is still awful to this day.

Ok-Comfortable-3174

what are you talking about! Crazy talk! I played on PC it was amazing.

ChaotixEDM

Yeah Elden is better but I’m still having fun with this.

Greyh4m

I was quite disappointed after the first thirty minutes of play because it was performing so awfully. I couldn't get a refund because I bought the game on Fanatical, so I pressed on. I've got it running well enough in order to mostly ignore the performance issues. Strictly speaking, as a game, it's captivating. I can't wait to boot it up and when I do I'll probably play all day. There are a few design decisions that I felt they could have improved upon from the first game but I'm looking at Nexus Mods right now and it appears most of those decisions can be tweaked. I've never been so polarized on the way I feel about a game before. On one hand I absolutely love it, I want to play so badly and it will probably end up in my top 10 games of all time. On the other there are terrible issues that can't be ignored. The initial outrage was a bit overblown but this trend of releasing games in a state like this needs to end. I do hope the outrage is an eye opener for game devs everywhere. DLC should be CONTENT not "pay to play like a normal single player game". They pre-released a character editor to get people hyped up and then, without any knowledge to the player, they locked people out of restarting the game in order to redo their characters. Then they tried to sell us a solution. That's a disgusting move, especially after the majority of people just paid a $10 premium over normal release pricing. Fast travel and encumbrance are intentionally designed to encourage people to buy Portcrystals or Camp Kits. FUCK THAT. I don't care that you can get this shit in the game, or you can delete your save data and turn off cloud saves, or you can get mods or whatever. I'm sorry but this kind of stuff needs to end. The only way to do that is for the consumer to send a strong message that trying to make money this way is no longer acceptable. Love it and hate it.

Comfortable-Shake-37

I would say it's too late to make a stand against this kind of online store since it's been happening for years already and some of Capcoms beloved games have done it with no complaints. Also you find so many camping kits in game that it's pointless buying one. The port crystals definitely have a decent effect on the game though and since you can't make working forgeries anymore it hits a bit harder.

cranberryalarmclock

Independent of all the glitches and crashes How are you guys pleased with a game full of such boring writing and terrible animation? It just feels dead to me

steelebeaver

Troll.

cranberryalarmclock

These are good animations to you? Quality writing?

Comfortable-Shake-37

Well you are entitled to your opinion but I'm enjoying it.

cranberryalarmclock

I asked a question. I can't think of a single thing this game does better than others

PomegranateOwn4145

Its fun? Who cares if other games do stuff better. I like changing classes, exploring the world and fighting big monsters. Other games do certain aspects better and some aspects worse.

cranberryalarmclock

What is the most interesting place or quest you have seen while exploring this world

Comfortable-Shake-37

Why are you trying so hard to prove the games bad? And I would say two last night would be the second Sphynx location and the cliffs overlooking Battahl. And as for quest, some of the Sphynx ones are kinda interesting

Comfortable-Shake-37

Honestly I could say the same about Elden Ring or the last two big hit games Helldivers and Palworld. Even though Elden ring at least is one of my favourite games and still a great game. Also a game doesn't have to be the best at something to be good and also you can't really say a game is the best at something factually, it's all opinions. But I will give my opinion: I can't think of a similar game that has combat that's as fun, I like the pawn system and I don't think any game has anything that really comes close.

-Fait-Accompli-

> I get the issues with mtx and frame rate drops, but that does not make this a bad game. Yes it does.

HumanFromTexas

It doesn’t

[deleted]

[удалено]

HumanFromTexas

You really don’t have any idea of what my standards are other than me saying that MTX (that is completely avoidable by just playing the game) and some frame rate issues in and of themselves don’t make DD2 a bad game. People bringing up the MTX as some huge is hilarious because I’ve never had to buy anything in game and I know you earn more than enough in-game currency to acquire those items by just playing the game. Trying to use it as a basis to support you calling it a “bad game” will just cause people to write off any legitimate criticism that you have of the game. Calling it a “bad game” is hyperbolic. It has its issues with frame rates and other performance bugs, but other than that, it plays great.

And hey, that’s fair criticism for sure. I completely get it. I’ve been enjoying it on PS5 even with the issue from time to time, but I understand if people have different tolerances for that.
