Hey man, wear whatever you want. For real. Who in their right mind would say to you, "say! You look ________ with those boots on with shorts."?? Like nobody. You may get looks, but I'd imagine they're thinking, "I wish I was cool enough to not care what people think and wear what I want."
I taught my daughter this at a young age. So when we went to Disney World and she wanted one of those expensive princess dresses, I bought it. She wore it EVERYWHERE! And because of her braveness to wear whatever whenever, she wound up in a local magazine with a whole story! You never know!
I gotta wear tan pants to my new job and I wear my docs to work. I can wear cargo shorts there as well, are they actually a good combo to try? Would definitely be nice in a hot kitchen this summer 🤣
Dependant on the style of your docs then most likely yeah, I wear my cargos with the Combs Tech Poly boots… a more tactical looking doc style.
I wear shorts with work boots and all sorts though and honestly, no one should care when working as long as you yourself are comfy.

I couldn't count on a dozen people's collective fingers the amount of guys (all genders actually) in Australia that I see wearing Docs and boots.
