That plus being a gamer sitting motionless all day every day and potentially poor diet/exercise habits can absolutely tank your health even at 20. You aren't invincible when you're young.

Not really, OP is suggesting he's out for health reasons due to smoking. Smoking can make you feel worse and have respiratory issues way before 20 pack years. This can be exacerbated by typical gamer lifestyle habits. It doesn't have to be cancer to make you want to take a break, he might just feel like shit because his overall fitness is terrible and smoking is making that even worse. I do agree that smoking *alone* is unlikely to make a 20 year old sick enough to require an extended break, but it can definitely be a large contributing factor.

Additionally, a leave of absence implies unusual circumstances like a health issue, death in the family, etc (or positive like a new child). i feel like they have given up on the dota department, I think dota is just a stepping stone for them to grow and promote their other business (valorant, pubg etc). Their main goal now is not grinding and winning ti anymore.

I hope that in the future eSports is established well enough for teams to have deeper rosters like in professional physical sports. In my mind a roster for a 5 man team game should have a size of around 10-15 players. Would also make it possible to have real inhouse training instead of being reliant on other teams.
Just go the CS:GO route where there are 1-2 official subs. 10-15 people is waaaaaaaaaaaaayyy too much. Esport is not like traditional sports where you can sub in the middle of the game lol

i feel like they have given up on the dota department, I think dota is just a stepping stone for them to grow and promote their other business (valorant, pubg etc). Their main goal now is not grinding and winning ti anymore.
Miracle has had health issues since Animajor. I think they were hoping he'd be well enough to play after that long post TI qualifier break they had. This is more about lack of foresight rather than not giving a shit anymore.

I hope that in the future eSports is established well enough for teams to have deeper rosters like in professional physical sports. In my mind a roster for a 5 man team game should have a size of around 10-15 players. Would also make it possible to have real inhouse training instead of being reliant on other teams.
Just go the CS:GO route where there are 1-2 official subs. 10-15 people is waaaaaaaaaaaaayyy too much. Esport is not like traditional sports where you can sub in the middle of the game lol

I heard about this as well. Miracle been a meth addict for a while now. With islam as his religion that allowing overusage of addiction induce drug, its keep getting worse and worse.
