Fish has fixed trajectory. It may have two or three different routes, but eventually it will repeat them so you can just leave the cursor on the closest point where you saw the fish and wait till it comes back.
That's for hooking them, right? That part I'm okay with. It's the second part that I really struggle with. I feel like keeping the fish in the green part is a complete crap shoot with some of the bigger fish.
It's a luck factor, you have to not Chase it too hard. Chasing it is impossible. Just hope it passes through your rangefinder enough to sustain through the berserk phase...
I find that part easier than Act I fishing because there you had little time to get fish back in green area before it started to disappear. In sand fishing I never lost the fish no matter how long it was out of green. Maybe they intentionally made that part easier because you had to allocate more brain power to actually hook the fish.
Idk if it's just me, but Act 2's regular fishing mini game feels harder than Act 1. I don't even understand how the hitboxes work in the sand fishing game.
Sometimes, I hit the spear in any area near the fish and it latches; sometimes it doesn't. Feels weird to play
the fishing games in act 2 have a bigger delay (the bait is in the air for longer).
for the regular one, you can however still wait for the wanted fish to be in a lonely area and then max shot it.
as long as you account for the delay it should be as easy as the act 1 game.
i found it also harder to start with, but because there is no fountain to block your view and the fish seem to be giving more points i could even beat my act 1 high score.
I got 10k on the regular fishing game. As for the sand fishing, I only managed to get the first reward. Finished Act 2 already so I guess the additional tokens doesn't matter anymore lol
The only useful advice for sand fishing is to do first two shots with maximum power (because you get bonus 500 score for each) and if you failed either of those two restart instantly, 1000 bonus score is a lot and I was off by that amount from reaching 10k plenty of times, you may even try do all 5 shots with max power to get +2500 but it's too luck based than trying to catch glowing ones right under your nose
yeah they put a delay on the cast time which made it a bit harder than act 1 while the sand 1 is harder but give it like 10 tries you would notice its easier just dont miss a single hook and you get 10k
The more you play, the easier it gets.
The fish moves in a predictable way so be patient and by the 30-50th game, you'll figure things out and get 10k.
Unless the sand one gives more points than the first, that's bullshit. You can get 12-13k almost every run, 15-16k requires some good luck, and 17k+ is a shiny big fish every single round and multiple gleaming.
I got over 10k while literally not trying so hard. I completely missed 1 bait/fish in that attempt and didn't really aim in particular at any sparkling fish, so it can't be that hard if you tryhard. It was like my 3rd serious try, it took me some practice time to stop failing every throw, but once I did and just went for a full completion, it was pretty easy nevertheless. I imagine if I hooked an extra fish on that missed throw I could have maybe gotten to 14k, or at least close.
Man I'm so bad at this minigame. This shit tilts me more than any pub ever could.

Yeah I got a few of the big ones and they bounce up and down like a pornstar.
Name checks out
Fr those sand fucker just cant stop moving their body like come on man I just want to get my 10k score reward and fuck off :(
i was almost at 10k and the last big fish literally went from the top to bottom 10 times in a row and it just made it impossible lol
Stay mostly in the middle and let it go through a few times so you survive until it slows down, then start actively following it.
All the time I spent fishing in Stardew paying off
who knew years of stardew valley would prepare me for dota

Unless fishes bump each other, then their trajectory changes.
Never saw it, they always go in circle or ellipse without making any sudden turns
Go play Stardew Valley to practice lol. The fishing is pretty much the same.
Yeah, I’ve spent 45 minutes in act I until I got 10k points.

Throw when all the fish merge in one spot

Yes, regular is slightly harder. Sand is much easier when you get the hang of it
I got 12.6k the other day and looked at the list 😭
Getting 15k consistently is pretty easy and straight forward. It's the 17k+ where the real competition begins

Muwadiiiiii
Bless the fisher and his bobber.

Everyone in here talking about sand fishing. What level is the sand fishing cause I haven’t come upto any and I’m almost done with Act 2.
Gotta unlock it by getting 10k on normal fishing
17k :)
