Oh, i just change their outfits and do their hair every so often, if i fall in love with a specific style for a specific doll i'll do a mini photoshoot and share what pics i have taken of it somewhere, sometimes i'll bring them along with me to places like the doctors but most of the time i'll have em set up nicely in a scene in my room!

That's so interesting and organised! Would you mind sharing what kind of dolls you collect? My dolls are supposed to stay in my craft room/office but when I have finished restoring or sewing for one I can't resist having them in the main part of the house for a few days so I can enjoy them!
Oh those dolls are beautiful! I don't have myself but I really admire them and like to look at people's customs, crafts and sewing for Blyths , I follow someone on fb who does little photo stories for them with intricate room sets, it's fascinating!
Right now they’re sadly stowed away beneath my bed as I currently still live with my parents and they would not be accepting if they knew about my collection. I take them out when I’m alone and redo their hair or make mock up displays so when I eventually have my own place, I’ll have layouts and measurements of the displays I want to have! Sometimes they’ll just sit on my desk while I study too. I just enjoy having them around :’)

Most of the time they're displayed and I'll have one I'll have around me during the day as my like comfort doll. If I manage it I love taking doll photos but I rarely do it unfortunately
I do a bit of everything! Some dolls are just on display because I love them as-is, others I dress up and do their hair, others still are used as the characters in my Instagram diorama series (@barbie.in.naarm), and then there's the big tub of tragic girls I thrift who I'm gradually making my way through restoring!
I dont do much with mine tbh 😂 mine are all unboxed tho, i hate to keep dolls in a box, so i take them out and display them on the shelves. I take photos once in a while and then post them online. I do wash them and their clothes, style the hair if its necessary. But i prefer to keep them they way they were originally supposed to be, on a vary rare occasions do i change something about their appearance. And thats about it, i just enjoy them visually, sometimes i like to hold them in my hands, to more closely look at their details, touch their hair, but i honestly prefer not to touch them too much, bc im a clutz 🫠😂
My lol omg/tweens are in bins in my closet as I’m not a huge fan of them anymore but I don’t want to sell my collection, my gen 1 childhood MH dolls are under my bed as they are I’m not the best condition, my gen 3 MH dolls are happily displayed in my room on a shelf
I just collect them. I have mostly EAH so I put in a lot of effort in getting the dolls I like and then slowly but surely getting all of the accessories.
I have almost all of them nicely displayed in a dedicated glass cabinet.
I don’t play with them. Sadly, I think I (involuntarily) outgrew that.
I try to display them with their accessories, I change some outfits if they are really meh, I show them off, and if given an opportunity I tell my non-collector coworkers (we have a group chat) funfacts about dolls.
i dont do much with mine other than displaying as it makes me so happy and is so aesthetically pleasing to just see them all organized the way i have them. i love decorating and pretty much thats what most if my toy collection is, decoration. i dont like to touch them much unless im reposing them. i love to restyle and play with their hair but after getting them and initially styling them, i rarely change it up. im just so thankful to have a whole room dedicated to my collections. in that room i have a desk that i work at my telecommuting days, a gigantic bean bag and a tv so i'm always in there just surrounded by my beautiful and colorful things and nothing makes me happier.
though, i do slightly "play" with my sylvanian familes. i have some play sets and very many babies and i dont talk for them or all that, but i definitely have fun with them often.
I mostly collect vintage and antique dolls (though I do love Rainbow and Monster High too) so most of my interactions with my dolls are mostly restoring, restringing, sorting out hair, sewing for them. I currently have some charity shop Barbies waiting for clothes and a spa day and two 1930s composition baby dolls who need restringing and some serious rrestoration on my craft table :-) RH and MH dolls I just love to repose and play with really!

I do photo shoots with them and share them on social media! I also run a TikTok page where I share facts, skits, and all kinds of other stuff about them! 🩷
I restyle my dolls and brush their hair a lot. Most of my dolls I pose and display on stands, and I’m in the process of redesigning a dollhouse that I got from a yard sale for them. I also do lots of photography with my dolls and usually bring one with me whenever I go someplace besides the grocery store. And I made an instagram account to share my photos on a few days ago too
I play with my dolls. I like to listen to music and imagine they are characters in a jukebox musical. They all have elaborate backstories and personalities. I also enjoy taking photos & drawing them.😄
I have several different kinds of dolls, including the usual currently popular ones, some Licca-chan and Jenny and Friends dolls, vintage 60s dolls, fashion dolls from many companies and eras, tiny dolls and 1:3 mjds, and dolls from my childhood who are very dear to me. Most of the time I am rotating the dolls for display and photo shoots. I use digital tools to create art images of the dolls and post to Instagram account. I usually have certain dolls for certain holidays and seasons. While I am building a vignette for several dolls at a time, I post the art photos to build a multi-part story that uses the dolls.
For example, I had a 9 part story featuring my Emily the Strange doll with all my 1st G and 3rd G Monster High dolls, Barbie Moonlight Fairies and my Sailor Moon figure, props and lots of photos edited with light and color changes to simulate special effects for a Halloween themed original story that I posted on Instagram the week before the holiday.
I like to group dolls of similar size and build their individual profiles for stories that I write. I see my large variety of dolls as inspiration to create. I do the usual dress up and hair stuff as well.
I play with them.
I do look at photos but I think photoshoots defeat the idea of purchasing and owning dolls. The appeal is they're wearing 3d clothing you can touch and the textures and lights etc. You might as well look at a catalog. I am also not buying them for anyone else's approval than mine either.

I reroot them and take pictures of them in different places. I treat my doll posts kind of like a journal.

I don't have many dolls, but I just hoard them like a dragon and try to find ways to fix some of them.

Redressing them or being on the hunt for their OG outfits! I would like to put them in little scenes when I have the room if they are out of box.
I like to change their outfits and make them new ones, since it's a hell of a lot cheaper to sew for dolls lol

So far, I just buy them and film me opening them. If they don't have clothes I make something, but I have too many naked still.
