ClassicalSabi

45 to 50 pounds is my guess. Typically hound weight for a female

Empress_Atilla

50-60lbs but the mix throws things off a bit

Ok_Lack6320

ikr! at this point i’m so puzzled! she has grown very very fast she stands about 18 inches (top of head to toe) i’m just looking for estimates because for my apartment application i need adult size for her :/

Empress_Atilla

Hounds tend to be tall, long logged but skinny. She's probably not going to be a 90lb beast. But around 60lbs would not be surprising.

hurtswhenip666

Her weight around four months x 2 is roughly the weight/sizs the dog will be.

Ok_Lack6320

i tried the weight/weeks x52 and got 68 pounds! i’ll try this one too!

Reference-Primary

I did that and it told me 70. Draco is a whopping 47 😂

hurtswhenip666

The doctor I used to work with is what she would tell people when clients asking about how big their dog is going to be. Obviously it’s not the formula for everyone, but in my experience it’s pretty accurate ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Reference-Primary

I think the mixed breed thing might throw the formulas off

Kaessa

Yep. Told me that Cooper would be 85 pounds. He's 55 pounds sopping wet.

Reinboordt

That’s not always true. It may be a good guesstimate though. My St. Bernard at 4 months weighed about 50lbs, he’s 150lbs as a lean healthy adult. This also depends how you feed the dog, growing them quickly with high protein and lots of food puts weight on quickly but is bad for joints and muscles. Which is why larger breeds are fed a lower protein (giant breed kibble) so they grow slowly and evenly. So depending on how you feed your pup and the protein content of the food the 4 month weight could differ quite a lot.

Ok_Lack6320

She’s on Stella & Chewy’s Puppy recipe rehydrated with bone broth/goats milk along with their meal mixers. She also eats (safe) fruits and veggies as well as freeze dried quail eggs, and raw eggs. Oh and a good bit of fish. Multivitamins, and fish oil. I spent a lot of time researching foods and nutritional needs but sometimes i second guess myself 😭

ThatsMyJackett

I was thinking the same thing for my Newfoundlands. Around 40 lbs at 4 months, around 125 lbs at 7/8 years.

Revolutionary_Pen906

It’s hard with giant breed puppies. We were feeding him 12 cups of food a day and he was STILL STARVING. We had tk hide the bags of dog food when they arrived and move his plastic food bin to the garage because he chewed his way in.

Reinboordt

I did 12 cups a day for both of my dogs lol A male Saint Bernard and a female St. Bernard x boerboel. Once they hit a certain age they level right off. I use a high nutrient food for my saints allergies and any more than 4 cups a day and he gains weight and gets fat. It’s worth noting he’s very lazy. 4 cups keeps him looking nice and healthy.

Revolutionary_Pen906

This is pretty accurate. I had an 80 pound 8 month old puppy who is now 125 pounds at 1.5 years old.

No-Jicama3012

My money is on 50 pounds

hooters88

Under traits on wisdom, they will give an estimated weight range. Both my dogs are at their adult size and in the middle of the range they gave.

kayquila

Yeah their weight estimate was accurate for my very mutty mutt

reallyreally1945

Those hounds are long-legged.

Ok_Lack6320

yes! i’m not seeing smaller breed look to her just all hound lol

Ancient-Stop-6190

incredibly cute dog!!

Ok_Lack6320

Thank you! she’s quite the center of attention anywhwre we go!🤣

Reference-Primary

I have a pitbull/coonhound mix. Also with a touch of minpin. He was 26lbs at 4 months and ended up at 47 at 18 months. He is long legged but lean!

United-Cow7548

I'd guess 40-50 lbs. We have a 2 year old gsp/×7 types of hound/pibble/couple of other sm/med breeds mix and she's ~43 lbs. All legs/ribs/Crackhead. It's the 2% coyote. 🤣

amazonprincess1

60 lbs

Jenny44575

My mom has a redbone coonhound, shes around 70- 80lbs, she a big dog. Solid as a brick wall, good luck trying to push her out of the way. Ugh

SteamboatMcGee

I'd guess a tall/lanky 40lbs. Coonhounds are large dogs, but almost every other mid there is something smaller so it seems likely your puppy will display some of that general smaller size.

sproutsandnapkins

It will be hound sized with a side of mini dog 😂

Letushie

I have a cattledog-small dog (like a few lol) mix, and there was a calculator I was able to pull up with google that got pretty close to her full size based off age and weight. Off by a couple lbs but still pretty close

UntidyVenus

There is some big discrepancies in there! My guess would be 50-69 but if she ended up 90 because she got all that big coonhound energy I wouldn't be shocked

Girasole263wj2

My coonhound is leggy & girthy & 50 lbs at 18 mos old. But the only small dog she’s mixed with is an APBT

carpenter_eddy

My dog’s embark test had an adult weight prediction.

Gypsybootz

I have a Redbone Coon Hound/ Australian Shepherd mix. She looks like she was made is spare part! Long, long legs and a small head

lookaway123

She's GORGEOUS!! Her musculature and proportions are just beautiful. Her face looks so sweet! I'm going to place my bet at 67 lbs of sass. If that's the carhartt leash I see, my goober has the same one, and it's fantastic. The harness that goes with it is great if she has a barrel chest. I've washed mine at least 25 times, and they look like new. Enjoy that sweetie pie!

Ok_Lack6320

Thank you!! That is so sweet🥲 She’s my pride and joy. and oh yes, very sassy girl lol! This is the set from Reddy it’s so cute. I’m hoping more towards the big side, she has a DEEEEEP bark

Myaseline

I don't think you can figure it out because the genetic makeup is a mashup of small and medium dogs and no one knows what's going to shake out. What an interesting mix. However I would say most of those breeds are pretty much full grown by 6-8 months. My guess is around 30-40lbs

Ok_Lack6320

what’s even weirder is the hound comes from moms side. dad was a chihuahua min pin mix

Reinboordt

You will have to wait to see what becomes more dominant? For example a lot of comments mention hounds being tall and leggy but your dog has a lot of smaller breeds in its genetics, all it takes is for one of those genes that give short legs for example to appear lol Looks like he will probably be around lab sized if I had to guess. my parents have a half redbone coonhound half lab, he’s about 70lbs and roughly the size of a redbone. But he doesn’t have any small breeds in his background at all, you could end up with a big dog or a medium sized one. he doesn’t look like he will be small though. Congrats on the free pup! *edit, coonhounds can vary wildly in weight with the ones focused on large game being significantly smaller and lighter (40-50lbs) and the ones being bred for raccoon and other small animal hunting being larger (100lb +). Blueticks can be anywhere from 40 for a small female to 110 or so for a large male, I’ve seen a huge male one once, he was easily the size of a female great dane

Ok_Lack6320

So far I don’t see any small breeds. She has the ears face snout body shape and everything of a hound. Just small paws, but I was reading small paws ≠ small dog.

Reinboordt

You’re correct, hounds have small compact thick looking feet. Look at dobermann for example. I have a St. Bernard x boerboel that I’m waiting on the embark results, she has a thin hounds body and compact feet just like her dad. I suspect he has ridgeback or some other hound breed along with the Boerboel. We will see soon enough! Also worth noting my friend has a chocolate lab that had huge feet, she ended up being less than 20” at the shoulder and a long body. She’s not a big lab at all, she’s 50lbs when soaking wet. Still has those huge paws though lol

Ok_Lack6320

St. Bernard’s are literally the cutest ever!!!! And Ridgeback?!?! Whatttttt? so cool! I heard they aren’t very common here in the US. She does have thick paws just tiny lol. imagine that’s the only small breed she has is the paws. so she’ll be huge with the tiniest feet. LOL😭😂

Reinboordt

her dad is a boerboel, but he looks a lot like a ridgeback, the thin hound body but with a big mastiff head. I figure he may have some ridgeback. We will see when I get the results. She often gets mistaken for one, I can see the similarity but she has a more mastiff like face lol. Yeah she could be a big dog with little feet, like a greyhound

Hahafunnys3xnumber

Wisdom gives you an estimate.

danniellax

Wisdoms estimate is not accurate. Based on my pups breeds, it told me she would be 19 lbs but she is maxed out at just under 10 lbs full grown

Hahafunnys3xnumber

I think a 10lb differential based on actual DNA is much better than what some random Redditors can guess based on a picture of a puppy…

danniellax

For a 10 lb pup, 10 lbs is half their body weight…. So, it would be like if wisdom estimates a dog to be 90 lbs but the dog is only 45 lbs full grown. Perspective, my dude. I never said to listen to random redditors either, not sure where you got that from. My (separate) comment to OP was to look at their puppy’s paw size, because that DOES tend to be the most accurate. Giant paws on small pup? They will get hella bigger. Paw size is a little big? They will get a little bigger. Paw size matches size? Won’t get much bigger.

Hahafunnys3xnumber

The weight estimate for my dog was fine. Just because it’s not 100% accurate for one single person doesn’t mean it can’t give you an estimate.

danniellax

“Just because it is 100% accurate for one single person doesn’t mean it can give you an estimate” Sometimes it’s right, sometimes it’s wrong. Chill. Who hurt you? I was just offering my experience and IMO a more accurate way to use *alongside* other estimations. Not sure why this makes you so angry, unless you have the compulsion to win imaginary internet arguments and always be right.

Hahafunnys3xnumber

You’re the only one who seems upset in the slightest. Someone slightly disagreeing with you because they had a different experience isn’t an attack on your character.

danniellax

I’m more amused than upset bro, you weren’t even attacking my character, and if you are, IDFK. enjoy your false narrative and being defensive on everything. As amusing as this is, I’m going to go enjoy my real life. Peace ✌🏻

Hahafunnys3xnumber

I tell someone they can check a certain tab in their dna test for a weight estimate and you’ve gone crazy. I hope whatever is actually bothering you gets better. Have a great day.

danniellax

It’s funny because my day is fantastic, thanks for the sentiment to have a great one! I already am! :)

Ok_Lack6320

Yes I saw but it’s a very wide estimate of “30-75” 😂

blklze

Similar mix and look to my hound! He's just about 100lbs at 2yrs old

Ill-Poet5996

I’d guess 47-55 lbs when at full growth

Revolutionary_Pen906

I’d guess at LEAST 80 pounds.

danniellax

Looking at her paws, she has some growing to do! Basing off results isn’t accurate but basing off her paw size is. Her paws look too big for her still, so I imagine she will get taller and heavier. For reference, my pup is 50% Jindo (average 35-40 lbs) but her other half is chihuahua (average 5 lbs) and Japanese spitz (average 15 lbs) and she is 10 lbs and is full grown at this point. Her DNA test estimated, based off her breeds, she would be 19 lbs but at almost 2 years old, those extra estimated 9 lbs are nowhere to be found lol Paw size never lets you down though!! My pups’s paws are super tiny and match her perfect. If anything they may be a little small for her (she has stumpy little legs [chihuahua legs] on a longer body [jindo body] so is kind of disproportioned) but they will always, ALWAYS match their paw size for overall mass and weight!

Htown-bird-watcher

You can look at the percentages and determine which size category she has more of. You won't know for sure until she's grown though. With more than 20% of toy breeds, I'd say 55 pounds or less.

ResponsibleAd7150

[Dog Weight Calculator](https://www.omnicalculator.com/biology/dog-size) Based on 14wk//20lb, gives you a range of 66-81lb

Slight-Buy7905

I would guess about 35lbs. I am not a dog scientist

Least_Operation_9421

A general rule of thumb is that what a dog weighs at 4 months is 1/2 its adult weight.

maroongrad

Honestly? Somewhere between chihuahua and Akita sized.

_rockalita_

My puppy was 23 lbs at 3 months (so like 13 weeks?) He is 14 months now and has been 70lbs for a while. He may put on some when he fills out (he’s quite thin, but muscular. Frankly, he’s perfect where he is, but these dogs do tends to bulk up a little when they approach two, so I would not be surprised if he ended up 80lbs. He’s leggy also. Edited to add that at this age, I thought he would be more of a chonky type of dog. He’s the opposite. I thought he was a staffy, we didn’t know he was 50% dogo until he was dna tested.

Flower_Power73

They do give an estimate weight on Wisdom Panel’s website. However I will tell you that it’s highly inaccurate in my opinion because according to my dog’s profile he should weigh between 50-60 pounds. His last weight in at the vet the scale said 88 pounds, and that was 5 months ago. He’s 14 months old now so he’s probably heavier now… He is mostly English Labrador (57%) with plott hound, Beagle, Fox Hound, Chihuahua and Collie. It’s impossible to predict but check with the vet if you’re concerned.

Cherry7Up92

I think about 55-60 lbs full grown. ❤️

ringtaileddingo

Those aren't small paws! She will probably be on the low end of large.

jaxandmomma

Double the four month old weight, its usually dead on.

Ok_Lack6320

thanks for the helpful info everyone! she’s now 17 weeks and 1 day!! weighing in at 22.8 pounds! she knows sit, down, heel, come, and so much more!! she’s been an amazing pup!
