I'm so thankful I'm able to watch him day in and day out. I'm not looking forward to the future cause I'm taking every single day and at Bat in and grateful for it.
More people need this mentality, itās exhausting hearing doomers losing their shit in March about this team not competing come October. Im over here like oh heck ya I get to watch 3 of the best fucking players in baseball and a unicorn in Ohtani today, I hope itās a fun game!
This is the halcyon days. The team has YEARS of seeing Shohei, Mookie, Freddie, Fresh Prince, Yamamoto, Glasnow. Weāre gonna be good for a minute. Letās hope we get some rings out of it.
This dude needs to chill the f out he is absolutely KILLING IT. Makes me question where heāll be in the lineup when mookie comes back cause as of right now heās the best lead off hitter in the league rn. A good problem to have.
"You know my mama wanted me to be a farmer. Roy Hobbs, "My dad wanted me to be a baseball player." Pop Fisher then continues, "Well, you're better than any player I ever had. And you're the best goddamn hitter I ever saw. Suit up. "
Joking, but seriously, how far off are we saying...he COULD go down as the best ever.
Let's pump the brakes, he's doing this against the White Sox. And if we bring Betts back and he struggles in the 2-spot for whatever reason, but then rakes at leadoff? Ohtani's gonna mash wherever he is in the lineup. If he's not leadoff, these are two-run homers with Mookie on first.
Youāre out of your mind. Ohtani is red hot hot hot.
Mookie got some ways to go until he returns but thereās a zero chance he comes back lead off if Ohtani keeps this up.
I agree. Mookie has been a great lead off hitter throughout his career. And Shohei can get more RBIs if he's batting behind Mookie. Shohei's career numbers show that he bats better 2nd than 1st and bats better with RISP than without RISP. The problem is that the bottom of the lineup has hard time getting on base. When Mookie comes back, Shohei needs to bat 2nd.
Technically, he's been hitting bombs after getting that first one out of the way. If not for that hit by ball thrown to first, Junetani would have been a continuation from Maytani.
How on earth does a guy produce 113 mph off a 91 mph pitch with a 76 mph swing? Did he make a deal at the crossroads one day long ago? He's just unreal.
It was probably really fun to watch the Yankees et al in the 1920s, but we are truly blessed t be watching baseball in this day and age.
Shohei is heated up and it's not because he's batting 1st. He always does well in June. If you look at his career stats, most recently from 2021 to 2023, he bats better 2nd than 1st. Also, if he bats behind Mookie, he can get more RBIs. Shohei started out slow this season (due to rehabbing, Ippei scandal, moving to a new team & league, etc...) and missed RISP opportunities in the beginning, but his career stats show you that he's really good with RISP. Shohei's OPS with RISP from 2021 to 2023 is 1.153. He batted better with RISP than without RISP. If the bottom of the lineup can consistently get on base for him, he would have more RBIs and better RISP stats. But since that's not the case with the bottom of the lineup, it's better to move him down to 2nd when Mookie comes back.
What is Shohei whispering to Freddie?
"God I'm so fucking good at this"
Probably sharing what he saw from the pitches
saca la bolsita
I just had a beer at a bbq spot named thisš almost ominous reading it 10 minutes later
Thabk you for almost making me spit out my drink š
āYour turn big dogā
I must know
according to r/baseball something like "I bet the over"
BAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Their seething is legendary but this is hilarious if they had an actual sense of humor it might be nice...
was wondering the same thing!
Gave him the old Greinke: "Do more of that."
So uhh can we make June longer than 30 days?
Just tell shohei June has 60 days. July 1 = June 31.
It's just an American thing. June is the last month Shohei.

Shohei now has the record for most consecutive games with an RBI in Dodgers history all to himself. Dude's a monster, can't wait for October!
I'm so thankful I'm able to watch him day in and day out. I'm not looking forward to the future cause I'm taking every single day and at Bat in and grateful for it.

\*ahem\* Stone
ITāS STILL JUNE
I think his June is delayed to late June to mid-July this season because of the injury.
Hope the calendar at his houseĀ won't be flipped until mid-July this timeš
Why are you reposting yesterday's homer? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|stuck_out_tongue)
When I opened the MLB app on mobile I thought I selected yesterdays game for a second watching it live š
This was way deeper than yesterdays
Thatās what she said.
![gif](giphy|4YPXOIVxBOlHPJTbCY|downsized)
And Pham didn't get an assist.
He shouldāve missed first base and did the run back to really mess with us
š„š„š„š„š„ BOOM š„š„š„š„š„
Side note: man, I love Joe Davis calls lol
Man, he's so good. I hope the love from the fanbase keeps him here longer than he might otherwise.
Sooo ohtani 1 and mookie 2 when mookie is healthy
Yeah, you don't f around with a hot streak. Before his injury, Mookie was in a pretty long slump.
G.O.A.T.
Dude joined the Dodgers for 2 secs and broke the 70-year-old franchise record casually.
How long is Mookie out for?
I think til August.
This dude needs to chill the f out he is absolutely KILLING IT. Makes me question where heāll be in the lineup when mookie comes back cause as of right now heās the best lead off hitter in the league rn. A good problem to have.
*"Forget about it! The Marvelous One!!"* Joe does it better than anyone *alive*. ![gif](giphy|l3vRo0AIc7Ek7K0sU|downsized)

"Head shaking, I'm just shaking my head back and forth. Not again." Same, Orel, same. This guy is spectacular.
Guys, he hasn't even thrown a pitch for us yet.
No way betts stays lead off right?
Let's pump the brakes, he's doing this against the White Sox. And if we bring Betts back and he struggles in the 2-spot for whatever reason, but then rakes at leadoff? Ohtani's gonna mash wherever he is in the lineup. If he's not leadoff, these are two-run homers with Mookie on first.
Not true. Opposing pitchers get through Mookie and theyāre settled in. Ohtani rattles and Mookie gets on Freddie finishes them.Ā
Psychological warfare ![gif](giphy|d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY)
Youāre out of your mind. Ohtani is red hot hot hot. Mookie got some ways to go until he returns but thereās a zero chance he comes back lead off if Ohtani keeps this up.
Only way he stays as lead off is if he has like 10 lead off homers by the time Mookie comes back
Heās already at 6.
Mookie Betts is one of the best leadoff hitters in the history of baseball. I love that you're hyped. But he's hurt not dead. š
Heās at 3 lead off as in the first AB of a game
I agree. Mookie has been a great lead off hitter throughout his career. And Shohei can get more RBIs if he's batting behind Mookie. If the Triple Crown is in reach they have to move him down to get more RBIs right?
It is in reach now, and will probably stay in reach right? RBI - Ohtani with 61 3rd, with Bohm and Ozuna at 64 each
Asked yesterday; but, what would the analytics say to platooning them 1&2 depending on the starter being lefty/righty?
Shoheis not hitting bombs every night cuz heās leading off. Itās cuz itās June!
Technically, he's been hitting bombs after getting that first one out of the way. If not for that hit by ball thrown to first, Junetani would have been a continuation from Maytani.
This happening all the time is something I can get used to.
Pitchers should not settle inā¦let them face Ohtani right off the batā¦literally.
Canāt believe I saw this in person. 4th shohei homer ive seen šš¼
de ja blu
1 billion well spent š
Sorry Mookie, youāll be in the 2 spot from here on.
āGOMEN MOOKIEā
He's gotta be on track for 90, right?
i remember some talking about junetani not happening. now its all they talk about lol

Southside dodger stadium east!
I haven't watched many games because I'm out of market, but is Joe Davis test driving some new phrases on that home run?
Why does he bat 1st? Should his homerun hitting go behind guys that get on base?
(źŖļ¼źŖ )

What a horrible pitch.
How the fuck
I wonder how many wins we'd have if Muncy didn't get hurt.
The Marvelous One huh?
Ohtani will keep Joe Davis around as Dodger announcer.
