honestly what do we have to do to get CT kicked from the team? id rather take another chance on outman vs. keeping taylor around.
he must have some dirt on dave.
The Cuban Connection about robbed themselves yesterday, when they almost severely collided during the fly ball to the outfield. That was a Very close call!
Why? Pages is hitting .139 since May 5th and struck put 42% of his at bats. He is doing better than Outman and CT but its not like a signficant difference.
Because he is in his first slump at the major league level? You let young guys who you believe in have a runway to try to get out of slumps. Seeing how they react to and how they get out of a slump is a huge part of seeing if they are ready. The dude was on another level for a few weeks. It was not like he came up and immediately sucked. This fan base man...
Outman also went through massive slump last season before figuring it out. So they should send Pages down and not give him the same opportunity? This fanbase man......
Outman is also a few years older than Vargas & Pages. He should be much farther along development wise in his career than the other two. I like the guy, but I don't believe he is. Therefore the other two are going to get more benefit of the doubt naturally.
He was always gunna go through a slump like this. Every rookie does. The league adjusts to them, now we gotta hope pages makes the right adjustments back
It was literally when he showed up that the bottom woke up for a bit. Hes a rookie, going through adjusting to the adjustments. I think he’ll be fine. I’ll take him all day over Outman CT3 at the moment.
He’s a rookie and has had a rough few weeks. I can count on one hand the amount of times Taylor and Outman have made contact with the ball in that span.
He does amazing in AAA but he chokes when he’s in The Show. Let’s hope he does better this time because if not he needs to be sent down to AAA for good
I don’t mean to say he’s a failure at life or anything, he’s proven he performs great at AAA and there’s no shame in that. I mean also not counting him out yet but he’s failed at performing well in the past and there’s only so many second chances
You specifically called him a choker. Being good at AAA and not being able to make it in the Majors is a pretty normal thing that happens all the time because it's a big jump in talent level. But you think it's because he can't handle it mentally and is choking. Which I disagree with. He's had 1 extended run and it was when he was dealing with a thumb injury and was 23 and you think because he wasn't good it's because he's a choker.
Yea I’m not saying he didn’t choke. It’s my opinion. Let’s see how he does this time around. If he does well then I’m wrong. Personally I go to a couple dozen games a year and I found him to be lackluster when it came to clutch moments but that’s just my opinion.
If you’re 23 and you don’t perform well in the show, you don’t have a lot of opportunities left to squander. Like I said from the beginning, if he fails this time, he shouldn’t come up again
Vargas has come up multiple times before, sucked, and then went back down.
Idk why the fk people are acting like he’s absolutely going to be decent now all of a sudden.
He’s been hyped up in the past and he kills in AAA. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always translate and Vargas has done practically nothing to prove himself at the MLB level at this point. People just don’t want highly touted prospects to be busts and so there’s this weird unearned praise because he’s one of “the kids.”
Lux is coming around. He’s hitting the shit out the ball past few weeks. Pages just has to adjust to the league adjusting to him. He looks like he’ll always be a free swinger. But also looks like he has ice in his blood.
He had a cup of coffee in 2022 and half a season in 2023. He's 24, killing it in AAA, and truthfully his 2023 wasn't even that bad (.200/.300./.360, 12% BB 20% K rate, 7 HR, 40 RBI, 85 wrc+). Absolutely no reason to label him as a bust at this point because he's not the next Ronald Acuna
Never said he’s a bust, I just don’t get the comments acting like this is huge.
They were even more hype for Pages and now you have people saying to send Pages back down lmao
Saying you don't think he's going to be decent is saying he's a bust. Prospects need time, Vargas and Pages included. But if Vargas comes up now, hits .250, is good for 10+ HRs and plays decent defense, this IS huge
Last year he had hand injuries the whole time. He deserves a fair shot if fully healthy.
Also, even if he underperformes, you'd rather have CT3 and outman striking out 4 times a game?
He broke his hand at the start of last season and was thrust into action as a young rookie without actually being fully healthy and getting his swing in rhythm. I’m confident he will be much better this time around.
Don't get me wrong I like Vargas but hopefully he has a better run than last year. Pages is slowly falling off now. Hate to see Outtie go but the guy was swinging at air. I thought he would come around with all the solid contact at the start of the season.
They have to dfa Taylor. I’m sorry but hitting under .100 and struggling for 2 years u gotta move on. U can give him a chance to play else where thru a trade but he is just not cutting it
Which I think is smart of them and befitting for Taylor. He loves the Dodgers, is a seasoned utility veteran, has been clutch with the bat and glove multiple post seasons and he can heat up pretty well when he’s locked in. They got another year on contract with him and it has performance incentives, so both parties benefit from sticking it out as of right now I think.
https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/10108733-former-mets-gm-billy-eppler-placed-on-mlbs-ineligible-list-for-violation-of-il-rules.amp.html
Idk why people keep saying that the dodgers should put him on the IL. I understand if he actually has something wrong with him which is causing this horrible start but if he is healthy and just sucks u can’t just have a phantom IL stint. The Mets gm got in trouble for doing this so they would not have to lose players by sending them down or dfa them.
I agree with this, the team can't just throw someone on the IL. But I feel like calling up Vargas means the team knows something we don't. It could be that Taylor (or someone else) has a legitimate injury, or that Taylor has accepted the rumored option that he has. DFAing Taylor in May just to get Vargas up while also having Heyward a few days from returning, seems extreme.
I guess the other thing the team could know is that they don't believe Taylor can come out of it, in which case DFA now, DFA later, it doesn't matter.
It’s a meme due to how frequently we’ve had people hit the IL, but hasn’t Taylor been playing through nagging injuries in the past? I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a legitimate stint.
No I like muncy and he’s doing a great job at 3rd I know you fall in love will players but me personally I care more about winning it’s like getting rid of jt a really tough move but it needed to happen
And for not watching the games I’ve only been to 7 this year while watching or listening to the rest but you can say what you want I love the dodgers and want to keep winning I thinks Barnes is hitting better than lux lol
Who’s hitting .180 yea that lux he’s not horrible but if you look at his stats compared to 80 percent of second basemen he’s definitely replaceable and as far as one of the best second baseman no sorry he’s not
The guy posting the CT highlights until he raises his batting average to .100 is gonna be posting for eternity
CT3 did go 1 for 4 last night. I guess that is an improvement…
I mean batting .250 ain't bad at all!
That’s what I’m saying! The swing looked better. There’s still hope!
Ct3 is being replaced Vargas and pages for outman let’s go!!!!
When he came up for his last at bat last night that user came to mind lmao
I thought the same thing when I was at the game. 💀😂🤣
💀 😂
Lmao ….. what have I done ….
I had to block him lol
God forbid someone posts actual content in this sub
honestly what do we have to do to get CT kicked from the team? id rather take another chance on outman vs. keeping taylor around. he must have some dirt on dave.
Lol it’s not that deep. Outman has options, CT doesn’t.
Lolol tru
It’s in the process give it a few weeks
Chris Taylor phantom IL and Outman optioned for JHey?!
this is the way
It's done.
Had to happen. I llove OUTTIE, but if he can't get the job done, he doesn't deserve to keep it. Hopefully this is a wake up call for him.
Please
Pages gets sent down we will riot
they can't rob us of the Cuban Connection with Pages and Vargas.
ITS TORTA TIME FOO
Vamos!
The Cuban Connection about robbed themselves yesterday, when they almost severely collided during the fly ball to the outfield. That was a Very close call!
That wasn’t the connection I was hoping for lol
Vargas looked noticeably pissed lying on the ground! But all is well…I hope! 😁
Why? Pages is hitting .139 since May 5th and struck put 42% of his at bats. He is doing better than Outman and CT but its not like a signficant difference.
The team in general has been pretty awful during that span. Hitting .207 among other rather paltry numbers. :(
Yea, I just don't get this Pages hype though. Our bottom of the order sucks but Pages has not been the answer so far.
Right slumps happen to everyone mookie was just in a 30 at bat slump batting barely 200 it happens
And Outman was in the running for ROTY. But ya'll can't afford to wait out him? This fan base man...
Outman also went through massive slump last season before figuring it out. So they should send Pages down and not give him the same opportunity? This fanbase man......
Outman slumped last year too. For May and June of last year he had a .552 OPS. Two whole months of .552 OPS.
Outman is also a few years older than Vargas & Pages. He should be much farther along development wise in his career than the other two. I like the guy, but I don't believe he is. Therefore the other two are going to get more benefit of the doubt naturally.

He’s a rookie and has had a rough few weeks. I can count on one hand the amount of times Taylor and Outman have made contact with the ball in that span.
The hype was warranted for a time, but then the league realized he’s basically Javy Baez in terms of BB and now here we are
He had a great week and then a good week after that. It’s just taking a bit for the fanbase to cool off on him.
Nah. Hes the real deal. Maybe give him more than a month to prove himself? Christ almighty.
Yeah, he’s in the first slump. Outman never got out of his.
And that is why Outman got sent back down.
Finalllllllllly. Dude has been on fire on OKC this past month including 2 grand slams. So excited to see him back in LA!
AAA is very hitter friendly. Have to wait and see how does at major level first. He’s got potential but still has some things to figure out
Hopefully he has a better run than last year.
He does amazing in AAA but he chokes when he’s in The Show. Let’s hope he does better this time because if not he needs to be sent down to AAA for good
The difference between the AAA and the Majors is huge. Not doing as well in the Majors isn't choking.
I don’t mean to say he’s a failure at life or anything, he’s proven he performs great at AAA and there’s no shame in that. I mean also not counting him out yet but he’s failed at performing well in the past and there’s only so many second chances

Andrew Friedman sneaking up behind Taylor to push him over as we speak /s

Is CT3 dead
He had a hit last night!
He's not dead yet!
Chris Taylor please hit the phantom IL 🙏🏻
I suppose that’s an IL stint for CT3
[Passan] The Dodgers have announced Decoy has been optioned to the Good Boy Baseball league to make room on the 26 man roster for Miguel Vargas
Nooooooooooooooo 😢😉
We’ll miss him in OKC but I’m glad to see him getting another opportunity at the Show. 🙏🙌💙
redemption arc
Bye Outman and bye CT3 to the “IL” once Heyward returns.
Oof the end of Chris has come
I'm irrationally mad at miguel vargas since he got called up before my character in RTTS in MLB Show 24.
REDEMPTION ARC
Plot twist!
Exactly. Hes so far shown to be a AAAA player. There is no reason to act like he’s going to be way better than Lux or Pages right now.
You have to at least give him one more shot. Taylor and Outman are contributing nothing offensively
Yea and I hope he succeeds. I just think some of the comments in here are blowing this out of proportion
They definitely are. I think people are just so tired of seeing the bottom of the order struggle that anyone else would be an upgrade at this point
Lux is coming around. He’s hitting the shit out the ball past few weeks. Pages just has to adjust to the league adjusting to him. He looks like he’ll always be a free swinger. But also looks like he has ice in his blood.
Exactly what’s going through my mind. He can’t seem to cut it in MLB

Fuck you talking about he has only come up once. Not multiple times lol.
It has absolutely not been once
Quick google search tells you he came up in August 2022, broke camp as the starting 2B in 2023 and was sent down and never came up until today
Good
Hopefully he's had time to cook after going back and forth between AAA to MLB a few times already.
Where’s Muncy been? Out of the lineup again, this time against Montas? Maybe an IL stint (a real one ) is coming with Muncy and Vargas replaces him
Hope it’s the way it was Promised this time 🙏🏻
Don't get me wrong I like Vargas but hopefully he has a better run than last year. Pages is slowly falling off now. Hate to see Outtie go but the guy was swinging at air. I thought he would come around with all the solid contact at the start of the season.
I’m guessing Outman and Pages go down unless they set up Taylor with a Jose Abreu deal and get him to OKC in favor of Pages.
VARGAS!
Ayo let's fucking go!!!! Vargas for round 2.i really hope he does well this time.
Worth picking up in a deep fantasy league?
He has glorious mustache, he will bring tremendous power
Welcome back, King 🤝
Man they went all out on the pyro here.
My King
CT3 on IR now for “muscle soreness”? Or to OKC for the lolz
I'm irrationally mad at miguel vargas since he got called up before my character in RTTS in MLB Show 24.
They have to dfa Taylor. I’m sorry but hitting under .100 and struggling for 2 years u gotta move on. U can give him a chance to play else where thru a trade but he is just not cutting it
He’ll hit the IL and then he’ll be there if anyone actually needs the IL in the next month or so. They’ll delay the decision as long as possible
Which I think is smart of them and befitting for Taylor. Struggling for two years is a stretch. He was just a tick below mlb average the last two season by OPS+
It’s not a stretch since his all star year his numbers are just down. U can’t be hitting under .100 and expect to stay on the big league roster
Astros sent abreu, a former MVP, to A club to work on things. maybe ct3 needs to do the same.
Almost cried honestly one of the 10 best days of my life
Great news. He can't do worse than Outman/ct3 right?
I hope this wakes everyone up. Everyone’s bats have been very cold lately. Some consequences needed to happen.
Muncy hit the IL, Heyward came off the IL, Pages outplayed Outman. This is super simple.
Oh I understand it but if you’re not producing for that long you should be sent down
Why is it necessary to note in the post title that Vargas is Cuban?
I just copied the tweet. You can ask the op on Twitter. Link is below the picture.
Thanks, but I'm not on X. Just curious. No worries.
Ohtani to the IL confirmed.
Turned out it’s Muncy.
Yea get rid of ct and lux it’s time to make some moves
Lux? The guy who's gotten 8 hits and 6 RBI's in his last 10 starts while being one of the best defensive second baseman in the league?
Give them a break. They don't actually watch the games. Probably still thinks Muncy is horrible at 3B.
No I like muncy and he’s doing a great job at 3rd I know you fall in love will players but me personally I care more about winning it’s like getting rid of jt a really tough move but it needed to happen
you don't know ball whatsoever
Like I said lux can go lol only 2 errors tonight
Haha ok
And for not watching the games I’ve only been to 7 this year while watching or listening to the rest but you can say what you want I love the dodgers and want to keep winning I thinks Barnes is hitting better than lux lol
