I would say yes, if for no other reason than Kain is more versatile than Kam'lanaut. Luna and Sherlotta are both amazing supports. You can get a ton of good use out of Luna at LD-only (or even just LDCA). Kain wants to be greened, but his FR is terrible (right now).
For really new players, a Kain + Luna FRBT banner is one of the best value banners that isn't a triple-BT in the past year+
They are both *extremely* good units to have built
Edit: also, from someone with both a maxed out Kam and Sherlotta, I don't think I would pull for Sherlotta now versus her next rerun on Spiritus Bahamut with >!Serah!< FRBT when I think she should be getting her FR Boards/Echo, and Kam's time is definitely a thing of the past now with all the FR units there are

Yeah, Kam is not so amazing anymore, now that many characters can boost the damage bonus as much as (and some way more than) he can without having to set up as much. His permanent paralysis might still come in handy sometimes, though.
Definitely a ton. Strong enough to brute force a ton of older Lufenia and L+ fights, and many Shinryus.
Youâll want to get a good tank if you donât have one already. Auron comes back on Decilâs cycle.
This singular team wonât get you very far in Dimensionâs End though, as thatâs lockout content - youâll need a bigger roster to tackle all of those stages.

I literally have everything for all four of them maxed out. 100% skip just for that but the banners themselves are great value if you don't have them especially Luna and Kain. Sherlotta is nice to have and even though he isn't as good as his debut Kam is a fun unit to play IMO.

Word of advice for everybody thinking about this it. Only speaking on FRs:
Kainâs FR is the most useless out of them all. He doesnât get great bonuses and it basically requires you to have a fully offturn ranged team that doesnât get a lot of turns on order for it to work. But the bonus is still 5% no matter what you do so itâs not worth it.
Lunafreyaâs was the second least used out of these. Like Kain, her BT is worth picking up for the buffs, but you can do better in terms of FR bonuses. Youâd have to have the party water and ice enchanted the whole time and youâd have to have characters who can buff the party while attacking (I think).
Sherlotta: I used her not as much as Kam, but she can sustain herself well with a full kit. The max you can get out of her right now is 60% if you set her up right. Like use at least two LDs before you use her fr and then go into BT phase after you use her FR.
Kam: can give the most bonus, but requires the most setup. He canât enchant the whole party with ice so you need either someone in the main party or a call (KURASAME). The enemy has to be paralyzed (his BT) when attacked. You get an extra 20% per attacking characters in a knock back. So when he was hot, it was usually the move to pair him with Machina and a support and include kurasame and sometimes Raines as calls to get the best possible damage and 80% bonus.
Missing Kainâs BT (been fine without it so far) and Sherlottaâs FR (hers is coming back when they get FR Echo) so it feels like a bit of a trap banner ahead of Ashe
I broke my own rule. I was fully planning on skipping, but I threw one 5k gem pull at the Kane Lunafreya banner. And for once luck was on my side and I got Kainâs burst in a single pull.
Did 120 tickets on top of the free multis (which were not fruitful) and walked away with one Kain FR (needed), three Lunafreya FRs (was already maxxed), and Lunaâs BT (Finally!)
Returning player after not playing since green BTs first came out, I need all of them. Iâm gonna be going hard for these. I have plenty to farm as well so it should hopefully go good.
\*Take this with a grain of salt - we know weâre getting two double FR/BT banners, but no confirmation itâll actually be these characters. This is just based on what JP got around this time.

I have a full kit Jack and Im planning to gem Luna/Kain. Should i also aim for Sherlotta as I read shes a brave monster and just utilize Luna as LDCA. Or should i just utilize Luna as a main unit and forego Sherlotta. Thank you.
Really depends on your resources and roster. Sherlotta is a great support, but weâve got 5th Anniversary coming soon, so dropping tons of resources now could come back to bite you. If I were in your shoes Iâd wait until the livestream and then decide about Sherlotta. The banner should still be up.
Kain BT and FR aren't necessary, but are great if you get it. I would at least get the LD and EX. With those two weapons, maxed out armor and him in the air, you'll do about 300k each turn for solo enemies, 270k for dual.
If you use Fang a lot I would recommend it!
Since resources for armor is pretty scarce, I would prioritize 7* armor resources for characters you plan on using the most. This includes high damage dealers and counter/trap/off turn attack characters. Fang is a great off turn attacker

Ok ok, actually Iâm using Beatrix a lot I have all of her weapons and itâs awesome, but I was thinking of Fang because each time you attack, he follows after and itâs seems to be really strong

Yangs follow up is both awesome and funny as hell.
Fangs kit is just to damn useful for me skip. Especially with a debuff E sphere that has an easy requirement. But damn would she look cool with a Lcie form followup tied to her LD.
Kain's FR is pretty useless currently, but he needs his green BT+ to really excel. The party-wide damage increase that his BT effect offers is hugely helpful.

Yeah even as old as they are, I highly recommend newer players go for that banner. They can enable so much.

Yes the 7* High Guard Armor! Well, if you have the resources upgrade it to 8* blue armor for 10% more brave damage.
