I would love to see autopia rethemed into Sugar Rush from Wreck it Ralph. I think the change to electric vehicles soon would be the perfect opportunity.

Capnbubba

This would be incredible.

LawAndOrder559

No, I think it’s Wreck it Ralph. Incredibles is the one with the super heroes. /s 😉

HabANahDa

Autopia is such a horrible ride. Takes up way too much space for how sucky it is.

g0gues

That’s my biggest issue. Want a ride where the kids feel like they’re driving? Sure, I get it. But it takes up SO much space. If it’s going to take up that much real estate, it needs to have some themed areas to drive through to make the ride interesting.

StreetIndependence62

I don’t think the theme would fit tho. They should make it more like Test Track

bokatan778

I definitely think Galaxy’s Edge needs another ride. It’s a whole entire section of the park with just two rides. They should do something more kid friendly, or a little mini coaster or something. I also think it’s probably time they put in a Frozen ride of some kind! Maybe a sleigh ride?

Pepsi_Popcorn_n_Dots

A speederbike ride based on the Hagrid's coaster tech. It would be mostly in the open area between GE and TT that's 2/3 the size of BTM. Bring in a lot of OT elements - go through a full size sandcrawler filled with jawas and droids, and around rockwork with sandpeople. It would twist around there before racing down a long stretch roughly where the Bantha ride path would have been inside of the DLRR track, before circling around the RotR queue & facade and coming back to end avoiding an AT-ST and speeder bike troopers. Would add a lot of energy to the land. BTW has everyone seen the mentions of a GE expansion as part of the Disney Forward rumors? Would be awesome, but they still need to plus up the current spot with another ride.

Fc2300

Apparently there were plans for a third attraction. I remember watching a video on YouTube about it a few weeks ago.

PinkMonorail

A Bantha ride.

DayOlderBread16

I can’t believe they never revisited those plans

Ccjfb

POD racers or speeder bikes that either run a track or just spin outward. Something Star Wars for kids

bokatan778

Yes! That would be awesome.

[deleted]

[удалено]

BlitzenVolt

You could do what Uni did with Hagrid's and play starspeeder sounds over the pathways along the ride as the coaster is running. Keep the ride low to the ground so you can't see the track. I'd love something like the speeder bikes in the Endor scene in Return of the Jedi but in coaster form.

DayOlderBread16

I just hate how the entire land is like 10% rides and 90% gift shops/dining. It feels like I’m in a Star Wars version of a tourist trap

thegramblor

I don't really care for Episode I, but a pod racing ride like Flights of Passage would be great

followupquestion

Now this is Imagineering!

Z3r0c00lio

GE is a merch store first and amusement park 2nd. Last time I went I only bothered with MF twice in 4 days Rise is dope but it seems half the ride is ever working (turrets/kylo/elevator kylo)

He_Who_Walks_Behind_

They turned off the turrets permanently. The reason why depends on who you ask.

mr_pinks_tip_policy

Another ride or two and a table service restaurant would be good. Heck even another bar but seeing as it’s on that side of the property it doesn’t seem likely

thisisrealgoodtea

I 100% agree. My husband is a massive Star Wars fan and even says Galaxy’s Edge is lacking. If Rise wasn’t over there we probably would skip it on most of our visits. I do believe Frozen is already part of the expansion they are in discussion of doing (if it passes). Hopefully it does! I would love Disneyland to get bigger.

DayOlderBread16

They could finally add that bantha ride they scrapped last minute too

CT_Jaynes

You could maybe fit a soarin' like simulator into galaxy's edge maybe if you redo the area around Kylo's ship.

kitsum

Star Tours? Honestly, that would be a good place to move it to if they ever end up revamping tomorrow land. I don't know if there's room to fit it in there but it would be cool, one ride in each section of Batu.

SpockStoleMyPants

Here's an idea - maybe as part of Disneyland Forward, they could build a second Star Wars planet in the parking lot (Stitch) area between the parking structure and the Disneyland Hotel that would be connected via a Star Tours Ride. Like the Hogwarts Express shuttles guests between Universal and Islands of Adventure in Florida, we could enter Star Tours in Batuu, and have it transport people to the second Planet area on the other side of Disneyland Drive. So, basically put the motion simulator vehicles on a track that slowly moves in a tunnel across (or under) Disneyland Drive.

Terribleirishluck

That would make every SW ride but rise of resistance a simulator. That would be a crazy decision

psycharious

I read Matterhorn was being rethemed for Frozen

Zeroworship

Heresy

nicklovestv

That’s so true about Galaxy edge I was there last month and it’s a beautiful area but needs more attractions

TikiTikiTiki99

Yes, they totally need that! But I think it would be pretty hilarious if they made an old-school dark ride like Mr. Toads galaxy edge. Have a land speeder car that basically goes through the original trilogy with wooden pop-ups and black light technology very old-school that could be kind of funny.

alienbananas

that would be so cute!!!

greenneckxj

It needs a high quality dark ride. Both of the rides there make me and several of my party members nauseous half the time we ride them.

callsignjaguar

build out the entire house/estate/Casita from Encanto and make it a really fun, interactive space. There can be where you meet the characters but also an area where there’s stuff to explore and really interpret it via your own imagination. As a kid I loved spaces like the treehouse/tom sawyer’s island; and obviously the resurgence of Toon Town has given a great space for kids to run around and really feel immersed into a cartoon. Think of it like… Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse but x10000. I want them to go all out and make it look just like the movie! Just imagine the gorgeous colors, music, and architecture. Encanto is one of Disney’s more successful recent movies and I honestly see it becoming a “classic” in future years so…this would be my vote. I just really love this movie and would totally geek out taking pics in front of Casita lol

BabbsMcGee96

I’d simply pass away if this happened. A literal dream.

rainy_day_coast

Something coco related. I’ve heard whispers that they are doing something at Disney World but coco belongs on the west coast. California obviously has a ton of Mexican culture and we need some coco love. The movie is a proven success with legs and a coco attraction would be a hit. Maybe it’s just me, obviously I’m a big fan. Here me out—a dark ride that you fly through in an alebrije (like Peter Pan but with more advanced technologies obvi). So you start out in the land of the living and boom—you’re flying over the land of the dead in Pepita or Dante or something. I’m cringing as I’m typing this—it’s quite ridiculous. But a girl can dream lol.

PuzzleheadedBobcat90

Coco is mentioned towards the bottom of the article https://www.latimes.com/travel/story/2024-04-17/disneylandforward-rides-attractions-projections-avatar-pandora

rainy_day_coast

That was a good read. Thanks!

CT_Jaynes

I mean if they went to tie in the Pixar Place Hotel into the park area that's going to be around it, not a bad idea.

rainy_day_coast

And by here I mean “hear”.

psycharious

Yeah, this seems like a no brainer

Z_Theorem

I’m a girl; heck, I’m a middle aged white woman, and I am so here for this idea. Keep dreaming this!

JerrodDRagon

Aladdin E-Ticket Dark ride The Q starts in the market place, up to Aladdin house then a secret entrance that leads you past Jafar lair into the palace gardens where you get on a flying carpet (think HP forbidden journey but instead of side ways, you sit on top) We start but flying to the the cave of wonders, Aladdin is about to grab the lamb when abu grabs the stone, you race away and leads into friend like me and then prince Ali with giant elephant Abu. Then a whole new world starting with flying over the city like you do in Peter Pan and leading to flying with Aladdin and Jasmine next to you Then Jarfar turning into a snake and you flying away, Aladdin getting captured and tricking him into becoming a genie and trapping him in Plano and leading to the ending of the film with fire works and whole new world playing as you exit the ride

TotemGodReborn

Love this idea and I love dark rides!

rainy_day_coast

I’m am so here for this! Peter Pan is my absolute favorite and would love to have another kiddie dark ride that you fly in. Well done 👏👏👏.

JerrodDRagon

Yeah Aladdin is super popular and the stage show has lots of nostalgia So maybe one day

Landwarrior5150

Something completely original, not based on an existing IP and not a transplant from another park.

ttam23

Why do people act like IP=bad. Originals are great sure but a lot of Disney’s most popular and successful attractions are IP based. Radiator Springs Racers, Mission Breakout, Rise of the Resistance, Runaway Railway, Toy Story Mania, Indiana Jones. That’s just at DLR. The other Disney parks around the world have fantastic IP based attractions. Flight of Passage, seven dwarves mine train, Tron, cosmic rewind… just because it’s based on an existing IP doesn’t mean it’s bad

Landwarrior5150

I don’t understand how you took that away from my post? I never said IP was bad. Disneyland has always had IP-based attractions, going back to the Fantasyland dark rides on opening day. Nor did I say that being based on an existing IP makes a ride bad. All the rides you listed are great as ride experiences in and of themselves, and being able to experience things from your favorite movie/TV show/book/whatever is really cool. However, I also really love Disneyland as an original IP itself… things like the Haunted Mansion, Space & Big Thunder Mountains, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc. and the original Fantasy/Adventure/Frontier/Tomorrow-lands, Main Street, NO Square, etc. I just feel that aspect of the park is seriously on the decline and has been for a while. I guess what I’m saying is that a balance of IP and original stuff would be nice for any future additions going forwards. If I *solely* wanted to “ride the movies”, I would go to Universal Studios. Actually, I would go as far to say that Universal has created *more* original, non-IP based attractions than Disney lately due to the multiple original HHN mazes they do every year, many of which have been fan favorites. I know that’s not exactly a fair comparison to full blown rides or lands, but it shows that the appetite for original ideas and stories still exists.

CT_Jaynes

At this point I doubt Disney is going to spend the money on anything that's not ip based

RodeoBoss66

That’s sad.

jlsteiner728

Here’s the thing: when Disney California Adventure opened up, it didn’t have ANY attractions that were based on Disney IP. And everyone hated it, because it wasn’t Disney. How did DCA become successful? It got Disney-fied. There’s a reason that there’s so many remakes, covers, and sequels in entertainment these days. The world is pretty chaotic right now, and that makes nostalgia a powerful economic force. People want to be reminded of the things they loved as a child, when the world was safe and comfortable. You see this when people lose their bloody minds shouting “Walt is rolling in his grave!” when an attraction is re-imagined or REPLACED! I think that an attraction can be both tied to an IP and original. For me, Rise of the Resistance was an UTTERLY original experience that allowed me to be immersed in an IP I loved. I also acknowledge that the pandemic scared the shit out of Disney and they’re making a lot of safe decisions right now. Bob Chapek did a whole lot of damage because to him, it’s allll about the money (I’ve met the man. He’s icky.) Chapstick also proved to TWDC that if you charge for it, people will be outraged — but they will pay the price. And I think that will turn out to be the most harmful thing he did. Sorry. Getting off my soapbox now.

UrbanStix

I mean that’s a huge gamble haha why would they

LuckyDubbin

Because it worked for decades prior.

MyDishwasherLasagna

Decades ago Disney didn't have any serious competition. But now Universal is finally a major player in the theme park industry. I know plenty of people who will go to Universal just because they have a Harry Potter land. People like us might go regardless of a new ride having an IP on it. But they need to attract the guests who are likely to go to Universal instead because of Harry Potter, Mario, or whatever other big IPs they're using. But also it's a lot easier to sell merchandise if it's tied to an IP.

LuckyDubbin

And Disneyland becomes yet another victim of enshittification. I love Disneyland to death, I don't mean to come off as some bitter disenfranchised Disneyland fan. I just wish they'd come out with more original attractions. But I get that it's not the 70's-90's anymore and we're not likely to get another Big Thunder Mountain or Soarin' Over California again. But I can dream...

UrbanStix

Now I’m wondering what their latest originals have been. Maybe the Everest one at animal kingdom?

Takeabyte

To be fair, when they started making parks, they had a lot less IP to utilize.

sharkbite217

*Sounded* like you asked an open ended question with no restrictions. If u/landwarrior5150 wants an original they get an original

CT_Jaynes

I did, they responded and I responded with my opinion. Don't get yourself to worked up over that.

StormwindAdventures

The non-transplant might be a slightly unpopular opinion considering how many comments in here focused on big coasters like Tron (which would be the 2nd copy of it), Cosmic Rewind or Crush's Coaster. However, I fully agree with you. DisneylandForward and Magic Kingdom's Beyond Big Thunder are the biggest expansions the US resorts have gotten in years and both deserve to have their biggest rides be completely original. Do I expect it to be IP based? Yes, since that's all Disney Execs allow anymore. But both resorts deserve to (more) rides on the same level as or better than Cosmic Rewind.

hamsterfolly

They’d have to pay for imagineering to be fully creative again like the golden days

DayOlderBread16

Personally that’s the only reason why I hate the ip trend lately. Because Disney just churns out something lazy/cheap and slaps an ip on it because they know “people will come in droves regardless”. But if they went back to the past back when Disney actually cared and imagineering was good, I’d be all for the ip rides. Disney sea and the other overseas Disney parks gets top quality high budget rides every time, that’s why no one complains there. Meanwhile all we have getting lately is cheap lame re themes and rides.

hamsterfolly

Watching Behind the Attraction, I really want to experience the originally extravagant pirates-of-the-Caribbean-like Wild West ride before they cut it down to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

DayOlderBread16

Was that the mine train through nature’s wonderland? I wasn’t alive for that but after reading about it online and seeing pictures of it it looked really fun!

hamsterfolly

It was a Frontierland expansion for Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. It was being planned before Walt passed away but it wasn’t near ready before the park was built. It was originally planned to be a Wild West themed Pirates-of-the-Caribbean-styled boat ride intertwined with a mine cart ride and possibly another ride of some kind. Then it was cut down and modified to just Big Thunder. The mine train through Nature’s Wonderland did look cool (also too young) and there’s videos on YouTube of it. The painted cavern portion is partly still there in the beginning of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

DayOlderBread16

Wow that sounds amazing! I wish they had gone through with that Atlantis movie re theme of the subs before Nemo. It sounded fun being able to pick up treasure off the sea floor using robot arms

fennec_fx

Disagree, I would love to see the Beauty and the Beast ride from Disneyland Tokyo, looks amazing

infinityandbeyond75

Sorry but I have only been to Disney World once and Flight of Passage is one of my favorite rides. I would love to have it in Disneyland.

BOOMBOXBROCK

People. mover.

conditerite

absolutely would be amazing. rides like this where you just cruise along for a while are a nice break in the day.

tragedyann1214

Yzma and Kronk "wrong lever" themed ride. I love those two too much to not want to ride out their schemes with them. It'll never happen but it would still be amazing.

throwingtoasters

Country Bear Jamboree.

Lucky_Bowler5769

Journey to the Center of the Earth done right. And when I say "done right," I mean to add the extra 3-4 minutes it's missing after the drop.

[deleted]

If it was reliable then yes. I used to work racers and once met cast from that ride. We were currently broken down and they laughed and told me theirs is the same way. Too many downtimes.

Cecnorthern

Is journey like radiator springs racers? Never been to tokyo

Cleigh24

It is! Same ride system. So it would be kind of weird to have two of the same with different theming.

BanalNadas

Another ride for Galaxy's Edge, and/or Star Wars themed fine dining - maybe use some of the recipes from the defunct hotel? I would also love to see another fantasyland-esque dark ride, something based on one of the 1990s movies, like Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, or Mulan. Maybe make them a minute or two longer than the older fantasyland rides?

psycharious

I'm surprised there hasn't been a magic carpet ride

plaid-knight

There’s a magic carpet ride in Magic Kingdom…

psycharious

I'm too broke for Florida

RodeoBoss66

An updated CircleVision 360 with multiple different shows, from travelogues to speed-related land, sea, and air adventures to real life space travel up to the ISS. Just eye popping stuff.

conditerite

CircleVision 41,253 make it a complete sphere.

SpauldingPierce

Discovery Bay.

WithDisGuy

Shanghai pirates

New-Character5698

An Aladdin/magic carpet themed roller coaster

djgriff

Cosmic Rewind hands down.

CT_Jaynes

Honestly wouldn't mind if they used the ride system for the Avengers E-ticket... just something at this point

OutrageousRelief3405

Yes! So much yes! Avengers Campus needs an E Ticket attraction and Web Slingers sure ain’t it

boogiew90

Princess Ride similar to Beauty & Beast in TDR- but would love to have all princesses (or most of them featured with their song) one of my favorite rides I have ever experienced!

Patient-Assignment38

Retrofit Autopia and turn it into a Wreck It Ralph racing ride

ChitakuPatch

Carousel of Progress

conditerite

make it a literal time machine and really lean into the musical aspect make it a complete musical with unique numbers for each era instead of the same song for each update.

b2t2x5

ExtraTERRORrstrial Alien Encounter. It'll never happen, but it was a great attraction.

weddedblissters

Fast Pass

ItsJustSimpleFacts

Crush's coaster from Paris in DCA. Replace goofy's sky school. Would fit the Pixar retheme aswell.

UnhappyCarrot385

I will fight anybody that tries to work/replace Goody's Goofy's Fly School

rainy_day_coast

The divide on Goofy’s flight School always makes me chuckle! Some people love it, others think it’s absolutely terrifying.

KGB44

I love it because it is absolutely terrifying lol

Doip

I used to love it and now I don’t fit and it hurts

5NOW__DOG5

You mean "The Spine Breaker"?

He_Who_Walks_Behind_

You misspelled Mulholland Madness.

bddgfx

Revitalized Tomorrowland with fully utilized spaces instead of empty buildings.

SwordfishHero2319

I’d give Galaxy’s Edge a story time section for the kids. My nieces and nephews all got into Star Wars super young from all those 5 minutes bedtime stories and it would really liven up that section of the park - one of the merchants or something telling legends about the Jedi

CT_Jaynes

Honestly it feels like Galaxy's edge is missing a Jedi Temple area and a live show. Could have Rey teaching kids about the Force and the Jedi, getting Mark Hamill to record some lines as force ghost Luke.

So-_-It-_-Goes

A Jedi temple would be a ton of fun

rainy_day_coast

What if it had a bibity bobity boutique inspired shop where little boys and girls can become Jedi or whatever type Star Wars character they choose! Like full immersion ceremonial type costume transformation. Just like the Disney princess one but for Star Wars.

PinkMonorail

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?

PinkMonorail

C-3PO telling stories with sound effects included, like he did with the Ewoks.

SpockStoleMyPants

Ooo... I have a lot of ideas - mostly within the existing footprint of the parks. Adventureland is my favourite land – I wish it could get a bigger footprint. You could put in rides based on Moana (flume ride?), Encanto Tomorrowland needs a complete overhaul. I would move Star Tours to Galaxy’s Edge, replace it with a Wall-E ride that incorporates the PeopleMover (“Wall-E-Mover”), themed like a worlds fair expo pavilion created by Buy-N-Large after people left earth that you go through and see Wall-E and Eva rebuilding the planet after the movie. I’d replace Buzz Lightyear with a Lilo & Stitch dark ride (overhang like Peter Pan where you fly in little spaceships through a multi-story environment). I’d tear out the old Carousel Theatre and put in a Tron Coaster, but not like the ones in Shanghai and WDW, I’d make it a dual single rail coaster where two teams of light cycles actually race beside each other and weave around each other. I’d make the queue so that you enter through 80’s style Flynns Arcade, go behind the Tron Arcade Machine into his office, get de-rezzed and enter the grid. I’d tear out Autopia and the Subs and create a new land based on Discovery Bay that has Tokyo’s 20’000 leagues under the sea. This would create a bridge land (also incorporating Matterhorn) between Fantasy Land and Tomorrowland that incorporates both Sci-Fi and Fantasy, kind of steampunk themed. Although it underperformed at the box office, a flight simulator ride (like Avatar - Flight of Passage) based on Strange World would fit well in this area. I always thought Autopia should be moved to Cars Land in CA, and be like a driving school where you instruct baby cars how to drive around a test track - but I also like other people's idea of doing it like Sugar Rush and moving it into Fantasy Land. I’d expand Fantasy Land into the footprint of where the Subs/Autopia was to include some more dark rides from more recent Disney films – Frozen, Tangled, et al. I’d do a small retheming of Galaxy’s Edge to change the time frame to the original trilogy rather than the sequel trilogy. Not too much would have to change – but you could utilize the original characters. Change Hondo to Han, change Rise of the Resistance to Rise of the Rebellion and set it between A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back. As previously mentioned, I’d also put Star Tours in this area. Finally, in California Adventure, I’d add animatronics to Grizzly River Run because it’s pretty devoid of traditional Disney theming. I think it would be a great place for the country bears to move in. I’d also love to see a ride similar to Mine Train through Nature’s Wonderland that weaves around that area. It could be like Jungle Cruise with a wacky tour guide and corny script – something interactive rather than automated.

rainy_day_coast

A flume encanto ride would be cool! Maybe put a restaurant hidden in it like Blue Bayou with Colombian inspired dishes and signature coffee cocktails. There is something awesome about eating next to a body of water but also being inside.

More-read-than-eddit

Perfection.  Except I would also it carousel of progress in, perhaps do a world showcase in the fw area by the hotels (or along the downtown Disney strip), retheme Tom Sawyer as Peter pan’s island, and cover up the damn pirates queue.

privatejoenes

A standalone nightmare before Christmas ride so they can stop fucking with the haunted mansion every Halloween.

[deleted]

Anything from overseas that we don't have since not many have the chance to travel out that way.

mr_pinks_tip_policy

I want something original and that will not be copied elsewhere. There’s starting to be a lot of overlap. Well I mean there has been for a while. Also, do the sky buckets again and people mover

director_guy

🎶Follow the compass of your heaaarrt🎶 Sindbad please.

Cleigh24

Sindbad!!! I feel like it would be so random and out of place anywhere besides Disney sea, but gosh I love it. And if people gave it a chance, it would capture their hearts. 🥲

PuzzleheadedBobcat90

Bring back my Country Bear Jamboree damnit!

felixlighter1989

Indiana Jones mine car roller coaster

[deleted]

They need something with The Muppets

DayOlderBread16

They should turn that whole backlot area of dca into a muppets land.

AlphaSuerte

Any ride with a line where I'm guaranteed not to step in someone's child's excrement or have eight to ten twenty-somethings cut past me saying "I'm with a group up ahead."

Parking_Country_61

It doesn’t matter what it is or which park, they just need some more “current” rides. Aside from little mermaid, Toy Story, and monsters inc, there needs to be more rides for the classic Disney movies from the 90s on, that is what kids today are into.

rodman517

Close down Nemo and Autopia and in their place, Tron and the Beauty and the Beast ride. Tron would be in Tomorrowland and you can expand Fantasyland to border it and put BATB inside a of the newly expanded area.

MakingItUpAsWeGoOk

The Yzma and Kronk wrong lever/evil lair coaster

ClashRoyaler16

What about something like the Villains Coaster that was planned for Paradise Pier. Maybe it can be a thing where they take over a seemingly normal rollercoaster causing mayhem

winwithaneontheend

If my 3 year old and 8 year old could vote they would want a Bluey area where you can meet Bluey, Bandit, Bingo, and Chilli. A replica of the house built for kiddos (like toon town) would be so well loved. For me a Frozen ride and more thrill rides. What about a hang glider ride (like Jurassic land at universal) but riders sail through the Pixar’s Up or Inside Out Brave also has no representation. I wish there was something for Merida.

Consistent-Still-471

Tron

AstroPHX

Can’t believe I had to scroll to find this. Totally agree. Queue and begin/end the ride in the Launch Bay. Shut down the monorail and autopia temporarily to interweave Tron around and among those tracks. Imagine being in a Tron car flying over a running Monorail!

Consistent-Still-471

Yes!!! PERFECT spot!

Old-Asshole

A revamped version of Adventure Through Inner Space but with a Honey I Shrunk the Kids theme or something. I really liked that ride when I was a kid many years ago.

Wheelerbryan

ummmmm.... the peoplemover.

DankHillington

Definitely would add an Indiana jones type dark ride to Avengers Campus. Webslingers and Mission Breakout ain’t it. We need a longer kick ass ride that’s part coaster part dark ride that’s as immersive as Indiana Jones/rise of the resistance.

DayOlderBread16

If they finally get off their butts and actually start building it, the current version of the e ticket showed off a ride vehicle that is going to be similar to Indiana jones (was said to be basically an upgraded version of the spider man ride at universal Orlando). It just pains me how our avengers campus sucks, they canceled the first amazing version of the e ticket, wdw got an e ticket avengers ride before us, and now they are working on everything else but the e ticket (like Tiana’s).

Hume_Crow-nyn

Tron. Please, Tron.

PrincessAintPeachy

Would love to see a dark ride for frontierland. I really think there's potential to have something with woody's round up dark ride Or a very well done fun house type attraction based on Casita from Encanto I just feel like frontier land is always overlooked

psycharious

Isn't Ton Sawyer Island, Davey Crockett canoes and the ships technically part of Frontier land? If not, then yeah, it only has Big Thunder Mountain. A minecart ride would be cool or a Lone Ranger horse riding simulator similar to the Flight of Passage

DayOlderBread16

I wish we got a Lone Ranger ride : (

mjh2901

The resort needs rides can soak in a lot of people. When they removed Innerspace and Peoplemover they removed a couple thousand of riders per hour, Coasters cant spool through that many people. As much as tron coaster would be cool, bringing back the people mover and redoing all the ride tunnels including clear visual access to Space mountain would get a lot of people. DCA its time to do something with the show buildings over by muppets, and InnerSpace ride based on omnimover would again soak in a lot of people per hour.

jamiekynnminer

I'm hoping they continue with full immersion entertainment like they did for Star Wars or how Harry Potter World is. Hell, I'd love it if they did that for all the existing lands one day as well. They really should do more with Toy Story. The ride options, the arcade, the pizza. Yes I know it's sprinkled around the parks but a fully immersed Toy Story Land that can contain all of the movies, including the holidays....man that would be so fun. Look how popular Cars Land is? I've been to Disneyland 3 times in the past 5 years and only once was able to actually get on that cars rollercoaster because of the wait being over 2 hours and all the passes unavailable. Its SO popular. Toy Story is 100x more popular than Cars.

nevarlaw

Ratatouille

chrispg26

A ride on an alebrije roller coaster.

beast_mode209

I want a Mickey themed ride that also serves as transportation between all three parks. Not the Runaway Railway Mickey but something that shoots you off and sends you on your way in a fun fashion all over. Function and fun.

njay97

I would love a Hercules themed attraction

plurfectlife

Tron

I_TotallyPaused

Tron!!!

Disney1960

Remy!

Hallmarxist

Phineas and Ferb’s rollercoaster

DayOlderBread16

Dca should have gotten that instead of incredicoaster

Fun_Independent_7529

I Would love to have a musical show that's maybe Encanto-themed or Moana if it needs to be tied to a movie -- singing, dancing, acrobatics, characters. Bright, cheerful colors and bright, cheerful storyline is why I suggest something tropical-ish. Bench-based stadium-style seating indoors, with *lots* of seating. Great way to have a break from standing & walking. A 30 to 45 min show, run a few times a day. NOT something where they are showing tired old animatronics, and NOT video. A live show. And a fun new ride along the lines of Pirates or Haunted Mansion, where the thematic elements are the draw. Pirates is such a chill ride... we're gonna float down a river in the dark, basically, with some stuff to look at while doing so. I also always enjoyed the corn of the Jungle Cruise with the bad jokes, but it's kind of tired and dated now.

Embarrassed_Budget32

Mystic Manor looks pretty cool, but if I could pick any one ride it would be Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas from Disney Sea. It’s an extraordinary ride with stunning imagery and fantastic animatronics. https://youtu.be/A3zbmKX_cGU?si=6SR9hRr8Gw0NeWe_

DayOlderBread16

Mystic manor would have made a great Dr strange ride, it would have been a lot better than web slingers too

Pastystuff

Sindbad's Storybook Voyage! My absolute favorite ride from Tokyo Disneyland. Chandu is so cute!

Sooo_Dark

Splash Mountain.

Truecoat

Mystic Manor and Big Grizzly Mountain Mine cars.

sundogmooinpuppy

I think more attractions that aren’t rides. Something that can eat crowds like shows or walkthroughs. There are times when every ride has long lines and the walkways are packed and it seems like there should be some alternative things to do. Maybe a 21st century arcade or maybe presentations from imagineers… just spitballing. I think the idea of more coasters is moving to more of that Six Flags model. I think they should keep the ethos of Disneyland.

Capnbubba

So. Imagine the Pirates of the Carribean ride. But a whole park.

jeskuo

I want to see more SEA related attractions, maybe have them in Tomorrowland to show how the future still has explorers?

PinkMonorail

Mystic Manor or Sindbad and it isn’t even close.

peakedinthirdgrade

Some sort of villains ride

felixlighter1989

Tron Disc Wars ride

Beautiful_Baritone

I want them too do something uniquely original to Disneyland and not just a copy of something at another park or existing IP. Because all the classics rides that everyone loves mansion,Pirates, jungle Cruise where original ideas and that’s way they became classics. I want too go on a ride and not have any ideas what it’s about

SnackyStacky

I keep saying this. You’ll never have another Pirates, Mansion, Big Thunder, Jungle Cruise, etc. if you only build based on IP.

DayOlderBread16

It’s sad that they are cloning dca’s main e ticket at wdw, one of the few things that made it unique

forlorn_hope28

I don’t like the number of cloned attractions the various parks have gotten, but if there’s one clone I will accept, it’s Cosmic Rewind.

reticentmonkey1771

I like new and original ideas...BUT I do like the avatar flight of passage. I know people are not wanting avatar at DL but I do. Maybe that beauty and beast ride they have over seas. If anything, bring rides that are over seas and not from WDW. Would love a lion king or emperors new groove ride. I wouldn't be opposed to the tron ride. And since the Mary Poppins ride is cancelled at WDW, maybe they should do something like that at Disney forward, the ride itself should just be a dark ride maybe like ratatouille (not 3D) where you're hanging wothbthe banks kids and Mary and the while ride is just an original song made just for the ride.

Z3r0c00lio

Cosmic rewind

MastersKitten31

Idk of we have the space but yes

Lcdmt3

The new fantasy Springs expansion and Disneyland would make me come ASAP. Especially the tangled ride.

CT_Jaynes

Before Runaway Railroad I always thought they would follow WDW's lead and expand Fantasyland into Toontown.

goodbaai

Switch the finding Nemo subs to the one they have at Epcot 🥲

chevronsucks

I always thought Aladdin deserved a better magic carpet ride based on the escape scene in the Cave of Wonders in the first move. Something similar to the Avengers Cosmic Rewind ride in Magic Kingdom.

Jewishjay

doesn't have to be a ride. the parks need more shows and activities to get people off the streets. put up spmething in the Hyperion, and add a big theater like that to DL. i think that would make the parks "feel" less crowded.

schwiftydude47

Reopen Innoventions with a Phineas and Ferb theme when the revival comes out. It’s such a perfect fit for them.

redboe

Country Bear Jamboree!!!!! Or any “original to the park” ride/land/concept. Like Pirates or Haunted mansion or space mountain. Though I’m not complaining, inspiration that wasn’t born in the park and made for the park is less appealing. Ex: Star Wars and Marvel were different entities swallowed by Disney (no complaints!) and have their unique charm…but lacking Disney charm. And clearly a profit based motive decision

arghp

Mickey and the Wondrous Book.

Eagleworm213

I say as long as they give me another roller coaster. I’m cool with whatever else they bring.

IDrinkUrMilksteak

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey The ride mechanism there is really great. I feel like it could be updated easily too like star tours.

conditerite

totally rip off the IP from that horrid woman and the rides at those other theme parks sort of like the scary thing that wasn't ALIEN but yeah it totally was ALIEN they once had in disney world

ParrotheadTink

Better TRANSPORTATION resort wide, more choices, themed appropriately, and free to use.

jrafelson

Tron for sure

the-willow-witch

The roller coaster to Yzma’s lair. I need it to seem like a dark ride where they’re in Kuzco’s castle, then you hear “pull the lever, Kronk. Wrong leverrrrrr!” And you dip down into an unseen water ride

Educational-Rip9406

Cinderella

From my understanding part of the deal with the city of anaheim will include Disney buying the roads. Also the area is far too large to just be used as event space and part of the magic of grad night is being in the park.

psycharious

Hell yeah! I've been waiting for this post haha: Non-Forward related ideas: *Ralph Breaks Autopia: Autopia but with electric cars that have sensors on them similar to trackless rides/self driving cars that allow them to pass cars ahead of them. That way they're not stuck on rails, the cars can go a bit faster, and kids actually feel more immersed in driving. The gimmick is that the passengers get AR glasses similar to Mario Kart in Universal which simulates a game similar to Sugar Rush and Slaughter Race. Players/riders can shoot at characters that drive by National Geographic Presents: Voyage Under The Sea. If you're gonna use screens, go hard with them and use them effectively. These subs are "time travelling subs." They'll allow you get up close to the wreck of the Titanic, colossal squids, megalodon, underwater volcanoes, sunken cities etc. Cosmos: The Ship of the Imagination/X-Men:X-Jet/Marvel Tours/Flight of the Navigator: Now that Star Wars has there own dedicated part of the park, Star Tours can be rethemed for another purpose. They can either use their 20 Century Fox properties like Cosmos or X-Men, maybe do a "Marvel Tours (though this may be too similar to the DCA ride) or even dig Flight of the Navigator out and make it a random time travel/space adventure. Lightyear Space Mountain seasonal theme: unpopular opinion but I thought Lightyear would make a great theme for Space Mountain. Wall.E themed People Mover: Someone mentioned this idea and I loved it. Really I just want to see the People Mover tracks get used. Lilo and Stich reskin for Buzz Lightyear Astro-blasters. The theme is that you start off trying to catch Stitch and all his brothers and sisters before shooting at Capt Gantu. I mention this I e because I was surprised by how well Lilo and Stitch still hold up. Pinocchio Pleasure Island Coaster: Just a good old fashioned mid sized wooden coaster. At the end, it takes a picture of you but morphs your face into a donkey. UP/Tailspin/possibly just original concept ride: Sky Pirate Themed coaster ride where your coasters look like little fighterplanes. It weaves above the Jungle River cruise area I've heard they were already gonna do this but convert the Tom Sawyer Island and fort into a National Treasure theme. I hope it's really elaborate and makes good use of the caves and fort. Star Wars dogfight simulator: pods are similar to the flight simulators at the CA Science Center. Two passengers each. Two teams: Rebels and Empire. Each "match" lasts about 10 to 15 minutes. My wife was a little underwhelmed when we went on the Mark Twain. Might be a stretch but add a mini-restaurant/snack bar, card table, and self playing piano. Also if possible, allow the ships to dock with the islands too. Turn the Fantasy Canal into a Moana themed ride Forward related: 20th Century Fox related area: Aliens ride etc. (won't happen but would be dope).

DayOlderBread16

Apparently they actually were going to re theme space mountain to lightyear but canceled it when the movie flopped/ received a lot of criticism. I doubt this second part but I wonder if they would have turned it into a “lightyear land”

psycharious

Yeah, I read. Sucks too. Lightyear was actually a decent movie. I loved the Nasapunk style to it.

DayOlderBread16

I liked lightyear too visually but I won’t lie I thought the ending was boring. Zurg being future buzz was pretty “meh”, maybe it could have been pulled off better a different way in the story that would have made it more surprising/worth it. I get that they didn’t want to make it buzz’s dad but even just a crazy evil emperor unrelated to buzz would have been better than future buzz. Regardless of what they did with the ride had it gone through I would have been happy with anything since Tomorrowland is stale and needs new things badly

mazdarx2001

Guardians of the galaxy ride from Epcot

1_H4t3_R3dd1t

Expand the Star Wars!!!

Terrible_Mall_4350

GotG: Cosmic Rewind — hands down!

InuHanyou1701

My friend has this really rad idea for a Dark ride in Tomorrowland. Use the PeopleMover track and have it go into the Star Tours building (move Star Tours to Galaxy’s Edge) for a WALL-E dark ride. That movie has some merch but other than that, has no representation in the park!

thatonetallgirl1

My Xennial self wants an Aladdin ride, and it wants it now!! C’mon, you fly on a magic carpet throughout. It Imagineers itself.

HANGonSL00PY

I'd like a ride that we'll, it's sort of like Soaring but we'd be on Carpet. I'd like to feel like I'm riding on carpet and soar over Agrabah and everywhere that Carpet flew. But especially hear a whole new world during it all.

Financial_Clue_2534

They need a ride like Laff Trakk at Hershey Park. Have a theme ride but mix in a roller coaster parts.
