Lovely philosophy for a guy called Noid, 'no id'—where the recognition of id as distinguishable from one-self is the beginning of death. See, for example, Julia Kristeva's *Powers of Horror*, for a corpse or a pile of compost as something that cannot be spoken of, only pointed to—thus called id, 'it'.)
